I've been with this dentist for several years. I decided months ago that I was going to be finding another dentist, because my experience with them has been terrible this year. However, the crown that was put on at MDS less than six months ago fell out and it was suggested that I go back to let them fix it to avoid paying out of pocket. I should have just paid the money. The appointment was made for noon. Apparently the doctor takes his lunch at noon. Has anybody told the people who set appointments? Why are appointments being made for when the doctor is not in the building? Why is the doctor not checking his schedule before leaving to see if he has a patient waiting? After the hygienist/assisstant did as much as she could do without the doctor present, she let the doctor know I was waiting. He was already out at lunch, but she said he'd be back within 10 minutes. I sat there for another hour and a half before he came strolling in, no care in the world for the fact that I had been waiting for a total of two hours at that point. Just a "well I take lunch at noon" as if it was MY FAULT the appointment was scheduled at that time. Not only that, while I was waiting nobody came in to see how I was doing or provide an update. It's almost as if I was forgotten about. I've never had a GREAT experience here, but they've been okay enough and the studio is close to my house. The hoops I've jumped through this year, though, had definitely already turned me off completely. Today's experience just reified my decision to never come back. If this crown falls off again, I'll just pay out of my pocket to get it fixed this time (and maybe then I won't have anymore issues with it). read more

Warning don't go to this dentistry. I had three appointments over a 7 months period. They canceled all three of them while I was standing in the office at the time I was to be seen didn't let me know ahead of time so I lost my time and money getting off work and gas getting there ON TIME for all 3 appointments, to be canceled, with me standing in their office without any warning, no call no nothing just cancel without any thought of me and what it took for me to get off work and be there on time. They make patients pay a fee when they don't show up for their appointments. Maybe it's time we start making people like them. Pay us for them wasting our time. read more

First off I'd like to say that the workers here have been great compared to the meat grinder location off of Jonesboro. Sadly , I am facing having to find a new location due to the fact of having multiple appointments canceled and then told basically I had to keep getting appointments 3 months ahead making it 8 months since my last appointment. You are but a number and not a customer to them. You are not a priority as they have sufficient cattle to slaughter coming in right behind you. read more

I originally went to this dental office back in May because of my bridge being broken on my upper teeth. I ended up needed another root canal. After having that I had an appointment to get my bridge done in May, 2025 and was quoted over $6,000 dollars and was told I'd have to pay that out of pocket because more and likely my insurance would not cover any of this. I insisted they reach out my to provider. Dental Studio bever Coorporated with my insurance company by sending they then x-rays they needed to approve the claim. The financial coordinator was passive aggressive, and the receptionist apparently lied on my when I called questioning the status of my appointment because I received a letter in the mail from UPS explaining to me that they refuse to service me due to disruptive behavior. After leading me on for over two months and having inadequate unprofessional staff that makes the business decisions for the doctors practice this is what they did. I have good insurance but it's something going on with this practice that's not honest but in GODS Word you shall Reap what you Sow. Unjust profits no man in the eye sight of GOD. I do not recommend this office. I have to leave atleast one star. read more

Listen to the reviews. This dental studio is so hard to get ahold of and they over charged me and will not refund me after paying Hundreds of dollars within one visit. It's impossible to talk to someone from the office. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time and money trying to get care from them. read more

Customer service is horrible!!! The person who answered the phone which I think her name was Cynthia but she refused to give it to me again or allow me to speak to the manager in fact after performing for the people in the office she hung up after hitting the phone on the desk. My ears are still ringing. She accused me of yelling which I didn't and she yelled at me saying we're not going to do this today. I'm still in disbelief because I called for an emergency appointment and this what I got at her mercy. The manager hasn't called back after calling 2 days. The phone call is recorded so it should not be a problem to find out the aggressor. read more

