I gave them a try three times in the last 6 weeks, and each and every time they got my order wrong (how hard is it to leave off pickles). I decided to treat my wife to a luncheon full meal - so where else but McDonald's for a quick meal. It is always hot when I get it home (less than a mile away). They have fast service, with smiles. I stop at this location a few times each year. The service and efficiency is always great her. My compete meal was about $22 and certainly within my budget. A pleasant experience I stopped in this morning for some breakfast. I thought 'what a nice person' as I chatted with my order taker. My order of Hotcakes & Sausage and a coffee was correct and ready in just a couple of minutes. I scrolled through the other reviews as I ate my food and was surprised to read about rude service because my visit was anything but. My food was also as I expected, which is to say it was pretty good. It was inexpensive and in short order I was done and back on the road. I hope my experience is their new normal. read more

I was the only car in the drive through. I put in my order and paid for it, when I pulled up to the second window, they told me they were making fresh fries for my order and if I could pull ahead to the "Thank you" line. I refused to pull ahead just to bring up their numbers. I'm the only car here. Why should I have to pull forward? The manager even came to the window and asked me to pull forward. I still refused. Such a great company. As I was there with my step-daughter your employee apologized for the wait which I was perfectly fine with seeing that they were low staffed. An older women became very rude Savannah about the wait but as anyone should do was calm an apologized and that she would be with her as soon as she can but the older women remained being rude but Savannah stayed calmed throughout the whole time. As I was leaving I could tell she was very upset so I apologized for how rude the women was being even though I didn't know the women. But you have a great staff especially Savannah. read more

Don't bother with special orders, the crew on a Saturday morning is incapable of fulfilling them If you order something well done, it will come out undercooked and nearly cold. In fact, this McDonald location embodies the WORST elements often: undercooked, greasy and dirty feeling. Manager on duty is perpetually unconcerned about failures in execution and often defensive. After spending over 15 minutes in the line, with no movement at all, when I finally got up to the window they tried to hand me the wrong order 3 times. They didn't remember my LG coke, I had to ask for it and then after I had driven away, I went to take a bite of my food.... And it was all cold. The only reason they even get 1 star is because the young people who took my order and fixed my order were very pleasant....but I will not be going to any McDonalds in the Venice area again! To pay $2 for an iced tea, when every other McDonalds I go to outside of this area charges less, is ridiculous. They don't offer every advertised special. When the 2/$3.50 fish was advertised I ordered only to find 1/4 slice of cheese instead of the full slice normally found on a fish sandwich. There is another McDonalds south of Jacaranda on Tamaimi, and others close to I-75 that follow the correct recipe. Drive the extra mile, and get McDonalds not something like a McDonalds. read more
