Honestly one of the best matcha spots! This place is set up perfectly for beginner matcha enthusiasts to professional drinkers. Ranges from level 1-3. The cafe is also appealing to the eyes, so a great spot to also take your matcha photos. The only thing I'd want different is for a larger range of cup sizes . Price range is also great! Not over priced and great matcha quality.
Cravings for matcha satisfied! I went in thinking I'd get a hojicha latte, but the matcha banana pudding latte caught my eye. I'm not too into the ones that taste artificial, but gladly this latte's cream top did not taste artificial at all! It was creamy and smooth, and Ioved the addition of the biscoff crumbles. The lavender soft serve was also great-- it tasted like the honey lavender flavor from Sorry Not Sorry Creamery. My mom said the ceremonial grade matcha level 1 latte was on the lighter side, so she might try the level 2 or 3 next time. Wait wasn't too long even though it was packed inside. We used the self service kiosk and it's easy to search through the menu. It was a plus that it also had pictures and descriptions. The wall decorations were cute and nice to know that they sell matcha and hojicha powder. May give it a try the next time I come around!
I got the banana matcha with: almond milk Regular sweetness Upgrade to matcha level 2 3.5/5 for me since I feel like the matcha was still kinda watery for an upgrade. The banana flavor and biscoff top was nice. I prefer the foam to be a bit thicker though. Overall decent spot! Friendly service and good cafe to do some work if it doesn't get too crowded.
Always a delight to come here, I can rely on them for consistently good matcha! Good customer service and lots of great menu options, there is a difference between each ice cream matcha levels and I'd recommend 2 as it is less bitter and balanced. It is amazing to find a place that knows how to find a place that knows how to do matcha. After going to Japan, I've noticed only specialty matcha places really have their matcha down. I recommend this spot for all matcha critics and enthusiast!
The music playlist is always a vibe here. It's always clean and the customer service is top their. Now I haven't been home in a year so to come back to L.A. and the first place outside of El Pollo Loco being Meccha Matcha is always a must. The matcha here is always so good , and even the soft serve is top their. I need Dallas ,Texas to get it together because their Matcha preparation is lacking. Nevertheless I always look forward to coming home and having a Level 3 matcha
Pros: -Fast service -Rotating flavors keeps things interesting -Large menu with something for everyone...the have soft serve, red bean treats, matcha, and other creative sweets. -welcoming ambiance with many tables to enjoy your treat inside -local Cambodian business integral to the Long Beach community. Cons: -Price. Admittedly, this is a rare occasion location considering the higher prices. As you increase your match level, the price goes up by $1, so keep that in mind. -Lack of ability to sample ice cream flavors before deciding what to order. Personally, I think it's a societal norm for ice cream, gelato, and soft serve places to allow their customers sample the flavors. Unfortunately, we got different flavors to try the levels of matcha but we weren't happy with Level 3 despite being avid matcha lovers. I'd recommend Level 1 or 2.
We were looking for Green Tea ice cream and stumbled on this spot that was pretty popular. We walked in and saw that most people were ordering using the tablet. They had a variety of Ube specials. But, we went with the level 1 matcha softserve mix with the flavor of the day which was Jasmine. After ordering on the tablet, our wait was less than 5 minutes. It was pretty busy and a bit small inside. So, we took our soft serve to go. Absolutely worth a visit!
What a delicious little place ! I was worried that they wouldn't have any caffeine free options but they have plenty. You can order at the front or the kiosk which is nice. I got the Hojicha Soft Serve and Coco Ube. It was my first time trying Hojicha and its nutty flavor is beautiful. The coconut in the Coco Ube tasted so fresh, definitely my favorite. I can't wait to come back to try more !
Located off Artesia Bl in Artesia. The parking is shared with the other businesses in the little strip mall area. The place is not too big a few tables but not much room when it gets busy inside. You place your order from the kiosk. I got the strawberry oat matcha. It was good. The staff were pretty quick. Overall a nice spot for matcha stuff. I would get the drink again.
The customer service was awesome! The employees knew what they were talking about and explained the differences between the numbers which corresponds to the intensity of the matcha (caffeine) I ordered the highest which is 3 and it was delicious! The authentic taste of the matcha really stood out and the sweetness to it was a perfect blend! It just wasn't a sugary "green drink"! I will definitely be a regular here!!
The Matcha latte here is pretty good, is probably one of my favorites or top favorites in this area. The price is fair, given the current market conditions. Self ordering is really straightforward, and the service is fairly quick. I had no issues with the ordering process, and definitely enjoyed the matcha latte even more. The shop is fairly small, with a couple of tables, and the parking lot is reasonable with spacing.
My first time here but this is one of my niece's go to when in the area. The place itself was pretty busy but the line moves fast. I ordered the matcha vanilla oat latte. It wasn't too sweet and the matcha was not lost in the vanilla and oat milk. It was a refreshing drink that I can keep drinking all day long. The place was busy but clean. We placed our order on the kiosk and the people who gave us our our was super nice.
