Tried Frida's for dinner with a work friend and had a relaxing evening. Quiet enough for conversation which was appreciated. We parked on North and South after discovering much of the parking in the nearby U City neighborhood is permit only. We were seated right away and the service was unrushed. The decor is hip, and the menu is full of healthy options, well marked to help those with dietary preferences. I got the salmon, served on mashed potatoes and asparagus. The fish was a bit overcooked but still tasty. My friend got a burger which was good. We both ordered espresso martinis which were delicious (I'm picky). A lovely evening. Oddly was not asked if we wanted dessert. Simply got the check. We sat indoors but there's sidewalk seating for those who prefer.

The restaurant is a cute space. Love the decor. The service was great. Super attentive staff with lots of recommendations. 3 stars is just for the food. Honestly nothing special about it. It wasnt bad but it wasnt anything I would seek out again. I ordered the coconut curry & added shrimp based on servers recommendation.

Random Wednesday Friend's dinner, bar seating please! Surprised to see some new items on the menu, let's go for the California Chicken Sandwich add Cheddar with a side of mashed potatoes, aioli on the side. Delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed this dinner. Nothing fancy, but straight to the to point. Cooked well, fresh, hot, seasoned. A well made meal, what's left to ask for. Balanced pinot noir in the O.P.P brand. Cloud cake for dessert, it's like a cinnamon cake with freshly made whip. It's light, not overly sweet, just enough to round out the evening.

Lovely upscale vegan-forward restaurant with pescatarian options. I loved the way the menu was laid out with an easy numerical coding system to make you aware of the dietary components of each dish. Hubs had the "steak" bowl (gluten & soy protein) and he said it was fantastic. Gluten is not on my list but I did taste a shred and it was amazing. I had a large salad and salmon which was terrific. He also had the avocado chocolate mousse. I had a small taste and wow was it yummy. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was fantastic. Food was clean, healthy, and delicious. Highly recommend!

I liked my visit to Frida's. I ordered the Black Bean Burger accompanied by Skinny Fries. The meal hit the spot. I sat outside on their patio while my son played with his toys and watched the world go by. The customer service was great, John and Leah are good at what they do. After my wife got off work, I recommended to her that she check out Frida's. I parked off Gannon Ave. Thanks!

Decided to treat my sister to the Easter brunch special at Frida's that was advertised through my email. When we got there we were greeted with a warm, friendly face. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was not. We both ordered pancakes, I got the coconut. She got the blueberry. We got a side of vegetables and beef tips. This is all vegan.... to my surprise, Everything was horrible minus the beef tips they were just OK. The pancakes were terrible, they were gummy and hard to cut , my sisters pancakes. Taste like cardboard .... We were very disappointed! We paid the bill and left to go to treehouse. I do not recommend this place for vegans the image of the pancakes. Look nothing like the image we received.

this place was a delight! the vegan menu is about as extensive as the non-vegan menu. they were able to adapt an item to make it vegan for us as well! here's what we ate and our thoughts: -sunflower meat taco (adapted to be vegan) and it was great! it tastes like a classic taco bell ground beef almost?! super fun since that's obviously not a thing. -pasta con broccoli was SO tasty. we almost didn't get it because we eat pasta at home all the time and we were both so glad we got it! -"the classic" (vegan) was DELICIOUS (had me doubting if it was truly vegan for a minute) -spring rolls a little bland but still tasty -hummus was very good overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back! reasonably priced, great ambiance and delicious food :) the servers were all very polite as well. thank you, frida's!

I was very excited to try Frida's, have been wanting to visit for a while. Sadly I was disappointed with both the food and service. It really wasn't a busy night (Tuesday), but the service was very slow and a bit chaotic. Our waitress dropped a plate and ketchup spilled all over the floor, onto my pants, and shoes. The spring rolls had no flavor and didn't taste that great. The Mediterranean salad had no flavor, just tasted like lettuce. The tacos were basically just lettuce as well, the sour cream saved the tacos and we asked for a bottle of Cholula which added flavor. The tacos were supposed to come with a side of slaw but that never came. The saving grace of this meal was the Frida's burger. It was absolutely delicious - it did come with slaw, the flavor was great, it was filling and tasted very fresh. I wouldn't reorder anything other than that burger, would recommend that for sure. The womens' bathroom had sanitary products and hair ties, which I thought was very kind.

