The front desk staff is rude, and slow. I got in right after 8 AM and had to wait for someone to report to check me in. They then told me it's their policy to retain my card on file for any portion of the bill that is not covered and was told I had to sign the form in order to be seen. I wrote across the top that I do not consent. The lady then told me I couldn't write across the top. I will without a doubt pay anything my insurance doesn't cover but no one should have automatic access to charge you. Most doctors offices make this optional. read more

Went to get a COVID test to clear me for military duty this weekend due to being exposed to a positive case last week. Pulled up to designated spot, called and was told I was in cue. After an hour wait and noticing there was no one else around I called to check where I was and I was very rudely told no one had spoken to. Also they are no longer coming out to the cars to conduct testing but now they are bringing people inside for testing. I had been there before and was pleased with my experience then; however I will not go back after the way I was treated today. read more

Parents: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO THIS LOCATION. Arrived on a Sunday afternoon to an EMPTY waiting with my child and his almost 103° fever. The waiting room began to fill up during the one hour wait to be called. ONE hour later, we're called into triage. Waiting for the doctor for another hour in the room! My husband watched from the parking lot, as patients came in and out during our two hour wait. I approached the nurses station and inquired why other patients were being attended to, while we still waiting and we arrived before. Neither nurse denied that "emergencies" came in and the doctor attended to them first. Emergencies are for hospitals, not urgent care. The fact that this facility chooses who is seen based on need, not as they come is UNACCEPTABLE. You have a child waiting, and don't bother to inquire on his needs during the two hours, until after I bring it to your attention. Offering a dose of Ibuprofen and a Pedialyte ice-pop two hours later. Blatantly disregarding a child needs because they're not as severe as the next dollar sign walking in, that does it for me. While the receptionist and triage nurse that helped me were kind, that's where the good experience ended. My out of pocket max had been met, yet I had to pay a copay (will be revisiting this once I have my EOB). Only 1 provider was seeing patients and turned some away because she was too busy. She did a brief exam of my complaints, told me that if I wasn't feeling better to call back for other treatment options. Got my prescriptions with incorrect instructions - had to work with the pharmacist to figure out dosing. Called back 2 days later because not feeling better, waited 2 hours without hearing back so called again only to be told I'd hear back by the end of their day 8p. Got a call back at 7p and was told that the treatment I received was appropriate and I would have to be reseen for anything else. Why tell me to call then? I would not recommend being treated here. read more

I visited this facility mid-day on 3/11/2024 at about 1:30 pm. There were Maybe two vehicles in the parking lot. There were also NO people in the waiting room. The receptionist looked at me like I was an unscheduled delivery person. I said I was here to see the doctor. She asked if I had an appointment. I said no. Mind you, they advertise as Walk-in OR appointment. She clicked away on her computer and abruptly said "5:45". I was shocked! I said, but there is nobody here!!! I just recently visited MedExpress on the referral of a co-worker. The staff were cold towards me and held a lengthy personal conversation with each other at the desk in between moments that required communication with me. The facility appeared very clean and had a decent amount of seating. I had to pay $60(w/ insurance) up front for the service and was told I could not just receive a bill for services; just fyi for those who may be wondering about that. Wait time was a bit lengthy although there were hardly any people in the waiting area. I was sent to the ER after this visit(had the same tests done) which kind defeated the purpose of me going to Urgent Care to begin with, now I have two medical bills to pay. I attempted with Urgent care, I dont think it's for me. I won't be returning; I'll just take my chances with the emergency room. read more

Went to get my heart checked because i couldn't feel my heart beating. That cost $1,000 dollars, my insurance only covered 80% of that. They didn't take my email on file so I was never informed that they were taking $150 out of my account. They left me broke with no warning of this happening. Never go to places like this, they wont figure out whats wrong but will charge you out the a** leaving you with absurd charges with no warning. The staff was nice but their charging system is ridiculous. Take your chances its not worth being blindsided with charges you were never informed of. American healthcare is a joke. read more

Terrible. My son goes in for COVID testing , as he has symptoms and I've had COVID for 6 days. He gets a negative rapid result and they send him on his way. Keep in mind he was there for 2 hours and he's 18 so a parent can't go in with him. After he gets home I called them to ask why the pcr wasn't suggested or given. The reception tells me that with negative rapid results they automatically send to the lab. She ask for his information and puts me on hold. NOW she says if he wants pcr test he has to come back in for the test. Why would you tell me they to the lab automatically, and now you change the story. I realized they were about 10 minutes from closing so they just wanted to shove him along. Sorry MedExpress but it's human health so show some care. read more

I came in last night around 7:45, it was 15 mins till their closing...I note this because I really do feel like it impacted the front office nurses response. I believe I pulled or tore an intercostal muscle but don't want it to be a hernia in the worst case. Clearly in visible pain, not being able to move and having trouble breathing, she informs me their not accepting any patients right then even though the building was completely empty of any other patients. I know this because as I stood beside my truck trying to get in, the nurses walked outside, locked up, got in the cars and left me in the parking lot struggling to lift myself in my truck...I understand covid has made it very hard for doctors and nurse but where's the passion of just being genuine and helping someone in need. read more

