My husband and I arrived early, at about 5:20 in the morning, going through the drive-thru. The breakfast portion of the menu hadn't been put out, and we waited for two minutes before calling out to see if anybody was even there to take our order. The girl on the headphones apologized and said she would be right out to take care of the menu. When we were finally able to order, I asked for the sausage and egg biscuit with cheese and my husband asked for a number five combo with a sweet iced vanilla coffee. We were then informed that their fryers were down, so they couldn't make hash browns, and would we mind just getting the main part of the meal? He sighed and said fine. We got our total and rolled up to the window. Upon paying and receiving my receipt, I noticed that the cashier had put down a sausage and egg biscuit without any cheese. My husband had to flag down someone inside to make sure that was taken care of. During the flurry of receiving our drinks, we could clearly hear the young cashier say "I am so stressed!!" Not a good thing for your customers to be hearing! The food we got was mediocre at best. At least it was warm and put together properly. My biscuit felt like it had been tossed in the microwave for a few seconds too long and then left to sit and cool while the rest of the sandwich was being made. My husband's burritos had egg lumps that were dry and hard. He remarked that while the iced coffee he got wasn't the best he'd ever had, it was at least palatable enough to drink without cringing. Of course, that was when we finally got the straws to go with the drinks, as more of an afterthought, after receiving our food. The server had to run inside the restaurant for said straws, as there were none currently stocked at the window. Interestingly enough, a customer inside also clearly had a problem with her food, as she was showing an open sandwich wrapper to the servers inside. All in all, it took us ten minutes to get through the drive-thru, and we were the only ones going through. It is the only McDonald's in Trinidad, which is why I assume this establishment is still in business, and it is also the only establishment that is open this early (although barely functioning). For future early morning meals on the go, my husband and I will certainly be stopping elsewhere. read more

This has to be one of the worst, most unorganized McDonald's I have ever seen in my 40 plus years upon this earth. Went in with a friend, and all we wanted was a Large Sprite, and a Large NON-sweet Iced tea. Well, after waiting for about 5 minutes, they finally got our drinks made, But they did Sweet Iced tea instead of what we asked for. How difficult is it to get a couple of drink orders made? Half the crew seemed to be standing around without a clue as to what was going on while the other half were doing all the work. Fast Food at a Glacial Pace! OK, that may be unfair to glaciers. We had a simple order, but it took 20 minutes. There seemed to be a lot of staff, it was not particularly busy, but during our 20 minutes of standing around we observed a number of other disgruntled customers who apparently had to wait an inordinant amount of time for their food. Being a local in Trinidad, I thought Sonic had the worse service out of the fast food choices in the area- yet I stand corrected. We were charged for 2 extra sodas and when we expressed our concern we were told because we already paid there was nothing they could do. They also refused to let us use a coupon for the same reason, although I had told the woman I would be using a coupon when I ordered. The manager was even less helpful, and after 15 minutes of 'fixing' the problem he returned with the same amount of change we had gotten previously. This was of course after he stated "its that f*cking b*tch's fault" referring to one of his employees. I have never had worse service and McDonalds will be the last place I will stop for food when I'm in the area again. I would give 0 stars if I could. read more

8:00 on a Sunday night. One car in fro t of us. We ordered a hamburger, fries, and a chicken sandwich in the drive through. Not a complicated order, but they had us pull over to a wait area to wait. On August 5, 2018 (in the am), I experienced an employee being fired in front of customers. I wrote a review on google, but today 2 weeks later, the review has been removed. IT'S NOT COOL TO FIRE AN EMPLOYEE IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS!!! The female manager who fired this employee needs to loose her own job for doing this! Very unprofessional!! I purchased a happy meal for my son. It was a cheese burger. When I went to dress it... there was no lettuce and tomatoes. I returned to the cashier to ask about this and was told that "children do not eat these things so they do not put it in the burger." I was flabbergasted to say the least. My response to this was.... "my son eats healthy so please put the lettuce and tomatoes." I was then told that it was four (S4.00) dollars extra for the tomatoes. If I did not already pay my monies I was taking it back!!! I find this to be a major rip off and I am not pruchasing from there again. They are unscrupulous and I would advise persons NEVER to purchase from there again because the little attempt at making children eat healthy is ripped from our hands. read more

