The only pleasant experience about this dealership was the salesman Elder. He was a genuine guy and actually had a personality. Like all dealerships Ray did the "You walk away and this deal goes away." But As I sat down with the accountant and went over the numbers, the price was over $1,000 more than we had agreed on and several hundreds over the internet price. Ray claimed he had no idea about the internet price. I asked for a refund as I walked away and they said absolutely and gave me my receipt for reimbursement. Except they kept my money on hold and the truck on hold because I was 'a valued customer and the deal would still stand if I wrapped it up by the end of the weekend.' We continued not to agree and I just asked for my refund. It has since been 5 days since I've requested a refund of my deposit but I have yet to see my money(Which is several thousands $$$). I called again today and she said they did refund it and it would take 10 business days (After Brian said 24-72). Asked for upper management and she said no sales managers were there and the only senior manager present was too busy to talk and that they'd call me tomorrow. Awful experience. read more

Read this before you waste your time going here... My girlfriend and I made a deal on a used GMC Denali Sunday May 17th, 2015. We left a $500 deposit. Planned on picking the car up this Thursday. We called today to confirm delivery. The told us a story that there was a transmission problem and the SUV was being returned to the auction. I didn't believe them so I drove to McGee Chevy and found the Denali with a sold tag on it with a different sales reps name. I went to service to ask the service rep what he could tell me about this vehicle as we were the buyers (as far as I knew we were). He said that several bulbs were changed and the oil as well as the tilt steering was fixed... Passed the safety check and they had their best mechanic work on it. I then found the sales MGR (Ray) to confront him and he told me a different story than the sales Rep. He said that the Denali had a 4wheel drive issue and they couldn't sell it. After explains I already spoke to the service dept he admitted it was sold to someone else and they didn't want us to be calling back and complaint about any issues. I asked to speak to the owner (Jamie) and he said he was in the sales office so I walked in and confronted him with the same questions. He confirmed the car was sold to someone else (not returned to the auction like I was originally told) and told me that they would find us another vehicle. Absolutely not is said. We left a deposit on this car. Your service dept says there is nothing wrong with it. We want this Denali! He said he wouldn't sell it to us. I then went to the MGR to get our deposit back but the owner came out and refused to refund our $500 deposit at that time and told me to leave the property. He also asked if this is how I conduct business with my own company. I explained I don't have to since when I shake someone's hand a deal has been made and I stand by my word, even if it ends up costing me money! It's called integrity! Something Jamie, Ray and McGee Chevy doesn't know the meaning of!!! Avoid this dealership at all cost. Do not under any circumstances buy a car from here!!! I previously wrote a good review about how great they were. Come to find out they sold me A car knowing very well it had several problems. All of which I have been complaining and bringing into their shop to fix since the day I bought it. They continually tell me it's something other than what it is. It makes a terrible noise that they are trying to tell me there is no reason for/not a safety reason. There for they will not repair it under warranty but gave me a huge estimate of what it would cost for them to fix. I have brought my car in so many times in six months that there is no way they can deny they sold me a lemon. At this point Jerry, Brian, and Brian have all stopped calling me back for almost a week now. I have contacted a lawyer whose brother is a mechanic and has looked at the car and confirmed what the issue is and the reason they won't fix it. Which is they don't want to pay for it saying it is wear and tear issues. How a car that came this way ( 6 months ago) has wear and tear and is not covered under warranty is beyond me. I am taking legal action and warn everyone out there to stay away from them. They will give you a whole song and dance about buying a used car from them because they stand by what they sell you by fixing any issues through warranty. My daughter bought a used car from this dealership. The car had some scratches so the sales man offered to order her some touch-up paint and have it shipped to us at the house. Said it should only take a couple of weeks. Fast forward a couple of months later and multiple phone calls and texts promising that "it should be in in a few days" - still no touch-up paint. Don't promise something to someone if you have no intention of keeping that promise. Also, a follow-up call to the Manager has gone unreturned. If that is the way they treat their customers after they make the sale, then potential customers should be more cautious and get everything in writing, even if it is something as small as a bottle of paint. read more

