This is my fourth time dining on this restaurant's food. It's kinda of hit and miss. I have two really good experiences and two okay experiences. It's really hard to rate them because they aren't consistent. I'm giving them four stars because the first time was very good. I don't like the rice...it was too dry. The salad was delicious on all occasions. Chicken and Gyro meat was dry on two occasions. The Pita Bread is a winner!!!!! I will go back a get the salad, by but no rice dishes.

You know when you go to a new restaurant the first time and everything is great? Then the next time it isn't as great? Well, that did not happen the second time I went to Med Mix. I went a year ago with my son who lives in the area. About two weeks ago I was back with my husband and we were so pleased with everything at Med Mix. The ambiance was nice and the gentleman behind the counter was very friendly. He was dressed in a white coat that reminded me of how waiters dress at nicer restaurants. All this was great but, omg, the food! It was so good and fresh. It all tasted freshly made and was absolutely delicious. My husband said it was the best Mediterranean food he has ever had. We live in Portland so it might be a while until we can go back but I can guarantee we will be back to Med Mix the next time we are in Seattle.

Med Mix offers large portions for an amazing price, plus the food is delicious. You could easily share the plates/salads, or get two meals out of them, which is such a great deal for the price point. The meat is cooked perfectly and all of the flavors are bold and go together well. Our group also ordered a side of the pita bread and babaganoush, which paired perfectly together. The pita is big and soft and fluffy, and is a great addition to the main dishes. We also got the spanakopita which are large, flaky and packed with filling. The baklava we got was ok, not the best I've had. One thing to note is that it is a take out restaurant. There is one or two small tables inside, but plan accordingly.

Great and friendly service! The shish tawook plate was so good, the chicken was perfectly grilled and still juicy. The garlic sauce was the best I've had. Fries were also hot and perfectly fried. Will be back!

We were picking up takeout from another good spot around the corner a few nights ago and saw how busy this spot was and the excellent food safety ratings. We opted to try it out and were so impressed with how good it was. The person at the front was kind and with it being an open kitchen you could see the cleanliness. We had a chicken and rice dish, chicken kabab with rice, side baba ghanouj, gyros sandwich, eggplant sandwich, greek fries, and baklava. The portions were generous and we were able to have leftovers for lunch the next day. The rice was wonderful...and reminded me of a Portland spot I miss (Nikolas). The chicken was tender and juicy and I enjoyed my gyro wrap as well although was really impressed with the eggplant sandwich with its smokiness and would love to get that next time. Our youngest who is a picky eater declared the chicken and rice one of his favorite dishes and would love to get take out from here weekly. We really enjoyed the baklava as well with a different flavor than some versions I've had. Really great spot and looking forward to making this part of our takeout rotation,

First time experience here. Ambiance: To be expected of a gyro joint. Doesn't need anything too fancy. The vibe is cool. Interesting music playing. It's like foreign pop music. Kind of a bop. Service: Eh could be better. Not very welcoming. To the point which is cool I guess. Not like we gotta be friends. Price: $$$ I got a falafel sandwich and a spanakopita with a bottle of water. Taste was really good. Had great flavors low key. And I'm not talking American type of flavors. For an authenticity to it. So well done. The bottle of water was 3.50. Crazy. I wanna see what they get it at wholesale. Give it a solid 4.

Such INCREDIBLE Mediterranean food, every single component of each plate was impeccable. Ordered takeout - we tried the Falafel Plate ($11.99), Kofta Kabob Plate ($14.49), and Lamb Shish Kabob Plate ($15.99). I love the amount of ingredients and sauces they give you. I remember the salad dressing, tzatziki sauce, and tahini sauce. The tabouleh was wonderfully tart and fresh and the hummus was creamy and delicious. Rice was wonderfully spiced and the salads and meat were all great as well. Pita was delicious, warm, fluffy, and brushed in olive oil. Good portions. Also ordered baklava, and peanut butter chocolate baklava which were both yummy and sweet and a perfect end to the meal! Everything was carefully packaged in compartment containers. Staff is super nice too!

The best Baklava I've had in Seattle was amazing! I got a Chicken Gyro, an Eggplant Sandwich, and some Fries. The food was delicious. To avoid waiting, I decided to call ahead. They said it would be ready in 10 minutes. It's a 10-minute drive from Columbia City to 23rd and Jackson. I easily found parking, and my order was ready as soon as I arrived. The place is cozy with window seats, quiet ambiance, and small TVs hanging on the wall. Definitely worth the drive and the short wait!

One of the biggest gems of the Central District and easily the best mediterranean food in Seattle with too good to be true portion sizes and prices. Seriously! Service is friendly and timely. My favorites include spanakopita, the lamb and rice plate, and falafel. This food leaves you feeling refreshed and the seasonings leave you feeling rejuvenated.

