1 star -- Don't waste your time (literally) at Media Time. I arrived at the mall with an hour before a doctor's appointment and expected basic competence -- doors open at 10am, right? Not for Media Time. Someone left a sticky note on the door: "Be back in 5 minutes." I waited 45 minutes, left three voicemail messages, and still no sign of life. Peering through the glass, I noticed their display clocks couldn't even agree on the hour -- poetic, if they were shooting for "timeless." If you value punctuality, reliability, or the simple concept of opening when you say you will, go somewhere else and save your time. read more

Tick tock. Tick Tock. My guys watch stopped ticking. It was time for a battert. We went to a jewelry shop first and they told us they don't change batteries. This time It was Media Time to the rescue. We experienced fast and friendly service. The battery was quickly changed in a matter of minutes. Prices were reasonable. They have a lot of neat things here. They do watch repair, band changes, batteries, anything watch related. They sell watches. I'm not sure of their prices. read more

Walked in after I thrifted a watch that wasn't working. Told the worker I wanted to see if I just had to get the battery replaced or if there was another issue in less than 5 minutes walked out with a new battery and functioning watch for less than $20. Media Time to the rescue...again. I've been here several times before and always had a great experience. Last week I bought a watch online and needed the bracelet tightened. They did the job, and when that made it too tight they not only put the link back in, but found another way to make it fit. They were helpful, easy to work with, and reasonable. This might be a good spot to buy bands and get your batteries changed but I do not recommend buying any new watches. Most, if not all, of their merchandise is overpriced; they will tell you you're getting a discount but the watches are still way above MSRP. Also, they are not compliant with California state law and do not tell you they have a no refund policy. No signs are displayed on the merchandise nor at the register/checkout that all sales are final. These shady businesses practices are making it more difficult for people to trust and support local sole proprietorship businesses. read more

Great place to adjust the size of my new Link Bracelet for the Apple Watch. Walked in and was immediately helped. Although they didn't seem to know much about the Apple Watch, they knew exactly what I was asking for. The person working was very patient to ensure the size adjustment was to my desire. He went above and beyond, taking special care of my Apple Watch Ultra while removing the links and integrated lugs on the watch band. Was in and out in less than 15 minutes. I went in for a new battery and decided to have my watch band replaced. This store has a shady owner that did not disclose the damages when they happened during the course of his work. I followed up with a call looking for a simple apology and he would not even give me that. Please be warned if you have something precious to you do not trust this store or the owner. You need a place to have your watch battery replaced at, right? I've been coming to this place since my LA move in 2001. It's the only place I've used and it's great! It's located inside the Burbank mall (upstairs near Dairy Queen), the owners are nice (older couple), the husband does the fixing/replacing whatever you need. They can do it on the spot or in 15-20 minutes, based on what they have going on. For me it's OK either way, I can always look around, shop, etc. It's nice, fast, well done, good customer service. $10 for battery replacement, make sure to get their loyalty card (after 6 batteries replaced the next one is free!), and get it stamped each time you go. I love loyalty cards, it's great for a frequent customer. Media Time is a reliable store to have in the area, it surely comes in handy. read more

Had my automatic ORIS watch serviced there and now it doesn't work. I was told not to wind the watch and to only wind it automatically by moving my watch hand! Why? It should be able to wind up both ways. I've had this watch for over 20 years and now it's not working. I am so sad and very disappointed. We were strolling though the mall taking advantage of the air conditioning and my dad stopped in here to check out watches. The gal who was working didn't pay us any attention while she was having a loud conversation with some guy in the store (in another language so I have no idea about what). She helped us a few minutes later after he left. Meh...not great customer service I would say to not even say hello to customers coming in the store. We thought about it, had lunch and came back. My 2nd experience there is why I am giving this place 5 stars. This lovely older woman was working (turns out she and her husband own the store) and she was really great. We got the watch, they adjusted the band and it was a good price. I would go back to this place in a heartbeat. Also, the parking was easy and free and the store is fairly close to one of the parking lot entrances so you don't have to go far into the mall if that's the only reason you are going. read more

We talked about some watches I wanted to buy and he gave me great understanding of how some are better than others from a mechanical point of view that I never thought of. Very highly recommended. The owner ordered a new battery and tested it thorough to make sure that it was the battery, not something else. The store also has an excellent selection of watch bands. The owner and his wife helped me to chose the best color for my other watch. I bought a beautiful lizard leather band made in France, just beautiful and very good quality. For the owner Richard, his wife Ann, and their good friend Vic, I would give Media Time 5 stars... I am giving 2 stars b/c of the female employee in the store. I agree w/all the descriptions of that gal in other reviews. She bent the piece that covers the back of my Baume & Mercier. She tried to ply it open w/a small hammer for 10+/- minutes; she was pounding on my $2000+ watch. I was thinking, "Where are Ann and Richard?" Ann and Richard are the older lady and older gentleman described in other reivews; they are the owners of Media Time. They both have helped me and my husband for many years, and they change batteries in all our 10 watches from hundreds to thousands of dollars. We trust their quality of craftsmenship and services. My husband and I told the female employee that the owner Richard never pounded on my watch. She asked us not to worry. She gave my B&M back with no battery changed, but left a gap between the back of my watch and the watch itself. We told her that the store was going to be responsible for the damage she caused. She refused to give us contact information of or call the person in charge. She called security on us. We filed a complaint. The owner's wife Ann kindly asked a good friend of theirs Vic to help me. My husband and I were happy that Vic saved my watch. We both appreciate how Ann handled the business. The evening we went to the store to pick up my watch, the female employee was also in the store. My husband flat out refused to go into the store as soon as he saw her there. Vic, thank you so much; ur great. Ann & Riichard, come back soon; your customrs miss both of u. This is the place to take your timepiece(s) to be repaired. It's in the Media Center Mall in Burbank near the Burlington's. Fast, friendly service, very knowledgeable, and reasonably priced. I needed 2 batteries and a new band. The whole thing took less than 15 minutes INCLUDING the time to adjust the band links. I not only recommend- I'LL BE BACK!!! read more