So disappointed with this dealership, and it's service center. I've purchased two cars from this dealership thinking maybe the terrible experience I had during the first purchase was just an infrequent coincidence. I decided to give them a second chance because they usually have an attractive selection. However, after purchasing a "Artic White" Mercedes GLK 350 from the dealership, I soon found out why I'LL NEVER PURCHASE FROM MCGEE CHEVROLET IN RAYNHAM AGAIN!! For starters, the customer service is horrendous. The salesmen lie about the duration of maintenance services (oil changes, tires rotation, Inspections) to persuade the customer, so if you're going to make a purchase from this nightmare of a dealership, be prepared to deal with these cons. When my car was delivered to me on the day of purchase, my car was disgusting, lacking the thorough delivery clean every respected customer deserves. There were streaks everywhere from using dirty rags on the " Artic White" body, stickers and adhesive marker everywhere. The car also looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. Disappointed with the service yet excited about my purchase, I drove my car directly to Newport Auto Center ( a Grieco dealership) for immediate cleaning; not before the sales manager telling me my registration would be ready in a couple of days. Before my first scheduled maintenance appointment, I noticed a Fog light went out on the front passenger side of my vehicle, along with a broken door panel that I mentioned at purchase. Not only did McGee charge me for the broken fog, they added the inconvenience of setting the date for my door to be fixed a month out, only to inform me that they didn't have the part upon my return. When the 2nd day came for my door to be fixed, the tech assigned to my vehicle, broke the door, and the seat adjustment knobs, further setting back the time for my car to be fixed. During my second scheduled maintenance, the service tech overfilled my oil causes multiple malfunctions with my car. I spent a month having my car towed to my local mechanic 2 or 3 times. check engine lights, coming outside to my car not starting before work multiple times. I didn't even want my last oil change. I couldn't believe it. after a month of stress and hundreds of dollars at my mechanic, I was low on funds one day and decided to use my last oil change at McGee. I was furious after find black oily boot prints on my tan carpet, with matching motor oil fingerprints on the leather seats, and door panels. When I brought it to the service department's attention, they were rude and unprofessional, behaving as if I committed some sort of foul for calmly bringing it to their attention. My final straw came at almost a year when I finally remembered that they had never given me my registration. Since my car was inspected on site (which I also don't suggest) I forgot since so much time had passed( Luckily, I wasn't ever pulled over). I've purchased multiple cars in my life. This is by far my exceedingly atrocious car buying experience. MGgee are collectively( Sales, Service, Finance Department) the worst Team I've ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I don't even like driving passed their lot thinking what they do to people. I heard numerous hell stories. I will be starting an open forum on all social media sources for anyone who's had poor experiences with this company. The worst experience I have ever had shopping for a car!! We were imprisoned in old school, hard sell hell for over two hours. They did not listen to anything that we said regarding our budget, our needs or wants. After the salesman gave us the price of the car, which was way out of the ballpark, we declined and were ready to leave. He insisted we talk to his manager, who continued to bully and harass us. That wasn't the end of it. Two other "managers" followed! Why didn't we leave? They took our keys to check out our trade-in and would not return them to us! My complaint filed with the Massachusetts Attorney General's office on 6-2-17 says: I entered into a contract for McGee to sell me a 2015 Chevrolet Traverse for $25,000, plus taxes ($2031.84) and fees ($398 doc., $72 reg., $26 title). They collected a $500 deposit from me. I was waiting for them to set a time for the purchase to close. Then they called me and told me the car was damaged when they were moving it to be cleaned, so they wanted to cancel the sale and return my deposit. I initially agreed on the telephone, but then I got suspicious and asked them for a photograph of the damage. They never responded. Now the car is listed for sale on their website for $28,988. I would like specific performance of my contract if the car is not damaged. I have read that your office entered into a consent decree with McGee to stop deceptive marketing practices and made them pay a fine of $225,000 in 2012. My sister and I had a horrible experience at McGee. We came in looking for a specific car, priced online for ~$15,500. They had us test drive the exact same car, but tried to sell it to us for ~$10,000 more. We told them the amount we could pay monthly and didn't have a down payment, just a trade in. They came out with an offer of +$200 above what we could afford monthly. Like really?? Are you deaf?? We sat there for 5 hours waiting for them to "run the numbers". We finally had enough and said we'd leave to think about the newest offer. Asked for the keys back to our car we drove there in.... and no one could find the keys. Are you serious?? First they were just misplaced, then they were accidentally taken by the person who looked it over earlier and they were on break. Then after waiting a half hour for them to come back from break, they weren't back yet, they had apparently gone to Walmart down the street and would be back soon. They suggested while we were waiting that they crunch more numbers for us. My sister left and walked across to another dealership, while I waited for the guy to come back from Walmart with the keys. Almost an hour later, my original sales rep, who has been standing in the finance room yuking it up with other sales people, pulls the f@&$ing keys out of his pocket and comes over like, are these the keys? WHAT?!? I grabbed them from him and took off. Unbelievable. They held us f@&$ing hostage. DON'T GO THERE!! They will jerk you around and waste your time. I don't find the service element of McGee Chevrolet an efficient and pleasant experience. When you drive into the dealership, it's not clear where to go for service and there are never staff on hand to guide. There's a lane, which always has multiple cars parked in it, but no sign of activity. The first two times I came, I sat in my car for 10 minutes waiting. In the end I realized I had to go in and find someone. The last time I came in there was a food truck parked in the service lane and I had to go and find a space to park elsewhere. The waiting area is small, and squashed into a corner of the the main dealership. Staff typically don't take any time to confirm details of your appointment or findings. I just get the standard 'you're all set'. You could learn a lot from Boch Toyota South in N Attleboro. read more

