I hadn't been to McFaddens in ages, tho we used to go often enough that they'd hand me my drink as soon as I got to the bar. Sadly, they changed their burgers (previously good) to smashburgers. I'm not a fan of those, so I don't know how theirs compare. I got a wrap and tho the chips weren't as good as before, the chicken in my grilled chicken wrap was perfectly prepared & very tender. The egg rolls were also delicious! Service wasn't great, even before they got crowded, but it was good enough. I was surprised that tho they remodeled some the floor is still the same horrible sticky floor that reminds me of a dive bar or gray party. They also have a bathroom attendant which I (& my allergies) hate. I'm allergic to perfumes and it was horrible. They did allow children in the dining area, which was a surprise and worked well for our group. I'm not sure if this policy (not carding at the door) is in place for games or even all concerts, so if you're dining with children before a game or show, I'd recommend calling to ask. The location can't be beaten when going to events at PNC Park. Still a very good option.

I was scared by the bad reviews but our experience here was amazing! We stopped in about an hour and a half before a pirates game and although it was busy we were seated within 10 min (when everywhere else around was completely packed). Service was quick and friendly and OMG... the classic loaded Irish "nachos" (cheese fries) were to die for!!! There was so much delicious cheese sauce and queso and I added some extra buffalo sauce that really set it off. Would definitely come eat here before a game again.

Hello NateNation let's start this out by saying it is a Steelers home game day but this is also my second d time here and both times WAY understaffed so let's start there ... with that I mind the food slappppps -- the Irish nachos just aren't cooked but I really enjoyed them me lady was kinda impartial... Now the wings man butter me up and call me a shrimp dang those wings are tastey crunchy large bbq ugh yum so good - the other shining star, the Frieda holy freaking crap the fries - you know the fires are good when me lady doesn't need ketchup, have you ever heard that in your born life?! No ketchup for fries yes yes yes that is how good these fries our holy Mac and cheese wow. Me lady also got the beef brisket... it was beef brisket It was just that nothing special. Come here for the fires, the wings and the fricken PITTSVUEGH STILLERS!!! Wings fries Stillers baby long live mcfaddans I will be back.

Just across the street from PNC Park. A big Steelers fan hangout. Lots of tvs, a little loud and our food was prepared quickly and very tasty.

I'd like to call it Fatty McFatterson.

Let's pause for a moment and be thankful for Groupon. Okay. For $13 you get $30 of food, or beer, according to our bartender. Great! Any time I can save some money, it's a good day. I ordered the potato pancakes, and the McFaddy MacDaddy. Josh got the 24/7 burger. So, it is positively obvious that they have one cook, with access to a microwave and a deep fryer. Everything flew out of the kitchen in less than 10 minutes. The pancakes were misleading in the menu, making it seem like they were going to be somewhat homemade, or an amazing version that you wouldn't be able to tell that a big truck brought in a month ago. I digress. They were sad little pucks. But, salted and served with creole seasoning mixed with sour cream, they kind of redeemed themselves. Burgers. I love burgers. But these only came over cooked, and mine, with mac and cheese was just plain pasta with a slice of cheese plopped on top of it. The bacon was off the hook, though. Josh's burger was all kind of heart disease friendly. Egg, bacon, meat, and syrup. He liked it. But he likes everything. Service is amazing. They paid attention to us all evening, even though we weren't boozing like the rest of the crowd. So, it's probably a better place to drink, than eat. Happy Eating!

This is not a sports bar as they can only show one game on ALL of their TVs. And out of several beers. Real disappointing.

Horribly over priced everything. They know they have a captive audience and take advantage of it.

Used to be my favorite bar. Went there multiple times when I lived in Oakland for college and had a blast, tonight had the worst bar experience of my young adult life. Booked a bday party for $100 and got kicked out 30 min into the party because my…

Cute little restaurant/bar with a Scottish food menu. Some of the items are meant for sharing, like…read morethe Scotch eggs and toast with whipped cheese, while others are single servings, like the salads and bangers and mash. I made a light summer meal of the house salad and half order of one Scotch egg, although I found the two creamy dressings to be too much. The cocktail list is relatively long and very tempting, but we got (and enjoyed) 3 sazeracs. Service was slow, but we didn't mind, because we had a lot to catch up on, and football was on the telly. Next to no parking in their private lot. Didn't try the restrooms. P.s. use the lower door off the patio to enter/exit.

Stone walls. Exposed wood and burlap ceiling. - Honey whipped goat cheese: this is good. Warm piece of crispy baguette. The tomato confit side goes well with it. - The scotch eggs are fantastic. Crispy outside, nice eggs within. Excellent with a little bit of Frank's. The dijonaise with it works well, gives almost a deviled egg vibe. - The fish and chips sandwich is fantastic. Large portion: Two of us could have split it and still walked away full. Battered. This one is cooked perfectly. The sandwich sandwich roll is crippled and lovely. The tartar sauce is subtle and dead-on. This is exactly what I want from a fish sandwich. - The french fries that came with the fish and chips are nicely cooked, medium cut. Crispy potatoey and perfect. These are crowdpleasers - everyone at our table liked them. Could possibly be worth a trip in and of themselves.
