    Really cute, dog-friendly patio
    Marisa M.

So happy we found this spot that was just a short detour off our route from NorCal to WA. Large, beautifully decorated patio that was dog friendly (they even brought out a water bowl with ice). They graciously sat and served us even though we arrived just a half hour or so before closing. Food was absolutely delicious, the menu is very seasonal and fresh. We will absolutely be stopping her again next time we have this drive!

Nice quaint restaurant. Enjoyed breakfast here with my family the wait wasn't too long they do have outside seating. Felt like eating in your family house which was a nice feeling. The food for breakfast was delicious. I enjoyed my stuffed French toast. My son enjoyed wikki stix toy they give while waiting instead of the usually crayons he was able to create something fun and creative. Coffee was great here too. A must while in Oregon.

Loved the cozy cottage bookshelf ambiance perfect for Bend's moody weather. Came in at 7:30 am some of the first of the morning and had a moment of calm before the bustle picked up. The portions are massive, probably the largest breakfast burrito I have ever eaten. One entree per person will definitely fill you up, and we boxed a lot of our food up after. The carnitas Benedict had a fluffy flavorful moist jalapeño cheddar biscuit which perfectly soaked up the chipotle hollandaise. Paired with runny egg, avocado, generous heaps of carnitas (a bit on the dry side but once the hollandaise soaked through improved with every bite) and crispy potatoes- I was delighted with the breakfast meal. Great spot and super full and busy by the time we left.

After an intense evening at the Oregon Whiskey Festival, breakfast at McKay Cottage was exactly what the doctor ordered. I went for the fruit plate, which was loaded with fresh bananas, berries, pineapple, and more--basically a perfect potassium pick-me-up. It even came with two tasty dipping options. We sat outside to enjoy the crisp Bend air, and the service couldn't have been better--friendly, attentive, and super quick. McKay Cottage definitely lived up to its reputation for great food and even better vibes. Next time, when I'm not recovering from whiskey flights, I'm definitely trying the stuffed French toast or strawberry crepes. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a delicious and relaxing breakfast in Bend!

Cozy Brunch Spot offering unique Seasonal Mimosas & Cocktails. The indoor dining spaces have lots of windows and natural lighting and the stone fireplace gives McKay Cottage that cozy feel. We sat outside in the heated tent with our fur baby - they are dog- friendly. Food & Service are fantastic! Lives up to reputation for being best Brunch Spot in Bend. Hubby had classic Eggs Benedict that he said was very good. I started with a warm Chai and a Bobbin for Apples Mimosa which was magical. Having read the reviews I was prepared to order the stuffed croissant French toast. Last minute change of heart- I ordered the Gobbler, a roast turkey sandwich on a croissant with a flavor profile reminiscent of Thanksgiving. The sweetness of the fig jam played well with the poached pear, savory turkey and peppery arugula. Dessert will have to wait until our next visit. The pastry counter at the front of the restaurant displays cinnamon roles, scones, muffins and impressive cakes. There's even a marionberry and white chocolate bread pudding that would make a wonderful brunch choice.

Big portions, very busy, great service! We had the French toast and lemon ricotta pancakes. Both were very good, neither of us finished our breakfast. We also ordered a scone that came with homemade Marion berry jam. It was very moist! We also had fresh squeezed OJ. Only downfall is that the parking lot is small, we were lucky and got a spot, however, many cars during our visit were doing the loop of doom trying to find a spot.

I think it was a Huckleberry Lemonade, but honestly, I can't remember. It was tasty.

I've always wanted to try this place when visiting Bend. But it's always so busy. (it seems people really like their food) It was a busy Saturday but we were able to get a table for 2 rather quickly. The setting was so homey to me. I felt like we were sitting in someone's home. It was a very well oiled machine with how well all the workers were taking care of their customers. The sandwiche was delicious and so tasty, very fresh. It was as if they had a fresh garden out there back door. Make sure you stop off at the bakery before you leave. I got some for the road and they didn't disappoint. Can't wait to go back.

