Food is good, staff is polite, but it continues to seem like people working food trucks lack the same common sense that those who work in brick and mortars do. If I place an order at 12, and happen to see someone place one at 1210, and somehow that person gets their food first, I'm gonna be pissed every time. I don't care if they ordered chicken tenders. That turnaround time is insane and is indicative of y'all having no order in the kitchen. Arrival and order time matter, you guys also need to figure out how to handle a lunch rush if you're going to park outside of a hospital that employs hundreds. Because juggling disrespectful Uber bikers picking up while utterly deleting someone's lunch hour by making them wait for their food is no way to get repeat customers. read more

Saw this food truck near my job, and I was in the mood to indulge today so I gave it a shot! I ordered the namesake sandwich - the Meatoss, along with an order of truffle fries. First off the sandwich is very messy so make sure you're not trying to eat this on the go. It's so juicy, with all the different sauces, basil sauce, chimichurri, and chipotle sauce, it was literally dripping as I ate. The chicken was tasty and was complimented very well by all the sauces! Overall a very tasty sandwich! The truffle fries did not disappoint. They season their fries with either Cajun spice, lemon pepper, or some sort of truffle seasoning. Very good! My only issues are that I took a bite that tasted like old chicken, but it was just that one bite luckily! Also there was a huge pile of raw meat just sitting there where they toss the fries with seasoning. That must be some sort of health/safety violation. However, I did see the guy change his gloves before tossing the fries, so that helps lol! The sandwich is massive, probably can't finish it in one sitting - I know I didn't! Editing to simplify my review: My review is based upon attempting to place two orders via EZCater.com. I have attempted to place two very large orders with them for my office and they're non responsive. The first time they accepted my order and never delivered. Buyers be aware of placing catering orders!! The owner instead of apologizing for any inconvenience or miscommunication, (not that I believe there was one) would rather dispute the legitimacy of my orders. As if, I am specifically targeting him for God knows why. My issue would certainly be with EZCater but both times I have had issues they tried to contact Meatoss MULTIPLE times. On BOTH occasions EZCater was forced to cancel my order due to lack of communication. I am NOT disputing that the orders were in fact cancelled that is how I got my money back! Unfortunately, via their service it does not allow you to place a review on cancelled orders so I'm leaving MY experience on their Yelp page, because it was in fact Meatoss that I attempted to do business with, and was unable to make contact with. I place corporate lunch orders 3xs a week for my company. I constantly rotate vendors and attempted TWO times to give them steady business. They failed. I had no clue they were a food truck and not a catering company until finding their Yelp page. My suggestion would be that they stick to serving from their food truck and leave large orders to more professional, customer service friendly caterers. I HAVE NO REASON TO FABRICATE FAKE/FALSE REVIEWS! I am leaving a review because I know I appreciate reviews and if they offer a service there should be a review reflecting experience with that aspect of their service for those that are interested. I come down to the food trucks every week and this was the first time I saw this truck there so I figured I'd give it a try. It was really crowded and had a long line so I expected to have a bit of a wait. Everyone on the truck was really friendly. I ordered the brisket sandwich and stepped to the side. Less than 15 minutes later I was on my way. The brisket sandwich is brisket, slaw, caramelized onions and chipotle sauce. The sandwich was delicious! First thing that caught my eye was the big portions of food in the platter - big cuts of juicy steak (I asked for medium rare), coleslaw, and crispy fries. The overall cost of this was $15 which I believe is a pretty good one considering the location (near Times Square) and the food. The steak was seasoned well and juicy and there was a good amount. I chose the sweet potato fries and they were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside and seasoned well too. I personally do not like coleslaw so I cannot speak on that. It was a little oily. Meatoss came to my company for catering, and I got a bowl with a salad base, potatoes, chicken kebab, chicken drumsticks, and coleslaw. Everything was super well-flavored. The chicken kebab meat was a bit dry, but the drumsticks were great! It was a LOT of food, but I don't know whether they usually give this much food. This truck has now opened my eyes on the food truck scene. I was never a fan of