Do not, do not, do not under any circumstances bring your car to York Collision (now bought out and called McGovern Collision) for repairs. I got into an accident in December 2022. My insurance company estimated that it would take 10-13 business days to repair. It's been over 6 months and they still have my car. Dave, the manager, has repeatedly lied and mislead me and my insurance company about the status of the work. When I was finally told it was ready, the work that was done was so bad that the insurance adjuster (who came with me) told me not to accept the car back. I have lost thousands of dollars in car payments, insurance payments, out of pocket costs for rentals, and loss of income due to lack of transportation because they have kept my car so long. And to top it off, Dave is so rude! They have never apologized or offered any restitution. In fact, when I went in to see the car myself, he sat in his office, never acknowledged I was there, but barked answers the questions I was asking the front desk manager through the open partition. According to Dave, I am lucky. The last car he repaired was in his shop for 14 months. Bring your car literally ANYWHERE else if you get into an accident so that you can avoid the absolute mess that it's been working with them. read more

had my car to fix scratches on pumper and they took one month just to fix minor accident. they over charge and gave them my car with no issues when I picked it up found an issue with my car spoke to their boss and staff there they were so rude and unhelpful. they had me take it into other McGovern to fix the problem they already made in my car and ended up paying over $1000 dollar just for repairs. I don't recommend them to anyone because you'll get your car with issue that never existed. read more

I didn't write a review immediately after my experience with York simply for the fact that every interaction with them gave me anxiety. Anyone who gave this place one star had the exact same experience as me: they're dishonest, unreliable, and truly didn't do anything, but plop more stress onto my situation. Every time a complaint was made, I would be assured that they were the top choice in the area or are #1 for blah blah blah. Hey, actions speak louder than words since all I heard was: I'm lying and am going to keep putting you off, but I'll just pretend like you're being crazy. They had my car for over 4 weeks when I was originally quoted by Dave York for 1.5 weeks. From there, I worked with Paul. Every time I got a call from Paul, it would be to let me know that he'd have to push out my project a bit more. This happened 5 times (I still have every voicemail) but I think the straw that broke the camel's back was when he called to tell me they'd just received the part needed to fix my car. This was about 3 weeks in and I was due to pick up the car that day (he ensured me that it would be ready 4 days before). I asked him how that was possible when the week before, he had called to say that he had already installed the parts and was waiting for it to be painted, which was why he needed more time. He proceeded to sound like a blubbering moron, trying to explain the very clearly obvious lie that just came up. It was then that he offered me a rental. Where was this offer two weeks ago?! Conveniently, the car was completed within two days. No worries though! When I picked up the car, there were new issues that didn't exist when it was first brought in. When brought up, I was brushed off and dismissed until I threatened to call my insurance to complain; suddenly, I was urged to bring it back. Only they had my car for another day, but never resolved my issue. Now, I'm out another $2000 for stuff they should have fixed, but insisted wasn't their problem. Nice! The only time they were responsive was when we complained directly on their website, immediately after getting my car. I knew they received it because I got two phones calls, an hour within one another. In the over four weeks they had my car, they never called me twice in a day to update me on their work, much less to offer an explanation. So nice job on the super transparently shitty customer service! My boyfriend had written the complaint, yet Paul called me and started yelling about how they'd offered me the best service possible and how they were #1 in the area and just more crap I couldn't even bother to absorb. I asked why he didn't call my boyfriend directly to discuss it, but he told me he didn't have my boyfriend's number. Interesting since you've been working with him just as much as me! You're a bad liar, Paul. Ultimately, I pretty much told him I'd call him back because I couldn't bare to do business with him again for another moment. I was willing to take back my car with damages since any extra time talking to this POS would just be a waste. Paul, you're a joke. Learn to do business with integrity and honesty. I don't know why I'm bothering to tell you this since you're gonna blow it off, justify your actions, and then shove your head right back up your ass. Not to worry, though. Since you'll probably never see me again, I suppose it's fine for you to go back to being crooked and lying to customers because you can't manage your time or get your stories straight. I always use this place, and recommend anyone I know to use them as well. Paul is a class act, always kind and nice and always very honest in what he says. His guys do amazing work as well, never had a bad experience and have used them several times through the years. The thing is, they are a Ford dealership, but have done other models I've thrown at them. When I used to have a Mitsubishi Galant, they replaced my bumper, did some paint on it as well, and always throw in a detail job with every job they've done for me, and do a very good job at that. Most recently, my brand new Subaru Crosstrek had some minor paint scrapes on the bumper after I backed into someone, and knew I was paying it on my own and was very reasonably priced, and the paint job looks as good as the day I bought it! They are also very honest, I also own a 2004 Ford F-250 and as people may know with this body style, the fenders like to rust. As the rust kept coming on, I brought it to them and they told me it would be expensive and not worth doing because the rust will come back. I brought it to Macco and the rust did come back within a year, and just containing it now. They don't seem to be out for money, just giving you the best work for your dollar. I will always use this place, they take care of your car as if it is their own, in a timely fashion! read more

