Played today, no food at the turn, 4pm! Clubhouse Bar closed at 6:20, but was listed as open until 6:30. Then were handled rudely by upstairs staff for sitting there past 6:30 hence. 1 star for Wedgewood food and beverage. So there is no 'club' feel before, at the turn or after, enjoy the golf and leave seems to be the overall opinion of my group. ( after many visits)

The driving range was pretty unique as it was hitting uphill. Although, the ball dispenser was a bit weird as I tried to buy a large bucket and it kept giving me small. The mats were nice considering it was outdoors and it also had rubber tees. The pro shop was nice and clean with a ton of clubs and merch to check out. Bought the obligatory souvenir ball. The pro shop guy was very nice and welcoming. The course itself was worth the drive. Great fairways all around. The roughs were in good shape too. The greens were superb. A bit fast since we did play in the afternoon but good for a challenge. Great views and hills to get good pictures for if you're like me and love photography. Ill be bringing my camera next time. The golf carts were good too and maintained. I wish they had the monitor gps but regardless it worked just fine. Would of gave the last star had there only been a beverage cart making rounds and the restaurant being open a bit longer since we weren't able to order any food. It's obvious that nobody is maintaining it, just like the older, completely ruined bathrooms downstairs. Who is running this place? Also, the older, gray haired guy who seems to "own" the place is a total jerk. As beginner/intermediates he was hitting up on us on the last few holes because he was in a rush with one of his coaching clients and said he wanted to get to lunch. He has no business being in his position as a coach/marshal or whatever he is, especially not on a municipal course.

This golf course is amongst the top three public courses in the area. It boasts a challenging…read morelayout, but not too challenging for the average golfer. It's well kept and reasonably priced. Plus it's mostly flat and thus very walkable. And it's quite scenic, located in a natural setting with water foul, and so many mature plants and trees. None of the holes are next to public roadways. So it's mostly quiet and serene. And I say mostly, because there is an airport next to the course so that does create some loud, intermittent, overhead noise particularly on holes 5-10. The staff does a great job in getting people out and are very friendly.

While I'm not a member, I have played many matches at this club over the years. And next to my…read moretennis club (Harbor Point), this is probably one of my favorite places to play in Marin. It's just a charming, off-the-beaten-path setting. Yet it's still close enough to downtown Mill Valley. The weather's always sunny. It never gets too windy. The courts are all well-maintained. The members are very Marin (but without the snooty attitude that you find at other clubs). They have a very cozy/casual clubhouse, complete with a full bar, kitchen, TV room, and ping pong table. It looks more like a camp clubhouse from the 70s. But that's kind of its charm. They have plenty of couches by the windows so you can watch matches on their two center courts while nursing a beer. Since it's a private club, they don't allow outside guests to purchase drinks (unless they're purchased by a member). I thought that was a bit strange. I even offered to pay cash, but they couldn't do it. However, for some reason, it was ok for me to pay by credit card (you figure that one out). That being said, the lady working the bar was very sweet and poured a tasty margarita. All in all, Mill Valley Tennis Club is a lovely addition to Marin County's recreational community, and I look forward to playing there again soon.

During the Coronavirus lockdown, most public parks and tennis courts have been shut down until…read morefurther notice. At many private tennis clubs, you can only play singles (not doubles) with family members or people in your household. Needless to say, I've been missing my favorite sport and mode of exercise. Then a friend introduced me to Granada Park in Corte Madera. Corte Madera residents are allowed to play here if they have a city-granted key to the property. Needless to say, this park has quickly become my tennis "speakeasy." I hadn't played at Granada Park in years, and I was immediately blown away by how pristine and well-maintained the courts were. The nets were fairly new; there were no cracks in the surface; or excess leaves or other schmutz you may typically find on public courts. In fact, this does not feel like a public court at all. It's hidden in the Corte Madera hills, just off Paradise Drive. And it's a hop/skip/and jump away from Granada School. It's like a suburban oasis sheltered by large trees with a spectacular view of Mt. Tamalpais. The only thing missing here is a water fountain (which I can't imagine is allowed anyway these days). So be sure to bring your own water bottle. The park also boasts a picnic area with benches, public grills and the like. Though I don't think those are currently open due to the Coronavirus lockdown either. Like I said, these courts are only accessible to Corte Madera residents with a key. So don't just swing by here expecting to pick up a match. You def gotta know somebody to be able to play here (so I'm very glad that I do!). Until the restrictions ease up on tennis and public parks, I'm gonna keep playing at Granada for as long as it's allowed, or until they kick me off the court.

I am not a student of College of Marin. I do however attend the Parks and Recreation games at the…read moresports fields on Campus. It seems to be the going thing for the young children who have soccer practice to clog both the mens and womens toilets in the bathroom out at the field. I suspect them because when there was no practice there was no issue. It does reflect poorly on the campus maintenance- or the planning party that allow the group to continue to hurt their facility. I do like the expansion of the parking lot for the softball field. The campus and the fields are nestled in a very beautiful spot with in the reserve and gives way to an abundance of deer.
