13 Check-Ins So the 3rd location opens up in my old neighborhood and you know I had to check this location out . There's a reason I have been a customer for 20 years ...Uhm that would be because they make the best shawarmas in St Louis area. In fact, this family has been for well over 20. years back when they owned the old Salaam Market in Ballwin, MO Original Palestinian beef 5/5 : Now this is how a shawarma should be made. Juicy and fresh hot halal beef accented with tahini wrapped in "the bread". Oh and let's not for get the pickle, lettuce and tomatoes that just complete the sandwich Whichever location you go to , you're going to get a great quality food!!

The falafel sandwich was delicious. Option of spicy or not. Not dry at all. Fries were crispy. Friendly and fast service.

But right off the bat was one of my pet peeves: QR menus. Maybe when the pandemic was at its worst, they were necessary, but we've learned to live with it, so let's go back to physical menus. The service was super friendly, with our server training a newbie. We started with the Arepas con Platanos Maduros, a corn cake with veggie crumbles and platanos. They were really good. I'm always up for a dish with maduros, so I was happy to see this. For our main course, my boyfriend got the jambalaya, while I got the mushroom ravioli. He loved his dish. Mine was decent, but unless you love brussels sprouts, you may find them a bit overwhelming. I found myself wishing I'd ordered the katsu sandwich. (They were out of the maitake mushroom dish that looked interesting.) For dessert, we got the dark chocolate and tahini budino, a rich mousse, and the cinnamon bread pudding that was coved in a toasted aquafaba whip that was just divine. If, like me, you don't drink, you'll be glad to know the restaurant has a few zero-proof cocktails. I loved my Smokey Orchard, smooth drink with zero-proof whiskey, apple, rosemary, and lemon. My boyfriend got the Rhinestone Cowboy, which does have alcohol. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend it to folks visiting.

I had checked online and was concerned about portion size, but the meals were perfectly portioned. I got the chicken enchilada bowl and it was very yummy. It was a little spicier than I was expecting and the "sauce" was almost a queso, but it was incredibly fresh and light and I didn't finish it. A friend ordered sweet potato fries and a lemon cupcake for us th split. The fries were jus barely overcooked so they kept sticking to my teeth, but the dilly-heavy ranch sauce was divine and went perfectly with the sweet fries. The lemon cupcake was super moist and delicious. I wish I had paid more attention and gotten infused water from the entry instead of the plain water from the dispenser. Perfect lunch, will definitely go back!

So Awesome!! - - - -…read more- - - - August, 2026 Visit Yes!! This is our second time here, and our daughter has been here countless times. Today we needed to fuel up before starting out on a road trip and we did just that - fill up with tasty goodness!! It was a mid-afternoon departure; I debated on how much to each; we filled up just enough, and had leftovers for later in the evening; a fantastic dining experience, in-restaurant and in the hotel once we arrived in NW Indiana. Tim was a great help, welcoming us, helping with the order and delivering our food. We enjoyed: - steak wrap with side of veggies - Steak and Asian veggies - a side of brisket - oh so good! - Steak wrap, which was as good 5 hours later as it was in the restaurant The lemongrass pesto sauce is so amazing you can drink it and just enjoy the goodness as it overwhelms you. We also enjoyed the fountain drinks... 80% cherry cola with a 20% mix of the lemonade - quite nice!! Thanks, Lona's Lil Eats!!

Great spot to walk to on a nice day! There's also a lot of parking beside and behind the building, so no excuses on having a tough time getting there. There are 2 doors in, 1 for pickup orders and 1 for dine in. The dine in door leads to you a line/maze that ends at the front counter (where you order) this gives you time to look over the paper menus, or the tv menus boards. I went with the paper ones since the boards were hard to see from that distance. (Old eyes I guess!) It was odd that the dine in door maze went past a cooler and soda station for pickup orders. Ordering was easy and the young lady was helpful in explaining what was spicy or not. We got the big Thai wrap and a seasonal noodle bowl. They also give you a number for your table and directed us up a ramp to the dining area. The ramp/floor isn't consistent in its slope, so pay attention when walking up there. The dining area is painted in bright colors, with funky light fixtures and chairs. Very bright and colorful. There was a musty smell in the area that we sat, which reminded us of an old basement. The food came out pretty quickly and looked great! We enjoyed both dishes and agreed that the spicy eggplant was our favorite flavor. The plan for next time is the seasonal noodle bowl with chicken, spicy sesame sauce and chopped spicy eggplant on top. If you have the opportunity, give this a try!

The star was the mango milkshake- a bit pricey for being so small at $9.99, but it was so delicious and perfectly sweet. I'm still craving it now a few days later. My friends got the Dubai Chocolate milkshake and we are begging for it to be apart of the permanent menu! It was so good and had nice little crunchy pieces inside.
