Had an oil change with a coupon. When I received the bill the total cost was about 65% higher than the coupon price. I could not read, understand the statement and the extra charges because they used regular prices on the statement and then they say they deduct the coupon at the end. They acted like it was no big deal and they understood to bill when I asked for explanation for but I didn't understand anything other than they stuck me with this and that to jack up the price. $34.99 coupon, walked out with a $58 bill.

Saturday March 21, 2020 - March 25, 2020 I had been thinking about buying a new car for a while. Specifically a Toyota Camry LE. I went by McGeorge Toyota to get an appraisal on my Kia. Explained pretty clear what my needs were ie: what I would accept for my trade in, how much I needed my car payment to be etc... The salesman said he could probably get me in a Corolla for what I want and initially I was open to that. Then I thought and said "I have a 15 year old grandson who is 6'2 285lbs so I think the Camry would suit me better. A Little time went by and I just suggested that he call me when they finished with my appraisal because I had other things to do. I told the sales person we would go from there once I knew how much I would get for my car. The salesman said, "are you going to pick up your big ass grandson?" Completely out of line! We hadn't spent more than 30 minutes together so why he thought that was appropriate I have no idea. A few texts went back and forth and they were not good either. He was pretty much like, are you going to buy the car or not. Needless to say I wasn't going to give him a dime of my money. Plus, he couldn't or wouldn't answer any of my questions and I don't do blind business. I was so taken back by this brief but horrible experience I called the General Manager Bob Farlow. I Left a message on his voicemail to please give me a call the following day because this day was almost over and I needed to go to work. Towards the end of the next day I hadn't heard from Mr. Farlow so I called again and left another message. I then get a phone call from the finance manager Gregory George. Mr. George wasn't any better than the salesman, who I unfortunately don't even remember his name. When I mentioned I really wanted to speak to Mr. Farlow to express my feelings about my experience and the unprofessionalism of his salesman. He said Mr. Farlow was in meetings and I could talk to him. I said fine. I told him about the comment the salesman made about "my big ass grandson" and he pretty much made an excuse saying he didn't hear him say anything and if he did he would've gotten up and said something. He also said he isn't saying the salesman didn't say that, he's just saying if he heard it he would've said something. To me he was making excuses and justifying it. I said "ok fine, that's not all. Let me tell you what he texted me, hold on I'm looking now." He pretty much cut me off and it was evident and he didn't want to hear what I had to say and I said such. But he insisted that if I wanted to talk about it he would listen. However, it was irrelevant and we should just move forward. These are not his exact words but this is pretty much how it went. So out of curiosity I'll let him explain what was going on and he said he could get my APR at five point something. I told him I needed to look at my insurance and a couple other things and I would get back to him. Absolutely no intention of getting back to him. The next day I received a text from the salesman apologizing. My recommendation would be for no one to go to McGeorge Toyota and be treated in such ways that a person should not have to deal with it. Especially when one is spending thousands of dollars. See my review on Haley Toyota on Midlothian.

2nd ETA - When Shane saw my updated reviews, he felt the need to text me at 6:30 am not once, but three times. Completely unprofessional and also uncalled for, especially with the smiling and laughing emojis. Please do yourself a favor and avoid working with Shane as he is not only unprofessional, but very childish. Had he not ignored me when I text with a simple follow up question, I would not have felt the need to change his review. I will be reaching out to a sales manager to discuss the inappropriate behavior on Monday. ETA - Shane was great when it comes to buying a car from him, but don't expect answers to any questions you may have after the fact. He tells you please reach out if you need anything and ignores you until his calendar tells him to text you again. Really unfortunate, but to be expected from someone who wants to sell you things I guess. Worried only about his commission and not his customers. I worked with Shane and had a wonderful experience! He worked hard to make this an easy process from beginning to end. He was prompt about answering my questions prior to coming in and had vehicles I was interested in ready and waiting for test drive. He made sure to give me a good trade in value for my vehicle and helped accommodate my budget for my new vehicle. Shane was the true definition of a professional and worked to get me into the car I really loved! Even with a mask on, you could tell he was smiling. I love my new car and certainly recommend McGeorge! Ask for Shane!

This is the worst dealership I have ever visited. Regardless of what you ask, you always feel like a burden to them. Would never come here.

I had no where else to write what occurred today and this needs to be shared!! I am so very angry right now. Ordered a part (alternator) for our only vehicle from their site at 12:00 noon on 1/3/22 for next day delivery. Mind you, the item is housed per their website less than 15 miles away from us (in Mechanicsville). I placed a call to the customer service dept and was told the "hub" closed at 5pm yesterday due to weather. Was told the item now wouldn't be delivered until 1/5. I stated this is unacceptable. I ordered at 12 noon. If fed ex picks up at 9 pm central time, why wasn't the item put out by auto zone so it could be taken by fed ex for next day delivery as promised?? What'd I get?? Apologies. That's it. Well my son has COVID, high fever and this is our only vehicle. No way to get to the grocery store and I wouldn't want anyone to take me as I've been in the house with him. I depended on getting that item AS PROMISED. I even said it's less than 15 miles from me. Suggested perhaps they could deliver it to me as it's fairly close. You'd have thought I suggested they give me a million dollars. Smart ass supervisor. Advance, NAPA, or O'Reilly's will get my business from now on. I don't care if it's more expensive. No offers of any resolution. Nothing. Just a smart ass. What are apologies if I have nothing to eat in my home and my child is sick with a deadly virus???

But on the evening of March 22, 2025 I was the recipient of exceptional, very exceptional service. Lazy Saturday it was until my teenager made the distress call- car not starting. Drove to her location and jump started her car then drove straight to Advanced Auto - short pump. Exceptional patient understanding service is what I received as I explained the situation. Team member was responsive enough to provide me with a much better battery than the.one.in.the vehicle. And the AA team was just beginning. I was in for a real treat when Mr Carroll wheeled out his tool cart and got to the new battery installation. I have been on several ends of auto personnel treatment- mostly different when i am with a 2024 year vehicle than with an older vehicle. As a matter of fact, in another automobile workshop I was told, boldfaced and all, that nothing could be done for my older vehicle. A statement I would file away as I, carefully, stayed clear of that shop - with the newer vehicles and same older vehicle they'd written off. 7years after that remark, the vehicle is still running okay. So Mr Carroll installed this battery meticulously. Not just dumping it in but carefully tightening the terminals, ensuring snug fitting, applying anti-corrosives and yes wait for it...ensuring that there was no red battery light on the dashboard after installation. Thank you team AA short pump. Thank you for being consumate professionals. This evening, by your unplanned actions, I have passed the AA baton to my teenage daughter. You have a new customer.

I was an hour and a half from home and I called a few local parts stores. The people at the Car Quest on West Broad Street in Short Pump came to my car, checked to see what parts were needed, went back to the store, and came back with the part. Alan (spelling?) went out of his way to help me, by putting the part on the car for me and explaining what he did and why. This was not something that the company normally does, to my knowledge, but it was so kind. It was myself and two other young ladies (daughter and granddaughter), we were in a though situation being so far from home, but Alan and the people of Car Quest really did a good deed and went out of their way to help! I offered to pay him for fixing it right there, but he refused to take any money and I was only charged for the part.
