Came to Alfeo's for dinner last night. Our first time visiting. My significant other's parents had eaten in Alfeo's before and they never had a bad meal. Alfeo's is in a cute shopping center next to a vintage store in Glyndon. In all my years of living in Maryland, I have never been to Glyndon. Our server was Olivia and she was the sweetest. She walked to our table with a smile and asked what we wanted to drink. I was impressed that she asked if I wanted lemon in my water. I usually have to ask for lemon! We ordered the grilled calamari and Italian cheesesteak and it was the best ever grilled calamari and Italian cheesesteak I have ever had! The calamari was crispy and the Italian cheesesteak bread was toasted enough that its hot but not soggy. I didn't take any pictures but everything looked delicious as I described. This is definitely a place worth going to and the prices are reasonable. read more

Stopped in again, just to see whether my Nov 8 experience was somehow aberrational - it was not. Top-notch service with a smile, tasty food (the half-and-half crab soup could use more Old Bay though) and fair prices continue to make Alfeo's a winning combination. A couple of our friends recently moved to Reisterstown, so we have begun exploring restaurants in a new neighborhood! It was Friday, which is game night, so we needed something that was easy to eat while holding cards, and pizza seemed to be the right choice. Everyone would have been satisfied with Little Caesar's... Everyone but me. Muwhahaha, I guess. So we got two pizzas - one pepperoni for the basic bitches, and the 14" Arugula & Goat Cheese Pizza for the more adventurous people (coughcoughmecough). I really enjoyed the pizza. The goat cheese wasn't overpowering. The crust was thin and I happily gobbled up two slices. Unfortunately, there were six adults, and the two pizzas didn't last long. So they ordered Little Caesars. I went out of my way to try this place. Someone recommended their lasagna. When I say I went out of my way out of my way about 20 to 25 minutes. Let me tell you I was not disappointed. I don't know how they layered that lasagna, but it was a heavenly beefy lasagna. You taste the fresh herbs. It was the first time I had a layered lasagna in that way. Now I will judge other lasagna based off of this one. Give it a shot. It's across the street from the Santonis. You won't be disappointed unless you like to complain and don't have tastebuds! We've had okay meals, good meals and really great meals and everyone we bring here always returns. They love it! This is an Italian restaurant so when I read a less than stellar review for lamb chops, I thought it was ridiculous. Who comes to an Italian restaurant for lamb chops? The myriad pasta dishes are all very good. We had a fish dish from the "Specials" menu and it was superb. The Angus burger is great, the pizzas, calzone....I could go on. The prices are very fair and as far as no wine available , we always bring our own and there is NO CORKAGE Fee! The service is always great. If it's a little slower, we prefer that. But they always apologize without being asked, more in the vein of letting us know something will take a little longer. Five stars and all A's. read more

Delicious food and outstanding service. We had a fantastic server named Bina, and she was terrific in her recommendations and personality. I came with friends who come here often; however, this was my first time. I started with the Maryland crab soup (the "Red" one). It was delicious with a little kick and full of lump crab meat and lots of vegetables. The soup was very filling. Next, my house salad with dressing on the side came. Usually, I'm not too fond of creamy Italian dressing, but this was incredibly good. The restaurant was bustling when we arrived, and the website indicates that reservations are recommended. We called to make a reservation and were told only for 4+ people. I won't downgrade the rating, but you should modify the website to indicate reservations are only taken for 4 or more people! For my main meal, I ordered Shrimp and Crab penne. I asked to have tomatoes instead of sun-dried tomatoes, and it was not a problem to substitute, which is a sign of a great restaurant with a great kitchen and fantastic staff and ownership. One member of our party has to eat gluten-free dishes, and we were told that all of their dishes can be made so that a person who can't eat gluten can still enjoy them. Another party member got the whole Bronzino, a giant and filling fish! The other person got the mussels appetizer, which was so large that it could have been a full meal, and also the half-and-half crab soup, which is half Maryland crab soup with half Cream of Crab soup. I've had it elsewhere, and it is very good, just not what I felt like. The food was so filling that I got a to-go box for half of my main meal. I wasn't originally thinking about dessert, but our server provided the dessert list, and the Chocolate Bomb sounded so good. And it was!! It was a mix of spumoni flavors in a hard chocolate shell with chocolate and cherry sauces on the bottom of the plate. Oh, so good! If you love chocolate, you'll love this dessert. We couldn't have asked for a better dinner between the amazing food, Bina, our bubbly and super-friendly server, and the restaurant itself. Though I came to this restaurant from a distance, I will most certainly be back. This is a restaurant not to be missed. I highly recommend giving it a try. read more

I don't know why they went up on the price on Uber Eats but that's what they did. Now there charging extra for the chicken and toppings for the Alfredo meal, it's like 10 dollars more from what it used to be. On top of that there Alfredo sauce isn't all that anyway for them to be charging all those extra add ons read more