So frustrated with McDonough Dental Studio on Hwy 20/81. I have been a patient at McDonough Dental on Jonesboro Rd for many years. However, their schedule was so booked that they suggested I try McDonough Dental Studio on Hwy 20/81. I was able to get scheduled and went in for deep cleaning. My teeth were x-rayed and the dentist came in to explain that I needed a medical clearance letter. After over an hour of sitting and waiting, I left the office having no cleaning done. I secured the clearance and scheduled another appointment. I had one side cleaned and was told by my hygienist that I would be contacted to schedule my next appointment something the following week. Well, according to their records, they called twice and left messages. I never received a message and I have no missed calls from them in my phone log. I tried calling to make an appointment and what a mess. Calls go to a call center. They will not give you a number directly to the office. That is so frustrating because each time you call, you have to explain your situation all over again. All calls are routed to a call center. The center is loud and representatives answer the phone as if they would rather be doing something else. One two separate occasions, the call center representatives transferred me to the Hwy 20/81 location so I could leave a message. I left messages both times i called and no one returned my call. Today, I called again and I specifically asked to speak to McDonough Dentistry Studio on Hwy 20/81 only to be transferred to Lisa at McDonough Dental on Jonesboro Rd. After waiting on hold for 4 minutes, Lisa attempted to schedule my next appointment. To my surprise, she could not schedule me until November and when I asked to be scheduled with any hygienist who could see me earlier, I was told I could not see another hygienist. WHAT! I was unable to switch hygienist and then she offered to leave a message for a treatment coordinator to call me back to only tell me the same thing! Unbelievable. The ONLY reason I'm hanging on is 1) I met and like the dentist at the 20/81 location; 2) this late in the year, I want this service completed before December 30. I'm not pleases with the customer service, lack of communication, lack of professionalism from McDonough Dental Studio. When I was being seen at the Jonesboro location, my only concern was finding parking! read more

I have been going here for over a year and should have posted this a long time ago. Grace is a goddess.This place is AWESOME!!!! The staff is fantastic!!! They are kind and knowledgeable. The dentist Dr.Daniel is amazing. He listens to his patients and cares about their concerns but he is going to do what is best for you. Before coming here I was pretty much like everybody else trying to avoid the dentist at all costs but after coming here and being overwhelmed by the sheer kindness I don't dread coming to the dentist office. If you are in need of having work done or just need a checkup to make sure your teeth are on the right track then by all means McDonough Dental is for you. YOU DONT HAVE TO BE AFRAID ANYMORE. read more

The reviews are valid. They overcharged me and after my insurance called to fix it, they kept the difference. Appointments are hard to get and insanely long lobby wait time. However, the dentist and my hygienist did a good job. No complaints there, three stars for them . It's just getting through the front line. read more

It only did they call, text and email me more than a significant other once I actually got to the appointment they told me they were out of network!! Seriously? Also being met with a framed quote from Revelations (!) over the head of the overly apologetic and sweet receptionist who assured me the person clearly screaming in pain coming from the back had been offered pain meds.... At first glance the office was nice and clean the front desk staff were friendly. The promptness of service was timely. I came in the office to get a wisdom tooth extracted, when I got seated in the chair everything seemed fine. Dr. Cornelius H. Daniel, SR proceeded to numb the area around my wisdom with what I assume was Novocain. He poked the tooth a few times and asked me if I could feel anything, I replied not really so he began to proceed with the extraction. As he was digging into or around my tooth I told him I felt pain. He stopped for a second then proceeded to break my tooth. When it broke I felt extreme pain and discomfort and nearly jumped out of the chair. He giggled and said let him add more Novocain. When he attempted to insert the needle into my gums I felt the same pain but even worse, which caused me to pull away. He giggled again and asked if I wanted him to continue. At that point my face was trembling in excruciating pain and tears were coming from my eyes, so I asked to be put to sleep. Because they do not perform that procedure in this office he told me I had to reschedule at another location. They sent me to the waiting for about 20 min, while in shaking in pain the whole time, then into the office to reschedule. After I was scheduled for an appointment nearly 2 weeks away, he prescribed me a 4 day supply of pain medication. Fast forward 4 days later when the medication ran out I called the office and was told that they would call me back, so when I got off of work I went straight to the office because they were about to close for the day. I spoke with Dr. Cornelius H. Daniel, SR and asked for a refill of the prescription, he told me because the medication I was prescribed had narcotics in it that he couldn't prescribe any more and I would have to suffer until my appointment. Now I'm walking around with a broken tooth, nerves exposed and ibuprofen isn't helping. read more
