This was my first time trying Filipino pastries, so I honestly had no idea what to order. I just picked a few of the items with good reviews and brought them to work. Everyone ended up loving them. The flavors were different from what we're used to, but in a really good way. It was fun trying something new, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The prices were surprisingly affordable, especially compared to other bakeries. The pastries looked great, tasted great, and were perfect for a quick snack. If you've never tried Filipino baked goods before, this is definitely a good place to start. I'll be back to try more next time.

They have excellent turon but I'm giving 2 stars and this is why: We have been coming to this place for years because of their perfectly sweet turon. One thing they have always been consistent about is the quality of their turon--and unfortunately, the long wait times as well. There have been several occasions when we had to pay and come back later because of the high demand for their product. Because we live about 30 miles away, we were advised to place our orders by phone before making the trip, which is exactly what we've been doing. Yesterday, however, we experienced one of the most inefficient customer service experiences we've ever had. We called multiple times to confirm our order, and the staff who answered assured us not to worry because they had plenty available and that our order would be ready when we arrived. When we got there, the exact opposite happened. We were told they had run out of turon and that we would need to wait another hour. While discussing the situation with the cashier, we watched another staff member assist the customer behind us, who purchased 60 pieces. We had preordered only 30 pieces, yet somehow they were able to fulfill that larger order while failing to honor ours. Poor customer service will eventually drive customers away. Yes, the product is excellent, but there will come a time when the product alone is no longer enough to keep customers coming back. Given the popularity of their business, they should be focusing on improving their customer service and honoring preorders to maintain customer loyalty. Good products attract customers, but good service keeps them.

I realized something funny recently....I tend to completely forget to review the places I visit the most and eat.... I've been coming to Pampanga's Bakery in Artesia for a while now, and it's long overdue that I actually give them their flowers. If you are looking for authentic, comforting Filipino baked goods and kakanin, this is the gold standard. Every time I walk in, the shelves are loaded with staples. Their selection of kakanin is also massive. The **Puto Assorted** and **Puto & Kutsinta** packs ($3.90) are always perfectly soft, vibrant, and fresh, and they have massive trays of **Biko Pandan** and **Cassava Cake** if you're feeding a crowd. For the savory side, the **Chicken Empanadas** and **Fried Lumpia** always hit the spot. And of course, there's the **Turon**. Yes, the price has risen to $1.05 a piece, but honestly? It's just modern economics, and it is still worth every single penny. It is still the absolute best of the best--shattered-crisp, perfectly caramelized on the outside, and packed right. The staff is always fast, the bakery smells like heaven, and the quality has stayed incredibly consistent over the years. Don't be like me and gatekeep it...if you haven't been, stop by!

    Box of turons.

Stopped by to try the turons after seeing people talking about them on social media. The location is in a strip mall and has lots of options. I got a box of turons and some ube malasadas. We got some malasadas from at a Filipino bakery in Hawaii recently which were delicious and wanted to see if they were just as good. My daughter tried them and said they were just as delicious. I got 3 for $1.75. My husband and I tried the turons and they were delicious. Not overly sweet but just the right amount. I didn't get to eat them warm as I was good about waiting to try them until I got home. They are $1.05 each so a box of 15 were $15.75. They were still crispy and can be addicting if you like anything banana. Definitely recommend giving Pampanga Bakery a try.

This was my first time at Pampanga Bakery and I specifically came for their banana Turon ! So perfectly fried and crispy, and just the right amount of sweet ! Yummy perfection ! It stays crispy longer than other competitors Turon. It's great for family gatherings or parties. The price for one was $1.05 which was so reasonable. I also purchased Ube rolls, chicken empanadas and the pork steamed Siopao. I also bought frozen Longanisa and Ube Hopia. My favorite items so far have been the delicious fried banana Turon, and the steamed pork Siopao. The steamed pork Siopao was $9 for four Siopao I found the chicken empanadas and the rolls were dry. I haven't had a chance to try the Ube Hopia or the pork Longanisa. The cashier was friendly and the bakery was clean. The price's were reasonable ! I will definitely be back ! It's my new favorite place to buy Turon !

We just bought Turon (banana) to go. Oh my, this is the best Turon I have had. Service was friendly.

Got the Turon (think dessert plantain lumpia) and Ube Malasada (ube dessert bread roll). The Turon was so fire, I mean, it's like in my opinion, a dessert of the best form factor. Easy to hold, crispy, not overly sweet, and FRIED. The Malasada was good, although I think it was a bit too sugary for me. But I can definitely find myself craving it on occasion. The service was great, the prices are really affordable, and it's definitely a family run local spot that you could add to your monthly rotation. A decent amount of seating too if you're looking to hangout, or just eat a quick breakfast/lunch. Will be coming back with friends when I come back home again!

I thought that all the bread and the siopao we got there were pretty good. I got the ube leche bread, some pan de sal, some turon and the pork siopao. We like it all, I wished the ube was a little stronger, but it was still good. The turon was nice and crispy and the siopao was decent. I'd go again and definitely recommend it if you're in the area since Goldilocks seems to be gone now.