Poached eggs with potatoes and bacon

Lovely breakfast spot that seems to be super popular (especially on a Friday morning during the summer season). When you give your name at the parking lot entrance, they have a cute area to sit and grab a free cuppa coffee (or water). Of course they'll also take a drink order! Once seated, we gave our meal orders. The scones came out within 10 minutes, but our meals took another 30 minutes. Very delicious (eventually), but the timing was a bit awkward. Highlight was the wonderful potatoes and homemade ketchup (I bought a bottle to take home!)

    Baja Chicken Hash Stack

A quaint little cafe that looks like a house but hides big flavor! We started with a pecan sticky bun which was warm, fluffy, and crunchy. Then for my entree I had the Baja Chicken Hash Stack, so delicious! The server was nice and attentive. Would definitely recommend for a tasty breakfast

We ordered the daily special which was like a form of Mexican Benny. I absolutely loved the rich, hollandaise sauce. There was something extra about it that was delicious. We also ordered had the grilled bfast sandwich and the Baja chikn hash stack. The coffee was robust not like other places where coffee tastes like dirty water lol Will return again.

We went there for breakfast the place was packed and we had to wait 30 mins for a table, but as you wait they have coffee and ice water you help your self while you wait to be called. I had the eggs Benedict with the roasted potatoes and the egg Benedict they use smoked ham in stead of Canadian bacon. The roasted potatoes were very good and also the eggs Benedict. The vegetables omelet was also very good and roasted potatoes, it also came with a scone and their own berry jam. The French toast with the fresh banana was very good and tasty. Service was fast and you can use credit card with a 3.5 percent charge or pay cash to eliminate the 3.5 extra charge. The restroom was clean and they are pet friendly and bring a water bowl for your peg and they have doggie bones in a jar.

    Biscuits and gravy
    Marissa L.

The best biscuits and gravy we've had hands down. Hubby said he would drive 4 hours to have again. However, the cinnamon french toast left more to be desired. There was about a 45 minute wait which we checked on one more place nearby however similar wait time so we came back, which thankfully we our name in just in case. While waiting, they brought water with ice for our dog. They have a website that shows where you are in queue and how long your wait time has been to that point. We were seated in the very back which was perfect for my anxious pup so she did not worry about what or who is behind her. All the staff were amazing and 100% on their service. Patio had umbrella coverage with sunshine coming thru in some areas. We took in the beautiful ambiance of it all. We really need a summer home here!

The first thing I saw was the beautiful bakery case filled with breads, rolls and drippy gooey cinnamon rolls1. I ordered from a very friendly staff member with a beautiful smile. I decided on an egg sandwich served on a toasted, incredibly soft, house-made milk bun. Layered with a flavorful chimichurri aioli and topped with melted Queso Oaxaca cheese. I love the added crunch with pickled radish, carrots, and fresh sprouts, which cut through the richness with a bright, tangy bite. Seriously, it was mouth watering delicious and probably the most unique breakfast sandwich I have ever had. As I write this my mouth is watering thinking about it! The vanilla lattes are not average they were lovely. It's cool that the beans are sourced from plantations in Veracruz, Mexico. Not overly sweet with milk frothed to the perfect drinkable temperature.

Who knew one could find Paris quality croissants in Bend, Oregon?…read more We were in town for our family reunion and two summers ago we held it at the Paris Olympics so our point of comparison is valid. Twice I went to M's to pick up a large assortment of pastries for our family of 21 and everything was outstanding and compared favorably to the best we had in France. We were staying at the Riverhouse Lodge and it was an easy 7 minute drive to get to the Old Mill location with plenty of parking. Both days no chocolate/almond croissant, which was sad. Standouts: - almond croissant 5/5 - chocolate croissant 5/5 - ham and cheese croissant 5/5 - gochujang twist 5*5 (so unique and so bummed they didn't have it the second day) - kouigh amman 5/5 - almond pecan sandie 5/5 Solid choices: - monkey bread 4/5 (a bit smaller than what I'm used to and more bready than pastry, no frosting as I'm more used to seeing) - milk bread 4/5 (solid offering) - blueberry scone 4/5 (a little bit too fruit forward so very messy to eat but still yummy) - blueberry buckwheat muffin 4/5 (also a bit too fruit forward so very messy to eat, but still yummy) We didn't try any of their breads but the selection looks great!