Purchased a brand new Silverado LTZ Z71 in September 2016, had problems day 1. Truck was back to the dealership 5 (10 days in the shop) for the same defect in the first two months. Got the run around still not fixed 6 months later. Truck sits in my garage un-drivable on the highway (Chevy Shaker-look it up on line). Been dealing with McGee/GM and the Attorney General for the past 3 months. General Motors has a defect in a large number of these trucks and they have no intention to fix it. Imagine buying a $52k truck you cannot drive on the highway. Have spoken to other people that have had this issue with the 2016 Silverado and their dealership replaced the truck - no questions asked. I have an email from the service manager (that has strung me along) stating that they need the truck one more time to correct the vibration in the front axle yet the GM Lawyer is telling the AGO the truck is fine. Trying to force me to accept a truck that shakes vigorously after 45MPH and is really bad after 65MPH. This is my 3rd Silverado Z71 and will be my last. Do not buy anything from McGee Chevrolet. read more

Salesman never called for payoff when he was supposed to so I had to pay money out of pocket that I was not planning on using, we agreed upon a 75 month payment term just got my loan info from GM finance at it is 84 months not 75! Part of the deal was to have a spray in bed liner installed I set up with the salesman to drop truck off this past Monday was told is would take a day to do it but when I dropped it off service said it would be 2 days and it is now Thursday and I still don't have my truck back!!!!!!!!! read more

We are happy with our new car, and the actual buying process was ok. However, the car wasn't ready to pick up when they said it would be, infact the car wasn't ready until 5 days after they said it would be, then we went to pick it up, and there wasn't gas in it, and they had not had it inspected, etc. They told us the dealer installed leather came with a lifetime warranty, only to tell us later that we misunderstood?! We had a few issues after the pick up and getting help from them was difficult to say the least. Reviews on this dealer are poor, but we didn't know that before hand...opps! Despite us liking the 2008 Scion xB we purchased and the deal we got, this dealership gets a 1 star rating because it embodies every negative aspect of the car buying process. 1) THIS DEALERSHIP DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH THE CUSTOMER OR WITH THEMSELVES. Between our salesman, loan officer, the "Director of Finance", and whoever registers vehicles, they could not return a phone call except when they mistakenly thought we hadn't brought them the down payment. Then, they could leave 4 messages in 6 hours stating "the boss wants his money" like we are some thugs. 2) Our salesman had no knowledge of the vehicle, repeatedly referred to the incorrect model Scion, could not speak to the warranty or even if we needed a bank check or personal check for the down payment. Pretty poor for a "Senior" sales associate. 3) This dealership does not provide dealer plates if needed - said it was a "Massachusetts thing". This is incorrect because at least 2 other Massachusetts dealers we have been to in the past do this. 3) The "Director of Finance" could not access locked records nor communicate with other loan officers when he takes a down payment one of their vehicles (see "boss wants his money" comment above) after telling us to bring the down payment down a day early. 4) It took a yelling match with a "manager" to get them to register our car (after the first "manager" did not call us back). At first he asked what our problem was, because he mistakenly thought they had 21 days to register the vehicle (according to ridmv.gov, out of state dealers have 72 hours to register a car). He then did not believe us when we said we spoke to the appropriate people and any issues with the registry had been resolved. We had to find these out on our own because the dealership failed to tell us that there was any problems. Finally, he ignored our question about why his dealership would not contact us. He was more concerned with yelling at us than listening. Overall, this dealership lacks the trustworthiness, communication skills, and simple customer service skills to ever be considered for the vehicle purchase in any capacity ever again. It is nothing but a crooked dealership, preying on those who have no clue about the way they do business. We agreed to purchase a used vehicle and was told the payments would be $180./mo. When we went to pick up the car.....the payments were now $280./mo. They said they hadn't added the interest when they quoted the original payment. We cancelled the deal and asked for our money back. They replied a check could not be given to us until the manager was there to sign. We returned the following day only to be told the manager was not in and they had no idea when he would be in. Two days later, we tried to get our money and now were told "you need to show proof we cashed your check!" Why was this not told to us 3 days prior! They are a bunch of unscrupulous people! The service department did their job very well. I am very disappointed and disgusted by Richard and the lies that he told my husband and me when I purchased my car last May. He sat in his chair and lied to my face about what would be covered on an extended warranty (if your heated seats stop working, they are very expensive to fix and you would want them covered) that he said was needed