I'm a new regular at this place and I feel so guilty about it. I don't identify as a matcha person, but damn lately I wish I could come here everyday. The drinks a so delicious! And do you see this matcha peach ice cream dripping in condensed milk?! It's so pervy. The people are sweet. There's WiFi and there's a perfect quiet corner I like to post up in. The decor is basic and nothing to write home about. The bathroom is clean. Ok bye.
High quality matcha they have such a wide variety of matcha drinks and desserts!! I got the strawberry oat matcha and my friend got the white chocolate matcha :) I dropped by with a group of 15 and every person I asked liked their drink - you can't go wrong with any drink here. UGHHH!! idek how many times we've been to mecca matcha, I've truly lost count!! THE ULTIMATE GO TO MATCHA PLACE! I absolutely swear it. Desserts? Drinks? Cakes for special occasions?! You name it. Every week they do have different flavors in addition to matcha!! So don't worry if your matcha lover friend takes you here & you don't know what to get. BTW! They have different levels of matcha too just in case you're feelin risky & want a deep matcha flavor! Also even though they may seem busy with a lot of customers, their service is still somehow quick!! Today I witnessed such a wholesome experience too. There was this girl that wanted to try a level 2 or 3 matcha but didn't enjoy it, so she asked the server is she could kindly switch it out for the level 1, she happily obliged. My favorite Matcha dessert place right now! If you're a fan of matcha, Meccha Matcha is the spot to satisfy your cravings! Their matcha ice cream is the perfect balance of strong, almost bitter matcha with just the right amount of creamy texture--definitely not too sweet, which is a huge plus for me. I also love that they provide the caffeine content for each level (a scoop of Level 3 packs 355mg!), which was helpful since it was after noon. I personally got level 1. We also tried the matcha chocolate chip cookie, and it was exactly as promised: the perfect blend of chewy and soft. The shop is small and very welcoming, but the matcha offerings are big in flavor, and the staff is always super friendly, ready to explain and suggest the right matcha level for your taste. While seating can be tough during busy times, it's a great spot for a quick, delicious matcha fix. Definitely coming back to try more! read more
Meccha Matcha is a cute little matcha shop on the corner of Artesia and Pioneer near the 91 freeway. I tried the strawberry matcha latte and loved it! I would highly recommend. They serve different matcha drinks and soft serve ice cream. This place has tables inside the drink spot and free parking right in front of the entrance. You order your drink or snack on tablets near the counter, so you don't interact much with the staff. I would recommend this place to other people. read more
It's a small, but cozy shop. Walking in, there are two self serve ordering station. You can also order at the counter. They have a weekly ice cream flavor and they're known for their matcha ice cream that comes in three different intensities; level 1, 2, and 3. The service is fast and the staff is friendly. But most importantly the ice cream is delicious, especially so if you don't matcha. I'd recommend you check it out! read more
One of my favorite matcha and ice cream shops. I've been here many many times and I never feel disappointed. My favorite thing to get here is of course the matcha ice cream, specifically soft serve. I've tried level 3 matcha and even level 5 (which is good gets a little too powdery) but my preferred is ultimately level 1 matcha. I love getting it swirled with whatever other flavor they have in the week. Most recently I tried it swirled with the lavender flavor, which was surprisingly great and paired well. Lavender wasn't too strong on the floralness, more creamy. The parfait here is great too! Reminds me of what I had in Japan. The price point is a little high for soft serve, like $7-8, but I forget that when I get my ice cream, I'm always happy with it. Scoops are cheaper at like $4-5. The service is always so friendly and kind, and it's a cute shop to chill inside and eat your ice cream or have your drink. This has become somewhat of a comfort spot for me and will probably always have a place in my heart. read more
Plenty of parking spots and indoor seatings available. Cute wall arts and decorations. Staffs were really friendly; they patiently explained the the flavor profile of each matcha level and each menu item. Out of all the items I've tried at Meccha Matcha, my personal favorite is the matcha soft serve in cone. I'm not a huge fan of matcha with anko so I was not impressed by the shave ice nor the parfait. As for the matcha latte, it was good but it does not stand out from all the other matcha lattes I've tried in the area. Overall, I would recommend this shop if you dig matcha (and the matcha and anko combo). Remember to visit on the weekends too if you are looking to try out the level 2 or level 3 Matcha. read more
My obsession with matcha might be bordering on unhealthy. I desperately wanted the Level 5 Matcha Latte but they didn't offer it when I went so I went with the highest that they had: Matcha Level 3. It was still pretty rich and creamy but I could definitely go higher so I'm excited for when it returns again this year. I also love that they have seasonal drinks by adding a twist to the classic matcha latte My friend also let me try the Matcha Level 3 Soft Serve and it was also really creamy and rich. The deep green color was a good indication that they use quality matcha. Again, I will always and forever aim for the highest level offered for matcha so when they have Level 5, you'll see me back here asap. read more

