I've been here a few times .and the lines are pretty decent not too long. However they do need more than one cashier. I do recommend getting the coffee ice cream I need to stick to 1scoop of ice cream as 2 is too much for me

First timer! Lots of parking. This is an outdoor ice cream shop with outdoor seating (which were clean). Quick service. The young lady who assisted us was very friendly and helpful. She offered some samples and gave great recs. We really enjoyed the strawberry cheesecake, pineapple upside down cake, southern banana puddin', and graham central station.

I love going to the Bruster's in Artesia because they have specials advertised on their Instagram and they have friendly service. I like to try their seasonal flavors and my favorite is the Strawberry Matcha ice cream, it's so good! They have an app as well, but I'm afraid if I download it that I'll be there everyday. Lol! We usually can find a place to sit as most people order to go.

Oh, how I love ice cream. I stop quite often at Bruster's Real Ice Cream. The shop is located at a corner of the street next to the school. The shop is pretty small and there are some seats outside if you want to enjoy your ice cream there. I usually came late at night and the line is long some time. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. I got coffee oreo and strawberry cheesecake. The ice cream was smooth, creamy and not too sweet. The rich flavor of coffee with chucks of oreo was a gooc combination. The strawberry cheesecake was light and delicious. The strawberries gave the ice cream a bit of brightness and that contracted well with the bit denser part of the cheesecake chunks. I really love how they balance so well. I will be definitely coming back.

Went back to Bruster's the other day and got coffee and vanilla in a waffle cone. It was honestly some of the fluffiest ice cream I've had in a while -- super smooth and light. Both flavors were delicious on their own and even better together. The waffle cone was fresh and crisp, which made it the perfect treat. Simple, classic, and done really well. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to when I'm craving ice cream.

I always drive past this place, and I decided to stop by today! The line was quite long, but I guess everyone was also thinking the same thing as me... that it was the perfect time for some ice cream. The total time it took for me to get my ice cream was about 20 minutes. I'd say that was pretty good considering there were only about 3 people working and the line was about 10 people long. The staff was super nice and had a super friendly attitude. I ordered the small waffle cone (and asked for a cup since I was driving). I got the mocha almond fudge and the coffee with Oreos. The ice cream was super creamy and not too overwhelmingly sweet. The waffle cone was super thin and light, and it was also really crispy. Definitely have and will come back again!

Why did I sleep on this place for so long?! Such a fun little local spot that gives old-school, drive-thru vibes. You just walk up, order at the counter, & enjoy your ice cream right outside! I got the small cup which comes with 2 scoops. I chose cookies & cream w/ Oreo + Graham Central Station which was soooo good. As you can tell I love the cookie vibes. Sweet, creamy, & just the right amount of graham crunch. My doggy was living her best life too! Perfect spot for a warm day, can't wait to come back & try more flavors! It does get busy at night or the weekends, esp during the summer time!

The ice cream is really soft! It was really good. Only think my fiance complained about was these were hardly and marshmallows in the rocky road . The server was nice! The outside seatting is whatever sitting in your car is probably better to sit. But it was good ice-cream!

I'm a sucker for ice cream so when I have a craving for it, this is our local go to spot to satisfy my sweet tooth. So many flavors and I like the ice cream consistency, reminds me of gelato. Creamy, sweet, and delicious. I ordered a small so it comes with two scoops. I went with the southern banana pudding and strawberry, both flavors were amazing. Service was great the girl who helped us was sweet, helpful, and efficient. She gave us a generous amount. Ambiance is nice, order at the window, pay for it, pick it up and enjoy your treat at the outside tables. Will be hitting this place during the summer months!

