I have bought a truck and 2 cars from McGee, I have had recall work done there and service work done there. I am going to give you an honest no BS review, some good, some very good and one poor point. The service department is excellent. Not cheap. But the work they do is top notch. I had an auxiliary transmission cooler added to my Silverado and in the process of servicing my transmission they found a frayed line and replaced it. It was more than what the truck was sent in for, and I think that is a good thing. The line did not need to be replaced, it was just frayed, but they called me and let me know the situation. Again, other work that I have had done there has all been done very well, no issues at all. I have work with one salesman at McGee, his name is Jefferson. Here is the one complaint (not about him personally) you will see this in other reviews. Their lack of up front information on trade in value, interest rate and total amount being financed is VERY old school car sales and needs to stop. I know the owner of McGee reads the reviews and has seen this thread recurred time and time again. Selling cars this way is what sent GM to bankruptcy, there is no need to keep people in the dark, give them the opportunity to make an informed decision and you will have a customer for life. Jefferson has treated me well, gotten through the BS and we don't play that game. I can not speak for all salesmen there, but he is a good person, and will be honest with you. Finally I have to say how EXCELLENT the GM Jay is. I just bought a 2013 Malibu and to my surprise it doesn't come with a spare tire, just a stupid pump that fills the tire with sealant and then air. Great for a nail hole, but anything else it is a complete joke. Again was bankruptcy a surprise for GM with ideas like this? I returned with the car the next day and told him I wanted a spare tire. I explained my situation, I keep this car in Florida it is at my vacation home and once a year it is driven back and forth. Not having a spare is not an option. Jay agreed with me and got me a spare that instant! The young man that worked in the service department busted his but in 90+ degree heat to make sure the wrench and jack fit and worked and then put it in the car. I was VERY impressed with their concern for my needs. I had already bought the car, they could have told me too bad... but they did not. Finally, This car came with one key. I read other reviews that were in a similar situation and could not get a key. Well the people at McGee listen. I asked for a second key and 3 days after my purchase I had one NO CHARGE. And while I am speaking of keys, I own a 1994 Corvette that needed a new key cut. Local hardware stores will not cut them because of the resistor chip in them. I brought the blank to McGee and they cut it for NO CHARGE! That is all the truth with my experiences: most good, some great, and like most others on this thread; the lack of transparency in the sales experience NEEDS to change. I arrived to have my Suburban serviced and left with my Suburban AND a 2018 Jeep Wrangler for my wife! Been doing my research for several months on Jeeps and spoke to Sales Associate Catherine "The Girl Boss" Ryan about the three Jeeps she had on display in the lot. She was honest, knowledgeable, respectful and attentive. I was immediately put at ease that I wasnt just a number to her and was there to answer my questions and give info on the vehicle. Unfortunately my wife was not present to see the vehicle but that problem was quickly solved by "Cat." She told me to test drive the car home to show my wife and return it at our leisure before closing time. Got home and my wife and kids were so excited to see the Jeep in the driveway. We took a family test drive and ultimately returned the vehicle to the dealership. Cat was with another customer and sales associate and I could see her helping. Showed me she was part of a team rather than a free for all for a sale. She then approached my family with her smile and accommodated us with extra chairs at her desk for the kids. At a point where the stress sets in for most people when purchasing a vehicle, she was caring about the needs of our family. Comfort, convenience and financially she asked about our needs. After the initial numbers were produced from the "tinted" secret back room (lol), I internally struggled as I knew it wouldn't work for us. A simple statement, "Cat, I trust you with doing this deal as best as you can for me and my family." After several walks into the Top Secret Magic Numbers room, she approached with her sheet with numbers all over them... She and the "man behind the curtain" made an offer I couldnt refuse. Financially the deal couldnt be beat in this market. But I couldnt pull the trigger just yet... I came in for a service job and now about to drive out with a new car! I stepped away for a moment, and upon my return, I was met by both Cat and Aaron the Financial Manager, AKA the Wizard of Number Oz. After his performance including a leg lift, simulating a foot hanging out the side of the Jeep at the beach, I looked at my wife and kids and knew we needed a reliable car for them while I was away with the Suburban. I asked my wife if she liked the car... She said yes and we signed the deal! Cat and her associates were outstanding and we scored an awesome deal on a great vehicle! Any little issue we saw on the vehicle was immediately checked and corrected. (Small rip in the windshield whisper was replaced with a brand new wiper.) O ya! Service department saved me about $1500 on my Suburban! 5 Stars for sure! read more

