On December 26, I paid a $125 estimate fee and was quoted $4,500 to replace a pump and tank and redo plumbing. I was told the $125 would be credited if we moved forward. When the work was done, they determined the tank did not need to be replaced, yet I was still charged the full $4,500 and the estimate fee was not deducted. Shortly after installation, the pump was not functioning properly. When I asked them to return to fix it, they attempted to sell me a whole-house filtration system instead of addressing the issue. I declined. They later blamed our problems on an issue with the well and claimed they could not fix it. I hired a well contractor who resolved the problem in 30 minutes without touching the well, leading me to believe there was never an issue with the well. I requested an itemized invoice, which did not align with the work performed. Based on labor and materials, the job appears significantly overpriced (almost double). I formally requested a partial refund on January 12 and followed up multiple times, most recently on February 6, and have received no response. I am incredibly disappointed with the lack of response and professionalism. I've also since been informed that they were never even licensed to have done the work they performed. I am sharing my experience in hopes that it can save someone else the headache and loss of money.

I've had other plumbers come fix it, but the problem keeps coming back. I saw good reviews for Pipe-Line and decided to give them a try (also, my past plumber was out of town). Mark arrived the same day on time (I hope I remembered his name correctly) and did an awesome job! I'm not a plumbing expert of course, but, I've hired many and seen what they do. I can say Mark not only seemed way more knowledgeable than past plumbers I've worked with, but, also was very helpful, and, put up with me asking a lot of questions! Initially I had an overflowing toilet in the powder room which was gushing out water which was…read moregoing downstairs through the ceiling below. I called out Sherman Mechanical to diagnosis and repair. It turned out that it was a much bigger problem than I thought. The Septic Line pipes outside were broken in two spots. With the use of a special camera they were able to show me pictures of the broken pipes. I was quoted a fair price by Kevin Christensen so they completed the repairs on a timely basis. They were extremely good and careful in making sure that the damage during the excavation which included removing cement and digging up a very large part of the yard in that area was as minimal as possible. So I was very pleased and paid the billing. But that is not the best of what Sherman did for me. Just recently in reviewing my insurance policy I realized that I had coverage in my policy for any Septic Field repairs. I was not aware of that at the time the job was completed. So I called my insurance co. and asked if I could still make a claim. Fortunately I could open up a claim but I needed documentation and pictures etc. So one and a half years after the job was completed I reached out to Mr Kevin Christensen at Sherman Mechanical to ask him if he had any records and photos of the previous job. He had all of the records, payment receipts, and photos which gave me exactly the documentation that I needed. The insurance co. made payment on the claim today. Thank You Kevin.

For one there are a lot of bad plumbers - notably the other people I used who were not only terrible but actually threatened me and tried to get paid for doing a horrible job. Where ex stink both knows their stuff, is fairly honest and what they intend to do, and actually deliver on it. I actually had a situation after hours where they were very straightforward and recommended me things to resolve the situation so that they would not have to come out for the dispatch. To me, that represents ethics and integrity in business. They absolutely could have shut up a dispatch and come out to make extra money but instead the perspective was: here's the fix for you here's what I recommend you do call me back if that doesn't work. These are the kinds of people I will call back to do more work. This Is the kind of service that is deserving of work. Not random review farms which we know a ton of businesses do so that they have a good rating on yelp. Their prices are also fair, and they actually do fix problems and not just put a Band-Aid over it. 5 stars. Would not recommend this company, I've been a customer for 3 weeks which is how long their work…read morelasts. They rodded our main line when we had water coming up from our basement drain and less than a month later we have water coming up again. I called to have them come back out and they wanted to charge full price again. The last time we had the main line rodded we used a different company, and it lasted over a year. This place either has shoddy equipment or does half the job so they can charge you for a full service call later that same month.
