Update to owner response: There is a dealership more than 30 miles from your dealership that was selling a specific car. That car randomly disappeared from there inventory and somehow ended up in your inventory with a $10,000 markup. VIN and CarFax matched perfectly. So good job buying cars from dealerships and inflating the price preventing people from getting "normally" priced car nowadays. Very honest of you guys. This is easily the best car buying experience I've ever had. I got the exact car that I wanted for an amazing price. The staff here is so friendly and helpful. Michael, the owner, is very involved and present in his business which gives me a good feeling about buying a car there. I'm not sure why I see the complaints in the reviews here, a lot of the reviewers must not me reading their advertisements in full. The website and advertisements clearly state "no haggle pricing". That means they are going to give you a fair and reasonable price for the car without having the beat around the bush. They did not try to up sell me on any additional package or warranty that I didn't want. It's cut and dry, here's the price for the car and that's it. I wish more dealerships were like this. In addition to the great initial experience I had buying the car I would like to mention that they went out of their way to help me out later down the line. A week after purchasing the vehicle I noticed that the 4wd switch wasn't functioning properly. We went down to MDK from Monterey to buy a very rare 2003 VW Passat W8 4Motion with manual 6-speed stickshift. This was back in 2012 before I joined Yelp. MDK made such a positive impression I felt inclined to do this Yelp review even though 3 years have passed. I bought a Porsche Boxster April 16. It was a fair deal, not a great deal but fair. I noticed that the car was almost out of gas and asked if they would fill it up (like most reputable dealers would) and they said no. So I had to immediately find a gas station or run out of gas. Now I have gotten the title but no plates. I have emailed them three times and texted them to find out what is happening with the plates and no response. My boyfriend paid the mechanic to fix the problem, but less than a week later, the problem occurred AGAIN. They are a fraudulent business that is only interested in leeching money from its customers. After a week of having purchased a car from here it broke down and wouldn't start went to see what we can do wit Darya she didn't even want to receive us until my wife said we aren't leaving until we talk to her is when she finally came and talked to us and very blunt said the website said "as is and if anything goes wrong don't call us" very bad attitude and as soon as her boss stepped in she sped off mad and my wife told her aren't we adults then stay and talk like an adult, don't be walking away when we are talking she stumped on back to talk to us horrible experience. Michael told my wife that we are trying to shift the problem on to them when it was our responsibility after purchase. He did give us the option for us to get the car towed to them to just diagnosed but beyond that we would have to pay for all the parts but not the labor but it's a win loose situation with this haven't even given the first payment and not even a month and car is wrecked. Key words high performance cars with allot of miles can give out at any time so as soon as u sign the papers it's all on u if it explodes coming out oh well you signed the papers it's on you that's the answer for everything their. After this talk we had wit them I went ahead and checked the car for the damage and to see what was the problem and in the pictures attached is what I found in the oil pan and the rod bearing was completely destroyed. The staff was also very professional, and non-pushy. We docked a star because shortly after we drove off the lot, the "check engine" light came on. They tell you up front "purchase as is". But once MDK gets their money, the customer doesn't matter. 3 months later and I have yet to receive my registration. I've reached out to MDK at least 10 times and Dariya stated it was lost in the mail and a duplicate was picked up.Further stating she did me a favor. or I could have gone to the DMV on my own to pick up a copy. I was in search of a Mercedes E Class when I came across one online located at MDK International. I scheduled an appointment to take a look. The selection of cars there is incredible. I test drove the E-Class I came for and then began to explore the lot. If you land at MDK for a particular car take the time to explore the inventory! There are so many similar options to choose from. I came across a 535i that I immediately knew was the one upon sitting in it. I returned an hour later for a test drive and signed papers for it that same day. The 5 stars comes from the above and beyond support that I later experienced. Shortly after the purchase I heard a noise in the steering which ended up being the tightening of some bolts in the suspension, common in the BMW (F10) after further research. I took the vehicle to a local mechanic and they proceeded to tell me I should replace the oil housing and water pump. I called over to MDK and asked if I could bring the car back as I'd been told these two areas had just been replaced prior to purchasing the car. I took the car over and Michael and Alek reviewed the areas of concern, ran tests, washed the motor over to make sure they hadn't missed anything and gave it a seal of approval. The owner offered me to pre-buy inspection in a radius of 5miles with no delivery cost - WHICH IS VERY AMAZING! After test drive, I appraised my trade in, Darya, who is in charge of the finance, prepared me a document how much I need to finance and told me about lending sources, I tried to get the finances thru Wells Fargo with myself ( omg I will never work with WellsFargo Again - they gave me hard time even i have an excellent credit) I called Darya about how difficult WellsFargo is, she offered me finance thru their resources. Before reading my review Please look at how many one of five stars this place has. Enough said........ I had an appointment last Thursday to look at a Corvette. When I got there I was whistling in the waiting room to the music playing. All of a sudden some rude lady came out from the back and asked me not to whistle because she hated whistling. She wasn't even nice about it. Hahaha can you believe that? I should hand just walked out. I did like the car but there were 2 big issues. The Harmonic balancer was faulty, wiggling really bad in front of engine (common problem) and the driver window didn't work. I asked them what they were willing to do because I wanted to buy the car and they said they would get back to me. No call on Thursday, so i called on Friday. They said they will let me know. It's now Monday and I have heard nothing. I guess I will find another car to purchase. Absolute worse customer service I've ever experienced trying to buy a car. I would never ever even consider this place to ever buy a vehicle. Maybe this was my guardian Angel saving me from some real big issues. Anyone who would read their response to my review (or their "unprofessional" responses to any negative review) and still buy a car from these people are nuts. Truly unprofessional and rude !! Changing a harmonic balancer is a 800-1200$ job. I don't care what the part costs. Another typical 3rd rate "Used Car" dealership. Per their website, the best way to reach them is to text them (strange, but OK). I followed their instructions and proceeded to text them per their wishes. After several hours no one had gotten back to me. So I thought I'd better just pickup the phone and call them. On the phone I was told they don't allow people to just drop in, but rather an appointment has to be made to view a vehicle (I'm OK with that). I spoke to the woman who makes the appointments and gave her all of my information and the information of my colleague who was going to view the vehicle for me the following day. She and I settled on a time of 12:30PM the next day. My colleague traveled all the way from Long Beach to Burbank and arrived at 12:15PM only to be told his name was not on the appointment list and the car he was to view had already been sold. What an exercise in frustration. These people should learn how to conduct business properly or climb back under the rock they came from. read more