food truck, until I had Meatoss. I ordered the Texas style brisket sandwich, comes with caramelized onions, purple slaw, chipotle aioli and "smoked brisket." The roll was nice and soft. I really wanted the Chorizo platter, but sadly they ran out of chorizo for the day. No problem, I can get the mix grill platter for $15. Food was ready in about 10 mins, and came in a container that looked to be a bit small for $15, but hey if the food is good it's all good, right? Wrong in this case I'm afraid. My mix grill platter was 40% filled with red cabbage slaw, 30% with fries, and 30% with a mix of chicken and steak. The steak was cooked just the way I like my steak: medium rare. But it was extremely over seasoned. I could see the salt crystals on my steak, and I had to take a sip of water with every bite of the meat in order to wash down the salt. The chicken was also extremely salty, but even worse than that, the majority of it was actually undercooked. I had to throw out about half of the chicken due to how pink it was. Stop at this truck when you see it, the food is awesome!!!! The truck was at the Royal Palms shuffleboard club and provided food for 30 of our guests -- perfection. Sandwiches were super delicious, as were salads and sides (guacamole - empanadas - salsa)!! We also had a Meatoss platter - the meats were melt-in-your-mouth tender, deliciously seasoned and soooooo tasty and good. I grabbed a 3rd sandwich to go when our event ended and ate it on the way home - what a treat! On top of the great food - super great service! I have never tried a sandwich this good. I had Carnivore and my friend got Texas Style Brisket. The amount of meat in my sandwich got me shocked (see picture)! I can count on one hand how many times I've eaten food from a food truck, and because of the quality of my order with these guys at the Meatoss truck I will definitely increase the number of visits exponentially. I ordered the Meatoss Salad. It's a unique fresh salad with lettuces, corn, quinoa, peppers, beets, pickles and some of the nicest ripe tomato slices - topped with some sort of cilantro, a dressing and generous amounts of steak! I ordered my steak Medium Rare - yes, I live on the edge. They use REAL steak, nice quality and it was cooked medium rare to perfection. My order didn't take long to prepare, and the line wasn't very long at 12 noon... though it was starting to grow. It's real feel of 100 degrees outside today. In the mood for something new, I walk my 5 blocks down 6th to the trucks and quickly decide on something, I see the usual halal guys, halal boys, halal-halal carts, the juice dudes, the fusion Korean truck, same old stuff until I come across a shiny new black truck with big windows, rotisserie grill to the back. It looks gimmicky, lets see this menu - chorizo, smoked drumsticks, steak and chicken breast. I am intrigued, Chorizo and smoked drumsticks are a sure sign these guys know their protein. I ask about the salad - they say it is a mixed green bowl with corn, beets, tomato, quinoa with a protein topper, I hesitate and go for the steak, hoping it is not overcooked like all the rest. What I get is a very pretty, well constructed bowl. The roasted beats and ripe tomatoes line the bowl like a flower with the greens and corn underneath while the perfectly medium rare sirloin steak slices are curled and plated with a bit of chimichurri sauce in the middle. The whole presentation is top, something i'd expect at a much pricier sit down location. The flavor, freshness, quality of ingredients are all there. I hope they stick around, looking forward to coming back and trying the mixed grill platter, maybe on a Friday when I can handle that much food. read more

First time trying these guys and I was blown away. They were at Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club on Super Bowl Sunday. My wife and I both got the grilled chicken platter (rice, chicken, slaw), expecting it to be just ok. It was unbelievably delicious. I have absolutely no idea what flavoring they put in it, but both my wife and I said multiple times that it was one of the most delicious things we'd ever tasted. Where's the meat? Brisket sandwich had almost no meat on it. I opened both sides of the hero to look at what was in the sandwich after my first bite when I didn't bite into any brisket. There was like a tablespoon or two of tiny pieces of brisket total on the whole sandwich. Why would you chop up brisket into tiny little half inch pieces? Too much barbecue sauce on it to highlight the little amount of meat that was on it it was like the worst sloppy Joe I ever had except for the really good bread it was served on. I also ordered the sirloin steak sandwich and not only was the meat fatty and tough it was raw. My coworker and I throughout both sandwiches that we were splitting because they were that bad If I didn't walk five blocks to the truck and back and only have a half hour lunch I would've returned it to get my money back.
