I'll keep it simple. I'm a Ford guy but they have been the Recall Kings now for several years, so I decided to give the Dodge Ram truck a chance. Biggest vehicle purchase mistake I have ever made! Within the first 30 days the truck had a dead battery that Made me have to call roadside assistance. An hour later and after a jump the truck started but none of the electronics worked. It's in the shop for the repairs. As soon as I get it back, I'm trading it in. The dealership offered me nothing and had a sorry about your luck attitude. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else. Had an APPOINTMENT set one week prior for Tuesday AM. Dropped my jeep off the night before - I was the first drop off. Tuesday- no one has looked at it yet, "we were busy". After I pushed back saying I had made an appointment and this was unacceptable, they offered me a rental (I had to put down a $50 deposit). Wednesday- no one has looked at it, we were busy. THURSDAY- NO ONE HAS LOOKED AT IT WE WERE BUSY. Friday- I left a VM for Service Mgr Mike R. Waiting for a return call. This is insane and unbelievably unprofessional. I can only assume they have no interest in looking at my car since it is under warranty. Terrible service. I dont even know where to start. The service department hardly ever answers the phone. Other than tire rotations and oil changes they have yet to solve problems I'm having with a three year old vehicle. My truck has been in their shop for over a week now for a cooling hose for the EGR . Seems to be a common problem on Rams according to a Google search. Completely incompetent. I took my 2011 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited in for a simple diagnostic test to determine whether my sway bar was causing a computer issue or if my transmission needed to be replaced, based on issues I am experiencing driving it as well as my own mechanic's advice. This was something my own mechanic didn't have the Jeep computer diagnostic capabilities to assess (something only a Jeep service center could provide). I was extremely clear about what issue I needed diagnosed (went into much further detail than what I'm summarizing here). I brought in my Jeep before 8am the morning of my appointment to ensure it would get diagnosed, as the center requested. Since this is a computer-based diagnostic test, it should not have taken a competent mechanic long to assess. Instead, my Jeep had to be held overnight as they were caught up in a bigger project. Understandable, but sad that they couldn't prioritize a simple 30 minute task with my Jeep and complete that first. All this only to receive a call from them to tell me something I alreeeeeaaaaady flucking knew about why my check engine light was on. And that their mechanic "drove around the Jeep up to 40 mph and could not feel any issues with the transmission." Like no sh*t Sherlock. That's not what I needed you to do. After hearing this I explained to them again exactly what I needed diagnosed, but they refused to do any further assessments and kept repeating "this is all our mechanic found." I ended up wasting two weeks of my time waiting on the appointment, $169 in diagnostic costs, gas costs driving to and from the center plus wasting my energy explaining the issue over the phone multiple times. As an aside, anytime I needed to contact the service center it took several calls to get ahold of them. There was a person behind every desk when I walked in in-person, so I don't know if they all have phone shyness or sometimes forget how to pick up a phone with their hands. To give credit where credit is due, one of the ladies (not Jennifer) was very friendly and helpful when scheduling the appointment and recording the issue I needed diagnosed. Not that that even mattered since they chose to ignore it. The only service you will get here is incompetent, slow, lazy and ignorant. They should change their name from the service center to scam center. read more

I've purchased 2 vehicles over the last 10 years at this dealership. I found the sales person I worked with both times, Steve Collins, to be very honest. My 2 stars is due to the service department. I moved to a State that doesn't require State Inspections in 2020/21. I recently moved back to Richmond took my Jeep to Pearson to get a VA state inspection and a few minor repairs. They called and said my inspection failed because of custom vendors on the Jeep. Pearson passed my Jeep in 2019 and 2020 with the same lift, tires and fenders. I asked what my options were and they didn't have any solutions. So I drove off the lot with a "REJECTED" sticker on my vehicle. I called them that afternoon to get more clarity on the items that they failed so I could pass it along to another mechanic. Never received a call back. They also did not address some of the repairs I'd asked them to address. I took the Jeep to another mechanic who made those repairs and received an approved State inspection. They also said the fenders are legal in all 50 states. I probably would've bought another vehicle from Pearson but I will never give them my business again. read more

