Just sent my college-aged daughter there since it's covered by our Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. She seems to have bronchitis and cannot quit coughing and has had a slight fever. We are all losing sleep at night because of this! She waited over two hours (and had made an appt online). The nurse took a throat swab, and then doctor came back to tell her test was negative and to go home and take some Claritin or Zyrtec. My daughter asked for help with the cough, and doctor told her "can't cure a cough". The doctor spent less than 5 minutes with her after a long long wait. and did NOT listen to her chest or look in her throat. I'm betting we'll have to send her elsewhere for some real help if cough and fever keeps going. Total cost with ins. - $170. Won't be going back. read more

Doctor was really nice, if a little rushed. Receptionist was quite friendly. The nurse was a piece of work. Obnoxious and self absorbed in the trials of her job. It's a shame a what would otherwise have been a positive experience was so completely ruined by the way one supposed professional chooses to treat those she services. read more

Came in got brought back into the room, and they tell me that the doctor won't see me because they went to lunch so it will be a 20 minute additional wait. I could've gone somewhere else and would've been seen immediately. I didn't leave because they would charge anyways. Horrible place. read more

I would have initially given this place a 5. But when I tried to call that same afternoon regarding questions from my visit.... Was told by some guy at the main number that they would call me when my test results were back. I again asked him if there was any way to speak with anyone at the Katy location. He told me that the doctor was with a patient but he would give them the message. I was told I would receive a return call from the doctor that day or in the morning..... Well NO return call. For seeing a doctor for 10 minutes they charged me $200. They didn't have the medicine my daughter needed on hand so I had to go to a pharmacy to get her hive medicine. The plus side was the wait was short and they had snacks. read more

I went in with a broken foot. They and other customer's were very accommodating and nice. They let me know what was going on and my wait time. They called me after to tell me the results from the other Radiologist and urged me to go to a specialist. All very friendly. This visit exceeded all my expectations. The staff there was excellent and performed all work both promptly and professionally. They treated me for a bug bite which turned out to be merely a splinter (a thorn). However, they handled me very kindly and did much more than most doctors I have been to in the past would have done. They didn't try to upsell me or charge me for excess procedures. All was laid out in the initial cost. I will not hesitate to return if I need medical work. read more

Great for the whole family. 3 members of our family have been here and they are wonderful. Fast, friendly, professional and great nurses and doctors. These are not your bottom of the barrel doctors you quite often find in clinics. There's a variety of coffee, and snacks that are spread out through the clinic. There's coloring stuff and toys waiting for the kiddos in the waiting room and the exam room. I will only use this clinic and it's a 25 minute drive. read more

If you can't get in to see your doctor on short notice this is the best place to visit. They are quick and caring. They have most diagnostic equipment they need. I have been here for the flu, colds, and sinus infections over the years. They also accept most insurance coverages. read more

I love this place. Very clean, very professional and most importantly very fast. Once they get you in they are very thorough and care to give you the time you deserve to get it right the first time. They have great pricing too, a visit to my primary is more expensive and I always feel rushed. My co-pay insurance is 80/20 and I've had to only pay $30 for my visits. Terrible service and front desk person with no knowledge of anything. Just went it today with my wife for basically have a refill prescription since she has herpes and she is pregnant. Her case is not serious since she already had it before pregnancy. Lady at the front told us they would not do anything since she needed ultra sound and many more exams what is a LIE. That same lady sent us to a Emergency Room and they were shocked they sent me there. I'll end up paying thousands of dollars just to get a prescription refill. Today was very tough to find a doctor since it is December 30th and no doctor is working but urgent care and emergency room. read more

They're very nice but the system they have really sucks. They give you an iPad to insert all your medical information. Part of the body that hurt. Lists from everywhere for pharmacy information. It's very lengthy. I understand they do this but when I'm sick I don't feel like doing their job for them. Plus the iPad screen protector makes it hard to insert info and it's dirty. This is the place to get sick. I'll stick to other places. read more

Very nice facility - lots of spacious rooms with on site sofa and TV. But the waiting time is horrible. I had flu-like symptom. It took me two hours to see the doctor and another one hour to get the flu test result. Thanks for the TV otherwise I do not even know how to kill the loooooooog waiting time. It was a monday morning. When I got there, there were only two people in the waiting area. I do not understand why it still took so long. The flow did not seem well organized. The staff is so helpful and friendly, and the doctors really listen to you, and take the time to hear your problem. They are really fast too, without comprimising quality. I was pleasantly surprised when I went here for what turned out to be a bacterial infection. There was very little wait and I was seen by a doctor, NOT a nurse or phyisican's assistant like other urgent cares I've been to in the past. The rooms are squeaky clean and have TVS in all of them. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After visiting their urgent care I had to jump on a plane for a previously scheduled event. When I called the next day with worsening symptoms, Med Spring was able to prescribe a more effective antibiotic while I was out of state that I desperately needed! The second antibiotic worked great and I felt better in 24 hours! Very satisfied patient. read more

I come to this urgent care frequently, for myself and for other family. It's quick, clean and convenient, but I won't be coming back again. After coming Friday afternoon, I was told that if my cough didn't get better over the weekend then to call them back and the doctor would prescribe antibiotics. It's Sunday afternoon and nothing has changed so I called back and left a message with the front desk asking for the antibiotics and a cough suppressant, as I was never prescribed one. I was assured that the doctor would call me back as soon as they were out of the patients room. Over 2 hours later I still hadn't heard anything so I called back. The lady at the front said that the "Doctor is just now responding and he says you need to come back in for a revisit." When I reminded her that the previous doctor had said I could call back and get antibiotics she said that wasn't their policy. When I asked to speak to the doctor she said he wasn't available. If I knew I wouldn't have been able to get the antibiotics now I would have taken the antibiotic script when I left but now I have to go pay another co pay on top of any prescriptions because someone doesn't know their policies. Pass. I will go to a doctors office that cares about their patients and not just about making another buck. read more