I know places like Med Express are struggling to keep up with Covid, so I want to be understanding, but it was a pretty terrible experience and I never even ended up getting help despite showing up 3 times in 24 hours. I called beforehand asking if I needed an appointment for a covid test, they said it was walk in. My husband and I drove there Tuesday morning and call. They had one physician and were backed up but told us to come back at 5 PM and took our info to make sure we were on the list. We came back at 5 PM, they tell us to pull around and wait for a physician to come to the car. After 45 minutes we call and ask about our status. They inform us there was a medical emergency with a patient and it would be 2 hours before they could see us. I understand the emergency, but multiple cars including ours were parked out back waiting for Covid tests, and they just never reached out to let us know what was going on. They suggested we come back in the morning. We came back this morning. They tell us they're out of covid tests and don't have enough physicians. So at this point, I'm just so frustrated I went there 3 times in 24 hours and never received help. I would have preferred them telling me from the beginning that they couldn't help with covid tests and I would have moved on. read more

Went here for covid 19 testing - called ahead to make sure they could take me. I pulled up into a spot and my intake was done and then I waited 55 minutes and still hadn't had someone come test me. I called back in and they said they had the wrong phone number because the lady who answers the phone had entered it incorrectly. they reassured me that it was now corrected. Had the testing person come out and test me. Then their giant tent fell on me when she went inside to get the nurse practitioner or whatever they are. No apologies or anything. Then the doctor that came to examine me DOUBLE reassured that my phone number was correct as that was how I was going to receive my test results. She even went inside and checked. They told me most results come back 2-3 days after the test. It's day 6 today and I finally decided to just call them - they told me my test was negative and the results were in. I asked what phone number they had on file and they ONCE AGAIN had the wrong one!! Incompetent and irresponsible and I will not be returning here. How do you make a play out of messing with people's health?? read more

Good Evening My mom was wrongly diagnosed with a sinus infection at Med Express and given antibiotics.  Days later she felt sicker and we took her to the hospital (this Sunday that passed).  The doctors diagnosed her with atrial fibrillation and water in her lungs.   She was given medications to bring down her heart beat.  This did not work so they did some tests to see if she had blood clots.  When this came back negative they were able to proceed with giving shocks to her heart.  Her heart beat came back to normal after a week.  Thank you for misdiagnosing her to the point that she almost died.  Please congratulate your staff and whomever hired them for doing such a wonderful job!  Thank God for our educational system!  They produce the best nurses and doctors. Shame on you!  STOP THROWING ANTIBIOTICS LIKE CANDY.  YOU HAVE A 2.7 out of 5 SCORE!  WAKE UP!  This is the second time my family has been severely misdiagnosed.   NEVER AGAIN! read more

I was a little hesitant to use this place due to the previous reviews people have left but they definitely exceeded my expectations. They thoroughly discussed my symptoms with me, discussed possible illnesses, and went through with a variety of testing to rule out any serious medical issues. Just went to this Med Express because my boyfriend dislocated his shoulder completely out of the socket & of course we did not see the signs that said to call before coming in unless a medical emergency because we were rushing to get him some help & when we entered the building every single staff member was EXTREMELY RUDE yelling "YOU CANT COME IN THE BUILDING" and my poor boyfriend is standing there with his damn arm literally hanging clearly in a great amount of pain... before he could even tell them what was wrong to even SEE if it was a medical emergency we were basically rushed out the door with dirty looks.... I'm sorry but the staff here are rude and clearly do not care to help people who are in need. Do not waste your time here with the dismissive staff. VERY DISAPPOINTED. I understand Covid protocols and completely respect them but I think maybe the staff could have assessed the situation instead of yelling at a patient who clearly needed medical assistance. My daughter broke her finger yesterday, like deformed, backwards broke, I took her here at 7:33 and they said they were closed to new patients/registration. They are supposed to be open till 8 and they had the OPEN sign on and visible. They told me to come back at 8a today. I got there at 7:45 am, spent 10 minutes navigating through their online registration all while the people at registration just sat there looking at us. There was also an older gentleman that could not figure out what to do with the QR code and they wouldn't help him! I had to stop registering my child to help him. After registration, they called us up to tell us they didn't have an X-ray tech! I realize that everywhere is short staffed and things are crazy but you should be able to see urgent office visits until close and have back up and the staff available that you need to be an urgent care facility. Just very frustrating and hard for a little girl in pain with a broken finger. I didn't feel like the ER was appropriate for this situation so that's why I look for urgent care. So I tried to go to MedExpress yesterday to be seen. After paying my copay and waiting to be called by the nurse to be "triaged", they finally called. I was feeling so ill with massive nasal congestion, really sore throat, lethargy and a cough. After letting the nurse know this is what I came for, she promptly said to hold on a minute... when she got back on the line she informed me that the doctor who was going to see me is not comfortable seeing me without being able to have a chest X-ray. EXCUSE ME?! The doctor would not see me because they couldn't get a chest X-ray because of my cough! I asked whether I could just be seen anyway because maybe it isn't a major chest issue and I was miserable. Literally in tears. I was point blank told no and referred to one of the other locations, as well as told I would receive my copay that had already been paid. This is disgusting. You CANNOT refuse Medical treatment to someone. I did go to another MedExpress, relayed what had happened and they were appalled. It was not ethical to turn me away without even laying eyes on me.
