Taylor's is a wonderful addition to the village. We popped in before a photo shoot we had scheduled to grab something warm while this Texas girl battled the frigid freezing temps. (Okay it was in the 30's this day but COME ON THIS IS COLD.) I enjoyed the large selection of drinks, but I opted for a hot chocolate. I know the shop is small- an indoor seating area would have been so nice on this very cold day. The employees weren't overly chatty, in fact I'm not sure they said much to us. I asked a couple of questions about their sugar free flavor options and they were answered. I don't expect to make my next best friend while ordering coffee but a little warmth goes a long way. Our photographer had scoped out the dome behind the shop and mentioned that those usually have a heater in them. We wandered back there and it was a super cute set up with blankets and pillows. Not fresh at all, and yes to the owner or employees reading this. You can tell when you brew fresh roasted coffee. If you want fresh coffee I recommend Script or Contemporoast. Can't tell if it's a coffee shop or a knickknack shop. Figure it out.

Believe me, I would have gladly pulled up a stool and reviewed the entire stack but as is often the case, the impatient husband was waiting in the car so I couldn't prolong my visit. I did grab a great sci-fi classic by Isaac Asimov; the book is pretty beat up but one dollar! Also spotted a tote bag featuring cats and books so that went home with me for sure.
