I know the shop is small- an indoor seating area would have been so nice on this very cold day. The employees weren't overly chatty, in fact I'm not sure they said much to us. I asked a couple of questions about their sugar free flavor options and they were answered. I don't expect to make my next best friend while ordering coffee but a little warmth goes a long way. Our photographer had scoped out the dome behind the shop and mentioned that those usually have a heater in them. We wandered back there and it was a super cute set up with blankets and pillows. His enthusiasm and expertise made the experience enjoyable and left a great impression. On my second visit, I went inside and was greeted by a wonderful young lady named Savannah. She was pleasant, patient, and genuinely kind. Her warm smile and positive demeanor brightened my day and made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. It's not often that you find a coffee shop that combines great coffee with such outstanding customer service, but Kairos Coffee does exactly that. Believe me, I would have gladly pulled up a stool and reviewed the entire stack but as is often the case, the impatient husband was waiting in the car so I couldn't prolong my visit. I did grab a great sci-fi classic by Isaac Asimov; the book is pretty beat up but one dollar! Also spotted a tote bag featuring cats and books so that went home with me for sure. There are places to sit if you want to chill and read for a while. The lady behind the counter indicated that I could contact them for any old books I am searching for.
