McDonald's in Trinidad, Co. Stopped here on the 27th 1:33pm. Only because I was in the mood for fries and iced tea. Big mistake! Filthy, dirty, overflowing trash, dirty tables, and no one seemed to care. When told of the broken toilets and lack of paper towels in the women's room the manager(?) didn't care and mumbled about how they don't have supplies, etc. The soda machine was broken, and we were not offered to have it filled from the machine at the drive-thru window. Just that its broken. There was only sweet tea, when I asked if there was any unsweetened tea at the window, there wasn't but the girl did say that she would brew some. -she was the only one that seemed competent enough to be working there. I don't know how the McDonald's Corp. is allowing this franchisee to keep his license. Seems that there is no training and that the owner is uncaring. Turns me off of all McDonalds. read more

This franchise is not a McDonalds. The atmosphere is tense, food is not enjoyable, they do not serve their full menu all the time, and I do not feel welcome. We followed the "Golden Arches" from the highway... saw the sign in the distance... drove toward the sign and suddenly the arches were gone and there was no McDonald's... just a sign in the rear view mirror... and a sub shop and a gas station. Couldn't have made a worse decision. Twenty-five minutes. 2 customers inside and 4 cars. Ordered 20pc nuggett. A fish sand. 3 lg fry. 2 soft drinks. A 1/4 lbr plain and a happy meal. We ordered the easiest items on the menu: a Big Mac Meal and a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal. 14 minutes later, when our food was served, I asked the person who served the food (who appeared to be a manager by the way she was giving orders) what her expectation for timely service was, if 15 minutes was acceptable. When you don't get everything you order and paid for you shouldn't have to fight for it. We were missing an item from a mobile order. We went back through the drive-thru and when we explained we were told we would have to go in and talk to a manager. We explained we hadn't planned on going in and didn't have masks with us. We asked if a manager could come out instead. We were told very rudely "well, maybe, I'll have to check." I was pretty upset at the rudeness of this employee who said "I can't have you yelling at me through the intercom." Well, maybe get things correct and have better customer service and this wouldn't happen. We checked the food before pulling away and at my glance all the food was in there, I can't take out all the food in the car before pulling away, that's their job to put the food in the bag that's been paid for. This McDonald's is very up and down. Sometimes great - sometimes very frustrating. The in-store soda fountains often seem to require service, as the soda tends to be flat or not cold enough or both. The whole operation could use a good polish and managerial staff that set the bar for excellent service. This restaurant is likely many highway visitors' only in-person interaction with the town. When things are messy and staff does not perform well, there is a huge lost potential for a good first impression for our city. read more

March 2, 2020 while traveling for we like the dependable, uniform experience of McDonald's while traveling. This experience was anything but that! We waited about 20 minutes for our food - some people were waiting longer! When complaining to the manager, all I got was an, 'I'm sorry - we're understaffed'. No kidding! This isn't our problem - it's yours. I also noted this manager and at least one other - maybe more - sitting in a back office while waiting the 20 minutes for my food. Being a local in Trinidad, I thought Sonic had the worse service out of the fast food choices in the area- yet I stand corrected. We were charged for 2 extra sodas and when we expressed our concern we were told because we already paid there was nothing they could do. They also refused to let us use a coupon for the same reason, although I had told the woman I would be using a coupon when I ordered. The manager was even less helpful, and after 15 minutes of 'fixing' the problem he returned with the same amount of change we had gotten previously. This was of course after he stated "its that f*cking b*tch's fault" referring to one of his employees. Less than one star!!! Traveling all morning, we were looking for a quick bite off the interstate and then right back on. We were gravely mislead. First of all there is NOTHING quick or easy about this place. Very difficult to get to from the interstate. Upon arrival in the parking lot there are numerous individuals loitering and smoking by the entrance. It was crawling with people of all ages using the wifi, hanging out, and children running amuck. The front of house crew and food prep crew had horrible communication and were completely in the weeds. I guess it's never a good thing when the cashier asks for your order and upon hearing it looks over her shoulder and says "well, you might not get it"There was a couple at the counter that had waited 25 mins for an order of chicken! Wtf? Our order took about 10 mins and they did not properly prepare it as a "to go" order. Oh well, it is what it is, but I would not ever stop there again. read more