I'm actually confused as to all the reviews that I've read about this dealership. I found a 2012 Avalanche on McGee's website that was exactly what I was looking for. I used the "click here" for the eprice. This was done at night and I had an email from Chad DaSilva when I returned home from work the next day. I was offered a price of almost $10,000 under MSRP and of course, I was skeptical. I contacted many dealers actually, and received tons of offers but none like McGee's. I even had other dealers tell me to check McGee's reviews and then I was really nervous but I figured that worse case scenario was that I go there, get pissed off and leave. BUT! When I arrived, Chad and the salesperson, Scott Soares, were waiting outside the door for me. In a snowstorm! Chad greeted me and introduced me to Scott and let me know that I'd be working with Scott but if there were any issues to ask for him. I was given a quick view of the new truck and then brought in out of the snow. Although I was there quite some time, it wasn't their fault. I had been emailed a $1000 voucher from GM for being a loyal customer and when it was presented to McGee, they accepted it but it was denied by GM. It took quite some time to straighten things out but Scott went to bat for us. He made multiple calls to ensure that we received that money. I think McGee Chevrolet was not only helpful but went above and beyond the call of duty to sell me a truck. Even as I was passed from Scott to Anthony in finance, the respect and helpfulness continued. Now, I'm not here to tell you they didn't try and "sell." Because they did, but that's also their jobs. I have purchased many vehicles in my life and have never had such a pleasant experience. We spent an awful lot of time laughing and joking and just having a good time. We were offered coffee and snacks and I believe, not that I tried, if I asked for something they didn't have, they would have gone out of their way to get it for me. After all of the negotiations were complete and financing was done, I was brought out to my new vehicle where they had cleaned it all up and as my wife and I sat in the front seats, Scott stood outside, in the snow, and explained each and every button in the vehicle and helped set up the On Star. My impression of McGee was fantastic and would highly recommend them to anyone. I was told once before that "90% of reviews are written from people who didn't get their way", I'm here to let you know that I'm in the 10% that think they not only earned this review but deserve it. read more

I am utterly appalled and deeply disappointed with my experience at McKay Chevrolet. What was supposed to be the exciting purchase of a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe has turned into a financial and emotional nightmare. I purchased the vehicle on February 22nd, and the problems began immediately. Prior to purchase, I raised concerns with salesperson Sean about scratches and the unclean interior. He promised these issues would be resolved, but upon pickup on February 26th (after a suspicious week-long registration delay), nothing had been done. The scratches remained, and the interior was disgustingly dirty, including dog hair, a forgotten charger, and a penny lodged behind the seat. Sean's dismissive and dishonest response, including a flippant comment about the penny, 'more money for you' was insulting. I even broke down in tears due to their complete disregard for my concerns. Furthermore, I was told the vehicle had new brakes, but my mechanic discovered only the rear brakes were done. The front brakes and rotors, which will cost me $1,000 to replace, were dangerously worn, putting my family's safety at risk. This is not only a misrepresentation but also a serious safety hazard. The fact that the front breaks where not properly serviced prior to purchasing, makes me feel that I have been sold a lemon. Adding to the list of issues, the vehicle didn't even have a basic oil change. The check oil light came on shortly after purchase, forcing me to incur yet another unexpected expense. Now, just weeks after purchase, I am facing significant, unexpected repair costs, and I haven't even made my first payment yet. This financial burden is immense and completely unacceptable. The week-long registration delay raises serious suspicions. Was this to hide the vehicle's true condition? Despite my attempts to resolve these issues and my previous review, McKay Chevrolet has remained silent. Their lack of accountability and utter disregard for customer satisfaction is appalling. This dealership is not a place I would recommend to anyone. They have demonstrated a complete lack of integrity, professionalism, and basic human decency. The worst car-buying experience I've ever had. If I could go back, I'd walk away without hesitation and would be a happier person today. The only reason I even set foot in this dealership was because they had the exact vehicle I was looking for with low miles--I had zero interest in anything else on their lot. I initially worked with Rich, who was great guy, but then came salesman JOEL MICHELSEN--pushy, manipulative, and downright insulting. He aggressively pressured me not to leave without buying, and when I expressed hesitation about the vehicle, he repeatedly dismissed my