Every year during lent I crave a filet o fish sandwich. I have to admit that my last one(not from this location) was not good. But this location gave me a perfectly made sandwich: fresh, soft bun, perfectly crisped and flavorful fish, tangy tartare sauce, and melted slice of American cheese. I have gone to this location a few times before in the morning and a younger lady that manages the location seems to have a not so well attitude. The service is terrible, usually I don't have an issue with them constantly messing up our orders, but today my husbands deaf father in law ordered online for pick up, my husband went in to pick it up and the Big Mac his father ordered himself had cheese on it (he's allergic). My husband politely was trying to ask if they could make a new one without cheese because of this allergy and before he could even finish talking the MANAGER (short chubby woman) ripped the burger out of his hands, while doing so she cut his hand with one of her nails and stormed to the back to get the replacement. So I have said it before , I'll say it again.... I do not leave reviews on fast food, the reason being it's fast food ( not expecting much). My big problem was with what I overheard. Apparently, Bori ( I'm assuming a hiring manager) was on an interview where she completely treated this kid like crap. I would go as far as to call her a bully. I have no idea what business that is of a possible new hire. Bori seems irritated and starts to pick on the young man's shoes , which I can clearly see they're restruant non-slip shoes ( the ugly ones lol) . Anyhow, this lady tells the kid he has the wrong non-slip shoes and tells him (rudely) he can't be employed there. The young man offers to show her the restaurant website he purchased from . She refuses and says, " I don't give second chances." Bori was clearly in a bad mood about her schedule change . Really pisses me off when you see a youth trying to be productive , especially now at days, just to be mistreated and denied a job. "Second Chances" . Seems kind of ironic since she had no idea what her actual schedule is and who she's scheduled with to interview. Watching this young man try to plead for this job, it seemed he was offered, as he looked dressed for it , was just absolutely horrible. fast food arent perfect, its a 50/50 chance that mistakes are going to be made. its how you handle the mistakes that decides a 1-5 star rating. and ive never ran into such a bad manager in my entire life. heres what happened in drive through the menu was advertising how you can modify the burgers to your liking. so i ordered a double cheese burger with a fish fillet patty added to the burger. needless to say they forgot my fish fillet patty, which i was charged $3 for. and that wasnt a big deal, so i went inside to kindly ask for my patty. i understand mistakes happens, i work in the food industry. the first crew member quickly goes back and called a manager. her name was joanne or joanna, she comes out mad like i was the one who made the mistake. and said with an attitude with one hand in the air, "yea its in a box we dont put it in the burger for you." i quickly replied " its not in the burger? " she goes " no we dont do that" at this point im getting frustrated, because i was thinking why advertise modifications when its not what you do. i said " well i dont have the patty " she replies "its not in the bag?" I came in at approximately 1 p.m. & ordered a sausage mc muffin with egg meal. I was quickly handed the tray. It didn't have the egg, but the main problem was that it was leftover from earlier. It was dry & of poor quality. If I'd had more time, I would have sent it back. Worst item I've ever had at a fast food place. Drive thru was so crowded both lanes ...a car in front of me must of had her order wrong cause she started to move forward and I as well then she put her car in reverse but I was in her way. So I told the gentleman at my window that the lady in front at second pick up window needed his help. McDonald's on Benjamin Holt in Stockton, California. I came here awhile back with my kids for dinner. My daughter wanted some Hello Kitty happy meal toys. So I ordered a happy meal too so she could get two toys. My Son stated "Dad I'm in my Stagg High football jersey" "we're in Lincoln Trojan territory" "So I'm gonna rep my school on them" Gotta love high school football. Note: Free WiFi The customer service was good and the wait time wasn't bad either. The food is well McDonald's and sometimes it can be bad but for us that evening it was great. More importantly we had a great family moment and that's all that matters to me. I just loved seeing my daughter playing with her new toys. That really put a smile on my face. I literally worked a double shift today and I go by to grab a quick bite because I have only eaten once today so i get a 20 piece nugget and I get home & I take a bite into them & they are SO HARD. They are so dark they don't even look appetizing. We had such an unbelievably positive customer service experience, I felt it necessary, for the first time, to yelp a fast food establishment. At approximately 12:30 AM, (2/1) tired hungry and miserable, after a six hour plane flight to Sacramento, we were nearing home and hungry in all transparency, we rarely eat "fast food", I am 70,... We had never been to the brand new McDonald's on Benjamin Holt. We were actually surprised the drive-through is open The two young gentleman who took our order and also delivered the food, were so friendly, genuinely nice, and alert and awake,... As the three of us drove off, we talked about these guys for the duration of the short trip home. And I might add, the sandwiches were excellent! And one last final shout out, they even paid attention to our cute little dog. We have had many many experiences in Stockton, relative to marginal customer service, that is less than stellar... We have noticed that in other communities, we find young adults who seem eager to come to work and do the job... Not always the local experience. I don't write reviews ever but I just read a review from yesterday & it seems the hiring manager BORI has a pattern of being a bully to young workers and having zero mentor qualities what so ever! My step son was just fired walking into his first day for having the wrong shoes on. They told him slid resistant all black shoes. This is only his second job ever from graduating and he's not even 18 yet. He's extremely motivated to work and has been walking everywhere for hours to get something & even went to Walmart with his own saved up money- bought the shoes and two new black slacks specifically for this job. She claimed they weren't the right shoes and she showed him previously when she hadn't. He only received a text saying all black slip resistant. She said they were supposed to have a clear box on the bottom and the words oil resistant which was never physically shown to him or said in those exact words. She then said she had to terminate his employment, he could no longer work there. This lady seems like she is definitely not professional or thorough during the hiring process when he called 3 separate times for her, was never given a call back plus was a no show to one of his interviews. We have all these young people trying to make it starting out in a not so easy world and then we have these bullies trying to break them down. Being my neighborhood McDonalds that I pass several times a day & sometimes stop in at.. I think I'll go somewhere else from now on. I HIGHLY recommend BORI gets some training on how to be compassionate, a mentor & stops being a snatch to our youth! read more
