I walked in just because I was in the area and mentioned that I had long term skin blemishes from my easily bruised skin. I had been taking Arnica both as a salve and orally for a couple of years. These guys are the best!!!! I have a daughter who requires many different prescriptions filled among which are unique compound mixes that most pharmacist are unable to fulfill. We were using the CHOC pharmacy and just stumbled onto this place when CHOC was unable to fulfill an order for us. My wife and I have been so impressed with their service. It started from the first call we made to them with the warm feeling and assurance that they were able to provide. They were willing to help carry items out to the car when it was just my wife who had her hands full with our infant daughter. They provided extra supplies at no charge. I was beyond excited about this pharmacy based on the great reviews they have. It is sad to say that I am shocked and disappointed at how my friend and i were treated. Let's start by saying that I am a health care professional, PA, and I have never felt more disrespected in my years in practice. The owner/pharmacist Shar is very arrogant and thinks she knows better than the doctors. she tried to convince me that my medication was wrong and was recommending all sorts of other medications that would benefit her as a compounding pharmacy. Not what I expected of a small pharmacy. The rest of the staff seemed petrified of her by the way so that was a huge disappointment as well. read more

Hengameh remember this name when you go here, this kind lady has a heart bigger than Texas! I called when leaving from Santa Monica after I located their Pharmacy on Google searching for medical supplies. When I spoke Hengameh on the phone she was so kind and very helpful yet I didnt recall her name when I finally arrived from dealing with the brutal Friday I-405 traffic. I walked in and was asked how I could be helped, I mentioned I had spoken with a nice kind lady over the phone about needed supplies, that's when I met for the first time, Hengameh a true living Angel on earth. Hengameh knew who I was immediatly from our call. She proceeded to go so far above and way beyond expectations of customer service, I was truly taken back by her generosity and genuine care I had to take a moment to collect myself as I started to tear up from her caring of my hospice patients. I knew she would never get to know or meet my hospice unless she was to go on the free delivery service Med Life offers for patients. Hengameh has made me a life long and loyal client my first visit. This rare independently ran pharmacy that offers 5 star services the big ones don't like free delivery, various insurance help, discounts and more. I am currently with Kaiser Insurance and was referred to this pharmacy to obtain some compression socks. This pharmacy reminds me of the old pharmacies from long ago. As someone who has moved around the country quite a bit and been on medication during most of that time, I feel l have plenty of experiences with different pharmacies to which I can compare MedLife and Shar (who is the owner). Several years ago I had an acute issue and went to see my then physician who was around the corner from MedLife. I needed medication ASAP to treat the issue and they recommend that I go there. I have been thoroughly impressed since day one. Shar was amazing at getting my prescription ready immediately and took the time to review it with me in the most kind and knowledgeable manner. She asked what other medication I was taking to make sure nothing would have a contraindication. We got chatting and she said that if I'd ever want switch my other prescriptions to her pharmacy that she would be happy to help me. I didn't feel pressured or that she was just out to get my business- just that she could make my experiences easier (I had complained a bit about my current pharmacy - CVS - that I was only using because it was conveniently located.) I didn't make a decision at that time but not long after I had another issue at CVS with them never answering their phones and never having things ready even days after my doctor had called the prescriptions in. I decided to call Shar (who got on the phone right away (which happens every time I need something or have a question). She helped me move my prescriptions to MedLife and my experience since then has been stellar in every way. They actually make sure they have refill prescriptions on hand before I remember myself. That on its own is great. They know me when I come in or call. Shar has been a wealth of knowledge and she is so caring. Even though I leave further away and my work is in the opposite direction, I don't mind making a special trip once a month to get refills. I've gone there for my flu shot every year and take my kids for theirs there. I would give more than five stars if I could. I usually use CVS for all prescriptions, but my daughter was prescribed a specialized medication for her acid reflux by her doctor and CVS doesn't make compound medications so they directed me to this place. My experience was wonderful - as soon as i called them, the man on the phone was extremely friendly and direct and the process of giving all my insurance information was smooth. They called me back promptly to let me know that my insurance won't cover the medication, but gave me an exact quote on what i would be paying out of pocket. They even called me back to let me know that the medication was ready to be picked up, and when I picked it up, they were super friendly and professional and explained everything to me. It's a much cozier and more welcoming and knowledgeable atmosphere than CVS.. basically, they're like modern day apothecaries as opposed to regular pharmacists. The team at MedLife is seriously amazing! I care for a cancer patient and his level of care has changed for the better thanks to Shar and Hengameh. The team will fight for their patients to ensure that the right medications are available (and paid for by insurance). With all of the red tape around some of the drugs that cancer patients are prescribed it takes people that really understand how to navigate the rules and restrictions and MedLife will take those worries from the patient and bear the burden themselves. I have had trouble with other pharmacies with either sending me incorrect medications, not having the medication that I get every 30 days, or lying about contacting my doctors (while I'm standing in the doctor's office). It has been a very long, hard, frustrating road of trial and error ... until I found Shar and Medlife. My very first visit I was told that they would get all of my prescriptions (and there are many) on the same schedule so that I would be able to pick them all up, at the same time, once a month. They would also ship them to me, if I chose to, at no charge. They transferred all of my meds from a couple of other pharmacies without me having to lift a finger. Shar also recommended a compound lotion that has been a huge relief for the neuropathy in my hands. I'm called (or sent a text) if there are any issues regarding my meds. I haven't needed this service yet but I will also be able to get any compounds or medications I might need for my beloved cats at Medlife. I am a person to this pharmacy instead of just a number. The staff is always helpful and incredibly friendly and they know me by name when I walk through the door. Had my first experience with this pharmacy today and was very impressed. I called multiple other pharmacies before calling their location, in search of a nebulizer for my 3 year old son. I was searching for an affordable nebulizer, but had been told by other places that the cost could me over $150! When I called MedLife pharmacy, I was greeted by a helpful employee who seemed genuinely interested in helping me. When I spoke with other pharmacies, the staff members sounded like it was a hassle to speak with me. The employee I spoke with informed me that the had just sold their last nebulizer, but immediately special ordered one (and a pediatric mask) for us and told is it would be ready the next day. Every visit, she'll take time to visit with you and see how your health and life are going. She's genuine, and truly desires to make you feel better. I hate leaving bad reviews so I'm giving them 3 stars...I came here a month ago because they had great reviews and Walgreens is always soo busy and will never go back.! I came in to drop off my prescriptions and they basically wanted me to tell them EVERYTHING about why I was taking the prescriptions, it was like being interrogated and JUDGED. Last I checked they were not my doctor. I expressed how I felt and they said that all pharmacies do this, I've been to plenty of pharmacies in my life and I've never had to explain my medical history before. I have never felt this way. Although my Walgreens is super busy the customer service is outstanding. I will not stray again. read more