concerns with condescending remarks like, "YOU'RE NOT BUYING A LAMBORGHINI." His tactics were relentless, and after 20-30 minutes of his exhausting sales theatrics, he pretended to negotiate a "perfect world deal"--which turned out to be the exact price we started with. I left feeling pressured, berated, and completely disrespected. Unfortunately, the poor service didn't stop there. It took almost a week for my vehicle registration to be available. Since I live nearly 40 minutes away, I requested it be mailed to me, which they did. However, I was told I'd be reimbursed for the $35 state inspection fee after providing proof of payment. I sent the receipt as requested, but despite following up, I still haven't received my reimbursement. The vehicle also had noticeable scratches, and I was assured they'd be buffed out or I'd be provided with touch-up paint. While the scratches looked slightly better at pickup, they quickly became visible again--a testament to their poor detailing department. On top of that, the vehicle came with only one key, and when I asked if there was a second, I was told they'd reach out to the previous owner. I never heard back. Now I'm stuck paying $250+ for a spare key--something I'd expect from a tiny corner-lot dealership, not from a supposedly reputable one. This dealership operates with high-pressure sales tactics, empty promises, and zero follow-through. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. Avoid at all costs. read more

After reading all the negative reviews about McGee I have to say I was terrified to even drive onto the lot. That certainly all changed! I knew I wanted a Chevy as we own two and they have been nothing but fantastic both still going strong nearing 300,000 miles. I headed to the back of the lot where the pre-owned trucks were in no time at all with a big eye roll, here comes the sales man. He was a bright young man who instantly probed for my needs. I didn't really need a truck we already have one, or the big prices or payments but just was window shopping. So the salesman Sean courtesy asked me really what do you need. A car would be fine but what? I really had not a clue the worst customer ever lol My mother has an older Malibu which I never minded borrowing and driving and before I could say it he did. He said he had the car for me, eye roll again. So he took off to bring this car out. All I can say is that he must have known me for years! It had low mileage, all the bells and whistles which I am accustomed to and even more than I ever expected. The test drive was easy and fast. No need to move on this was the car for me. Now the real magic. So I didn't have any credit and minimal amount to put down, I really never thought I was buying a car that day. McGee got this done and even when they could have taken me for a higher interest rate which I wouldn't have squabbled due to my own circumstances the finance office was on my side and got it much lower. The payments are well within my budget. They set up how and when I want to make my payments. We were in and out owning a nice car in no time. They took care of everything from start to finish with professionalism and thoughtfulness. I picked up the car and it was spotless and looked amazing. One more thing our Salesman Sean was out with customers on pickup so another jumped in to help go over everything and even helped to set up the Bluetooth, who does that? Just bought not one or two but three new vehicles a couple Trucks & SUV this weekend 8/12/23 at McGee of Raynham!! Such an awesome experience!! If you are in the market for a vehicle you must stop by McGee Chevrolet in Raynham, ask to see Manny Williams. Not only is Manny a kind soul, he is a trustworthy upstanding gentleman! Doesn't matter if you are looking for new or used. McGee has a huge inventory to pick from and with price points to fit everyones needs. I can't say enough how we are so lucky to have connected with Manny yesterday, funny thing is we were getting reading to leave the dealership as we planned on coming back on Monday to test drive some of the Trucks. Manny walked by us as we were leaving and gave us a genuine wave goodbye, this prompted us to grab his business card. After that we ended up having a great conversation with him and given us time to consider all possibilities and options, at that point Manny dedicated himself to helping my son and I find exactly what we were looking for. Manny you are one of the best we appreciate you for all of the help and dedication you put into us. On another note we also had an awesome experience with Blake Stangohr who is the finance manager at McGee, such an honest, upstanding gentleman, he gathered details for our situation so he could provide the best possible outcome for us, and he also made all of the numbers work. What a tough spot for a person to to be in, but Blake took his time with our purchase identifying what we needed and making sure that's exactly how we got it. Blake worked in conjunction with Manny from the start to create the proper plan which made it possible for us to not only satisfy our needs but to help exceed our expectations. Thank you both!! Ok So I have a 2015 Chevy Camaro LT with RS package basically loaded lease from McGee Chevrolet in Raynham Ma. I have a year left on the lease but have decided to trade in early.Anyway I put 13,000 down to get into the Camaro lease so I have good equity according to there sales guy Josh and his