I had an appointment for my sister at 11 am. She was profusely vomiting, pale, shaking. They didn't call us back until 11:30. When we finally went back we didn't see a doctor for almost 20 minutes. I went to the desk and asked when she'd be available and it WAS the doctor sitting at her computer on her phone. She said she was in the process of getting to us but never showed. The front house staff is nice but the "doctors" in that place are ridiculous. I would never recommend going here. read more

MedExpress was suggested to me by my primary care as a faster alternative to sitting at an ER all day for my issue. I arrived at 935 AM. I was the only one in the waiting room. Upon checking in I was told that they were short staffed and the earliest I would be seen was 4PM. I've never experienced this before even in the most busy Urgent Cares with one Doc in house. This place is pretty good. I have been there twice in the last two years. Same staff was there today. Odd in todays atmosphere of high turnover. All I can say is I wish I could make it my primary care location/provider for all of my care. Such nice front desk staff, the triage nurse was very friendly and detailed in her evaluation and she listened. The NP (NPs typically better than a MD) Mrs Paulter was very detailed and went above and beyond what was required in my opinion. Her level of paitent care she provided is what all providers should strive for. She even called me back in before I left to take care of one more thing just to be on the safe side and ahead of any concerns I might run into later that were non-medical related due to the visit. For great care go here. I walked in without an appointment and only waited 10-12 min. I wait longer at my primary care Dr's office with an appointment typically. read more

My husband and I brought our 18 month old baby in for a check up. We'd been on vacation, and our little one developed a nasty rash all over his body after we took him to the beach. We were so thankful to have been able to have an Urgent Care facility nearby, as we literally got off the road from driving back from the OBX. The front desk staff, Peyton and Challon were super friendly, helpful, and quick. When were called back by the "intake nurses" Andrea and Lauren, they too, were very friendly, quick, efficient, and asked appropriate questions about what the issue was with our son. Finally, were seen by Cynthia Paulter, NP. She was so on point. I had a feeling that the diagnosis was what she stated, but getting her confirmation and professional expertise was exactly what I needed. She literally put me at ease and checked for everything with him. Thank goodness for her! This office was wonderful, clean, and fabulous weekend team! Thank you all again! Even though there weren't many people in the office, we were able to get in and out of there in about an hour. I'm not sure what it's like on busy days, but on a weekend it was a reasonable amount of time to get in and out. I highly recommend this Urgent Care facility! read more

I'll start by saying Stacy at the front and Jessica the RN were very nice and helpful. However, my grandmothers appointment was for 3:30 and there was only one person ahead of her when we got here at 3:30. We've seen 4 patients walk out within 40 minutes of us being here, but only one patient taken back. It has now been 50 minutes since we got here and since our scheduled time and we were just taken back. I would understand if it was busy and I work in healthcare and know how things can be. But why make an appointment if it's not going to be honored. read more

My 23-year-old daughter arrived Friday, 7/28, at 3:15 -- in pain after 3 days with a swollen and inflamed armpit. There were three people waiting. At 4:10, all patients who had arrived before her had been taken back. At 4:22, a patient who had arrived AFTER her was taken back for a wrist-surgery re-check. At 4:30, a patient who had arrived AFTER her was taken back FOR A SPORTS PHYSICAL. When she went to the receptionist, she was told she'd be taken back within 10 minutes. At 4:55, someone checked in for "a scheduled appointment" -- Since when does Urgent Care take appointments?? At 5:10, they took another person back who'd arrived AFTER her. She's now been there TWO HOURS -- and it's now 40 minutes since she's been told "another ten minutes". At this point, when she approached the receptionist, the receptionist was "surprised" because .... she thought she had already been taken back. Not sure what kind of system they are using to track patients, but ALL OF THE SUDDEN, they were able to get her back there REALLY QUICKLY. SOMEHOW there was now a room & staff to treat her .... ??? I have emailed the person they said was the Center Manager as well as submitted a ticket on the main site and, as of 8/7, I have heard nothing yet. read more

Fraud Fraud Fraud ! BEWARE!! Went in for a COVID 19 test and the experience was horrible. I WAS NEVER TESTED YET I HAVE A $205 bill in which they've already charged my Insurance $50!!! The day I attempted to test I should've just left when the receptionist answered the phone and started giving me someone else's medical information. That was strike one. Strike 2 They advertise walk in service when in fact you need an appt. I was then scheduled for 11 am to come back. So I left after sitting in the parking lot for an hour. Strike 3 At 11am I was in the car on my way to head back to be tested. The receptionist called to do my prescreening. Once she learned I had no symptoms she told me they will not give me the rapid test I was requesting. So I turned around and went back home. Several weeks after this interaction I received a Bill for $205 !!! My insurance has already paid them $50! These PEOPLE NEVER TREATED ME. THIS IS INSURANCE FRAUD. DO NOT GO HERE I will be reporting this fraudulent activity ! read more

Called in the morning and was able to get an appt in the afternoon for a rapid COVID test. The place was very clean, staff is super courteous and the test was completed with results in 15-minutes! Thankfully they don't use the super long nose test probes anymore, it only goes an inch inside your nose. I highly recommend going here is you need a quick test for travel or other purpose. read more

I had an excellent experience at this walk in clinic. It was a Sunday late afternoon and I had an eye infection. The nurse who checked me in was thorough and personable. The doctor was just as friendly and cool. I almost wish he was my primary care doctor. I'll admit I was skeptical bc the reviews were bad. But let's remember not to many people take the time to leave good reviews. I wanted to make sure folks knew this place is top notch, easy and very safe. Highly recommend. read more

