I've tried their iced matcha lattes here a few times and they always hit! I love that they have so many options and let you customize the matcha levels, my favorite are the oat vanilla and strawberry. I always do level two and the drinks have the perfect matcha taste which is really hard to find. The service here is always super friendly and because the cafe is small they are always quick with the drinks! I am only leaving four stars because I do think they're a bit overpriced, I paid $16 for two matchas yesterday which is a bit ridiculous. They're definitely drinks I wouldn't get often because of that but maybe every once in a while. read more

The shop is small with limited seats. The level 3 matcha ice cream is no joke. If you LOVE matcha you're going to be in matcha heaven. The flavor is so earthy without being gritty. The parfait toppings weren't as good quality the cake and mochi balls were a bit hard and I didn't think the strawberry drizzle paired that well. Red bean paste and matcha jelly was great though. Next time I would probably just get the soft serve no toppings. Also if you're sensitive to caffeine be warned that the higher levels have more caffeine. I felt like I could climb the walls after this :) read more

Ooooooohhhh soooooo goooooooood! I happened to stumble upon this gem when I was picking up food in the same plaza. So glad I did! I ordered their matcha strawberry matcha! Ooooooweeeeee it was delicious! I brought one back for the husband and he loved it too, he doesn't even like matcha! Upon arrival I was greeted by two of the workers and they were super patient with my questions about their drinks. Drinks came out super fast! They have different levels for their matcha. My next visit I'll upgrade to a level 2 or 3 for a more intense matcha flavor. I think I'll try the regular matcha latte next time unsweetened to get the full matcha experience. Parking is plentiful so another plus! Can't wait to come back! read more

Whew I have been to Meccha Matcha a handful of occasions and each drink and item has been great, both their drinks and desserts I've tried have all been fire. Items that I have tried: -Hojicha tea -Matcha vanilla oat latte -(I think at some point they had a cereal drink under their signatures/specials) -MP3 ice cream All have been great, especially the panda ice cream. The texture of the ice cream was amazing and the matcha 3 was delicious. I have nothing bad to say about this spot however I wish the higher level matchas were cheaper :-( but I digress. All in all, you can't go wrong ordering any of Meccha Matcha's drinks or desserts. Definitely am excited to come back to try more of the menu! read more

Matcha is in the name of the place but I didn't taste that in my drinks and dessert. The person behind the register was very friendly and recommended to try the Ube Matcha Cake (his favorite) and the matcha drinks. I got the Vanilla Oat Matcha Latte and I was very disappointed. It was disgustingly sweet and had no matcha flavor. The cake was also just coffee cake with purple and green dye or what they advertise as "ube & matcha". I don't recommend trying these items at all. My friend got the strawberry matcha and she said she wouldn't get it again. The place is also pretty small and the tables are uneven which makes it hard to set down your food items. It is very hot inside as they only have a tiny fan in the corner making it even harder to try to convince yourself that you like the food. read more

You've gotta try the panda matcha ice cream if you're here! It's matcha ice cream with oreos. Great pairing. Their ice cream and soft serve themselves aren't that creamy but their matcha flavor is good. I've also tried a strawberry matcha latte from here. The matcha wasn't as strong as I'd hoped and the strawberry syrup was more sweet than tart (more artificial than fresh). They have a variety of baked goods that rotate so I've found it's not always a guarantee that what is online will be there in person. read more

Meccha Matcha hits the spot when I'm craving a matcha dessert. It's a small shop that packs a big punch. It's located in the plaza across the street from Stater Bros. You shouldn't have any issue finding parking. Shop's usually not too busy, so you get your order really quick. Staff is friendly and can walk you through the menu if you have any questions. This time around I got the Yuzu Ice Blended float with matcha ice cream. It was super refreshing - the yuzu and matcha go really well together. The portion size of the items here is usually a little more than I can finish, so you definitely get your money's worth. I've also tried the signature drinks here, haven't ordered something I didn't enjoy. Gotta come back sometime to try the shaved ice and the parfaits. Overall a cute spot and will definitely be coming back again. read more

Came here at 11:45am on a Saturday. They were pretty much out of a lot of things. Out of matcha ice cream. I tried to order the other ice cream, but they were out of cones. Also, they don't let you sample the ice cream if you wanted to try pandan, coconut, UBE, and black sesame flavor. read more

