Ordered 3 meals. Fry's for two of the meals were burned. Requested replacement fries and received a second fry which was burned. Tried to eat 2nd fry anyway. After 3/4 of the fry was gone, it was too disgusting to continue eating. I requested a refund. The (I think manager) told me we ate too many of the fries and could only receive more fries. I accepted not wanting to cause a scene. But i was no longer hungry for fries. The 3rd set of fries met my original expectations. This McDonald's fails to meet my expectations of customer service. If they fail twice to get the fries correctly cooked and the customer requests a refund the refund should be honored. read more

Typical McDs with a play area for kids. They have a screen at the drive through to make sure your order is right. Too bad they do not read it. If you order ANYTHING a little different than their own standard menu, CHECK your order before you pull away from the delivery window. It is a real pain to get five miles down the road and find out they gave you a standard item and not what you ordered. Pulling into this place is fraught with danger. The entrance is at a corner with a stop light. There is a small low curb divider about 4 feet long at the entrance. Hard to see at night and if you go over it, you could definitely do some damage to your car. You have to deal with traffic pulling into the same entrance to get to a gas station next door. The entire lot is poorly marked and you have vehicles coming from the gas station headed out, vehicles coming from the McDs headed to the east, etc. Plus traffic coming straight across the intersection from the south. Pay close attention as the parking lot sometimes look like everyone is getting ready for a demolition derby. (They did improve the situation by putting an optional right turn only lane from the drive through onto Winnemucca Blvd going west. That really helps escape the rest of the parking lot and traffic light.) Typical McDonalds with an inside play area so the kids can burn off some steam. We came up to the drive through, ordered our food, when we picked up our food we didn't get it all. We went back through the drive through because the inside is closed. When we looked through our food, 3 of the items were wrong. In return the person gave us extra hash browns, instead of getting our order right. We are disappointed with this McDonalds. Great stop for our family when driving long distance so the kids can get energy out and stretch the legs. Play center room was a bit dirty for 8am. I was very surprised to find no changing table! There is a playground but no changing table in the bathrooms??! They should get those as most places accommodate for those even in the men's restrooms now. If I could give this "restaurant" a zero star review I would. To begin, the wait time was atrocious, I understand they were busy but I've never waited 20+ minutes in a McDonald's drive through line with only about 7-8 cars in front of us. Ordering went okay, they had the wrong item on the screen and had turned off their mic so we couldn't fix it there, which wasn't a huge issue, but still somewhat annoying. Then we got to the 1st window where you pay, the guy working the window didn't have the correct order for us and a manager had to come over and help him, we FINALLY got our order fixed (after another person had to come over and help as well). Then we get to the 2nd window to pick up the food, we're handed a drink, the girl gave us a large Dr. Pepper when we had ordered a medium, not a big deal right? Wrong, even though they're the same price and we didn't mind getting a larger size the girl insisted we return it to her. Now in case you didn't know, our country is in the middle of a global pandemic, which means trying to limit germ contact and social distance as much as possible to prevent the spread of germs/disease. By the time she had realized she had given us the wrong size, two people in our car had already touched it and it had been placed into a cup holder, one would think it would not be very sanitary to return to the inside of the "restaurant" at that point but here we are. She was very argumentative about having the drink returned even when we explained it probably wasn't the most sanitary idea, however, the drink was returned because we were done arguing and wanted to continue driving. Now for the food, it was disgusting. We ordered chicken McNuggets, two bacon McDouble's, and two medium fries. The McNuggets were cold, the fries were old and stale, slightly warm, and the bacon McDoubles were very inconsistent. One burger was burnt and the bun was soggy, the other burger was okay but the cheese looked like it had been sitting for a while, the bun was stale and hard, and the pickles were unsightly. Trust me when I say you don't want to stop here, either keep driving or find another place to stop. You'll thank me later. read more

You idiot, if you're testing a kiosk every transaction needs to be followed by a survey. 2. 3 people finished their orders from the counter in the time it took my family to finish ordering. Yes, I am actually going to review a McDonalds. Think just how bad this McDonalds must be for me to bother writing this. I have stopped here twice since they finished the remodel. The first time they had someone helping people use the self order kiosks but had no one manning the registers. They also had no signage indicating the registers weren't being manned. After standing and waiting with not a single employee taking notice of me, I had to stop a table server and request my order be taken. Slow does not begin to describe this McDs. I thought they we slow last time, well today it took 20 minutes to get my order. The number of people eating there did not justify this long wait. When my food was finally ready I was missing one of my two cheeseburgers. Now how hard is it to count to two? Water from the soda machine tastes off. I couldn't even drink it. Everyone is unknowingly drinking that foul water in their sodas. Both times I visited the buns were stale. The only thing up to McDs standards at this location were the fries. I'm sure when you come upon this McD you are likely hungry in the midst of a long drive. My advice...keep on driving down the road to Taco Bell. read more

