We are from Denver and look forward to Meeder's when we go to Chautauqua each summer. It's a bit of a drive but worth the trip...true small town cafe with delicious made from scratch food and pies. The owner, Bob, is friendly and is always back in the kitchen making sure everything is fresh and amazing.

Food was good. I had the Meeder melt which was a cheeseburger and french fries it was great! I had the chocolate graham cracker pie I really enjoyed it because it was not overly sweet and the graham cracker crust was delicious.

Very thinly sliced meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetable plate - 3 bean salad, a watermelon fruit dish.

The food was good: Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, 3 bean salad and a few chunks of watermelon. The meal was rather small but only because I got it free from a card issued to senior citizens from the Chautaqua County Office for Aging Services. Am thankful for the meal but hsd to go home to fill up the rest of the way. It was a nice drive anyway. Thank you Meeders. The waitressesvwere very nice.

Ahhh, an American diner! Nothing quite like it! A very expansive menu, all kinds of breakfast, lunch and dinner choices. Specials, Coffee cups that stay filled, friendly wait staff who really want you to enjoy your experience. And then there are the desserts. Anyone who loves freshly baked pies needs to check this place out. I recommend the strawberry rhubarb and the apple rhubarb pies. This place does not disappoint.

Ordered a sausage pepper and onion sandwich with fries. Sausage was way over cooked, dry and tasteless. Fries were way over salted. Not a pleasant experience. We did notify the waitress who said she would let Sheila know. We'll nothing more was said. After looking up the restaurant and learning of several health violations I am sorry we chose to have lunch at this establishment. On a side note, most of the good reviews were about the pie.

Delicious melt with fresh cut fries.

Small town family restaurant where everyone is family. The place to go when you're in Ripley. Leave room for the pie

A husband, wife, and their son run the place with the husband doing the cooking and the wife and son doing everything else including bussing, serving, dishes, and seating. They were really hustling. Unfortunately, the latte I ordered was not the most flavorful start to our morning, and we couldn't figure out why it was so weak. Their brewed coffee was much better. I had the western omelet and my better half ordered a California bagel egg and bacon sandwich with avocado and cheese. My omelet was overdone, maybe cooked at too high of a temperature, but tasted okay (a second longer and it would have been burnt). The bagel sandwich was good but had a similar issue with the bacon being almost burnt. Maybe that's how they make stuff here? We were starving so we ate every morsel. We loved the ambiance and the history of the place. It's worth a try if you're in Mayville.

I don't know if the picture does it justice to jshow how large it really was! since I got a combo, it came with eggs as well as choice of breakfast meat, which I got sausage. The side of homemade applesauce was actually for the regular style of pancake I got which I was just curious what that would taste like together as I've never had it before. I enjoyed it, but actually liked eating them both separately more. Everything came out of the kitchen quickly and I could tell this is definitely a popular morning spot with locals as the owner and other staff were very friendly and on a first name basis with many other patrons inside. Definitely my kind of spot. One thing to note is this place is cash only, so keep that in mind but I do believe there was an ATM on site as well.