This is the WORST McDonald's I've ever been to. Their employees are not aware of the term "customer service", as they appear obviously annoyed to the inconvenience of taking an order. You are left standing at the front waiting for an employee to even acknowledge your existence for several minutes and eventually have to somewhat aggressively ask for their attention to order or get something they forgot to give you. Once you do get your food, it is very sloppily put together and looks unappetizing. What ever happened to taking pride in your job? Disgusting place all the way around. Holy crap! I wish that could be my whole review. This place is so bad you start to think they are trying to mess up on purpose. There was trash everywhere, nothing was stocked in the dining area, and it took forever to get our order because they spent most of their time fixing orders they had screwed up. Ultra slow counter service. Line built up out the door. Only one person on register and she was just plodding along. Didn't care. Lots others in the kitchen. Manager non existent. First off the lady taking the order you could not understand when she read back the order. When she gave us our cups there were NO STRAWS OR LIDS. When we asked for them, they acted put out. Prior to us getting our food 5 people in front of us were missing part of there order. They also didn't have any ketchup. Like- its mcdonalds, I get it, but this was so gross, so slow, and the people were horrible!! Our band was traveling, and for a breakfast stop we ate at this McDonald's. The area was very clean. Although our band is fairly large (and frankly obnoxious), the service was fast and the employees were very nice. They apologized when my smoothie took longer than other orders to make; however, I was not bothered, because the atmosphere of the McDonald's was quite pleasant. this mcdonalds in general needs a overhaul in people that work there and the people they let hang out there. I ve watched them on several times giving away free food also to their friends that hang out there all night..the service is horrible. the managers sit outside at midnight and the whole crew is out there smoking marijuana. they probably need to drug test the manager. she was all jittery complaining about not sleeping for days. then while in line of about 6 others besides me the manager decides to run outside for a smoke brake and my food is sitting up in the heat chute. aren't customers supposed to be first priorty?. not here at this mcdonalds. they are very rude to customers . how a employee gonna sit in front of customers arguing about doing their work. The worst McDonald's experience ever! SLOW! Must be terrible management. They can't handle the traffic. Go somewhere else.

Just arrived at this McDonald's after a 14 hour drive. Nothing else was open and we decided on McDonald's for a quick, decent meal. We arrived at 1120 or so store closes at 12. Several employees greet us with sighs, not a good start. The cashier goes on to tell us just about everything was either sold out or broken. No breakfast and ice cream I get but no French fries is a new low. Still decide to give them a chance. Got our drinks and most all carbonated drinks tasted off, no lids and the floor was half covered in soda. After getting our food most of it was halfass wrapped and cold. My chicken sandwich had two bottoms as buns and my friends had two tops as buns. Pretty sure they were screwing with us.... probably the worst restaurant experience in a decade. Stay away. I will update if I get sick.... probably should have boiled my food before eating. Hope they can turn this place around but I have low hopes read more

Went to McDonalds in Trinidad this afternoon for lunch. The Ladies room was terrible. Paper all over the floor. The food was served on a bare tray, no paper mat, and the fries were cold. There were no napkins. The cashier managed to find 2 for me, but she wiped her hands on one of them. YUK! 20 minutes later, small children with ice cream were looking for napkins. I went to try to find them some but was again informed that there were no napkins. The surly cashier handed me a roll of bathroom paper towels and said I could peel off what I needed. The trash cans at the door hadn't been emptied for quite some time. I didn't ask for a Manager because they were quite busy and I needed to get the hell out of there. UGH!! read more

Been stopping here for ten years while travling through several times a year. The restaurant is always clean, staff friendly and has the only playland for children in the whole town. Services has always been great. Two exits on and off the highway - you'd have to be a very novice traveler not to be able to follow the signs (though you can SEE both ramps from the parking lot!). FREE WIFI makes it easy for us to update our travel plans and catch up on emails. Staff has always been helpful and friendly. Great variety with DOLLAR MENU - which is hard to find in remote locations. Also has McCafe Esspresso drinks and smoothies. Great music and lobby televisions! read more

Please, if you are traveling along I25 DO NOT stop at this McDonalds. I stopped here on December 1st 2015. When my two young children started to became antsy during our long drive I thought happy meals would do the trick. First of all the town of Trinidad itself gives off a creepy vibe, just a very small place with many abandoned buildings. Also growing up in Denver my grandparents used to tell me ghost stories about hauntings in Trinidad CO, so just driving through gave me the creeps. Finally after driving through the town we found the McDonalds and pulled up to the drive through speaker. I waited for a good 5 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. I ordered 2 chicken nugget happy meals and a parfait with a coffee for myself. I pulled around to the window and when I looked inside all of the lights were off and there appeared to be no workers inside. After a few minutes a middle aged woman who was not even wearing a uniform appeared from the darkness and took my money, gave me my change, and said our food would be out shortly...walking back into the darkness. While we were waiting a man dressed in all black walked out of the side door of the restaurant and ran through the parking lot and up the street. At this point I was so scared and creeped out that I put my car in drive and was ready to say screw the food and just leave but at the same moment the woman opened the window with our food. I quickly grabbed it and drove away. My kids happily ate their chicken nuggets and fries while I drank my coffee. Our stop to McDonalds was around 11 at night and at about 11:45 I felt an overwhelming wave of tiredness come over me like nothing I have ever felt. It was so difficult to even keep my eyes open never-mind drive! I decided to pull over and sleep at a Best Western for the night at around midnight. I slept until 11 am the morning, a full 11 hours. I am not saying for sure that this McDonalds drugged me in any way but I do think it was quite the coincidence that I became that tired so quickly after drinking the coffee. Looking back now a week later I should have left and not even waited for the food. Also the man who ran out of the side in black, what was his deal? Why didn't that woman have a uniform on? And why we're all the lights off inside? I don't know but what I do know is that I will never stop in Trinidad CO ever again and I advise you to do the same! read more