There were still wires hanging down that had not been reconnected and now the tail light fuse keeps blowing. I dropped my car off around 7:50 and quite literally less than 30 minutes later I started receiving emails saying my Sirius XM has started for the exact make and model of my car, my VIN, AND my plate. I called them because that is not okay and the lady said "right I highly doubt that." Girl...I don't give a fuck what you doubt because it happened which is why I have an issue bffr. When we arrived we were hastily greeted by Brandon who handed us off to a nice older gentleman whose name I can't remember. I handed them the keys to my car which we were going to use as a trade in for them to look over while I test drove. We got back to find the had not looked at my car. We sat down and he offered a very low value for my car, which I politely declined stating we had gotten offers of almost 2000$ more. He stated that's what my car is selling for, the higher price, so they have to offer me the lower price do they're not losing money. Having done my research, I know that my year make & model car are sitting on several lots all priced around $23-25000. He came back and said "who gave you the highest and what is there #?". I told him, to which he told his manager. His manager replied in essence trash talking that dealership. Then the salesman asked my husband for his license to get the deal started, to which I said that we didn't even discuss the out the door price. The out the door price he gave us was about $2500 more than the v6 we just test drove at another dealer with all the same options. When I told him that price wouldn't work since we got a lower deal from another dealer and we would like to see where his numbers were. He got up, went to his sales manager to which the sales many replied " well they can just go there and buy from them then" in a snarky nasty tone. What does that do other than make me NOT want to do business with this dealership? If anything, it would make me highly NOT recommend going there. Had you simply said "I'm sorry we can't meet that price" I would've walked out and been ok with that interaction. The entire process was painfully slow, I was talked down to several times saying "oh you're doing a good job" as I attempted to negotiate. I've been coming here for years for service and things are always improving. Service department is doing a good job especially taking care of my fleet vehicle. Even though they can be busy I know they do their best to get me in as soon as they can. I've been to many other shops for simple things and I feel like this place never tries to sell me things I don't need. The waiting area has been renovated so waiting around is comfortable. The times that I had to leave my car, I feel like my car is in good hands. Minor issues are follow ups are sometimes late in the day and they seem to be busy. read more

I walked into the Pearson Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership today to purchase a brand new 2024 Chrysler Pacifica Pinnacle. We were greeted by LaVern who was a delight and showed us all of the options and was walking us through the negotiations. When we reached a particular point in the financial discussions my husband asked to speak to the General Manager, Pete Bilodeau. He entered the room with a condescending and demeaning attitude and proceeded to be so insufferable I left with my 15 year old daughter in tears. He was the most unprofessional sales associate I have ever encountered and to think this is the General Manager! He shouted, rolled his eyes and when I politely got up to leave he acted very aggressive and threw his arms in the air yelling " What did I even do" repeatedly. He then followed us out into the showroom and I was so completely mortified that his behavior was continuing so I left and went to the car with my daughter to remove her from the situation. LaVern followed us to make sure we were ok....she is a complete gem by the way and by no means deserves to work in such a toxic location. My husband said to Pete, "What's sad is you ruined this deal for LaVern" to which Pete's response was "She will get over it!" I cannot even fathom how you have someone like this at the helm of a dealership. I was so ready and excited to purchase the perfect vehicle and Pete's actions have prevented me from being able to do so. I would love someone with more class and character to make this happen not just for my family but your sales associate LaVern. I purchased my Jeep Wrangler April 2022. Let me just tell you the workers won't even greet you, only certain folk. Anyway I drive all the way to Jeep on laburnum when I live 8 mins from this location due to the customer service being horrible. They serviced my seat and scratched my jeep frame and never fixed it, they only repaired the plastic frame they scratched up during service. Today I'm on the line with Sirus guardian trying to get the Jeep app working. They inform me that my jeep Vin was registered under the previous owner named Lauren. I explain to them that I was the first and only owner according to Jeep when I purchased the vehicle. The result of a "previous owner" I am only eligible for 3 months of the Sirius guardian perks due to purchasing a pre owned vehicle instead of the 1yr I would receive purchasing a new vehicle. All my paperwork from jeep says it was a brand new jeep wasn't owned by anyone. I do not recommend this business. The guy in the service department is nasty and talks about other employees in front of the customers. read more