Update: They're no longer affiliated with Fivestars!…read more I've since gone two additional times to try their waffle bites. My last trip was kind of spontaneous because I suddenly got a Fivestars reward that day for these waffle bites. However, when I arrived, I was looking for the Fivestars tablet only to be met by a Clover tablet instead. It felt like I went through a time warp because the employee working behind the register didn't seem to have any idea what I was trying to say regarding Fivestars, though he did notice a little trifold card on the front counter mentioning Fivestars. I asked if he could get his manager so I could explain, and even show, him my Fivestars reward. The reward said "already accepted", which he almost thought meant I had redeemed it already, but if that were the case, then it would have said "already redeemed". Given that they've now done away with Fivestars, I'm not too surprised he may have gotten the words "accepted" confused with "redeemed", but luckily, he was happy enough to honor it for me. The employee who assisted me was very helpful, though he did ask me to repeat the topping and the drizzle that I wanted. I chose the Strawberry Cheesecake flavor ice cream with Fruity Pebbles toppings and a Strawberry drizzle on top. Since I had already tried the cookie flavors before, I figured I'd try the fruity flavors this time around. He said he needed about 5 minutes to prepare my waffle bites, which were presented a little different than last time. Last time, I got the Cookie Butter flavor with *Cookie* Crisp and Peanut *Butter* (see what I did there?), and it came in a small plastic takeout container. This one came in a large plastic cup, and I'm thinking the logistics may have changed a ton between my last two visits. I did appreciate how the employee asked if I wanted the waffles on top of or beneath the ice cream before making the waffle bites; I chose on top. He also asked if I'd like powdered sugar on top, to which I agreed. Unfortunately, neither of the waffle bites I got from my last two visits impressed me that much. As a matter of fact, the only thing that impressed me was the strawberry drizzle. Everything else fell kind of flat. While generous in size for the $8 price tag, the Cookie Butter and the Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream didn't really taste like these flavors at all! For whatever reason, the peanut butter didn't add much flavor, but the strawberry drizzle added a lot! How even?! In short, the waffle bites weren't that much of an upgrade from the ice cream scoop that I had on my first visit. I'm willing to say "too much good was no good" here. The waffles themselves were good, but they can only do so much when a flavored ice cream doesn't even taste like that flavor. It's worth noting that on my penultimate visit, when I got the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, I saw two employees behind the front counter who were ready to take my order. I asked them to explain what the waffle bites were, but it took them a couple of tries to actually understand what I was asking. From what I gathered, the waffle bites were similar to the ice cream scoop I had on my first visit, but with the addition of a warm waffle to supplement the ice cream. However, the step-by-step process remains the same. I was initially told it would take 6 minutes to prepare the Cookie Butter Waffle Bites, but it actually took 15! It seemed like one was training the other or they were trying to gather the ingredients and/or the steps needed to create the waffle bites. After about 10 minutes, I was told by one of the employees they had to make a new batch of waffles because the first batch had burnt. The music was getting pretty loud, so it was hard to hear him after that, but I didn't want to hold up the kitchen prep process any longer. I just said "Alright, sure" so he could continue preparing my order. I do appreciate how he let me know of this so that I'd know the reason for the extended wait, but I wish they weren't so ill-prepared during my visit. So overall, still 3 stars overall. I appreciate the prior partnership with Fivestars, but these missed opportunities have led me to believe that Cravings is just not for me. I doubt I'll try anything else on their ice cream menu, and considering that there are only a few parking spots in their lot, it will take a lot to get me to try their hot chicken. And speaking of lack of parking, I also want to mention that on my second visit, I saw two open parking stalls right in front of Cravings, one on either side of a car. That car had its driver's side wide open so that I couldn't park there. I had to park on the passenger side of that car, which he left much less room for. Perhaps a microcosm of the clientele in this part of town? Everybody deserves a second chance, right? Unfortunately, not everybody can make the most of them, and this is just one example of such. Thanks for the sweet treats Cravings, but I'll get my next one somewhere else.

I was dying for an ice cream sandwich but theirs featured oreos as the cookie so I passed. Hubby got vanilla ice cream, his go to flavor, and i tried the blueberry cobbler. His scoop was a little larger than mine, so that was a bit annoying. He enjoyed his vanilla. The blueberry cobbler was divine; the vanilla was swirled with a good amount of blueberry that tasted fresh. The "cobbler" bits were pieces of sugar cookie, which were not bad but not much flavor, just sugary. There were crumbles as well as little cookie bits. We agreed they offer a quality product and a good sized serving for the price. I would return to try some of the other flavors!

But…read morewe *remembered* it, anyway, so when, about a month ago, we made the journey out to Artesia to satisfy our desire for a quality Indian buffet (something Long Beach has been lacking in for quite some time), we made sure to save a bit of room for ice cream here - we're pretty spoiled with easy access to Long Beach Creamery, quite possibly the best ice cream on the planet, but while they always have fun and interesting flavors, they aren't *these* flavors. Sadly, I definitely did *not* save sufficient room for the item I most specifically remembered having gotten last time, their falooda, which I *certainly* can't get anywhere in Long Beach, my favorite sort of dessert, being ice cream with a kitchen sink's worth of fun toppings. A decade later I still remember how good that falooda was. Presumably they still are. But we did have room for ice cream, at least a bit. They were happy to let us try as many flavors as we wanted, and there were a few I literally had no idea what they were - though some were just names for already-mixed variants, I learned, for instance, that "gulkand" is their rose ice cream with extra rose-petal candy (extremely tasty!), and that "chikoo" is actually the name of a fruit I'd never heard of (it tastes a lot like rich brown sugar, and goes particularly well with gulkand.) They were also happy to let us mix two flavors as half-scoops for a single scoop cup, and their single scoop cups are *quite* substantial. Long Beach Creamery is still my gold standard in craft ice cream, but everything about the ice cream here also tasted extremely real, made with actual fruits/candies/etc rather than mixes or "flavoring", and it's *almost* as close to the perfect creamy (not too airy or too dense) consistency that LB Creamery nails (Saffron Spot's is just *slightly* denser. Still extremely good. And way cheaper.) Also of note, they have an actual, dedicated parking lot, and at least when we were there, Saturday afternoon about a month ago, there were plenty of parking spaces in it, which felt like a downright rarity for the immediate surrounding area.