thieving sales manager back in early 2016 and so I thought I did as well. So I go too several joke of Chrysler Jeep dealerships and they all tell me I have no equity in the Camaro that I have negative equity. Yes folks that's right negative equity. This is what's wrong with dealerships! They just continue to fuck people over and expect no consequences there no better than the mortgage sales thieves. Well you fing shisters guess what I'm going to be your consequence, especially you McGee because you also screwed (really)what you're doing is robbing hardworking folks like myself and my brother and as I'm sure many many other customers. I got a brand new 2016 Malibu from McGee 1 month ago. After only 60 miles on the car the check engine light came on so I went back to them and they told me they couldn't fix it and just let me leave with the check engine light on. After calling gm and complaining A week later they called and told me they now have a fix. I thought ok no big deal stuff happens. But Then a another week after that another check engine light came on. Something different. They kept the car for a week to fix it and drive it around to make sure the light didn't come back on. After picking the car up I noticed a nice dent they put in the side of my car. I brought it back yet again(this is the forth trip I've made to this dealership) the the service manger told me he'll get back to me and sent me on my way. That was two days ago still haven't got a call back. This whole experience has been a nightmare and exhausting and stressful. This isn't how buying a brand new car is supposed to be. Update: after not getting a call back I called them and I now have to wait until Monday 6 days after picking the car up with the dent and drop it off to them so they can send it to a body shop. It is ridiculous that I am paying for a car that I barely get to drive. Im paying for a new car to drive a new car not rentals. This dealership hasn't shown me they actually care that I'm a customer or even apologized for all of the inconvenience they have put me through. read more

I was looking for two vehicles for my wife and I, I have bought a few vehicles from McGee in the past so I started with them first. I was greeted by Manny Williams and explained what my situation was as far as what I wanted for vehicles and I knewn my current vehicle situation was not ideal. So he got started right away and not to my surprise the deal at the time couldn't happen. So a week or so went by and I received a phone call from Manny letting me know that a new GM offer had just come out and they could get a deal done. He already had both vehicles picked up and waiting when I had arrived. For myself and my wife to look at and test drive. Not only was he extremely helpful up until the papers got signed, but when my wife went back to get her inspection sticker Manny had personally offered to wash my wife's car as the inspection took a little longer than expected. I have bought many cars from not only McGee but other dealers in the past. It was finally nice to work with a salesmen like Manny he actually took the time listened to what my needs and expectations were and he made sure it happened. I could not be any more grateful and happy with the service I received from Manny with that being said I hope he stays at this dealership for as long as possible as I will only be buying my vehicles from him. read more

I recently purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler at McGee. What i thought was a great experience has turned into a very frustrating one. I was first told by the salesman he would come and pick up the title and paperwork i had for my trade, he never showed. I drove up the next day to drop it off, fine no worries. I was the told they would try and get my vehicle registered on Monday and would call on status. I called later on Monday, salesman was "Busy with a customer' and they would have him call me back. Guess i was no longer a customer because i never received a call. Next day, Tuesday, i called again to get a status, once again i was told he was "Busy with a Customer", once again I guess i am no longer a customer. So Wednesday i decide to drive to the dealership since i only have 7 days to get the car inspected, guess what Salesman was OFF!. Another Salesman looks and low and behold my registration is there, he takes my car in for inspection. I mention the car did not come with a user manual and lug key, he gets me a user manual, and says the original salesman would call me today, well its 1:00pm and NO CALL... Once you drive off the lot you are no longer a SALES Customer, you now become a Service Customer. So much for going back there for another vehicle. read more

My final experience with the McGee family of dealerships was here at the Raynham location. Once again I saw a pick up truck advertised for a certain price but I wasn't going to believe it until I got there (Since the McGee dealership in Hanover drew me in once after advertising a truck for 12k then telling me it was actually 16k) I was able to negotiate a price I was happy with and bought the truck. A couple of days later I picked up the truck, and I'm driving it home and notice that it doesn't have an inspection sticker on it, usually when you buy from a dealership they do an inspection for you free of charge. So I brought it back and had them put a sticker on it. Most dealerships do their own 20 or 50 or or 100 point inspection on a vehicle when they take it in on trade or from the auction, but this truck obviously had no inspection whatsoever. When I got home I opened the hood and saw that the coolant level was low, the oil was old, the washer fluid tank was almost empty, and the door speakers for the radio only worked 50% of the time. Absolutely pathetic way to let a vehicle leave the lot after someone just bought it from you! read more