with the type of vehicle I was purchasing because of all the electronics and all the miles he knew that I drove. And then of course when Don asked him about this he had no memory of the conservation. I feel as if he has taken advantage of me and that is just not right especially after this was the second vehicle that was purchased at the dealership within 10 months. I will never purchase another vehicle from McGee again and if ever asked I will be giving my opinion as to why. I was undecided and was basically kept there until I made a decision. (they took my keys and registration for an "appraisal") Bad enough I got a car I really didn't want (my fault) but then they added in "insurance" for four years...without telling me! I went back two weeks later when I realized the amounts didn't add up and was told it was a 4-year insurance plan for dings/dents/blowouts/windshield etc. I cancelled it. I was not told anything about it when I bought the car. At the time I signed the contract, I asked the finance manager, Brad, what I was getting for my trade in. He said $300. I knew I could get more on my own, but didn't want the hassle. Low and behold, I now see they gave me $1.00...again, not telling me that's all I was getting! Very deceptive practices at this place. Now the $880 "insurance" I cancelled is coming off the loan amount but had they done this correctly, my payment would be much less than it is. Now, I'll be refinancing immediately. McGee is an absolute JOKE of a dealership! I wish I had read other reviews and done my own due diligence before shopping here because my experience here was ridiculous. At first the salesmen will seem very nice and helpful, but do NOT be fooled. We agreed on a price and work that would be done to the truck, however when It came time to sign the bill of sale the price changed! Luckily I caught it before I signed anything, and they blamed it on a "typo". This "typo" almost cost me $2,200! When i came back to pick up a few days later, NONE of the work that was agreed on had been done to the truck, and in addition to this they gave me the wrong plates! I needed commercial plates and they gave me normal passenger plates. I was told to come back in in a few days when the RMV and service was open and they would get everything squared away. I come in like told and the manager on duty refused to do the work! I was sworn at and told to leave. Needless to say the plates did not get taken care of either. I brought my 2011 Silverado in for it's service. I have 34,800 miles on it and tow a lot; esp in the summer months. I tow a travel trailer camper and we discuss the amounts I have towed since last service. I find this very helpful. Mileage isn't the only thing that should be thought of and he is right on the ball. Rick Fernandes was excellent as always and very helpful as to what service I should do. When I had a question he brought me right to the service tech that specializes in the type of service I had asked about. I always recommend McGee for service of vehicles. read more

Where do I even begin... I went to McGee Chevrolet in Raynham to look at a vehicle they had on the internet. I went to check out the car, took it for a test drive and returned to McGee. After taking my first look at the car and all of its scratches and questionable appearance, I was not sure if I wanted to buy it. I explained to the sales person that I wanted to go take a look at other dealerships because I was unsure about the car. The sales person promised me that everything in the car worked, the car was a perfect buy, yada yada yada. So I stupidly agreed. But the sales person didn't tell me that the car didn't have a working radio. The car also needed a whole new ABS system costing $1500.00. I went back to McGee 3 times with this brake problem and the owner insisted that the brakes worked fine and threatened to eject me from his property. Shortly after, I drove off the lot with the same problem...twice. Once I suggested getting a lawyer involved, McGee began working with me. The third time I brought the car back (just for the ABS system), they worked on my car for 4 days... and "couldn't" give me a rental vehicle (I have 2 jobs). The sales person and manager argued with me about a tire that wasn't going to pass inspection. Insisting the tire was fine until I brought the car to an inspection station to find it wouldn't pass. And finally, the undercarriage plastics. I found the plastic hanging off the undercarriage the day I bought the vehicle. I asked if they could fix the plastics and they said yes. After returning to McGee 10 times and mentioning the plastic 10 times, it was totally disregarded and the plastic still hangs there today. Okay, McGee Chevrolet of Raynham did give me a new tire... but the rotational tire was put on backwards.... Back to McGee for the 10th time. Literally. STAY AWAY. I bought a Ford Explorer. I went in at lunch to inquire about the SUV, was there for 2 hrs.. finally I agreed to pay 2k less than offering price which was verbally agreed to, then when I returned the next day it was back up to asking price when I went in to sign the papers. At that point I felt pressured to buy the car because "it was still a great deal" and because my car was on its way out. It was so fast, I foolishly, didnt even test drive the car. After purchase: I had to ask the salesman twiice to have the truck vacuumed because there was dog hair all over it. They did not have the key code on the door, but sent me to a Ford Dealership and assured me they would do it; well, they did.. for $50. I also noticed there was a hole in the rear bumper and the power side steps did not work. They refused to take responsibility for any of it, not even an apology! I recently told a salesman (Edison) at Herb Chambers (where my friend was buying a car) about my experience and he conveyed a very different approach that Herb Chambers takes on customer service. I thought going to a smaller dealership I would get a better deal, HUGE mistake. read more