This place is way overpriced. The latte was so disapointing. It's $2.50 EXTRA on top of the ~$7 the latte costs for ceremonial grade. Most good matcha places already have ceremonial grade without having to add it. We also wanted oatmilk but that was $1 extra. It would have cost about $11 which is way overpriced. We decided to try it in case it was good but it tasted very watered down ans the matcha flavor barely came through. We got a level 1 matcha so I'm not sure if a level 1 is less flavor but I don't think that should be the case. I really recommend Bopomofo. Great matcha that's already ceremonial grade for $7 no catches. The flavor lacked and its overpriced. I didn't interact with the staff but they seemed friendly. read more

i love this place but i just got a matcha lavender and it tasted like just lavender milk with not much of a hint of matcha.. I figured once I saw the color and mixed it. My friend mentioned this matcha cafe after we enjoyed some in Little Tokyo, as it's one she likes to visit closer to home. We decided to go over after lunch/dinner and a walk around Cerritos Park. It's in a small plaza on the far right side. The location is small and quaint - maybe if you managed to beat the crowds, you could sit and enjoy a matcha item while working. It was pretty quiet when we arrived around 6 PM and it picked up as we started to finish our items. There isn't a ton of parking - since the spots are shared with other businesses, you could either have trouble finding a spot or will find one, depending on when you go. The two staff members working there that day were polite and worked quickly to get orders out to customers. My friend got a yuzu matcha float with the level 3 strength matcha soft serve. I wanted the level 2 matcha soft serve, but one of the staff members apologized and explained their machine wasn't working to properly dispense the level 2 soft serve today. I went with the level 3 instead. They're very generous with the sizes for the soft serve - there's only one size available, but you get a lot for what you paid for. If you go on the weekend, they offer the level 2 and level 3 soft serve to enjoy, but during the week, they only offer level 1. Level 3 is very full-bodied - you can clearly taste the matcha flavor, but it isn't bitter. (To me, it's good if you complain about other places offering a weak or watered down matcha flavor to appease the masses.) Definitely would advise you to consume way before bed if you're sensitive to caffeine in the evening if you do a level 3 as it's strong. Consistency is very smooth and not overly sweet. read more

My go to for lattes they have everything matcha here from drinks to cookies, ice cream and even affogatos. The matcha here is ceremonial grade and you can taste how premium / high quality the matcha is. Drinks are a bit on the pricier end esp if you make subs (e.g almond milk) but in this economy what isn't pricey so it's worth it Service is pretty quick and I believe they have wifi here for a quick study/work spot read more

I love matcha and I'm so glad I found this place on Yelp! They have 3 levels of matcha here and ofcourse I went with level 3! I got the matcha soft serve and my friend got the level 2 scoop. The scoop had more of an icy texture but the soft serve is amazingly smooth. Honestly it was kinda too much for me because of the caffeine level and I'm very sensitive to caffeine. I had a terrible nights sleep even tho we had this at around 1pm. However, it's still really good and if you love matcha you will love this place. I will say that it is pricey but you pay for what you get. read more

I was a little worried because it was packed but the speed of service was great ! Also , the servers were very friendly with questions I had since I was confused about the level options they had. I got a level 2 matcha iced latte and from the first sip I could tell it was premium quality. They also sell high quality matcha if you want to make some at home , the ambience was so chill. I was recommended this place by my sister for dessert so I had to check it out with the family. It's located in a strip mall with plenty of parking. There's a good amount of seating inside for those that wish to hang out or get some work done. I was torn between the level 2 and 3 but decided on the matcha level 2 soft serve (available only fri-sun). The soft serve had great consistency and definitely packed matcha flavor. I think next time I'll try the level 3. You can either order on the little iPad looking machine or at the counter. The staff were quick and friendly even though the line was almost to the door. One of the best matcha lattes that I've had in the area! I like how there are multiple levels of intensity for the matcha and a good amount of variety in menu items (soft serve, floats, lattes, matcha snacks - they tend to sell out of the snacks early though). Milk alternatives are also available. Service was friendly and there were only a few tables inside. I arrived around 3pm on a Saturday and there was a small line at the front. I ordered a level 2 iced matcha latte with regular milk. The matcha flavor was nice, rich, balanced, and sliightly floral in my opinion. I personally like my matcha strong, so level 2 was perfect for a mid-day treat. I'll be back next time to try level 3 and their soft serve! read more

