Now I need to add, I ordered on the door dash app. What I learned is DoorDash is responsible for how the pizza/food turns out. NOT the establishment making the pizza. Apparently it was also responsible for only showing 1 topping when I clearly ordered 2 toppings. You might want to jot that down. First time here. Online search for pizza and they popped up. Clicked on their website site and saw some specials listed. I went with the small three topping pizza advertised for 12.75, and purchased the antipasto salad. Arrived to pick up the order and was given a price over ten dollars more than advertised. Showed the cashier "their own" web page with the advertised price and was told "we are not a corporate store so we do not honor that ad". I told her it wasn't a corporate web page but the page for the Nipomo store and again, told they won't honor the price. Deceptive advertising to get people in the door and price is not reflective of their web page. Pizza was just okay, certainly nothing special. Crust was a little dry and overcooked and it was lacking in sauce which made the pizza taste dry. Ingredients seemed fresh. Antipasto salad was tasty but again just okay. Had to throw out the hard artichoke hearts they tossed in, too chewy and stringy. Hardly anyone in the store on a Saturday night (to be honest tho, it was Easter weekend). Cant say I'll be back. We were driving on Highway 101 and nearing the town of Nipomo, California. Hubs realize that there was a Me-N-Ed's pizzeria in that town. He luvs Me-N-Ed's pizza. He told me it was similar to Shakey's pizza. I never had one, and totally game to try especially since I grew up devouring Shakey's pizzas. So while on the road, Hubs asked me to call in an order for a small pepperoni and sausage pizza with original California style crust. Other crust options were artisan thick, gluten free and cauliflower gluten free. The pizza was a thing of beauty. The bottom crust was a golden, crisp cracker like, and the edges were thin, puffed and crisp with gorgeous blistering. Lactose intolerant me took a pill and went to town. Ohhh delicious. And plus it had an all so lovely cheesy stretch. The menu includes other options: salads, calzones, sandwiches, pastas, and appetizers. The pizzeria is super close to the highway and easy to find. We have never been to this location. The dining room had lots of seating, able to accommodate large groups. They have an outdoor dining patio. The place is modern and clean. Excellent AC, it was nice n cool on a hot summer day. Family friendly casual vibes. Lots of TVs all over the place. In the back is a 80s type arcade area (flashback). The bathrooms were clean. The time they quoted that the pizza would be done was spot on. They offered condiments. I was provided paper plates when I asked. That's some service! Another fun thing I learned was that Me -N-Ed first opened back in the late 1950s in Sacramento, CA, by two buddies. But there is no Me- N-Ed's in or near Sacramento. read more

If you like California Cracker Crust Pizza, then this is your place. Located at the only 4-way light with businesses on every corner, is Me-n-Ed's. Service was decent, not a long wait. The pizza was slight fluff with the cracker crust, tangy sauce and blended cheese on top. They added a huge bar, mixed with the outdoor seating, this would be the go to place, that's right, even over Jacko's haha. Will be back. read more

Pretty cool place. The wings are fire, but they were stingy on the buffalo sauce. The pizza was okay not the best, but they hooked it up with the toppings. I don't like the fact that there was only one cashier, but instead of taking the orders on the long ass line in front of her, she took orders on the phone. As a resident of Nipomo, I know there is no shortage of people wanting a place to sit down and eat. Which is why I find it odd that there wouldn't be more effort in making this a great spot in town. The service is well below a minimal standard. The pizza was good... wings were cold at first (were replaced after something was said). Not sure why the garlic cheese bites were served in a to-go container with the lid on when we were eating in. Or why they came out after the pizza. From someone that understands hospitality fairly extensively, this place is lacking absolutely everything. All social media says it closes at 9:30, yet music and TVs were turned off at 8:45. The pizza here is great! However, this review is for the salad bar. I did not take a photo of the salad bar but every time we come the salad bar display is terrible. There are tiny flies flying on and all over the vegetables, usually the salad bar is running low on supplies with nobody filling it up, and the dressings are not cold and are not sitting on ice or refrigerated. I'm worried I will get sick from their salad bar and they really need to step it up and take better care of it. The selections/options are good but the quality is disgusting. read more

I've been to many of these locations in the pasts the pizza has always been decent. But the Nipomo location has to be the worse service I have ever experienced. I stopped in for lunch and after being the only one at the counter ready to order for over 20 minutes. With no one bothering to say a word to or acknowledge my presence. I started to walk out the door. Finally a young girl making pizza finally looked over and said they would be right with me. I should have left then and there. But I was very hungry and trying to be patient. I ordered and then waited for over 40 minutes for a personal pizza. I luckily did order the salad bar and with the empty left overs spread over the counter I was able to find a small about of salad that was edible. Now fully upset. Because of course my lunch break was over and still hungry. I watched as customers came in and left almost immediately after experiencing the same situation at the front counter. One of the employees dropped off what looked to be my order to another table that was obviously already done eating and walked away. The table called me over and asked if that was mine. I looked and said no. I looked over at the employee and asked if this was supposed to be mine. The yelled from the counter and said no it's the guy behind you. So I took it over to the customer that was also waiting. I guess I work here now. I sat back down and waited another 15 minutes for my pizza to come out. I spent over an hour and a half on site. So lucky the pizza was good... looking around most for the tables had left over food on them and very dirty. I keep seeing customers come in out because no one wanted to help them. Never going back. Me and Ed's pizza is a classic. I grew up eating it when I lived in the central valley. Coming to the me and Ed's here in Nipomo was just like stepping back to my childhood. The staff was friendly, helpful and new the menu very well. We ordered a family size pizza and a Stromboli as well. Both were delicious and prepared fresh. We had a thin crust pizza that was crispy and delicious. The Stromboli is almost like a mini calzone cut into pieces served with marinara sauce to dip. It comes with cheese pepperoni and wax peppers however you can get whatever you want inside. The service was fast and our food came out quickly. We also took a trip to the salad bar. Everything was fully stocked and very fresh. If you want ranch dressing you get it when you pay at the counter otherwise they have Caesar dressing and something else I can't quite remember there to pour on your salad. Extremely disappointing first visit experience at this location sat night. Manager sat us and seemed to be in charge however we watched him leave right after and the staff seemed very confused. Ordered lb of wings and received 1/2 lb cold. They took them back and brought back the lb we ordered which were very good. We ordered the garlic tots and they didn't seem to have any garlic. Our dinner partner had an even worse experience with his order. The worst part was they shut the music off at 45 min prior to closing. 10 min after they shut off the TVs which was about 35 prior to closing. We inquired to ensure their website was correct which the server confirmed. The supervisor (I would guess) stopped by table to see if we needed anything else so I inquired about the music being shut off which he stated he normally works morning shifts and didn't know the hours ?!?!?! Placed an order they took payment and when I used their tracking link it said it was in the kitchen, then ready for delivery. Then nothing so called and they tell me they never processed the order because they don't offer delivery anymore. Not sure what the point of putting in a phone number and email address for if they can't call and tell you that? Place has gone to hell and I definitely won't return. Terrible customer service.