I saw the Camaro I wanted to buy so I telephoned the dealership and spoke to a woman on the phone about this particular vehicle. It was the only blue one available and the woman told me that she needed a deposit to hold the vehicle. I traveled over 40 miles to get there and I have to say, the salesperson I dealt with was young but I was in control of the deal or I was walking. I got my deal and bought this beautiful vehicle. The reason why this dealership received one star is that the fool that did my finance hit my credit six times with different banks after I told him I had already been preapproved by my credit union. He said he could do better than two percent in which was not true. A week went by and I received a credit alert which alerted me that my credit card had been used at a Walmart in Raynham, Ma a couple of days after I had given the same credit card number to the woman over the phone. They charged four hundred dollars on it. So be very wary of giving your credit card information over the phone to this dealership. I also made a complaint with the local police department. read more

We purchased a truck from McGee late last year and were extremely satisfied with the experience. Unfortunately last month we were involved in a auto accident and the vehicle was claimed a total loss :( - with that being said, we knew without a shadow of a doubt that we were going back to McGee for our replacement truck. We went there and spoke with Josh and he was extremely knowledgeable and upbeat, an absolute pleasure to work with. We had already spoken to the GM - Jay Pacheco and discussed our situation. He was more the obliged to make sure that we got what we wanted and were happy with the purchase (considering the nightmare we had to go through with our insurance beforehand). Between Jay and Josh, and not to exclude the Finance department - the transition was quick and painless and we are EXTREMELY happy with our new vehicle and will continue to recommend McGee to everyone we know! I went to another dealership and it was a terrible experience. They sent me to two locksmiths that I had to pay for and it turned out that the problem wasn't something that could be fixed by a locksmith anyway. They gave me a really hard time about my warranty and they still never figured out what was wrong. Finally they sent me to McGee Chevrolet and they were awesome. I was able to bring my car right in and they called me to tell me what the problem was before I even got back home. They also fixed my check engine light which I hadn't even asked them to do. My car was ready within 4 hours of bringing it there, they had no trouble with my warranty and they were really nice. My service consultant was Ms Pacheco and she was wonderful. I recently had my 2021 Corvette serviced at McKay. I was unable to get a reasonable service appt with any surrounding Chevy Dealership. I called McKay and spoke to Elisebeth Dechene. She scheduled me for the next business day. I dropped the car off on a Monday morning and again dealt with Elisebeth. She was very informative, knowledgeable and polite. The repair involved a new transmission. She informed me it would be a warranty repair after the Techs completed their analysis. Throughout the process Elisebeth kept me informed of the status with the repair. I also spoke with Jerry, the Service Mgr, on a couple of occasions, he was great. The repair was ultimately completed and the car runs great. I can't thank Elisebeth enough. She was extremely helpful, pleasant and professional. I definitely recommend this Service Dept. This was my first experience at McGee Chevrolet and I am very happy I decided to stop in. Manny Williams was my salesman and he was top notch! He very thoroughly explained about the options on the vehicle I was interested in, but was not pushy what-so-ever. I decided on a 2017 Chevy Cruze Premier and, although McGee did not have the color combination I wanted, instead of trying to sell me one on the lot, they located the vehicle in a different state and brought it in. Manny was fantastic, friendly but professional and kept me thoroughly in the loop as to what was going on with my vehicle and I feel he went the extra mile to make sure that my buying experience was a great one. The sales staff are all scumbags. I initally talked to Aaron and Nick. I was trying to buyout my lease and they said I had to finance through them and there was nothing they could do because it was a GM policy. They Tried charging me 4800 in interest. I contacted GM to ask about it and they said that was a lie. I told the sales manager Brian about this and he didn't seem to care. After i wrote a bad review on google he did care. He called me and asked me to meet him at the dealership to fight. They are a bunch of clowns that like to rip people off. I wonder how much money they made on ripping people off on this scam. My advice is not to go there but if you do get them to write it down or record your interactions with them and report them to the Better Business Bureau. read more