I had a kofta kebab Platter that was very fresh and generous with salad, seasoned yellow rice and humus. They give you house dressing and hot sauce to apply as you wish. Cheerful yellow interior and very clean. Fast service - you order at the counter and it's nice that your food is served on real ceramic plates. There are several tables but mainly just for 2-4 people max. I was able to park on street within less than a block. This place is a good find! read more

Guys, no joke this place has INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS FOOD. We tried it for the first time yesterday and were blown away by the authenticity and goodness of the foods and desserts. The staff were so kind and generous as well and it was an overall awesome experience. I noticed people ordered their food for pick up but there's minimal seating to dine in as well. SO GOOD! Everything is so fresh, flavors are incredible. The gyros are amazing and great bang for the buck. The sides of taziki and babaganush are nice and big, worth the price. I don't really write reviews but since I know this place is new I wanted to say something! This place is clean, friendly, delicious, and local. My Kefta Kebob sandwich was delicious (something I've never had before) and the pita bread was even toasted on the grill! They even had a homemade spicy sauce, and I think many of their pastries are made here as well. The nice woman behind the counter checked on me before and after I ate, almost a restaurant like attention to their customers. It was a nice feeling. I felt like they genuinely cared. And then last but not least this place is clean! A lot of good Mediterranean places seem to be a little grungy sometimes but not here. I'll definitely be back and I can't wait to try more on the menu! There's a lot. read more

Did an online order; pd by card; pickup at the location The eggplant sandwich was excellent, and the lamb gyros was good enough, after I took it back (20+ min rt) and had them re-make it the way I ordered it (w/o the onions and the garlicky tzatziki yogurt sauce - both poison to my gi tract.) Prob is they don't seem to pay attention to all those checkboxes they included in the online order form. So if you want anything but the standard version of a dish, a) order by phone and say your special request 2-3 times or b) when you pick up the order say "did you (whatever the special request was)??" AND maybe open up the order at the counter and check for yourself. As it was, I got to drive back to the restaurant while my dinner companion ate her sandwich hot, to get a profuse apology (not very filling) and food I could eat. FWIW the last time I ordered from them (by phone, ~~spring 2020), they also botched the no-sauce request; that time I think I checked it at the counter, then had to stand around, masked in their little foyer, 10-15 min while they re-did my order. read more

Had takeout so can only speak to food - was delicious and economical. Cannot believe it! Have been looking for a good Mediterranean place ever since moved from Bay Area in 2020 and the search is over- food tastes fresh without being exorbitantly expensive. So happy to have discovered this little hole in the wall. The service is quick and the food is always amazing, fresh with great flavors. I always get the veggie platter and they knock the falafels out of the park! Perfectly crispy on the outside, nice and soft and hot on the inside. The hummus and baba ganoush are so delicious and flavorful. Yum yum YUM! Looking forward to going back. read more

Everything on their menu is delicious; especially the sauces and sides! My favorites are the gyro sandwich, gyro salad, veggie combo and lamb & rice plate. Their hummus and tzatziki with warm pita is the best. The staff is friendly and the price is great. Their meals are also fairly large. It's hard to resist not getting a dessert each time I walk in. Med mix quickly became one of my favorite to-go places during the times of covid. The serving sizes are great! I ordered a large fry which was an entire full sized to-go container... for $6!! And they were so good. The lamb gyro is so good. Good quality meat and veggies. I also really enjoyed the gyro plate. Another huge portion with fresh ingredients. I wish there were gyro fries on the menu but it is also easy to make your own. Order a gyro with extra lamb, fries, and tzatziki and it's great! read more

Kind of a hit or miss with this place. One meal I had here was great, but the other meal I had here was very salty and the falafel was mushy and smashed in small pieces. They also forgot one of our orders so a person in our group ate once everyone was finished. The chicken gyro is pretty consistent, but the bread is always soaked in oil. Disappointed about quite a few things and I don't think we will be coming back due to food inconsistency, too much oil, mashed falafel, and too much salt. read more

I love their food here, I really do and would continuously come here and order to go. One star off only because they've forgotten parts of my order several times to where I've had to come back, which is not horrible if you live close-ish. Their service recovery is good because they throw in a free desert the people are pretty nice. The food is always fresh and I order their Greek fries and gyro plate the most. read more

This place rocks! Best hummus ever that I can't bring myself to buy store brands anymore. My kids love the chicken and rice and my husband loves their gyro. I usually get the Greek salad and have them hold the dairy and I get a side of hummus and tahini sauce. read more

Reliably great food. I love the slight toast of the pita in their gyro. But by far my fav is the gyro salad. So much food and flavor for so little money. Their baklava is also amazing. Staff is always very friendly and so quick as well! read more

We loved it! My son, who won't eat anything, tried his first gyro and was able to finish half before he was overwhelmed. I had the rest for breakfast this morning and it was great. My dish was the eggplant sandwich. I used some of my son's side of tzatziki, I think the side of tzatziki is essential. The baklava is outstanding. The place is very clean and I liked the color of the walls. Lots of people picking up to-go orders, not many tables. Nice high ceilings and real music, not some crappy radio station. Will be back. read more

Between the portion sizes, quality, and overall value, it just didn't live up to the price.

Overall it was a solid choice for brunch, I'd order something different for my main dish though!

The rice was very bland, and although the salad was actually really good, the chicken was extremely dry, chewy, and lacked flavor. The presentation looked nice, but the taste just didn't match. The portions were also quite small, and the prices felt very high for what you get. The service was just okay overall. Maybe they are still new and working things out, but for the price and portion size it just didn't feel worth it. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and money considering the quality and quantity of the food.

Our unique combination of Lamb and beef Gyro cone is mixed to balance the flavor and fat content. It slow-cooks early morning prior to opening the doors because our chef insists on keeping the meat as safe from contamination as possible. "heavy foot-print and open doors". The gyro cone oven can be seen on the left side of the kitchen right behind the fridge. Our daily fresh batch of Spanakopitas is made in-house. we make only 20 a day as this is the sales average.
