I was on my way headed north on the 5 back to Red Bluff and I remembered there was a Micky D's just off the freeway here in good ole Williams. As far as fast food goes, McDonald's in not a place I'd normally go. But I saw all these ads for this new Chicken Biscuit breakfast sandwich and the McGriddle Chicken breakfast sandwich priced at 2 for $3.00. Heck, at $1.50 a piece, I'll give it a try. The pictures in the ads always look way better then the actual product, but let's see. I arrived at this location around 7am and there a decent amount of people in there. I go inside to order. I ask, if they have the 2 for $3.00 deal. YEP. OK then gimme one of each, one biscuit and one McGriddle. The order comes out fast and service is no prob. I try the Biscuit chicken sandwich first. Unwrapping it, I do like that the chicken fried patty extends out from the biscuit. Same goes for burgers, patty smaller than the bun is just no good! I bite in and Hmmm.... the chicken is sort of dry, kinda like frozen and deep fried. But the biscuit is too dry to be used like this with just a piece of chicken in between. The biscuit is a bit crumbly. I'd pass on this one next time, even for $1.50! Next is the McGriddle Chicken Breakfast Sandwich. This is basically two McGriddle pancakes acting as the outside of a sandwich with just the same deep fried chicken in between. No sauce, no nothing, just the chicken. It's good the chicken appears to be all white meat and a little spicy with the fried breading. The pancakes are infused with maple flavored syrup. How they do that, I have no idea! Again, I'm happy the chicken piece extends out past the pancake. The pancakes are about 3 1/2 inches across, about the size of a smaller McDonald's burger. First bite, WOW, this is way better than that biscuit thingy I just tried! The sweetness on the infused syrup goes well with the crunchy spicy coating of the chicken, as the softness of the pancake contrasts well with the crispy coating of the chicken, sort of the way chicken, waffles and syrup go together. I really like this new breakfast sandwich, from McDonald's no less! The sandwich works surprisingly well, even without any sauces or condiments inside! Sweet, crunchy and spicy, this sandwich is a winner. Give it a try, just skip the biscuit thingy sandwich. Get 2 of these McGriddle breakfast sandwiches and you'll be McHappy! read more

If you really need to stop to eat go for it. We ordered a happy meal for my 2 year old through drive thru. The min I drive off I check the order. They put a spicy mc chicken sandwich ( I ordered a cheeseburger). Like are you serious. The lady who was taking out the orders was older &' seemed to be in a rush to do everything when I came in to tell them what happened. The gentleman who attended me was nice and switched it out. There was one other car in front of us and still we had to pull into a parking spot because our food wasn't ready when we pulled up to the window. They forgot my fries so I had to go in and get them. Sometimes the mass chain fast food restaurants get hit hard just because they are easy targets. Based on my experience, this McDonald's deserves the bad ratings. Poor service, an unclean restaurant and a poor response during a system malfunction made for a bad experience overall. We first came here because we figured we could get our caffeine fix and some food for my son. Plus it was one of the few bathroom options on a long road trip. Well, as soon as we arrived their system started malfunctioning. The crew stood around without much clue as to how to proceed while a massive line of cars built up in the drive-thru. It was all we needed to go visit the Starbucks across the street instead, where there was also some sort of computer issue, but where they handled it much more professionally. Throw in dirty restrooms and an overall unappealing and poorly maintained location and I would look elsewhere for your burger fix. read more

Despite some of the other reviews I have not seen much wrong with this McDonald's location.... The food was prepared and served extremely quickly even by "fast food standards." The staff was friendly and welcoming. It made for a pleasant atmosphere and a place I would frequent if I was local to the area. Overall this place is a great place to go if you're of African decent. While other places may or may not be overly enthused about your business I did not get that vibe here. Heading up or down the corridor you owe it to yourself to stop by and take breather at this restaurant. I write these reviews based on my experience so that others will benefit from the experiences that I have. But always do your own research! read more

FDA and/or BBB needs to get involved! SAFETY HAZZARD!!! Ignoring the bad food, horrible sub-standard service: the safety issue can actually cost human loss of life! As a first-time customer of this location, I was unable to negotiate the Drive Thru lane. Maybe because I'm an octogenarian, or maybe because the turns are too narrow and too sharp of angles. I damaged a very expensive wheel against one concrete curb. If the wheel ever fails and a life is lost (maybe a car load of family with kids, when my wheel breaks and we all die) McDonald's will be held liable for damages. ??? This McDonald's seems like it goes through its phases when it comes to accuracy of your order. If you like ordering ahead from an app for your food well it won't let you submit your order unless your a half a block away. You can pay for it but it won't be made literally almost until your In the drive through. Some of the staff are friendly others just appear to be overwhelmed with reading a receipt. I'm not sure of the drive through procedure McDonald's has but the order is packed on the line then placed on a table next to the drive through. I never see the drive through window attendant look in the bags and check for accuracy. Too many times this happens and the order is not complete. One of the worst MacDonalds I've ever been to. Food was mediocre. Not hot or fresh. Ladies room was dirty with most stalls out of toilet paper & seat covers over the floor and over flowing in the trash can in the stalls. While staying in Williams for one night, there are definitely limited food choices in the small city. For dinner tonight, I really wanted a salad because I haven't much fruits or vegetables all day today since my husband and I were stuck in the car driving all day from Oregon this morning. So I decided to stop by here to order the following: Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad- This salad comes with a small amount of yellow corn & black beans, Romaine lettuce with some general salad mix (dark green leafys), a few thinly sliced carrot pieces, a small amount of raw shredded cheese and south west seasoned corn chips. South west dressing is on the side in a very large dressing pouch. I had ordered this entree a few times and I felt that the salad portion of salad was on the small side and seemed to be smaller than usual. Double Cheeseburger- Pretty standard, but my hungry husband devoured it. ----------------------------------- (Total= $8.31 after tax) We made our order via drive through and the wait was pretty long which surprised me because there was only 1 person at the register inside. Overall, was a little more disappointed than usual with McDonald's. Not that I dine at McDonald's often, but when I do, I usually get fairly good service and wait time is usually not long (even in the drive through line). read more
