Ordered online, food was ready in 20 minutes, walked in paid and headed out. Hot sauce is free with order. Ordered Shish Tawok- chicken was perfectly marinated, hot and fresh! The humus and salad were delicious. Came with 1 pita bread- best I ever had, just wished it came with more than one. Also ordered Tabouleh salad and lentil soup. Good. First time coming here. They have at least one marked vegan option on the menu--the veggie combo plate. I'm guessing some of the other things could be made vegan. About 5 tables for small groups (4 ppl max) plus a counter with stools allow you to dine in. Ingredients all fresh. Generous portion (at $13.99 for the combo I was glad to see it a large, full plate with baba ganoush, hummus, 2 pieces of falafel, bean salad, tabouleh, 2 stuffed grape leaves, pickled cabbage, and a side of pita. The rice didn't seem to have much seasoning though so I think I would opt for fries on the side next time. I liked the salad and the pita bread that came on the side too. Great deal for the cost! I visited this restaurant years ago before I went to a Mariners game and absolutely loved it. I just returned today with my sister and we are there again. She got the chicken shawarma gyro and I got the spanikopita and it comes with a salad. It was very good as well as the tahini sauce. They were grilling hotdogs in front of the restaurant and many passerby's to the Seahawks game stopped by to purchase one. When I return to Seattle, I'll definitely return to this restaurant. I've heard many great things about Med Mix and our experience was from a take-out situation. We ordered an entree to share and of course greek fries! Thankful that we ordered an entree to share as it was big enough for two. We got a salad to go with it, which was so crisp and refreshing - something very important. Before we even got to the fries we were already impressed. Something I appreciate is placing the feta-y sauce to the side so the fries aren't soft by the time of consumption. One thing to complain about is that we only got one piece of pita bread :( From what I'm reading we may have gotten ripped off. Parking was not difficult - plenty of street parking and picking up was not difficult either. Merely show them your order and they give it to you. Pretty much contactless. read more

Not really feeling it here, friends. The three stars is meant to give these folks the benefit of the doubt. I eat here frequently because they are convenient to my work. But, the service is a bit uneven and I have yet to find anything they serve that really gets me excited. I started with the "lamb" plate. The portions were ample. But, let's be clear. The meat is their pressed, ground lamb/beef gyro mix. I don't know if it is proprietary or something they get from a vendor. But, there's nothing really exciting about it. My biggest complaint is that unlike most "Mediterranean" places I've tried, they don't offer real lamb anywhere on their menu. I recently tried their vegetarian plate. Some of the dishes it includes are pretty good. The mixed bean dish with garbanzo and fava beans was particularly good and I haven't seen it before. The baba ghanoush was noteworthy a very tasty blend of eggplant and spices with a decidedly smokey flavor. This dish gives me hope for this place. The dolmathes and falafel both appeared to be produced by a vendor rather than store made. The fellow that usually greets me at the counter to take my order seems genuinely interested in my experience. The woman that served me last time seemed pretty indifferent and let my food sit on the counter quite some time before she checked with me. I was barely six feet away and in full view. Tip for the store: gesturing toward the water cooler is not really service. The price point of their gyro is fair enough to keep me coming back. They sell their own home made pastries. So, I have lots left here to try. But, come on! They don't even serve regional coffee. Get some Turkish or Greek coffee on the menu! How can you even think of selling baklava with out it? read more

I ordered the kitchen sink for 60+ hungry teachers during conference week and it was excellent! Everyone I spoke to at MedMix was friendly and helpful, from the phone order, to the prompt delivery. They even called the day before to confirm the order. As far as the food... yum!! Chicken & rice was soft and delicious, the greek salad, dolmas, and tabouleh were beautifully plated. The pita was pillowy. The falafels came a little dark but still tasted great. We're a no-nut school or I would have ordered baklava ;) Great sauces as well. Ya'll... I KNOW being a delivery person in Seattle must suck. I has to. Just living here and organizing my own transportation is a trial in patience. But, please... don't call your customers to complain that you can't find parking and offer no solutions. I order delivery quite frequently and while I know the construction around our building makes it difficult, I never get complaint calls. My orders are always delivered without issue. Not only was my latest delivery late and cold, but the phone call I received was extremely unprofessional. If you have a problem, that's okay. But this gentleman just called me and complained there was no parking. He had no solution for me. He was rude and unhelpful. The food I got was still very delicious despite being ice cold. read more

