After my experience with these low rent people, I would have never flown from Texas to California to purchase a vehicle. Upon arrival the vehicle had damage on the tailgate, the air conditioner didn't work. I had to tell them that if they didn't charge the air conditioner with Freon that I wasn't going to buy it. They did make a 200.00 adjustment for the tailgate damage after complaining about it. They were very rude. The paperwork was messed up when I got back to Texas. I called them and they said that they would send me a check to refund my document fees since they weren't right . After 2 weeks I have never received the check. I would never buy another vehicle from them. I would highly recommend that you have all your ducks in a row if you buy from them, because they will take advantage of you. read more

Since the owner is being exactly what I thought he was (after changing my initial review at his request, which is a terms of service violation) I'm going to respond to his comments. I'm not a mechanic and I didn't know anything was wrong with my car. I didn't fail to disclose anything. What you spend on fixing cars is none of my business. And apparently you didn't spend anything to fix the car I bought since I had to change the front brakes and CV boots within the first 2 weeks. Haha, MDK never "suggested" anything related to an inspection. I never refused to have an inspection performed, I asked the question and I got, "uhh, there is interest in the vehicle'. To a casual buyer, not a professional, that means oh, go ahead but we cannot guarantee that we won't sell the car before its inspected. Based on ALL of my interactions with this company I do not recommend them. You might have a different experience, but this was mine. And since what the owner is claiming didn't actually happen, I know he is not above lying to make his company look good. So, even more reason to avoid them. You will note when you look at my profile that when I review a place I give it a fair shot. That includes not being so extreme with my ratings, ie all 1's and 5's. If you do get your car inspected before purchase from them, DO NOT SHARE THE RESULTS with them, at least not in detail. If they want to know whats wrong with the car, let them pay for it. If they want to know what your inspection results were, ask them to split the cost at the least. read more

Don't bother calling for an appointment. The receptionist has no intention on helping you. She was extremely short with patience and rude. She told me that they could not make me an appointment without me telling her exactly which cars I wanted to see. I explained that I actually wanted to see all of the ones they had of that make and model (there were 4 online, she said 5 on her list). She had the list in front of her but she refused to help. She repeated that I had to look at the website first (I had) and tell her which cars I wanted to see. So I needed to hang up and call back again? I had already left a message and waited a few days for a call back. I repeated that they were all in our price range and I wanted to see them all. Let me list the comments she said to me, the customer. This was her to me: * "Well maybe if you just listened to what I'm saying to you, you'd understand?" (Ok, because I must be stupid) * "Maybe this isn't the right place for you." (I was insulted, because I belong where exactly?) * "We only have two sales people, we aren't going to walk all over the lot for you!" (Wait, I thought you sold cars, my bad!) *I don't know what to tell you." (Instead of, let me explain better or how can I help you?) I repeatedly asked for clarification of what information she needed to make an appointment that the website had, when there are only 5 cars that she has the list of in front of her and I want to see them all. We could have gone through that list on the phone and resolved this if she wanted to actually sell a car, do her job and be helpful. She sounded like she was in a hurry to do something else. I want to pay cash. I do not need to be told to do my research, be referred back to a website while I have you on the phone and be schooled like I'm some poor, low, not-worthy of your presence peasant. I really wasn't in the market for a new or Used car, but with the factories offering super deals, I started looking for some used decent sport cars; mainly a weekend convertible fun car. I found exactly what I wanted from my credit union's buying tool, Truecar. It was at MDK and I was leary, at first.!! Decided to pull the trigger, set everything up, and was cautious, because I expected far less!!! Surprised I was!! Got to MDK, meet Darya, was shown the car I picked out..and OMG it was near perfect for a 12 year old Audi TT covertible. Paint was fabulous, car was immaculate inside and out..drove like a dream. Yes, some minor, minor things, but overall the car was a GREAT FIND. They are not a service and reapair shop and they are not experts on any car in particular. MDK is a great resource for high end cars at excellent prices....priced to sell. Like any used car that you purchase, be prepared to have it checked out by someone you trust and do your carfax and overall car research. In an hour you can know more about the car you are buying than you ever could 5-10 years ago. With all of that said, they are smart, efficient, honest, and well priced. These cars aren't all perfect but thats why they are here and not on a certified pre-owned lot. Be responsible and with a bit of service work you can walk away with a gem like I did. I totaled my Lexus GS300 in a minor accident so I had the annoying task of having to buy a new used car. My internet search brought me to MDK. They have a very informative website complete with official CarFax.com reports... for free! The owner never buys cars that have been in accidents or have less than desirable history. Upon visiting MDK's website, I narrowed down my choices to 2 Mercedes Benz ML320 and a BMW wagon. Their location is very easy to find in Burbank's industrial area where they operate out of a very clean and professional warehouse. They have their cars parked inside on the ground level and up on the rooftop level. The salesperson, Joe, pulled out the cars for me one by one and let me test drive them each pressure free by myself. Their prices on the cars I was interested in were all less than KBB Blue Book value... Sweet. My overall experience was surprisingly great even though I wasn't too thrilled to have to find and buy a new car. They were very knowledgeable, answered all my questions and concerns with a high level of professionalism and honesty plus I felt no pressure to buy whatsoever. I did end up getting one of the ML320 and fast forward to 2 months later, I'm still very happy with my choice and would definitely buy a car here again. Highly recommended! read more