They have had my car for 15 days now and I spoke with the manager Paul who informed me that they are just starting the repairs. I went here when my car was in an accident in September and I will ALWAYS use this place! I have Mapfre Commerce Insurance and it's a one stop shop. They come get your car, appraiser comes here, and they fix your car. Paul, Manager of the Collision Center called me every couple days with updates on my car. Easy and stress free, which is what's needed when you have accident and can't miss work. My father was able to pick up my car, it looks wonderful and there's 100% guarantee. If I'm not happy then they will look at my car again for free. They are so nice and polite, empathetic too. I will use them again. You can rent a car from here too. read more

I only wish I had read all of theses reviews before allowing them to work on an 2018 Audi A4, they quoted a 10 day fix that has now been almost a month and all they do is play the blame game. When told to stop all work on the vehicle while waiting on a part to come in. The part mysteriously came in early and against my wishes they continued working on the car using the excuse they needed their flat bed. I'm going to have that car inspected with a fine tooth comb. I want all receipts to every part and what day and time these parts arrived. I have had to pay out of pocket and their claiming over 15,000 in repairs and won't compensate one penny for any of my out of pocket expenses I endured due to the excessive time frame for repa and their ignorance to stop all repairs , but there is no excuse for ignorance in the eyes of the law and this is going to court and an update will follow. Still refuse to call me back and take responsibility for errors made on my vehicle after 7 attempts... filed a claim in Lynn District court you'll receive notice soon. read more

After an accident on infamous route 1, my truck was taken to York. The manager acted friendly, but this appeared to be to cover up his employees inability to do a good job. At face value the repairs seemed completed to standards, but when looking closer the work was completed poorly; it also took twice as long as promised, which increased other costs. If you look at the paint in the sunlight, you can see the squib marks from the sander, poorly smoothed out for finishing. The gaps that surround the lights are not matching. I wound up months later doing a lot of other front end work because they either missed it or just covered it up so that it was unnoticeable until after some time had passed. Overall, a very poor experience and one I would not recommend to anyone; steer clear of this place if you expect quality work for the money. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. Please do not take your car here. It's not only a waste of your time, but the General Manager, Paul never stops saying his "110%" service slogan which is as fake as they come. They had my car ( luxury SUV ) for over 3 weeks, and when I came to pick it up, it wasn't even close to being done. Then when I went back a few days later to get it, my brake lights weren't working, but don't worry, Paul the GM was still saying he gave us 110% service! I took my car to the dealership so a team who knows how to fix cars could look at it, and discovered an additional $600 issue that York Collision didn't seem to find. If you want to waste your time and get your car back with more issues then you went in with, by all means enjoy York Collision. But if you actually have time to look at other collision centers, and don't appreciate being lied to on a daily basis, go somewhere else. York Collision is a complete joke. read more

at frist look the truck looked great i went in for the bed to be painted both side. i got the truck there sales was great but once you own the car its all over the used car department told me that the truck bed was painted 4 weeks after i had it it was bubbling up so i called the used car manger he said that yorks body shop did not do it they sublet the job out so yorks ford own body shop was going to fix it the right way.. so now 12 weeks after it now looks worst then before i sent emails called no one we return calls to top it off 10 week after i got the truck the drivres head went **** i will never go to york for anything i have a free oil service and i will not go there**** read more