Fresh Turon! Still hot when I got home!

My son asked for 2 specific things on his birthday and turon was one of them. He sent me to pick up a box and I obliged not even knowing what it was. It's kind of a hole in the wall, but since his birthday, I've been back 2 more times and I think it's an addiction now Lol. The ladies behind the counter are very helpful and the turon is AMAZING. I'm currently writing this and sad because I ate the last two yesterday. My son's birthday is 5/1 and today is 5/15. I've been 3x (once a week). Each time I got a box of 20 and they were gone before we knew it! TREAT YOURSELF!! You won't regret it. I can't speak on anything else they have, cuz right now I'm hung up on Turon hahahaha

    Nhi R.

The best Turon ever! Crispy and hot when we bought them. They even stay really crispy for a few hours. Saturday around 4pm, they are still pretty busy with a line. (1) You can order and pay ahead and skip the line. (2) You can order ahead and pay upon pickup but must wait in line. (3) Or walk in and hope they still have turon left. Luckily, even on a busy weekend we were able to walk in and order.

If you've got a craving for some Filipino sweets & baked goods near the Artesia area, then Pampanga's Bakery is your place. Half of the place is dedicated to the bakery while the other half houses a choose-your-items, quick food spot. Along the walls are white shelves with packaged pastries & other Filipino goodies (liver spread, pork chicharon, etc.). At the front counter, there is a glass display of their rolls (ube, cheese, etc.), ensaymadas, empanadas, and more. Some items, like the turon & señorita bread, are collected hot & fresh from the back. This bakery is incredibly inexpensive, generous with portions, and serves tasty quality goods. The stand out for me was their turon (a fried Filipino snack containing sliced banana/plantain, jackfruit, and a caramelized brown sugar shell). Most turon I have tried are usually the dimensions of a cigar or spring roll. Pampanga's Bakery has a slimmer, lengthier profile which provides a thinner egg roll cover, and I dig that their caramelized sugar coating is not so dense. Each turon is 99 cents, so it doesn't hurt the wallet to order a handful of them.

    Vivian E.

I'm very disappointed with my purchase this morning. I specifically bought what was labeled as egg pie, but when we opened and sliced it at work, it turned out to be coconut "buko"pie instead. This is not just a small mistake--people choose products based on what's labeled, especially with food preferences or allergies in mind. Getting a completely different item is frustrating and unacceptable. I called the store, and the only response I received was that it was "labeled wrong" and a simple apology. Unfortunately, that doesn't resolve the issue or make up for the inconvenience. I hope the store takes better care in labeling their products moving forward to avoid misleading customers.

I believe a local bakery in Artesia is considered a Philippines-style bakery. It's a small store, but it has a wide variety of baked and fresh goods! There was a huge line that was here during lunch time getting all the different breads they offer. Got the ube bread that I believe they are known for and yes it does taste amazing, especially if you love ube! So if you want something family-owned and traditional this is the spot to come and get some baked goodness for your family.

Ask the Community - Pampanga's Bakery Artesia

Is the hot food section only open on certain days? The last few times i went in the morning the hot food line was completely closed off and only the bakery was open

Hello, it's been completely closed, since beginning of 2026.

What time do you start serving Turon?

Within a few minutes of opening. However long it takes for them to make some batches

Can I order food to go?

Yes! They have food to go there too! You should order in advance for sure tho!

Is the wrapper for the Turon gluten free?

How much for a dozen turon?

I wonder with the increased of turon in price, did turon even get bigger?

It's the same and still so good!

What is the current price for turon per piece? 2023

$0.99 each as of Thursday, September 7, 2023. No discount for large orders.

I noticed on the menu pic that they offer Bibingka. Do they offer macapuno, or ube, or, just the traditional? I also need a party tray of Lumpia Shanghai, and Veggie Lumpia.

When I was there 3 days ago 1/20/2023, they hve bibingka with cream cheese and coconut(macapuno) not aware about ube. You may want to call them or better drop by. They always have long lines specifically Saturday and Sunday. Only one cashier but…

What phone number can I call to place an order of 50 pcs of turon for 12/23/2021? The number listed on Yelp and google won't connect

    (562) 403-1590 here's their number, save it on your contacts you can call pre-order and pickup.

Are your pandesals fresh and hot or are they already in plastic bags?

They have hot fresh pandesal, sometimes there's a wait (their quote is not always on time) they also have bagged pandesal of different flavors

Can we pre-order for pick up?

Yes I do that all the time because the senorita bread is not available when I walk in so I make sure to call ahead and my order is confirmed.

What are your business hours as of april 2020..and how much is your pandesal (hot)per dozen?

    7am-8pm and pandesal is $2.99 a dozen

    What are their business hours?

    7am to 8pm everyday

Hopefully this gets addressed soon. I'll note, my server didn't check on us a single time. We were out of water and coffee by the time our check was dropped off. I will say, facing the back, I did see her (and other staff) go to the back and chew their gum, touch their phones, and drink their drinks without washing their hands and coming back up front (also a health violation, btw).
