McRee Ford denied my warranty claim on my 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning, telling me that significant paint delamination on the front bumper was caused by rock chips. That determination was wrong. I explained that this happened after only a couple thousand miles. When I went to the Ford forums, other Lightning owners had identified the exact same issue with these bumpers -- this is a known problem. I even went by 2 different paint and body shop and they both told me it was a problem with primer and paint sticking. The same day I picked up my truck from McRee, I took it to Mac Haik Ford. Their body shop manager personally inspected it and immediately identified the real issue: a primer adhesion failure -- meaning the paint never properly bonded to the bumper from the factory. He filed a warranty claim on the spot and put me in a rental while the repair is processed. McRee Ford's dismissal was not only incorrect, it was lazy. The damage pattern -- large irregular voids with the paint film visibly lifting and peeling at the edges -- is nothing like a rock chip. Any experienced body shop professional can see that. Mac Haik's manager saw it in minutes. If McRee Ford had done their job properly, this would have been resolved the first time. Instead I had to fight for what I was entitled to under warranty. I will not be returning, and I would caution anyone with a warranty issue to think carefully before trusting this dealership. My experience with Brandon Sweeney was zero customer service. I will never purchase another Ford from McRee

Walked in on a Saturday. No one greeted us, ask the girl at the front desk how we could get helped. She stated you help yourself and walk around. Once you are interested then come back and I will get you a salesman. Very rude! Sterling McCall Ford on the other hand, had everything ready for my husband since he was surprising me with a Bronco for my birthday. They made my day very special and walked out with a gorgeous Bronco!!

Nearly 2 weeks to get simple repairs completed. I feel like it was only completed then because I kept showing up to inquire about the status. Very poor customer service. There was also some upholstery cleaning that can be taken care of in detailing. I went to the Start Toyota - they offered ~$2700. This was the first quote and we did not want to trade-in for any vehicle that they had, because we didn't find any. We did buy another vehicle and were looking to sell ours now. Did not want to go through the private selling hassle because I did not have the time or the expertise to do this here. So, I asked my mechanic for options and he mentioned me to try Carmax. I was hesitant, because a family friend mentioned that they were the lousiest in the business, but I did give a try I went to Carmax; lousiest experience in car dealership ever. They were the roughest bunch of people that I ever dealt with. They survive because of the aggressive advertising. Was given a quote that was $2000 less than what Kelley Blue Book (KBB) average quote was ($3,381-$4,276). Discouraged, I asked the salesman from whom I bought my new vehicle. He directed me to a second-hand car salesman that he knew. That person offered $3000. Life happened and two months went by before I could find time to clean the car and call the guy. In the interim, I felt that I should get more for the car, call it a gut feeling..... So I chanced upon the Signpost when driving on the Gulf Freeway for Texas Direct Auto (TDA). It was the best thing for selling this car that I did. Loved dealing with Michael Ham and Jamicia Ware. Ambience was very calming. Wait was 30 minutes. Quote was hassle-free and quick. Rate was closer to the mid-range of what KBB gave. Walked out happy. Keep up the good work, TDA!!!!!!

**Very Disappointed With Customer Service**…read more I had an extremely disappointing experience with Clear Lake Honda. I was on the phone with a salesman named Cesar when my phone unexpectedly lost service and the call was disconnected. Shortly afterward, instead of simply calling me back or asking what happened, Cesar texted me saying that I was rude for hanging up on him. I found that response very unprofessional and inappropriate. A salesperson should understand that calls can be accidentally disconnected, especially when there are phone service issues, rather than immediately assuming the customer intentionally hung up. I was seriously considering doing business with this dealership, but the way this situation was handled has definitely changed my impression of the company. Customer service and professionalism matter, and this experience was unacceptable.

My goal was to check out a deal I found on CARFAX. 2025 Honda CR-V $25,596 and it only has 7256 miles. I normally don't drive 50 miles away from home to see something ordinary. Something tells me this was a great deal. I sent my inquiry on November 12, 2025. Shortly after, the internet manager Siarra responded. On November 15, I received an email telling me the vehicle was still available. On Monday, November 17, I walked into the dealership and asked for Siarra. Instead, I was told that a floor salesperson will be helping me. A helpful car salesman named Erik came to assist me. I went to his desk to check out that car I inquired about. What? It doesn't exist? It can't be sold because I got a confirmation email that morning. He said I should had went to the dealership's website to verify if that car still available. Wait. If it's not available, wouldn't that be Siarra's responsibility to contact me? Why is it suddenly the customer's fault. After talking back and forth about the cars that would meet my criteria and budget, he agreed to show me a HR-V EX-L for $27,433. Basically, there were no SUV's in my price range. Not sure why he even show me this vehicle and not telling me the price before I get off of the car. The HR-V was nice with souped up bells and whistles. Yeah. I would have to pay more for the modern convenience. After I parked the car, he walked to someone in another car to chitchat. I looked around the car to see if this car suits me while waiting for him. I found a few deficiencies. One, HR-V doesn't have assist bar above the car windows. I really need them because sometimes I need to pull myself out of the car. Two, the rear seat was so short. I can't easily get into the seat. Then, I started walking to check out other cars in the lot. Oh, the colors are very limited to black and white. Blue one is the sports model. At that point, I was done. There wasn't any reason to stick around. I went back to the showroom and tell the sales manager bye. I was really disappointed and wasted 3 hours of my time driving to Clear Lake to experience a switch and bait.

What really stands out to me is the communication and how hard they're willing to work with their customers. I've honestly never seen a company put this much effort into working with buyers when life happens or things get difficult. They're willing to communicate, explain what's going on, and try to find a solution rather than immediately writing someone off. At the end of the day, buying a vehicle comes with an agreement and payments have to be made, but if you communicate with them, they will do everything they reasonably can to work with you. That's hard to find, especially at a dealership willing to give people a chance when traditional financing may not. We had the good fortune to meet Misa Jelic who made the purchase seamless and easy. In September 2022 COVID was raging and I wanted to trade a 2018 Honda Pilot for a new one. Resale value was at an all-time high but many dealerships were marking up scarce new inventory by $10,000 to $15,000. League City Jeep (then Ron Carter Jeep) did not!!!! To maximize my trade value, I bought a Dodge Charger Scat Pack for MSRP. League City Dodge, Chrysler and Jeep refused to mark vehicles above MSRP. A year later when dealerships recovered, had received normal allocations and were willing to deal I traded the Dodge to a 2023 Honda Pilot but preserved my trade value thanks to League City not taking advantage of the situation when times were tough. Fast forward to yesterday. The 2020 Jeep Wrangler has been a great vehicle but was pushing 127K miles and it is time for an upgrade. League City Jeep and Misa Jelic came through for the third time for us as we closed on a 2026 Jeep Wrangler with a more than fair price and an exceptional trade in for the 2020 Jeep that served us so well. According to the technician, they repaired the motor mounts, transmission mounts, and the window. When we picked the van up, the window still did not work, and the noise was still there. We brought the van back, and Daniel, the service representative, then told us additional parts were needed. The window repair alone cost us $1,231.00, yet the window still does not function. We were also later told the van now needs a new transmission. My question to Daniel was simple: Why were these issues not properly diagnosed, documented, or communicated before charging us $3,542.20? Why wasn't the vehicle fully troubleshot before repairs were recommended and approved? Had we known the full extent of the problems upfront, we could have invested the $3,542.20 toward a different solution instead of paying for repairs that did not resolve the original issues. Very disappointed with the lack of communication, diagnosis, and quality control.
