This was my first time having pho/ramen I loooooved it! We ordered some boa buns, kfc and pork belly! The pork and shrimp dumpling are stuffed! So good! The soups were so flavorful, and both very different. I had pho my nephew had ramen. We asked to try the most popular dishes since it was our first time! And that was a great ideas lol! Mecha is one of my favorite places around and I was lucky enough to have one in my college town as well! Nothing quite as comforting as a big bowl of ramen. Really delicious food and excellent speedy and kind service. The staff is really helpful and eager to answer questions about the menu or help you out with utensils/water/the works. Everything we tried was excellent. The sweet and sour salad with shrimp added on was fantastic and flavorful. The KFC bao were perfectly cooked and tender. It has been a long while since I have visited mecha noodle bar. What a pleasant visit! My favorite waitress was in the building and always takes care of me! Shout out to Kat! I usually order the spicy miso with chicken instead of pork belly. I decided to try with shrimp and of course I added my charred corn. In the past I have ordered the pho tide with shrimp only. I always get my kfc bao. That specific day they brought a special item to the menu which was the soft shell crab bao. Looked delicious. They also have an amazing salmon salad on the menu that's worth a try! My experience is always GOOD here! Come here when I'm in town. Always necessary to get the usual Spicy Miso. If you're a traditionalist, this may not be on your primary list of authentic eateries. However, the pho is done well and worth a visit while in the area. The pho is probably the most authentic noodle dish on the menu. As far as the other noodle dishes (ramen), I would have to say they are average (tonkotsu and paitan) to good (spicy miso). There are some noteworthy small plates worth trying too...firecracker wings, mushroom dumplings, and Saigon rolls. This is a CT noodle chain of restaurants that captures the noodle craze (in the US) and delivers it in a contemporary manner. The overall atmosphere is fun and welcoming. I love all sorts, but ramen and pho are near the top of my YUM list. So on a recent visit to Fairfield, my kids and I went to check out Mecha Noodle. First: they bring hot towels (pre-wrapped, but so what?) before you eat anything, so you're all freshened up before you dig in. Second: GREAT cocktails. Fun, inventive, delicious. Third: Pork belly steamed buns. Order them. Eat them. Revel in them. Fourth: Holy WOW, the soups. I've (so far) has two different types of pho (both amazing). My kids are both fans of the Shoyu Paitan ramen and often sing its praises. Fifth: The decor, music, and AMAZING service. The music is loud, but it works. The decor is super cool and the wait staff is super attentive. Sixth: It's the little things. The portions are huge. So, both times, I've taken things to go. They strain the noodles, meat, and veggies from the broth so nothing gets soggy. You can heat and remix when you're ready and it's still solid awesome. I LOVE THAT! This is a can't miss spot. Mecha has really gone down in quality since it's inception. I just went here 2/17/2024 and was disappointed. I got the spicy miso ramen and some appetizers. The chashu pork in the ramen did not seem marinated and was flavorless. Not to mention the slices were almost paper thin. They no longer include an egg in the ramen and the rest of the toppings were skimped out on from what I'm used to at other ramen places. Broth, noodles, and dumpling appetizers were good. read more

I had heard from a colleague that Mecha has good ramen and I was really craving some slurpy yummy chewy noodles. I called in the order of spicy miso ramen $12.50 but didn't want to pick it up until 30 min later. It turned out that it literally takes minutes to freshly prepare my noodle! When I got there and asked for my order, the lady turned to the kitchen folks (open kitchen) and they put the raw noodle into boiling water and ladled out a scoop of spicy miso and broth into a container. By the time I finished paying, my ramen was almost ready. The noodle and soup was packed separately and they placed the soup in a plastic bag so no spill accidents can take place in the car or during transport. The soup was still warm so didn't need to reheat. The slices of meat was fatty and meaty in just the right way. Two slices out of three were slightly thicker than I preferred but still very yummy. The toppings also included wood ear fungus which I love and green scallions. I had green bean sprouts at home so added some to the noodle. It gave it the yummy crunch I adore. A soy sauce hard boiled egg would have been even better, but didn't have the patience to wait. The spicy miso is not that spicy but it had great flavor and the noodle texture was bouncy and chewy. I came by friends' rec. and they were right that despite the Japanese theming, their pho was better than their ramen. I tried both the tonkotsu and chicken- based broths and still preferred the pho, which was light and flavorful. The Ramen was not bad, but a bit stingy on the toppings, with just half a soft boiled egg each. Would I come again for the Pho though? No. Their drink menu was so fun though and they do have plenty of other options that I'd be willing to come back and try. We have loved Mecha Noodle Bar for years. It's a great franchise and I've been to several locations in CT and MA and have always had great service and delicious food. I am leaving this one-star review out of disappointement at the recent menu change. Our favorite menu item as a family has always been the pho sizzle and now it has been replaced. We are BEGGING Mecha to consider bringing it back as it is what all of us ordered every time we went. We likely will no longer eat at Mecha now and are all extremely sad about this turn of events. read more

Stopped by Mecha Noodle Bar in Fairfield tonight for some comfort food. We had heard nothing but great things about their food so we had to make a stop on this cold January day. We walked in and we're instantly greeted by super kind and helpful hostesses. We sat away from others in the restaurant; everyone was spread out well due to COVID and all workers had masks. Our waitress came over within 2 minutes and we ordered drinks. I had the Mango Lassi Boba tea (SO GOOD!) and my partner had Moscow Mules (made with real ginger, delicious!). We started with bao buns; I got the shiitake ones and the pork buns and both were literally incredible. So flavorful. My ramen was incredible and full of yummy noodles and toppings.