I love when the ambience, food, and service are all aligned. Let's start with Jennifer. The best. She asked the cook to combine two meals into one smaller one for the people behind me. Seriously, a sweetheart. The food was great. I got my usual Mozzarella Moons which never disappoint (even when I order to-go). I adventured out to the Shrimp Penne Vodka which was so flavorful. Came here for lunch with friends a couple of years ago & while planning the first, of a few, mini reunions I thought I'll bring us together at Alfeo's. Well, we've enjoyed 4 mini reunions and this restaurant, never lets me down. This last time there were about 18 of us. The menu has something for everyone. You can bring your own wine, single checks and the tables are set up so you see practically everyone. We love it here and as long as they will have us we will keep coming back. This time. I had the eggplant rotini, someone has a steaks, there was chicken piccata, someone got crab cake (2 humongous ones), the 4 crab ball, everyone was happy and we all agreed to the 5th. read more

This is the 3rd time we have been here, everything we have tried has been excellent! We have had the pizza, Frutti Di Mare, shrimp, crab meat, scallops with a creamy alfredo sauce! Wow! You have to try it! Tonight I had Seafood Medley, shrimp, scallops, crab meat in garlic cream sauce, what a treat!!! Owings Mills is short on good Italian food in my opinion. Maybe I'm spoiled. I enjoy little Italy eateries downtown. Alfeo's will suffice when I have a taste for a pasta fish with a Caesar salad. A good friend treated us to dinner takeout and I really wanted pasta. I ordered Tortellini Al Forno and my husband ordered the fettuccine bolognese. Both were delicious and lasted us for 2 meals. I am excited to visit the restaurant with our family soon. A hidden gem, for sure. read more

It's been a while since we we've been there so we decided to try it again . Their prices are very reasonable and the food is ok. Wasn't very busy so I'm confused why our food wasn't as hot as it should've have been . The chicken cheesesteak looked and tasted like a pile of sawdust on a roll. Chopped way too much and the cheese was under the meat . Putting the cheese on top would have given a better appearance and kept the meat hotter. Toppings were missing . Friendly staff but very slow service. The pasta was fresh and perfectly al dente. However the sauce was watered down and lacked flavor. I had the Alfredo sauce and it was too much garlic and too many onions. I've never had onions in Alfredo sauce, and had to pull them out of my dish. I was very disappointed with the dish and never had such watery sauce. They need to improve on the recipes or hire an experienced chef. I don't think I will return, but I wish them well. read more

4x we have been there. 8 different items. All were exceptional. Salad good Chicken parmigiana excellent Baked ziti meat sauce the best Meatballs really good Service superb. The only thing I would change is the garlic sticks. No better Italian food around. We eat there every Monday night now. read more

This is sweet spot in Glyndon. The food is always consistent and delicious. The pizzas are always a hit, and if you like white pizza give it a try with grilled chicken! Three of us dined there last night and the food and service just seems to get better and better. My linguine and clam sauce was perfect, accompanying salad was fresh and crisp and the focaccia garlic bread was flavorful and hearty. Tortellini Al Forno was delicious, good sized portions. House salad and Bruschetta were just okay. Chicken Piccata was excellent as well. Cajun Chicken Alfredo was perfect for our daughter who doesn't like food too spicy. Service was great, we came early evening before it was busier. Fantastic new ownership and management. This place has transformed into a must stop place in this area. The food was spectacular, and the pizza was the best I've had since coming to Maryland. My wife had a cheesesteak and said it's the best she's had in a long time. The ambiance is also great because of the personality of the staff and the overall feel of the restaurant. Glyndon Grill was packed, so decided to pop over and try alfeo's. Microwaved food, slow service, expensive prices. Maybe it depends on what you order, people around us seemed to enjoy it, but I took two bites, paid and left. Won't be back. read more

Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was delicious. As well as the cream of crab soup. I ordered right before they close but they were very kind and professional. I got all of this to go and it came with some bread as well. I was very surprised by how good the Alfredo was. Highly recommend! read more

It took 3 visits until I found an excellent dish at Alfeo's. More in a few minutes. The first visit I ordered a cold cut sub. Easy enough, right? We'll, had the meats been sliced correctly, maybe so. But they were cut thick, and the meats were very chewy. I tossed most of it out. Then other diners requested this restaurant for our night out. So I figured being in Maryland, can go wrong with a Crab Cake. Their version tasted ok, but had a good bit of filler. It was seasoned ok, but without a lot of sweet lumps of crab meat, it missed the mark. Still other friends recommended them again. Figuring a social evening trumped mediocre food, we agreed. And I'm glad we did. THE PIZZA was a big hit! Perfectly cooked crust, chewy but pleadingly so. They are generous with the toppings, and I'm now looking forward to my next visit JUST for the pizza. This was the first of what will be many visits to this establishment. It is close to our home and we saw local reviews and wanted to give it a try and we sure are glad we did. My wife and I ordered the chicken masala and gnocchi entrees and they were both excellent. We also split a tiramisu and it's definitely one of the best in town. Let me just say, their Stromboli is the bomb. If in doubt, order the Stromboli with pepperoni and real tomatoes.

Ordered take out and sadly the food was mediocre. Nothing bad but nothing good. Being Italian, it's important to know how to cook pasta, so overdone pasta is a bummer. read more