There is a reason you are seeing all horrible reviews on Yelp, because this place is Horrible! Not Clean, Rude staff, Slow Service, Cold Food... the list goes on. One of the most obnoxious things is you see signs hanging everywhere with their store managers face on it saying "Did we make you smile"... well, you were one of the problems with this place as you were there when I was and the place was still a joke. There are plenty of other fast food places less than a mile away, go somewhere ELSE and hopefully this place will eventually go out of business for a food place that actually cares about its customer base. One last thought, if you do have to go here (hopefully you don't) and you plan on eating inside, bring some earphones as the loud slamming bathroom door, obnoxious loudspeaking calling out orders, etc mean this place is obnoxious to be inside at best. NO AC INSIDE!! It's not even 9am and this place is roasting inside, there are cars lined up around the drive thru, several families in line for service on a Sunday and ONE PERSON working the counter. I got here early around 7am, and decided to go indoors to order (I've found it sometimes faster than the drive through), but that was a mistake. They only had one person taking orders inside, and two working the drive through. There was a huge and very slow moving line inside the restaurant: kids on their way to school, each ordering a bunch of things individually: one young man got 5 fruit filled pies? There are other places to get togo food in Winnemuca, so you may want to consider it. I travel between Salt Lake and SF bay area twice a month. I used to stop and eat here regularly as it is right off the freeway. Everytime I eat here, I only eat half the meal before throwing it out. I would give no starts if Yelp would let me. On a late dinner stop when driving across country I learned to go anywhere but this McDonalds to eat. After waiting 15min from the time I ordered to pulling up to the window, I was told to park and wait longer for chicken. After I waited another 10min parked, I finally went inside to find out what was happening with my order. I was then told that I would have to wait until the manger was done taking a large order for 20 men who came into together before I could be helped. When I said I couldn't wait and asked for my money back, she made me wait to she was done anyway and then said I needed to go get my card I used from the car to get a refund. That it was "the law." After retrieving my card from the car, I was told I would need to give it to someone else who would take it around back to the drive through window terminal to do the refund, when I was uncomfortable with having my card taken away from where I could see it, I was told it was the only way and go wait in the drive through line again if I was not ok with having someone walk away with my credit card. The whole time this was going on I said many times that I just wanted my food so I could go and feed my children, the manager said "you will get your food, but you asked for a refund." After waiting another 20min to get to the window for my refund in the drive through line outside, the manger did my refund and shut the window to end the transaction with me. No food and an hour later, I went to Berger King and feed my kids. During this crazy course of events I asked for the district manager's number and was told to find it myself on the wall over there with a point. I have to say that I will never walk into that or any McDonalds again, as I didn't like how angry all this made me, and how by the end or should I say middle, the frustration this brought out the worst in me and no food is worth this. read more

I honestly do not know why this place has gotten such bad reviews, for a McDonald's I think it's GREAT. My husband, two kids, and I recently (Oct. 2013) stopped by twice on a trip from northern California to Utah (once on the way there for breakfast, once coming back for a late lunch). When we went for breakfast the line for the drive-thru looked pretty long, but we were planning to go inside anyway so the kids could play. There was pretty much no line inside, husband had no issues ordering and was able to use a coupon without any problems. Our kids (3 1/2 and 1 1/2) had an awesome time playing! The play area is really great for older kids as well as younger ones with how it is set up. When we got the food it tasted hot and freshly made, no complaints there. Late lunch on the way back, once again, not crowded and the food and service was fine. We also had no issue with the cleanliness of the restaurant, it was actually better kept up then other McDonald's I've been to! read more

I am writing this for my daughter who is traveling with her 2 little boys, under 2 years of age. She was extremely disappointed that when she went to change the boys' diapers, THERE WAS NO CHANGING TABLE IN THE BATHROOM. How can a McDonalds, with a PLAY AREA, not have a changing table????? This is a rare McDonalds with some potential. The food was on the better side of typical -- still not great. I still feel guilty letting my kids eat here. The play area is nice, but they really need to clean the tables by it more regularly.