I purchased a slightly used truck for $43,000, After getting it home and a driving it for 2 days I noticed quite a bit of problems that should not have made it through there supposed 124 point inspection. 1. license plate light flickering (would not pass a state inspection) 2. No engine light (bulb missing) 3. Fog light's did not work 4. Rear tire's over inflated by 20 psi each 5. low coolant fluid (light came on, on a slight hill) 6. Only received 1 key (I had to purchase 2nd fob and still trying to have them program it at no cost) 7. When I was told I would be hearing from the manager I was never called back. 8. a fairly loud squeak when you turn (I did not hear during test drive due to conversation- windows up-hardly turned. On there behalf they have asked me to bring in in for service and to look/correct the bulb issues. My MAJOR concern is if they overlooked all these things, I feel they definitely overlooked potentially more serious issue's. They said I'm covered by the Pearson Dodge promise however it seems extremely vague and I still have not been able to see what there 124 point inspection covers and even if it was even done on my vehicle. I bought a vehicle from them on July 31, which was a Sunday and it was raining so I did not notice all the chips in the windshield or some of the deep scratches in the paint where it looks like they remove the previous dealerships sticker from the rear of the vehicle But I did identify during the test drive a couple small problems which I was told were clearly just settings I needed to change. I was finally able to get an appointment just shy of a month later to have it go in for service for numerous issues they had someone test drive it they struggled with some of the issues and then they sent it to The Volkswagen dealership since it was a Volkswagen atlas the Volkswagen dealerships answer to all of the problems was shut that option off. If you shut the option off it doesn't have this problem so I have been trying to contact someone and making calls every couple of days only to find more problems as time goes on, the lane assist is so aggressive it actually steers you out of the lane. If you hook a trailer up to the vehicle which is equipped with a tow hitch, it shuts off all of the safety functions and you then have to turn them back on once you have disconnected the trailer Which somebody might say of course that's going to happen but it doesn't happen in Mercedes. It doesn't happen in Ford it doesn't happen in Toyota other vehicles I've had with trailer hitches that still have Blindspot warnings etc. now I've been pulled over twice thinking my tail light was cracked and it's not. It's the blinker bulb on the right side that never actually turns off while the vehicle is running so because the blinker is yellow And the bulb is very dim. It looks like a crack in the red tail light but it's not. I just want them to take this vehicle back and refund my money. I've been asking since before I had it for 30 days and I would've bought something different but instead the service people are very polite and they don't know what the problem is in the understand why am frustrated And the messages that I've left on the voicemails for the sales department who never answered the phone have gone on answered an unreturned. I'm just now looking on yelp to see that they only have two stars which is an extremely high rating for this company, please save yourself the trouble and don't shop with them Because they won't stand behind the product they sold me a 48,000 mile bumper-to-bumper extended warranty on my vehicle but if I can't get the problems fixed what good is an extended warranty and when I keep finding more problems there's something clearly wrong with the vehicle. I had a Carfax on myself. It was not in any accidents yet the closer I look at it the more they're a little scrapes places in, the more electrical issues that it has Carfax didn't say it was a flood vehicle Volkswagen hasn't said it somethings wrong with this vehicle. I can tell you that the windows are tinted so dark it's not even road legal and they sold it that way now I've got tail lights that aren't working correctly which gets me pulled over which legally allows them to give me a ticket for the tent, and even the police feel bad for me. If you're thinking about buying a vehicle, do not buy from them we bought two cars this year and went to demand for cars. They're selling things that they may not of otherwise sold at all dealerships but we had a small problem with the vehicle that we got it makes George that I thought was gonna be a large problem in the general manager of McGeorge used cars to care of that problem, pitched it and apologized because it should never have made the certification with much more minor issues that I'm having with this vehicle YT extra for options that make the vehicle unsafe fit. The answer is turn them off and you won't have that problem, how about don't pay for the option or have the option in the first place the sale price on the vehicle was more than $10,000 more than the Kelley Blue Book retail value for the vehicle because it was certified and I wouldn't have any problems with it? Do not shop for these people certified means nothing for chips in the windshield, malfunctioning options, electrical issues terrible gas mileage supposed to have a smooth ride rides like it needs an alignment and balance tires. I am shopping around for a new Ram HD and requested a price quote on one of their vehicles I saw online. This story is a complete honest breakdown with everything verifiable via email and their own website. Here's the breakdown: MSRP: $71,420 which includes the destination charge. Below that, it shows the "e-Savings" of $9527, resulting in a sale price of $61,893. They came back and said, "best we can do is $63000 plus TTF. When asked about the discrepancy, it was explained to me that the sale price didn't include the destination charge. Sure enough, in fine print at the bottom of their website it says the sale price doesn't include the destination charge of $1095, but the window sticker shows $1395. Let's do the math: $63000-$61893= $1107. Last time I looked $1107 is not the same as $1095, or even $1395. So is the destination charge arbitrary? Knowing there are certain fees that they cannot waive, I believe this to be nothing more than an attempt to get someone in the door, and then charge them another $1k+ while claiming it is something they have to charge. There are plenty of dealerships that are up front and the price they give you is the total sale price minus the TTF, and will normally spell those out for you. Be careful, however, because some dealerships will charge you a $50 processing fee while others will charge you $500 or even $1000. Based on other reviews I have read about this dealership, and my personal experience, I have no desire to even consider them. read more

