If you want some outstanding fresh pizza and sandwiches, look no further. Mediterreaneo has been a Westminster cornerstone forever. The staff is nice, service is prompt - freakishly fast, the prices are average and the food keeps you coming back. Best thing they do: pizza. The Sicilian standard is my favorite, while the white pizza is my wife's. Their sandwiches and pasta are well built and balanced. The one misgiving I have is that the gnocchi can be way too salty at times. The shopping center management did the owners if Mediterreaneo a disservice by allowing a Little Caesar's to open just a few storefronts away (literally 2); and I'm telling you, don't waste your time or money with that product. The only reason this place is getting two stars is because the person that took our togo order was so damn nice! I think it was the owners son? But other than that our food was terrible. We (my boyfriend and I) both got shrimp Alfredo and I was so excited, but when we're got home (1) all of the sauce had leaked out of the containers .( 2) the pasta was a sticky clumpy mess I could cook better in the microwave! And number (3) and worst of all the shrimp were so over cooked I could barely swallow them. Which tells me they either don't know how to cook shrimp and pasta or that they cooked every thing and reheated it. Then my boyfriend came down with dysentery and I am praying that I don't next. So yes people very nice, if only the people in the kitchen knew how to cook!!!! read more

Went here expecting great things from the previous reviews. Had the cheesesteak with everything and my friend had the chicken parmigiana. The cheesesteak was terrible, tons of vegetables (peppers, hots, lettuce and tomato) and sauce but BARELY any meat. Not happy. Awesome food, awesome owners, awesome wait staff.... The best true authentic Italian food in 50 mile radius. Probably out weights most restaurants in Little Italy, Baltimore, Md. They will make anything you ask with the freshest ingredient. I incorporated two dishes I liked into one entree off their menu and it was delicious. Take family from out of town, small gathering and local for their first experience. It won't disappoint. This is my favorite restaurant in Westminster and has the best food in the area compared to all of the other restaurants in Westminster. All of the food is extremely authentic and homemade unlike some of the other restaurants in the area. Every pasta is really delicious, the pizza is amazing, the salads are homemade and have great toppings, and everything is just really good. It also has the fastest service I've ever had at a restaurant. I don't really know why it's so fast but I never have to wait long for food long and everything is prepared really well. Very friendly servers also and the people who own the restaurant are passionate about their food. Love it!! read more

i got the vegetarian ppanini which was the best panini i had. bread was fresh, all the vegies were yummy! im giving 4 stars for the AWFULLLLLLLL Gelato! oh my god what was that. it was 99% sugar powder (not sugar because powder has a funny bitter taste when its used), and 1% chocolate and other stuff. it was tha nastiest ice-cream or gelato i have ever had!!!!!!!! read more

Four couples get together each month for dinner and social time. We had been to the old Mediterraneao so we thought we'd try the new one. It's a nice, inviting facility. We always make reservations because a lot of places don't have seating set up for 8. When we arrived, the hostess looked at us like we had 3 heads - obviously unaware of our reservation - the good thing is that they had 3 tables set for 8. After perusing the menus - regular & specials, we started to place our orders. On the specials menu it stated that for $3 additional you could order a side salad. When we ordered we were told that the menu was wrong and that salad (large)would cost six dollars. After all the orders for taken, we waited for what seemed a normal amount of time and then the food started to come out - in not so normal order. 1st a Calzone, a few minutes later some Gyros, then after a minute or two, a veal parm, then another parm, then the other Gyros, and then finally, the last person's Grilled chicken salad. Total delivery time 10 minutes. There was never bread offered - what's an Italian meal without bread? A couple of us had beer - never asked if we wanted another! Our waiter is definitely UNTRAINED! He was just an order-taker. The kitchen staff needs to get their act together. The saving-grace in all of this was that almost everyone's food was good! The Calzone was skimpy - 1 piece of meat and a little cheese. Overall consensus: Not coming back soon! read more

Went to restaurant sat evening for dinner. Ordered the italian sausage with peppers and onions sub. First bite of the sausage my stomach told me to stop, Should have listened to my stomach. 4 bites later I was done eating what tasted like and had the consistency of ground saw dust smothered in cheese. It's not an authentic Philly Cheesesteak, but a cheesesteak does not have to be "Philly" style to be very tasty. And that's what their cheesesteak subs are: Very Tasty!!! Every time I pass thru Westminster I stop here and get one! The price is reasonable, the roll tastes like its freshly baked. The restaurant is squeaky clean as are the restrooms. I have to eat gluten free food, so when I found out that the Mediterraneo served gluten-free pizza, I was excited. I called in my order on my way home from work and it was ready for me with my own little pizza cutter. The pizza was ok, it could have had a little spice to it. I added Oregano to it and that helped. This restaurant understands gluten free! Recently my family ordered carry out, which included a gluten free pizza for me. I have recently discovered a gluten intolerance and have been very aware of where I can eat. Typically restaurants will give a disclaimer that the food could be cross contaminated with other gluten food choices. Mediterraneo impressed me when the gluten free pizza in the box was on an aluminum plate to prevent cross contamination and came with its own gluten free pizza cutter for me to cut the slices to ensure the other pizza cutters didn't contaminate it!