I was visiting St. Louis for the holidays and I've wanted to check this place out for awhile. We had reservations and were seated shortly. The decor is very cute and they have a lounge and bar area to the left when you walk in. The restaurant seating is to the right. When we were seated it took awhile for our waiter to get water and help us. He was very apologetic as they seemed to be short staffed. We weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a big deal. We ordered drinks- an our husbands margarita and the hibiscus margarita. Both drinks were strong and good. We started with hummus, which came with a pita. I would have liked cucumbers or more things to dip, but it was good! We ordered a station no 3 burger, skinny fries, grilled zucchini, and the enchiladas. My burger was okay- next time I would try the black bean to compare. The fries looked good, but were dry and underseasoned. I think the restaurant is careful with oils and salts which I appreciate, but it just could have been cooked better. The grilled zucchini was simple, but flavorful. Really the stars for me were the drinks and the hummus. I would come back but be selective of what I pick. Overall experience 3/5

The food is good. The worst service I have had in years. It took 40 min for hummus to come out. Probably would not come back

But right off the bat was one of my pet peeves: QR menus. Maybe when the pandemic was at its worst, they were necessary, but we've learned to live with it, so let's go back to physical menus. The service was super friendly, with our server training a newbie. We started with the Arepas con Platanos Maduros, a corn cake with veggie crumbles and platanos. They were really good. I'm always up for a dish with maduros, so I was happy to see this. For our main course, my boyfriend got the jambalaya, while I got the mushroom ravioli. He loved his dish. Mine was decent, but unless you love brussels sprouts, you may find them a bit overwhelming. I found myself wishing I'd ordered the katsu sandwich. (They were out of the maitake mushroom dish that looked interesting.) For dessert, we got the dark chocolate and tahini budino, a rich mousse, and the cinnamon bread pudding that was coved in a toasted aquafaba whip that was just divine. If, like me, you don't drink, you'll be glad to know the restaurant has a few zero-proof cocktails. I loved my Smokey Orchard, smooth drink with zero-proof whiskey, apple, rosemary, and lemon. My boyfriend got the Rhinestone Cowboy, which does have alcohol. Overall, it was a good experience, and I would recommend it to folks visiting.

This place did have fresh food, I'll give it that. But, it definitely lacked in aspects that didn't make it amazing or something I'd really suggest unless someone I knew was vegetarian. We were served quickly but definitely felt like the staff had a very "meh" attitude. It's a very specific type of place, mismatched furniture, kind of eclectic. It gives very "lived in vibes". The food itself was okay. The steak dumpling were probably my favorite but I wish there was more options for dipping sauce rather than just chili crisp oil. I ordered the big Thai wrap, and while it was good, I had to ask for extra sauce because the lettuce was just overwhelming, like there was just a giant wad of it thrown in there. The wrap itself is a rice paper so you really can't put it down when you eat it or it just falls apart. But, overall, with extra sauce, rearranging things a bit everything was generally good. Would I go out of my way to go back? Probably not but it's definitely a great place to try for yourself.

They just opened in April and I finally got to check it out this weekend. Currently, they are only open on the weekend. First impression, the inside is spacious with minimal decoration but adorned with many plants. It brings out a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. They also played some calming music in the background. The owners were an old couple and they made us feel so welcomed. They walked us through the menu and checked on us regularly to see if everything was to our linkings. The menu offered a wide variety of selections. I ordered the Hong sao mein, Crispy Suji Filet Bento and Five-spiced Dried Tofu. Our favorite was the bento because of the Suji filet. It tasted just like Taiwanese Crispy chicken with flavorful seasonings. The noodles soup was comforting and light. The broth was not oily and salty at all. The fake meat patty tasted like beef, super soft and tender. The five-spiced tofu was a bit salty so you would need to eat it with rice. They offer free hot tea and you can make yourself at the self-serve station. They have a big parking lot located next door but you can also park in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this restaurant and I would come back to try out more dishes.