I have visited medspring about 3 or 4 times at different locations, and this was my first time visting with Dr. Nguyen. I prefer not to go to the doctor at all because of the long wait and extra nonsense. But I had to go somewhere immediately and this was the place. I was so surprised to be seen right away. Dr. Nguyen came in the room right after they took my vitals and everything, and got straight to the point. He was able to let me know what was wrong and tell me what to do to get better. I can honestly say that I went in the doctor's office in extreme pain and very agitated, but the receptionist was very helpful and Doctor Nguyen saved me from having to go to the ER. I was feeling better within 3 days. I hope that if anyone ever visits an urgent care, their experience is as great as mines. read more

This facility is excellent. I have my doctorate as a nurse practitioner but in my field we don't have prescriptive authority which made my family's trips to Medspring necessary. The practitioners at this facility are caring and listen to the patients. They were thorough and explained everything in details. Our wait times were minimal. I was very pleased with the treatment my family received on our two different trips to Medspring. I highly recommend them!! read more

My parents were visiting from out of town and my mom has a pretty bad fall. She complained of hip pain so I took her to Medspring. The doctor said nothing was broken and it was probably a bruised muscle. When my parents got back home my mom went to her doctor who discovered two hairline fractures. Months later we had college students stay with us. After they left I started having rashes and itching. I looked it up and was convinced it was scabies so I went to Medspring. The doctor said it was an allergic reaction. I told her no, I haven't changed anything that would cause a reaction and the rashes had all the signs of scabies plus my wife (who was sitting there with me) started to develop the same rashes. Nope. The doctor insisted it was allergies and prescribed a regimen of steroids. After the course of treatment my body was covered with rashes and my wife was worse so we each went to our primary care doctors who each immediately diagnosed scabies and prescribed meds. Nice people and clean place but when it comes to actual medical care not the best choice. read more

Horrible experience. Since I was sick, my wife went to pick up my prescription. She went to the pharmacy that the prescriptions were supposed to be to find that they had not been called in. After spending way too long on hold with the clinic's Austin corporate office (that's right.... You cannot even call the Katy clinic direct), we found it was called into the wrong pharmacy. Thought that would be the end, but - wrong. She gets home with the meds to find they had called in something different than what I was told it would be..... Which led to more time on hold. We were eventually able to speak directly to the doctor who admitted that the wrong meds were called in. He said they would call the correct in and we could return the incorrect prescription for a refund - wrong again. Now we have twice the antibiotics and overspent by $85. Thanks Medspring. Not mention that the Dr has no time to actually discuss anything with the patient during the visit. Feels like they are just trying to pump as many people through as they can. About the only friendly person in the place was the receptionist. read more

I went to medspring urgent care yesterday with my son Nicholas for a sports physical. and from the start it was a great impression the way they greet someone on the phone ... very polite & outgoing as soon as i was transferred directly to the Katy (front desk) to recieve the correct directions to the facility. Although it took me 25 min to get there I was so glad Medspring was open due to getting off late and unable to get to my child's pediatrician on time. So as I got to the facility opened the door I was greeted with a "HI, welcome to Medspring." I don't know if I have ever been greeted that way at my doctors office. I loved it, it made me feel welcomed. As I proceeded with my visit I was offered to drink & snacks. Not only that but this facility had wifi & a tv. My son and I were not going to miss the Miami heat game at all. (I had forgotten i was at at a medical facility) so thank you Medspring for providing a tv in the rooms. Over all my visit was only 20 min long, I figured there was going to be a long wait but not at all. Speed of service was quick and accurate. Also medical service was incredible, made sure we had all questions answered and we understood everything even though it was for a simple physical. I do give them a 5 star. These urgent cares may be popping up here and there. But I will admit this is the best urgent care facility Once again, I loved the staff .... And I will be returning to Medspring in the near future. read more

My son needed 4 stitches for a cut on his arm. The process took 4 hours total and cost $60 copay. It doesn't get much better. But, it got better, the doctor was outstanding, spoke with us the whole time she was stitching. My son did not feel the shot and watched her work while asking her questions about becoming a doctor. She was very friendly and helpful. Also, this was a Sunday evening. I have had bad experiences with other urgent care locations in Katy. I would definitely recommend Medspring. read more

They are not even close to be human...A friend of mine hurt his finger and I took him to this place.....He had insurance and I had cash and all my credit card...The receptionist told me to leave as soon as we walk in...I told them first I am the one who is going to pay for the consultation and I will be seating in the waiting area to see what is going to happen to him...He called the police...And they refused to helped my friend who was bleeding...There is no hospital can refuse to help someone who is bleeding...We had money and insurance...They are not human...I have hire an attorney...And I will take them in court...They are far from to be human... read more

I just came out of this Urgent Care with my 2 year old daughter. I brought her due to apparent allergic reaction. I have meet today the worse doctor ever, she was unhelpful didn't seem to really care and came out of there with no solution at all. The only help I got from there was from the nurse. I went for a pre-screen/drug screening for a new position. I waited about 50 minutes before I ended up leaving. Med Spring is the place my new company uses for the drug screens, and I will be sure to let them know, they make you wait behind patients that are coming for urgent care. I was told by the receptionist that the drug screens are done in between patients. That is ridiculous, and a waste of time, not to mention I needed to use the restroom really bad, but I held on 50 minutes, to no avail, after I went to the receptionist again, she said it would be another 20 minutes! read more

No fun to have a sick child, especially outside of our family doc's office hours, but the experience was great. The check in was easy, we had no wait and the doctor was kind, quick and to the point.