7/17/2022 MATCHA ESPRESSO Really wanted a matcha espresso so while I was in the neighborhood, wanted to give this place a try. The coffee was a bit lukewarm, which is why the whole drink wasn't icy cold, even with the ice cubes in them. Overall, the flavor combo was not great. The espresso was overpowering the whole drink and with both bitter flavors of matcha and espresso - it was a very bitter drink that I could not finish. Was NOT good at all. MATCHA ALMOND BLACK SESAME LATTE When it's not mixed, you can taste the black sesame that's sitting on the bottom. They used some pre-made black sesame thing, so you can feel these small round chunks or balls of black sesame, yet it was a weirdly smooth texture that felt like fake black sesame. It was off-putting to me. Once this drink is mixed all the way through, you can only taste the matcha. No hint of black sesame. Japanese matcha bitter flavor came through strong. However, this drink tasted better and had a cleaner flavor over the Matcha Espresso. MATCHA CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE **Must-Try! The best thing here! Light, crispy texture. The texture of cookie really made it pleasant to eat. This cookie would not have worked with a soft cookie. The bitter matcha flavors came through and the choco chip added that sweetness overall. Loved it! Beautiful marriage of Japanese Matcha & Chocolate! Wish the cookie was larger, as it was small enough to fit inside your palm. But that's the beauty of this cookie. The smaller size cookie makes you want more of it! Wish I could get the recipe. CUSTOMER SERVICE Ordered in-person. Only two workers. Service was slow. My drinks came out AFTER the person behind me got their order. This person did not place their order right after me either. So the wait time felt long! Meccha Matcha is by far the favorite matcha place that I visit in OC. Their drinks are definitely the best, with their matcha being the obvious winner. My favorite is the white chocolate matcha latte which I think is so friggen good. I always want to try their ice creams but that'll be for my next visit! Place has good parking and interior has nice spacing for those who want to work! Workers are fast and kind! read more

A great place for matcha lovers! The inside was very aesthetic with cute wall decor. There were a couple of tables, but enough space to sit and chat with friends. There are 3 levels of matcha intensity, but for a limited time, there is the level 5 matcha (the strongest matcha in America), which is exciting but does contain lots of caffeine. Try this if you love matcha and are okay with staying up the night haha. Came on a Saturday afternoon and ordering was simple. You use the ordering kiosk but you can ask a staff member questions if you need to. My party got the level 5 matcha in a cone, and the yuzu ice blended float with mixed swirl matcha ice cream. The mixed swirl is level 1 matcha with their flavor of the week (this week was vanilla!) that changes every Wednesday. The level 5 matcha was definitely strong, and for me, was a bit bitter, so I didn't like it that much. The yuzu ice blended was so good though, and the cup was a good size! I wasn't sure if matcha and yuzu went well together, but it did! The yuzu was very refreshing, perfect for a summer treat (even though it's not currently summer but still good), and it complements with the sweet matcha and vanilla ice cream (it was a bit sad though that the ice cream was a bit lopsided). I also love the yuzu bits, which they put a lot of. I could tell their matcha is high-quality, especially coming all the way from Japan! Overall, I will definitely come back to try more of their matcha desserts! If you love matcha, be sure to check this place out :) read more

I was around the area, and have been in a matcha craze lately, so I ended up going here. I don't regret it, I just wish they had more locations. First impressions were above average, it was a small spot in a small plaza so parking there might be iffy on a busy day. But service made up for it as my order came out super fast! The staff seems kind & were helpful! The iced matcha drink I got was delicious, right amount of sweetness/richness, and refreshing! They had so many other things I wanted to try in the menu, so I'd definitely recommend coming back. read more

They had a "Brewed and Bold" offering as part of their seasonal menu so we decided to get the Black Sesame Cookies and Cream, Thai Tea Buttercrunch, Matchaberry Brownie, and their Hojicha Chip. The ice cream flavors were subtle but so delicious and refreshing. I can't wait to come back and try more of their flavors. Parking can be a bit tough depending on the time of day as it's in a busy plaza shared with other eateries, but thankfully we were able to snag a spot within a few minutes.

For the savory side, the **Chicken Empanadas** and **Fried Lumpia** always hit the spot. And of course, there's the **Turon**. Yes, the price has risen to $1.05 a piece, but honestly? We called multiple times to confirm our order, and the staff who answered assured us not to worry because they had plenty available and that our order would be ready when we arrived. When we got there, the exact opposite happened. We were told they had run out of turon and that we would need to wait another hour. While discussing the situation with the cashier, we watched another staff member assist the customer behind us, who purchased 60 pieces. We had preordered only 30 pieces, yet somehow they were able to fulfill that larger order while failing to honor ours. Poor customer service will eventually drive customers away. Yes, the product is excellent, but there will come a time when the product alone is no longer enough to keep customers coming back. Given the popularity of their business, they should be focusing on improving their customer service and honoring preorders to maintain customer loyalty. Good products attract customers, but good service keeps them.

There were still multiple customers inside, and one even sarcastically yelled back "SORRY" in response to how the situation was handled. My friend and I were already cleaning up and heading out. The poor attitude wasn't limited to closing time. Even asking a simple question about a milk tea seemed to be an inconvenience. Customer service felt unfriendly and unwelcoming throughout the visit.
