Doughy putty seal, leaky. Coil frosted and melted, causing water damage
    Kalvin K.

Order for new base Lennox condenser and coil w/install $6319. McNallys installed and unit is nonfunctional. Ice and water damage on unit and flooding within a day of install. Unable to send same day technician to review or advise because of frost. They unable/unwilling to send after hours service for the next day (I cannot be home during 9-5 business hours due to work). This has been a nightmare situation. Update: McNallys sent a tech out on the following weekday to fix issue free of charge, which was a motor blower capacitor that had fried.

Excellent service from technician Charles today .

recently had a fantastic experience with McNally Heating and Cooling Company. Their technician, Charles, came to clean the vents in my home and did an outstanding job. He was professional, thorough, and very knowledgeable. Charles not only ensured that the vents were spotless but also provided me with some excellent tips on maintaining my HVAC system. I highly recommend McNally Heating and Cooling for their top-notch service and expertise. Thank you, Charles, for your exceptional work!

I felt the price to replace a motor was high. Wish we would have gone elsewhere. Tech seemed over eager to replace the whole system.

Final Update: 12/22/2018…read more The appointment went very well and my humidifier is installed prior to the holiday party. Bill came through on his promise and there were no issues whatsoever. The installer, Vlad, was on time and very professional and courteous. This is a great example of an owner who responds to customer complaints and makes things right when they go wrong. Obviously there is only so much that they can control, however my issue was fixable when there was flexibility on their part. So thank you, Bill, for responding. Your company will continue to be my first call UPDATE: Bill Wykle the owner called me directly and, apparently, he never received my email. We were able to work out a time THIS WEEK (before my holiday party) to have the installation completed. I've dealt with other companies who couldn't even be bothered to acknowledge an issue so it's a good step and shows the owner's willingness to right a wrong and keep a customer happy. I will update after the installation... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Summary: No respect for your time - unwilling to fix issues they create - hard-nosed approach. If you're going to talk a good Customer Service game you better walk the walk. One Hour installed a new furnace and AC unit in my home this year, all went well and they were my first call when I decided to add a humidifier to the unit. I had someone come out to give me an estimate and explain the options; I decided to go with the higher priced option since it seemed to be a better value, overall. I had my appointment scheduled for Friday afternoon as they were running low on appointments and I wanted this done prior to a family holiday party we are having. Friday afternoon the tech showed up and quickly determined the humidifier ordered would not fit and they would have to go with a bypass; this was a little frustrating as I had taken a 1/2 day off work but things happen so we scheduled the replacement to be installed on Monday, 12/17 in the afternoon. I get a call on Monday (after taking another 1/2 day off) asking if I could "help them out" since they had an emergency repair that needed to be done. I explained that I could not wait (for all the reasons noted above) and I should not have to be sidelined on a job that will most likely take less than 3 hours (MAX). The person explained they would speak with the owner and then called me back to say they simply couldn't do the job and the SOONEST they could come out would be two weeks (Jan 31st - AFTER the holiday party) I sent an email to the owner without a reply as well as their corporate office (no reply) explaining this and my frustration with their lack of willingness to go above and beyond for a customer who literally just spent thousands on new units a few months ago. I used to recommend them highly but I cannot continue to do so. Look elsewhere

The first time our four year old Williams system went out it the receptionist had to call the technician who had to call his manager and no-one knew what the other was doing. The first technician came out and said it would be a $200. fix. Upon ordering and delivering the part, another technician informed us that it was not just a $200 part but an $800 part and possibly another $800 for an additional value that "usually goes bad". Yep, from $200 - $1,800 in a matter of days. When I pushed the repairman on why the first technician wouldn't have diagnosed this problem earlier, he said he wasn't sure and all-of-a-sudden his story changed to "we don't need the second $800 part after-all". Forward a month later and our boiler is leaking. This time the technician said with a straight face as it's -10 degrees outside, "well just turn the unit off for a month until we can order the part and get it in. Are you kidding me! Same story with the run-around but this time it's..."well, you may need a new boiler". After researching Williamson boilers I found out they are the absolute worst manufacturer. Same story over and over. They last a couple of years and then go bad. Buyer beware on this one. In response to One-Hour Heating's response: Bill, we can certainly get into this if you want, but you may want to re-think your strategy here. The warranty was just one aspect of this whole mess. The bigger issue is One Hour heating installed our unit on concrete blocks making the unit unstable and uneven possibly causing the heating element to crack. That is the first problem. The next issue is with One-Hours scare tactics in suggesting we need $1,8000 in repairs when we were initially quoted $200. I've talked to many installers in the industry and they were appalled and what you initially charged us for the bladder as well as what you tied to get away with by quoting $1,800. We ended up going with a wonderful company in Polar heating who did a masterful job from start to finish. So, you can argue the warranty point but that does not change the facts. My suggestion to you is to leave well enough alone and just own your mistakes and learn from them so no-one else has to go through the misery that we did.

Extreme markups, laughable "egg logic," and an owner who calls clients a "big baby"…read more If you enjoy waiting two weeks for service, getting charged a $165 markup on standard retail products, and being called a "big baby" by the owner when you ask about it--then this is the company for you. Otherwise, take your business literally anywhere else. To be fair, the field techs (Shane and Joe) were good guys who did their jobs well. But the owner, Greg, is an absolute nightmare to deal with. Here is how my experience went: The $165 Markup: They charged me $425 for an off-the-shelf ecobee smart thermostat. The exact same unit sells at major retailers like Best Buy for $260. I waited two weeks for them to show up--time I easily could have used to buy the unit myself if I knew he was going to tack on a nearly 64% markup for a product in a cardboard box. The Laughable "Egg" Logic: When I texted Greg to question the massive markup, his attempt to defend it was unintentionally hilarious. He actually wrote: "When you go to the grocery store or a restaurant and you order up three eggs and they charge you $10. Do you tell them I could buy a dozen eggs for less than that?" A factory-sealed, mass-produced thermostat is not a cooked meal at a restaurant. Comparing a retail piece of consumer electronics to three scrambled eggs is pure comedy. The Childish Insult: When I called out how ridiculous his "egg" comparison was, Greg threw a total tantrum. Instead of handling a basic billing inquiry like an adult, he dropped all professionalism and texted me: "What a big baby you are." Calling a paying client a "big baby" because they call out an outrageous markup tells you everything you need to know about how Greg runs his business. He doesn't care about repeat clients, reasonable pricing, or basic respect. Save yourself the money and the headache--hire an HVAC company run by an actual professional.