I love ice cream! Especially if it's matcha! Everything was delicious and hit the spot. It's a cute little place to grab drinks and dessert with friends or a loved one. I would highly recommend trying their desserts. Next time I come I will have to get some drinks for myself. read more
I never tried graded matcha but I enjoy matcha so it tried the grade 3 matcha. Oh man, I'm a big fan. If you like the matcha semi-bitter/sweet taste and not light or watered down matcha, then grade 3 is to go! Added to my favorite spots for matcha ice cream read more

I drove by this place many times and finally decided to give it a try. The matcha ice cream was really good. It was creamy and fully of matcha flavor. It was pricey too. I paid $8.60 for a cup. I am absolutely in love with Meccha Matcha and actually craving it now. Located in a strip mall is a tiny cafe called Meccha Matcha. With their matcha imported from Japan, you know you will be getting fresh, authentic matcha with 3 levels to choose from. We had the Meccha Parfait for $10 and boy was it delicious, the sweetness, mixed with tartness, mixed with all the other delicious treats within the soft serve was so satisfying. Although you can pay more to increase the level of matcha, I found it a bit disappointing that their level one isn't on par with other stronger matcha stores. I got the black sesame matcha and it wasn't as strong or rich tasting as I would have liked - maybe there was too much ice? It wasn't too busy on a Friday afternoon and there was plenty of space to study or chat. I would like to come by and try their matcha soft serve sometime, but if you're a matcha fan, you may have to order everything at a level 3! read more