I love this spot! I've eaten hear countless times, usually take out or delivery. It's fast, consistent, large portions (like enough for two people on those entrees!) and yummy. I get the gyro salad or the lamb plate and am always stuffed halfway through. Th salad is never soggy, and has several different veggies and lettuces (onion, tomato, cabbage, cucumber, greens, feta, two dressings) unlike so many salads that have hardly anything on them! Poppin music, plenty of seating and really good food! I was super hungry and wanted some Mediterranean food near me and I came across this gem on Yelp. It was a quick walk from my house and the place wastn crowded at all. I was there around 6.30PM; maybe that's why or maybe this is more off a delivery/takeout spot. I thought the spot was really cool and the staff was super friendly! It was one of those you order at the counter and seat yourself place. I ordered 2 gyro salads (one for there and one to go) and the lamb salar was so good! I almost licked the bowl after! The dressing was delicious and the meat was tender and it was surprisingly filling! The chicken gyro salad I had the next day wasn't as good as the lamb salad but it was still very delicious! The chicken was dry but it was in the fridge for a day so maybe that's why! I have gotten takeout from here a couple of times and it has never disappointed! Ordered take out last night for our party of 4. Food was ready and hot within the promised time. The shish tawook was very good - the chicken was moist and well seasoned, the rice was tasty and the sauces were next level! There's a red spicy sauce which really packed the heat, a creamy delicious garlic sauce and a tzatziki sauce. It came with a delicious side salad loaded with feta and black olives yum! I only wished there was more of it. The chicken shawarma plate was pretty good as well, but the chicken felt a little on the dryer side. Each of the plates also came with pitas on the side. We subbed the French fries for the Greek fries (an additional $1.50) which were excellent! Crispy and well seasoned. We'll definitely be back - quick service and good, fresh flavors! read more

Finally tried this place and ordered the vegetarian combo and really liked it. I've never had the 'real deal' in the Mediterranean. But I have eaten at most Mediterranean in Seattle and a good percentage in Chicago. This place is definitely a better than most of those places. For the price it's a clear winner. All the dishes in the vegetarian combo were well thought out and executed as stand alone flavors. For carry out it's kind of amazing to have this much thought go into your meal. I'd highly recommend you try this place while it's still able to operate in the CD. This is a gem of a spot. It's kind of a quiet secret over on Jackson. We are lucky to have it in our neighborhood! Easy and clear menu. They do a nice smaller selection of items really well. Friendly service and helpful advice when you don't know what to order. Come for a quick bite or stay a little while. There doesn't appear to be much seating but there are a number of small tables down the side aisle. Perfect food to take across to the park too if that's your jam! I will be back and regularly to try more of the menu. So far I've had the platters and LOVE them. read more

I ordered the Gyro Plate and it was quite delicious. I came in the restaurant, paid for my order and sat down to enjoy the food. It took about 15 mins for the dish to be ready. They have cold water available (self-serve) and you are also supposed to bus your own table. The Gyro Plate was flavorful and really good! Sad to say I found hair in the food after almost finishing my food. Hopefully this was a rare occurrence, or at least that's what I'm telling myself since the food was quite good. The customer service was also excellent. You can tell they are short-staffed because they were juggling so many things at once. This was my first time coming here so I don't wanna say too much. Wow, the progression of my feelings about this place is kinda nuts. I went from never noticing it, to seeing it and thinking to myself "I feel bad for them cause no one is gonna see them," to being happy they got a sign outside, to finally trying it and falling for it hard, and then telling everyone I know about it and finding out I was totally wrong and everyone seems to know about this place already. Long story short, what sets this place apart is incredibly flavorful Mediterranean style food that is put out in a super friendly environment.
