The place looks really nice! We went on a week night , and it was not busy at all. We picked where we sat and were tended to quickly. First : there is no official kids menu - but they have one, just ask for the kids menu choices and they will tell you. I enjoyed the food, the portions were very fair for the price. Flavor was good. The bruschetta was enjoyable. My husband got the spaghetti and I got the meef special. I would recommend it to people who are looking for a pasta place. The food was quite good as Italian restaurants go. Much better than a couple other Italian restaurants that we have been to in the Miami Valley, The marinara sauce (which initially came with the calamari) was surprisingly tasty! So often marinara sauce is undercooked, bland and tasteless. This version was hearty and very flavorful! In my opinion everything depends upon the quality of the marinara sauce, because marinara sauce is the basis of so many dishes. We started the meal with calamari, which was tender and tasty. For dinner my husband had the veal marsala which he enjoyed very much. One piece of the veal was a bit tough; but the other piece was tender and good. The red wine sauce with mushrooms over the linguine was quite good as well. I ordered the lasagna which was quite plentiful and very good, again because the marinara sauce was so good. We were told the meatballs were made on site, so I ordered some, just to taste. So often meatballs taste "bread-ie" in Italian restaurants, but such was not the case here! They were very light but meaty. The meal began with a side salad that was lackluster, to say the least, and the wine list could definitely use some improving. The service was great but I must share that the restaurant is not terribly attractive and could definitely use a facelift. This was our first time here and we will be back, hopefully. There were a few other diners in the restaurant but it was terribly quiet. It was a Tuesday night, around 8:00, which could explain the quiet. I hope they survive and get better still! read more

I truly wanted to love this neighborhood restaurant and had high hopes for our New Year's Eve dinner. Unfortunately, the experience started on the wrong foot when making the reservation. Phone etiquette matters--it is the first impression for any customer, and this interaction felt lacking. Upon arrival, we were told to simply pick a table. Again, first impressions count, and this felt disorganized rather than welcoming--especially on a special evening like New Year's Eve. I ordered the veal francese. While the portion was generous, the veal itself was too thick and tough, with excessive breading. The dish was served with fettuccine, which felt too heavy for francese, and there was no option to choose a different pasta. My cocktail was also underwhelming, as the glass was not filled. I understand rising costs and the need to manage expenses, but presentation and balance matter, particularly when guests are celebrating a holiday. This restaurant seems to be at a crossroads: deciding whether it wants to remain just an "okay" restaurant or strive to be a great one. With better attention to service, presentation, and detail, it could be much more. Sadly, if things do not change, it will remain simply okay. Cute little place we found for lunch one day. Reese has a little lunch menu offer smaller portions at a cheaper price. I did order the bruschetta which is not on the lunch menu actually an appetizer and was much larger than I anticipated the flavors of the bruschetta was Incredibly well mixed. Cheese was very fresh bread was crunchy and the balsamic was not overly sweet. Pasta also had a good flavor and balance of broth and noodles. My friend got the pasta chicken Alfredo with the sauce and the noodles did not disappoint. The service was excellent making sure our drinks were filled Without question. Looks good but food is either scalding hot or 40 degrees. Out of calamari the mussels tasted off. We're all concerned about getting sick tonight. Lady not nice waiting on us not rude but not nice. Restaurant was empty for our afternoon lunch. The waitress was attentive and friendly. Menu seemed very extensive. Food was basically just adequate. My partner had a meat lovers calzone; he said it did not contain a lot of meat. I had a bland veggie calzone. I won't be running back, but it wasn't terrible. read more

I went there for lunch with a friend on the weekend right when they opened. We both got bolognese lunch portion. It was so big I questioned if it was the lunch size. The flavor was amazing! It was perfectly cooked pasta and made the taste buds smile. The garlic knots were loaded with garlic and butter and were very good as well. Service was friendly and excellent ( we were only ones there) food came out very quickly. My friend also got the pepperoni pizza and it was okay nothing to brag about. But the pasta is outstanding. We like Jimmy's Italian in the Oregon District and this definitely is right up there if not exceeding Jimmy's. We will definitely be back. read more

We came here for a family birthday celebration. There was no wait time, our server was so friendly, and the food was delicious! My lobster ravioli was amazing. The chicken piccata was perfect. The chicken Marsala was pretty good but a little too salty. We ended with canoli and lemoncello cake. The Lemoncello was SO GOOD! Lots of natural lighting. Inside decor is dark and calming for evening meals. Seating is mostly tables and chairs. They offer sidewalk seating for fair weather days. We bought our meal to go today. We enjoyed the many dishes. Margherita pizza, veal pastaria, pasta fagioli minestrone, eggplant parmesan and chicken diavolo. Main dishes came with a side salad and garlic bread knots. Just had the veal parmigiana and it was phenomenal. Came with spaghetti and it was delicious. My wife had the spaghetti with the meat sauce and said it was excellent. The portions are huge and the service is excellent. Highly recommended definitely freshly cook, you could hear him(the cook)pound onmy veal when I ordered it. The waitress said they've only been open three months so I hope they're here next time I come by to visit the area. If this restaurant was by me, I'd probably weigh 400 pounds, lol. read more

Where shall I begin? First of all the name!? But it's not in the name if you have good food. The pasta is over saturated with sauce. A true bolognese is meat and pasta, little sauce. Garlic Garlic and more Garlic. We tried several pasta dishes and pizza. All of it was Garlic Garlic and more Garlic. Terrible. The taste left after we were done. The margarita pizza was missing basil and tomato slices. Sloppy pasta dishes. Wet and gross. I understand that this is Ohio but common people don't give 5 stars unless you understand what real Italian food is like. Also there was some kind of mystery meat in the bolognese maybe pepperoni or salami. Chewy. The salad was just romaine lettuce and a slice of tomato... weird... The food here is not terrible, but I am pretty surprised to see a 5-star rating. My wife & I ate here 3 times, ordering spaghetti, bruschetta, baked ziti, and garlic knots. $24 for spaghetti Bolognese & $18 for bruschetta is steep for what you get. Additionally, the hostess gave us the distinct impression we were bothering her on two of the visits. I just can't give this place more than 3 stars with pricing and level of service. read more

Ate at Meef's Pasteria and was very disappointed with both the quality of the food and the presentation. We ordered the Bruschetta appetizer and when it arrived found that the restaurant had simply cut three garlic knot rolls in half and used those instead of toasted bread. The bread portion of the Bruschetta was only slightly toasted and had no seasoning. Placed on top of the toasted garlic rolls was a slice of tomato and mozzarella cheese. This appetizer was very bland. For the main course, we ordered the meat lasagna and the lobster ravioli. Both of those dishes were just average. The menu is very simple and does not state whether any of the main dishes come with any sides. Our meals arrived with side salads and two garlic knots each. The server stated that they only had two choices of dressing for the salads - Italian or Ranch. Both come in little plastic containers with the salads. My family went RIGHT after they opened. The service was good because there was only one other table. I don't think anyone knows they're here, yet. However, the staff, which I believe are all family, was very friendly and in love with their new business. And, most importantly, we all loved our food! The lasagna was unified and delicious, the Alfredo sauce was smooth and flavorful, the garlic knots packed a punch, and the pasta was still structured and added subtle good flavor to the food rather than draining flavor away.