One of the best matcha shops in SoCal, no debate! This is a great place to study, get some work done, or just chill with some homies. They have an extensive menu of matcha drinks, ice cream, cookies, and more! The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. They are all knowledgeable about the menu items and willing to offer suggestions. The matcha comes in different levels with 1 being the lowest/least strong while 3 is the highest/strongest matcha taste. Wifey and I stopped by to try some of the newest summer menu items and everything was refreshing and delicious! Definitely stay connected with their social media to get the latest announcements and news about their menu. read more
My cousins are matcha connoisseurs and frequent this place. It's a cute little cafe, modern, with minimal seating. The employees are great, they were patient with us and gave us recommendations. Up until I came to this place, I didn't know there are different levels of intensity for matcha. The drink is just so so (5/10). It's probably just because of that one person making my order. The person screwed up my order. She was just doing whatever and doesn't really care of the items she made. I carefully selected the beverage I want to have and paying a premium price for the ube and oat milk but she gave me their cheapest item instead. So be careful when ordering and paying the additional extra charges that they didn't add to your order. This place is heaven for matcha lovers. I love the matcha level 3 soft serve. It's available only on fri-sun. In my opinion, it is still not strong enough for me hahaha. Level 3 soft serve has 255mg caffeine which is equivalent to 3.5 espresso shots and I need 3-6 espresso shots daily LOL. I have only tried the matcha soft serve here and cant wait to go back to try their matcha drinks. read more

we went to this place cause our friends recommended it and it did not disappoint! it was very yummy and the yuzu w/ matcha soft serve was a match made in heaven. the matcha drink was good as well. the place does not have much seating so if you go at a busy time you may not have a spot to sit. read more

Always love coming here for a matcha fix. Service is always friendly and the place is a clean relaxing spot to enjoy a dessert or drink with a lot of seating. I always get an iced unsweetened level 1 matcha soy- delicious and not so sweet so you can actually enjoy the matcha flavor more, their cookies are also so addictive! Another good matcha place. Nice drink with different level of Matcha, on weekend only. You can taste the different bitterness of matcha. They even show you the caffeine level. From regular Level 1 sweet to bitter Level 3. One special they have is Matcha Shaved Ice. Nice in this warm weather. They're using Okabe Matcha. Place is at the corner, nice small hang out. No wifi. Meccha Matcha was a fun spot! Although the parking lot is getting renovated, which made it odd to park, it was still worth! The simple and yet informative decor was fun. Foodwise, I enjoyed the ice cream, but it is definitely on the pricier side. The two drinks were amazing, and I definitely enjoy the level tiers as that's fairly unique! I was going to get Starbucks for midday pick me up, but I came across this place. Pretty good place if you're craving matcha or want to avoid coffee. They have 3 levels of intensity, the higher the level the higher the caffeine content. They were pretty busy when I went but they were going orders out very quickly. They have a cashier taking orders or you can order from the tablet. The place is pretty small inside so a lot of people were standing waiting on their order, but it's a nice place if you want to sit and do some studying. I ordered ice cream for my parents, me and my sister got a strawberry matcha latte and we shared an Uber and matcha soft serve. read more

saw a reel that advertised the matcha level ice cream and i had to try it as a matcha lover. went around the beginning of march so i'm not sure if they still offer level 3 but they do have options of level 1-2. it definitely had a bitter but creamy taste, i shared the matcha scoop so i didn't feel too overwhelmed eating it. i like how they mentioned the amount of matcha in the ice cream (425 mg). we had the ice cream first and then tried the black sesame drink, which wasn't the best idea since the ice cream was so strong in flavor that we couldn't really taste the drink lol. wish i lived closer so i can explore more of their menu, but i would def come back (: read more
When we walked in, my friend and I were really excited to try this place. The interior here is really cute with the green balloon arch and neon sign. The bathroom is very clean. You order via the tablet. The menu needs a revamp. We were getting confused by the layout and what we should order. I wanted ice cream or soft serve and it took me a while to figure out what they had to offer. Our order came out quickly. My friend and I were really excited for the matcha parfait, but unfortunately, we left very disappointed. The matcha level 1 soft serve barely tasted like it had matcha, wasn't sweet enough, and was hollow at the top of the swirl. The mochi and matcha jelly were bland. The matcha cake was our favorite topping on this parfait. read more

Yes! They have the Matcha Paradise and Matcha Lover. Both are made with matcha and spinach, the paradise with mint and matcha jelly and the Lover with red beans. They also have shaved ice!