There is nothing express about Med Express in Frederick, MD. I have been there twice and was not seen both times. I was referred there by Veterans Health Administration but was not seen after waiting two hours. The second time was June 12 for the rapid Covid test. I arrived at about 12:45 PM and left at 3:30 PM without being seen. I left and went to another Urgent Care Clinic about three miles from them and got seen within 30 minutes. At 4:20 PM Med Express called me and asked, "Are you still waiting in your car?" I replied, "after waiting till 3:30 PM, I left" and they said, "we would just remove you from the waiting list" and they hung up. After waiting two hours, I checked to see why I had not been seen. An employee's response was very rude. I will never go there again even if it is the only place available. Their customer service is terrible, and their waiting time is horrible. You are better off going to the emergency room. read more

The male nurse/tech (didn't get his name) he was bald with a long beard with some beads was AMAZING!! He was so kind and understanding when I expressed my fears of having my brain get probed for a covid test. He assured me he would not do that and made me feel comfortable the entire time. The doctor who came in after had horrible bedside manner. Very rude and felt rushed (I waited in my car for 2 hours and 40 min before I was seen but this was the only place that could take 'walk ins') absolutely 0 apology. Treating sick people should have some form of kindness but he did not have any. If it wasn't for the extremely kind male nurse I would give this place 1 star read more

She was nice but I have never had to wait this long before in any medical office. Very rude personnel, We were at the Frederick location waiting for over TWO hours with a baby crying in the car due to an ear infection, fever, runny nose and cough. After waiting that long we decided to walk in to see how much longer we have to wait, only to be ordered to go back to the car until called or we can opt to drop off the waiting list and seek help somewhere else. I was frustrated since we wasted two hours for nothing. I have asked the staff why do they have this long waiting time to be told that only one care provider is available. I lost it telling them that they should be honest about the lack of doctors and post that on the window or tell the patients the minute they walk in that the waiting time could be two hours or longer! Absolutely terrible. Waited 4 hours, son came with numbness and tingling in his hands. Left with a paper that said "patient presented w Covid symptoms patient was Covid negative " this place only cares about Covid numbers!! My son had zero Covid symptoms and never should have been tested. This doctor is not truly treating patients symptoms he's just testing for Covid. Disgusting to see how our health care priorities have changed now. I will never go back here!! They also get you to pay when you first get there so you cant get tired of waiting and just leave. They are under staffed with doctors usually only 1. 8:22am Sunday Feb 3rd 2019, at the 99 Baughmans Lane, Frederick MD MedExpress location behind the WaWa: The young woman in the right window of the 2 windows,who checked me in was extremely rude and unprofessional. SHE asked me what was wrong and the reason for my visit. I said I am sick. She asked me to explain then SHE interrupted me when I was answering her to say with condescending rude tone that she isn't the one who hears it...wtf did she ask me then???!!! She refused to accept my original answer that I was sick WTF I did tell them about the encounter. The one I told was the woman"Erin" at the left window and she was very pleasant to me but she didn't acknowledge about my complaint however I know she heard me bcz I spoke directly to her making eye contact. The person on the phone was professional, Felin the nurse who swabbed my mom told her what to expect and was very kind, Cynthia the doctor was very detailed and patient. We have used this Med Express several times since it opened. My son is very active and we have had several instances on the weekend or after hours. Today we went in and first I was mom shamed for taking him to urgent care and not his ped which isn't open on the weekendsor street hours. And second he did not give us the documentation we needed. Please seriously do not mom shame me for caring about my son. If you did not want to take a ped tell the lady up front before I paid my co-pay and waited the 1 hr and 25 minutes missing my daughters softball game. Dr Patel should chose his words carefully and set his standards prior to intake. We would have gladly gone elsewhere. We won't be returning. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Came in with chest pains and shortness of breath and they did nothing for me. Automatically blamed it on me vaping without taking anything else into consideration, then the nurse and doctor continued to make smart ass comments about it making me feel very uncomfortable. Then continued to Blame my chest pains on my anxiety even though I haven't been having anxiety lately and if the doctor would have listen to me then he would've known that. Brushed off my shortness of breath like it was nothing and did not even do anything to treat it or figure out what it could be. Nurse left the door open while my boob was out leaving anybody able to walk in at any time. Completely unprofessional and the 2 nurses there and doctor that treated me were extremely rude except one (older lady with short hair and glasses, she was super sweet). They seemed like they wanted to be doing anything but their job and seemed very annoyed when they had to actually do their job. Where do i begin had the flu and sat in the waiting for 2 hours while sitting in waiting a lady storms out when the back area and questions me in front of the entire waiting room about her phone as though i would steal it causing a scene when it was only in the bathroom. I finally get to the back they give me what i need or whatever and I'm leaving so i ask for a doctors note for work and they tell me i have to wait for the doctor to come back I'm in pain they did nothing for me I've been there for 3 hours now, i start waiting for the doctor to come out 5,10 minutes pass i walk back up to the counter and ask for a note I'm told to continue waiting my boyfriend is now loud and pissed because they did nothing for me and I'm in tears because I'm literally in so much pain he leaves to go sit in the car because he thinks this is ridiculous 20 minutes after getting my papers i finally receive my doctors note and leave all to have them next day air me a letter telling me I'm not to be seen there again and to never return to any of their locations. DONT GO TO MED EXPRESS I WAS HARASSED IN THE WAITING ROOM BY A WHITE WOMEN WHO ACCUSED ME OF STEALING HER PHONE AND RECEIVED NO HELP AND STILL SAT THERE FOR 3 HOURS ALL TO TURN AROUND AND GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND FIND OUT I HAD A COLON INFECTION AND FLU IF I COULD NEGATIVELY RATE THIS PLACE I WOULD. They also claimed i didn't have insurance and billed me for a visit and when i called 4 times to explain my situation and told them to run it through the insurance again they didn't and forced me to come out of pocket 100$ to be seen when i arrived and received this terrible service. read more