Had some initial problems with the car, but owners were quick and willing to work with me to help resolve the car's issues. I sent another friend here who was looking for a Porsche and as expected, MDK was able to help. While I was there, I was bored so I looked up some of the recent reviews. As a fellow business owner myself, I feel I have to make a comment... Judge a car dealer by the cars they sell. A lot of these 1 star reviews seem to go on and on about how they were rude on the phone or some other procedural / administrative issue. In my business, which shares some of the same policies, I also get some angry people and I just cant understand why. Do you get mad at ARCO because they dont take credit cards? Or Costco because they only take VISA now? Do they deserve 1 star reviews for that? How about Amazon for not answering their phones? If a particular chooses to have some policies in place, such as being by appointment, or not wanting to tell you over the phone that which you can easily discover on their website, then so be it. If that doesnt agree with you then just shop elsewhere, but why bash the business? The day they sell me a bad car or FAIL to deliver the paperwork I too would complain. But the cars they sell have ALWAYS served my friends and family well and sometimes the paperwork takes 2 weeks sometimes it takes 2 months but it always arrives so whats the problem? I would recommend as I originally stated, judge businesses by what they sell. And what they sell, and have now sold to people I know 3 times over, are good decent cars. Test Drive experience in February was great. Came down from san francisco to Burbank to see the car. I was sold and since then have not looked at any other vehicles because the 2015 Golf Sportwagen TDI was the car I wanted, end of story. Since then I've been waiting for MDK to obtain the title from the DMV so that my bank could obtain a copy and approve my financing. I have checked in every week or so to make sure everything is on track and to remind them that I will be buying this car once they get the title. I also have a signed and dated Purchase agreement with MDK. Well today, April 24th I call after not receiving a reply to my email on April 20th asking for an update. I find out they sold the car a week ago. If you are financing I recommend avoiding MDK altogether because they do not care about you. Only cash. You can remind them and show up a hundred times to make it clear you will buy that car and it will mean nothing to them. I'm really pissed. I paid to have the car inspected, did all the leg work for them and all I got was blown off. Like I said, avoid if trying to get financing. Cash is king. EDIT TO RESPOND TO MICHAEL K: Since February 28th , the day after I visited your business for a test drive, I have sent 15 email messages and called 7 times. Every time I asked "how can I make this purchase happen?" your response was "sorry unfortunately we do not hold vehicles". And every time I followed up by saying I want to buy this vehicle, how can I make that happen. I offered to put a deposit, you gave me the same "unfortunately we do not hold vehicles" response. You were no help in explaining options for how to purchase the vehicle. I had to constantly follow up to make sure you were even getting my messages. How hard is it to take five minutes and clarify what down payments or deposits or other kinds of financing would have been acceptable? Do you not think you could have sold that car to me 7 weeks ago? Because you started a purchase agreement, I trusted everything was in order on your end. Why did you send a signed purchase agreement on March 6th if you didn't have everything in order? I waited the last four weeks for you to get me the title as Darya said she would from our phone call March 27th. From where I'm standing, this was a poorly managed deal on your end. You earned you a one star review with your complete lack of clarification and for leading me on for the last several weeks as if you were going to sell me the car. read more

Purchased an Italian sports car from them recently. The car was still under the factory warranty, had 16k miles on it and was in very good condition. Test drove it with Dmitry and after being intoxicated by the howl of the Maranello-produced V8, I made a decision on the spot. The rear tires were fairly worn and I brought this up to Darya and Mike after I had signed all of the paperwork and took possession of the car. Even though they had no obligation to service the vehicle further, Mike agreed to replacing them. Darya let me choose the tires - I selected the very best tires I could find (Michelin Pilot Super Sport - standard on the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta). They are not cheap tires, but they ordered them without any questions and had them installed at a local tire shop. Darya was very good over text message. Very courteous throughout the process, and they know their cars well. Some used cars are in better condition than others. You cannot fault the dealer if the car has problems. The only thing you can hope for is that they will support you in resolving any issues within reason. By replacing the tires on my car, I would say they did just that. read more

When I arrived for my appointment we were greeted and the car was ready for us to look at and drive. I had an excellent experience with MDK in securing my new Audi S5. There are only a couple of sales guys, in addition to the owner and accountant, so the atmosphere is extremely laid back and pressure-free. These guys know their cars and their inventory is spotless. A quick glance in their drool-inducing warehouse revealed Porsches, Aston Martins, Mercedes, Audis, BMWs, Volvos and Minis - most of them upgraded or limited edition models. I especially appreciated their upfront M.O., which is basically, "we are offering premium cars at discount prices, we're not a normal dealership with all that overhead, so we're not going to negotiate." Of course, everyone wants to negotiate the price on things down, but in my case, the car I wanted was already priced well below comparable models at other dealerships, and I knew that ultimately I was walking out of there with a fair deal. I want to give a special thanks to Brian, the salesperson who helped me through the process of acquiring my car. His upfront, easygoing attitude made me feel very comfortable with the dealership and the purchase, and his obvious enthusiasm for cars and for helping people came through clearly in our dealings together. I have only ever purchased new cars, so was secretly dreading purchasing a pre-owned vehicle. So, I called my ex-husband, the car collector and negotiating wizard. He turned me on to them and I was blown away by several things. 1) Appointment only. If you're serious and have done your homework, they're ready to work with you. 2) Price is firm. They say this before they'll even confirm an appointment. I respect this mindset. Again, it tells me we're here to do business, not take people on joyrides. 3) The two times I was there - once to see the car, the second to buy it - they were on time, the car was ready to see and be test driven and they took their time letting me look at others available - no pressure or sales BS. 4) They let you take it to a mechanic to be looked at! How can you argue with this? 5) When I was ready to buy, it was as easy as ordering take-out. Darya was fast, clear, professional. When I got in the freshly washed car, it was out of gas - they apoligized and sent me a gas reimbursement!! Truly, an exceptional experience. I absolutely recommend this dealer to anyone looking for a good quality, fairly priced pre-owned vehicle. And to reviewers who say "do your research," duh.