I wish there was a negative star option, because this place is the absolute worst. It took 18 days for them to have my Jeep ready after purchasing it, and I was told 7 different days that it would be ready for pick up, which were all lies. When I came to pick it up, the backseat was covered in dog hair and there was trash still in the cup holders. They couldn't even be bothered to wipe the cup holders out! When my fiance said something about the hair and trash, the rep was extremely rude and said "What do you want me to do about it?" After that nightmare, I then drive my Jeep for not even 3 weeks before it begins overheating. Apparently it's been leaking and the radiator needs to be replaced. I called to see if they could do anything to help me out, but instead was told the definition of a warranty 4 times and that I wasn't covered, which I understand, but still thought it was worth a try. The manager, Matt, was very rude and clearly was more interested in telling me what a warranty is than answering my simple of question of "Is there anything you can do to help me here?" Nothing says "manly" like making a 21 yr old girl cry. Doug in service was demeaning and belittling and clearly enjoyed the power trip he had over our daughter without parental support to help. We had a prepaid maintenance plan, purchased with the NEW Jeep at the Chrysler dealer in Florida. Even with the policy number, they claimed it was "after market". It's not, we bought it with the NEW vehicle on the original day of purchase. Whitten in Midlothian, VA, Ferman in Lutz, FL and Tallahassee Jeep in Tallahassee all accepted the maintenance contract with no issues. Interestingly enough when I called the warranty company, even they said "they're too lazy to process the claim". We'll get our money back within 7-10 days, but Pearson will never get their dignity or reputation back. I can see why it was so easy to get in... they're awful all around. read more

Classic bait and switch scenario! Test drove a Jeep narrowing my selection that spanned across three days to finally land on the right one. Sticker on the Jeep was $31,985 but when we got to the table they claimed ticket was $35,370. When called out on the mistake they claimed it was accurate because of the oversized tires and different rims. NOTHING ELSE ADDED. Sales manager Mike sat with me for only a few minutes before I realized that negotiations with him would be like talking to a brick wall. He was not willing to admit their failure to post the upgrades or that it should cost them a dime. Took my Jeep in and mentioned that I had broken the plastic cover on one of the buttons on the console between the front seats. I was told it would be $500 and it would take three weeks to get the parts in. I asked why it was so expensive and they told me they would have to remove the console to replace the plastic cover. I then went to the Parts department and they looked up the part. They got it in in one day and it cost less than $15. I snapped the part in place in less than 5 seconds, thus saving myself $485. read more

Went back the next evening to pick it up..never got a phone call during the day. Upon arrival the service writer said they had been confusion because some guy with the same last name cancelled his appt and he assumed it was mine.. so no work was done..left it overnight again and they same service writer said it would be done by 1000 on Saturday. Went back at 1100 on Saturday and they still had not touched it.. service writer said he was confused again and that he would "do me right" . At this point I just took my unrepaired jeep home and made an appt with Whitten. Very disappointed with Pearson as they have been awesome in the past. read more

Bought a car in December. Payment book never arrived. Tags never arrived. After many calls and emails to the dealer, I ended up calling the bank and working that out myself. I was told the tags were "on the way as we speak" but they never showed. Three days later I got a voicemail from the dealership saying that the reason the tags haven't been shipped is because the car needs an emissions test. They told ME to go get an emissions test and then get the paperwork back to them and then my tags will be sent. This place is a disaster. read more

I love my car, but the quality of service and response when trying to get something corrected (an issue I noticed day 2 of owning the vehicle) has taken 2 months. The feeling of elation I had when purchasing my first new car diminished the day I noticed the issue, was re-invigorated after my sales person said they would fix it without hesitation, and here I've been waiting in disappointment ever since (after having called and texted multiple times). Had an appt for 8am Monday, received a call around 4:08pm they could not get to my van until Tuesday 8am. Defeats the purpose of the appointment. Was not told about $125 diagnosis fee, until we were in the building to pick up the van, this after several conversations with P--. They couldn't find anything wrong, when me and my husband both felt the jerking/stuttering of van upon entering a hill (the transmission had just been replaced-brand new in June after having less than a week) we thought transmission was the continuing problem even though it had no warning lights and apparently no diagnostic codes. It was ironic that they missed telling us the diagnosis fee over the phone but remembered to tell us the fee for the key reprogramming. read more

I was in VA from MI on vacation and had a noise coming from the front end of my JGC. I was desperate to get it fixed because of the long drive I had to make home. I took it to Pearson and had them charge me $115 to tell me that both of my front hubs would need replacing. When I reluctantly agreed to let them take care of that for for nearly $800, I got a call from the service rep(Doug) later telling me that they additionally needed to replace the steering knuckles and CV shafts on both sides because the axle nuts were too rusted to get off(they didn't even try). Total: $2875. I declined and decided to risk the drive home to find other options. I just had a local mechanic look at it, and he determined that it was only the front passenger hub that needed replacing and he had no problem getting the axel nut off. Total bill: $250. He also told me it was absurd that they wanted to replace the steering knuckles, as they were fine(I was skeptical of this from the beginning). If you have money to burn, and want to believe the mechanic lies, by all means head over to Pearson. If you are like me and do not, steer clear of this place. They should be ashamed of themselves. read more
