    a pizza in a box

The employees at Two Vatos Pizza are always friendly and kind. The pizza is alway delicious and fresh. I recently had my sons birthday party and the owner frequently checked in the make sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to assure we had a great event. My family and I will continue to show our support to this great establishment

Strolling around the small town of Guadalupe I spied a pizza sign! They were open too! Hallelujah! When we walked in the first question the nice guy at the counter asked was, are you tourists? Guess we are pretty darn obvious both of us with big Fuji cameras strapped to us, running around snapping pictures. Had to order my favorite toppings, pineapple with Canadian bacon. The pizza crust was obviously hand made. Soft supple crust, not too crunchy, not too thin, delicate flavor spot on. The pizza sauce was flavored nicely, not too spicy, not too plain, also super fresh. Cheese tasted like home made, very smooth lovely flavor. Toppings complemented the pizza perfectly. This is definitely one of the best pizza's I've had in a long time. They are true pizza guru's here at Two Guys. Just wish they were closer to me so I could stop by more often!!

Omgosh this pizza is so good! I am here for a youth football fundraiser; next time I come to town I'm coming back here!

While staying in Pismo with family, they wanted to take us to their favorite Italian restaurant and…read morewe chose to have dinner in the Cucina...they have another location right next door, which isn't as "fancy" as their sit down place. Tables covered with white linen as well as linen napkins, stepping up the ambiance. Our server, Maricella, was great, friendly, and very attentive. We started with their Caesar salad, which is made with fresh, largely torn romaine lettuce and covered with both grated and shaved parmesan cheese. There were a few crutons scattered and we opted to add anchovies to our salad. I also asked for extra dressing because typically salads don't come with much and I'm a dressing gal! Ok, so the salad itself was great and fresh and the anchovies were good and not greasy or fishy tasting. The dressing was an issue and I really didn't care for it. Wife said it was "ok" but we've had way better dressing elsewhere. She chose the Ravioli di Zucca, which was a butternut squash filled ravioli with a sage and parmesan cheese sauce. I thought it was a bit sweet but she liked it. I had the Linguine Vongole, which came with a housemade pasta that was more like a thick spaghetti noodle as opposed to the typical flat linguine noodle. The bowl was full of clams; found some to be a bit tough and overall I think the sauce could use a ton more lemon flavor! It was good but family had ordered the Nonna's Meatballs and that's where I would go! Something with their incredible marinara sauce because it is the bomb! Such a great balance of tang and sweet and just good flavor. I also want to talk about the bread and dip they serve at the beginning of the meal...oh my gosh! The bread is sliced super thin with a soft inside and that wonderful tuggy outter crust. The dip is a garlic (lots of it!) and olive oil mix that you can spread on the bread...ok, we ate a lot of this! Daughter also ordered the brussels sprouts, which were roasted to perfection and topped with pecans, goat cheese, and a honey Dijon vinaigrette. These were some of the best sprouts I've had! We shared the Spumoni for dessert, which was good and different! There was a layer of cake along with layers of chocolate, pistachio, and vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of the cherry sauce and sprinkle of mini chocolate chips. The dish is good and needs much more of that cherry sauce! Overall a good meal and next time we doing the Club instead...much less fancy and a smaller menu of offerings.

The bolognese was nice and hearty. The pizza had the perfect crust thickness and tasted even better when I baked it for dinner later in the day. The Involtini di Melanzane, eggplant creatively stuffed with angel hair pasta topped with a smoke scamora marinara sauce was such a pleasant surprise. I expected the angel hair on the side but actually stuffing it in the eggplant, gave it such a depth of flavor, it made me a fan of angel hair. The Salsiccie, oven roasted sausage that comes with 3 was a bit salty for me since it's just over cannellini beans. Having some pasta on the side may cut down on the saltiness.

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and both our waiter and the rest of the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. As soon as they noticed we had a child with us, our waiter immediately offered to set up a high chair, which was a thoughtful touch and made us feel well taken care of. When it came time to order drinks, I mentioned I was craving sweet tea. Although it wasn't on the menu, our waiter happily offered to make it for me. That level of hospitality truly stood out and made the experience even more enjoyable. My husband was in the mood for Italian food, while I wasn't initially craving it. However, after such excellent service, I decided to give the menu a closer look, and I'm so glad I did! The clam chowder was absolutely delicious without a doubt one of the best I've ever had. It's a must try! Overall, the food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the staff remained attentive throughout our meal. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be returning. We were quoted 45 minutes to an hour but ended up being seated after just 40 minutes, which was a pleasant surprise. The patio itself is absolutely beautiful with string lights overhead, lush greenery throughout, and such a cozy atmosphere for a summer evening. Our service was excellent from start to finish. Our waiter and his assistant were both incredibly attentive, checking on us often and making sure everything we needed was taken care of. The food came out hot, fresh, and beautifully prepared. I ordered the Ravioli di Zucca, filled with butternut squash, and it was rich and flavorful. My brother had the spinach gnocchi, and every dish at our table looked just as delicious. I also tried the Flirtini cocktail, which was light, refreshing, and perfectly finished with a fresh strawberry garnish. The only small thing that kept this experience from being absolutely perfect was that, despite several dogs dining on the patio, no water bowls were offered. We noticed the other dogs around us didn't have water either, so it seemed to be something they simply don't provide unless requested. It would be a thoughtful touch, especially since they welcome pups on the patio. Overall, we had another wonderful dinner at Giuseppe's. Between the beautiful patio, attentive service, and consistently delicious food, it's easy to see why we keep coming back. Our server, Maricella, was very pleasant and friendly and stopped by several times throughout our meal to check on us and see if we needed anything. We started with the Caesar Salad and added Spanish Anchovy. I was not a fan of the dressing unfortunately...found it to be bland and really not like other dressings I've had. The salad itself was fresh with large chunks of romaine lettuce, a sprinkle of both ground and shaved parmesan cheese and a few (just a few!) croutons. The anchovies were tasty, not fishy in the least, but it really was the dressing that turned me off. Wife said it was "ok". I decided on the Linguine Vongole and was surprised at how many whole clams were in my bowl! The pasta is housemade and not a flat linguine or more of a rugged thick spaghetti noodle. It was cooked well and the clams were good although a few were a bit tough. I also think the sauce needs a huge boost of lemon; I had also requested no chili flake be added. Wife had the Ravioli di Zucca, which was butternut squash filled pasta with a sage and parmesan cream sauce. It was good...although I felt it was sweet, she loved it. The sauce was creamy and flavorful and the pasta was soft and filled with a nice squash filling. We ended our dinner with a shared plate of Spumoni, which was like nothing we've had before. Their Spumoni is layered with a white cake-like layer and then the typical ice creams (chocolate, pistachio, and vanilla). There was a light squeeze of the cherry topping and small chocolate chips. It was good...needs much more of the cherry topping! Family had the Nonna's Meatballs and this was fabulous! Their sauce was sooo good and had a great balance of the tomato flavored marinara sauce. Really good and next time I'll stick with something with their marinara sauce. Good meal overall and I want to try Club next time.
