Arrived at 8pm. Staffed quickly informed us that seating area would be close due to cleaning. And all orders are going be dining out ONLY. Only to go orders. I order the shaved ice mango and strawberry size medium. It was delicious and fresh. The strawberries and mango were cut nicely. I have to return back. It was very delicious but I want the dining experience. Overall it was very clean and spacious seating.
We love Meet Fresh! This is mine and my hubs' favorite late night dessert spot. The Signature Icy Grass Jelly is our go-to every time. We love grass jelly and the taro and sweet potato balls! For a summer treat, we love the shaved ice here. We usually go with the Mango Shaved Ice or the Mango Strawberry Shaved Ice which is good to share with 3-4 people!
I usually get the Icy Taro Ball signature and I ask to replace the boba with grass jelly. It comes with taro balls, taro paste, potaro balls, and shaved ice. Make sure to mix everything together so the toppings aren't so dry. Solid dessert spot. They have drinks too which are pretty good. Lots of seating in this location.
This was my first Meet Fresh experience, and it definitely met and exceeded my expectations. We used the self-serve kiosk at the front for ordering and our desserts were ready in a flash. Funnily enough, my friend (without knowing) ordered a massive, shaved ice that could easily feed a family of 5 - all for herself. While hilarious, I would definitely recommend asking the staff about dish sizes if you have any questions. The shaved ices we ordered were both delicious. The interior was super clean even though it was pretty busy on the weekend. There is also an area for tray drop-offs in the back. Overall, a really nice experience. Would definitely recommend as a casual dessert spot.
My go-to Taiwanese dessert spot, there aren't many spots that sell this stuff. The shop has many seatings and with modernized decor. It can be crowded at times, but you can get it to-go as well. You can't really go wrong with any of the top seller items, but my go-to is the cold herbal jelly ice soup with taro balls (complimentary creamer). Sometimes, I get extra taro balls and a scoop of taro paste on the side in case of feeling indulgent and naughty and need a lil extra. The servings are generous and very filling, so be aware of over ordering, can comfortably share one between two. It is refreshing and satisfying to eat.
I'm beginning to think Taiwan is responsible for all delicious Asian treats! Every Taiwanese place I've come across has served up some delicious treat! They serve your usual shaved ice creams , waffles & ice cream and of course boba drinks. They also have desserts that I'm dying to try but too scared to actually do it. They have these milky soups that come with jelly like items. I just know the textures would be great! Nevertheless, this time I stuck to my usual shaved ice creams& of course it was delicious! You can't go wrong coming to this place!
This is a cute shop with a good amount of seating that serves dessert such as shaved ice and egg waffles. There is also a huge cute figure you can take pictures with. When you walk in, there is a kiosk where you can order to dine in or have your food to go. We wanted to dine in, so we grabbed a table in the back. The tables are clean, which is definitely a plus. The desserts came out pretty quickly. They are so cute that we took a bunch of pictures before devouring them. They also have a station where you drop off the trays and bowls. I would definitely come back.
I was trying to decide between grass jelly or tofu pudding, but luckily I didn't have to. I ordered Icy Grass Jelly with Tofu Pudding. The dessert came with shaved ice and condensed milk. I asked for syrup on the side for the tofu pudding. It was so refreshing and satisfying!
Meet Fresh "Taiwan Exquisite Desserts" is a place I've been wanting to go to. Since it was my first time, I went with one of the popular items the "Icy Grass Jelly Signature" They give you a beeper while you wait for your dessert to be prepared. The store has a clean dining area (choose your own table) and a place to drop off your tray when you're done. The grass jelly was delicious, not too sweet, and filling. Everyone was very polite. Afterwards, I checked out the neighborhood - also known as "Brooklyn's Chinatown" - there were street vendors preparing meals along the sidewalk. A few blocks away, there is a highly rated AYCE Chinese Hot Pot "Xiang Hotpot-Brooklyn" One could spend the entire day in this part of Sunset Park, lots to see and explore.
Everything I've tried here is so tasty - Icy Glass Jelly Signature, Winter Melon Tea with Mini Taro and Egg Waffle. You can order either through the kiosk or front cashier. The service is also quick. The only complaint is that the taro balls are hard when you get desserts towards the end of the day.
This a good place for Taiwanese desserts. You can choose from herbal grass jelly (hot or cold) and/or drinks. The servers were friendly. You can sign up for their loyalty rewards. Remember to check in to get a free drink! Please note that the credit card limit is $15. We ordered one icy grass jelly signature. The portion size was big and it came with a creamer. However, the dessert was sweet without the creamer. The reason for 4/5 was because when we opened the creamer it was chucks instead of liquid. Otherwise, the ambiance was cozy with free wifi in the store and seating areas for you to enjoy your dessert. Remember to return the tray at the back! Will recommend eating here again.
My biggest recommendation for this place is their strawberry smoothie ! It comes with lychee jelly but I always get it without. The cheese foam on top is such an amazing compliment to the strawberry smoothie.
Was looking a drink/tea spot with seating around the area. Lots of seating for those who would like to grab a drink or dessert and chit chat. Ordered the herbal tea and mango green tea. Haven't had their desserts but would like to come back and try. Service was really quick. You can order on a kiosk which is convenient.
Had Meet Fresh once years ago & haven't thought much of it until they opened the location in Brooklyn. The shaved ice here is of shocking proportions - in a good way! I was a bit doubtful of its size until we were presented with a mountain of shaved ice. Toppings are plentiful, and the vanilla ice cream is the good kind!! The ice itself is flavored with condensed milk and is definitely one of the better ones I've had. The shaved ice was veeery very icy and it was just a lump of ice with artificial flavor syrups on top.... which is what shaved ice is actually supposed to be, but I'm not sure how else to describe it a better way. The shaved ice tasted flavorless and mainly like plain ice. In comparison to other shaved ice places, good shaved ice tastes creamy. The shaved ice itself was HUGE and costed around $14-16. While it's very eye pleasing and Instagram-worthy, it felt like I was just eating ice. Maybe their other cold dessert dishes are better. Hoping to give this place another try! read more
I heard a lot of hype about this place and wanted to check it out. Got the icy taro ball signature which comes with taro paste, taro balls, sweet potato balls, and boba on top of shaved ice. Honestly, I was not too happy with this and the shaved ice was kind of like crushed ice that stuck together near the end. Each individual item listed here was not that good by itself. It needed to be eaten with the ice to make it taste a little better. I normally enjoy taro a lot but in this case, it wasn't the best. Delicious taiwanese dessert in the area!! The proportions are HUMONGOUS and so worth its price. They currently have new(ish) menu items like the ube signatures. We got a icy taro ball, icy ube ball, taro and ube signature paste and a purple rice #4 to go. They were all super delicious and super filling. It was not too sweet and not too overbearing with many flavors. This is great because my grandparents (who are diabetics) can enjoy desserts once in a while! I recommend downloading their app to earn points and ordering online ahead of time so you don't have to do it in person and wait 20 minutes. Next time I would definitely come back to try the shaved ice and drinks! read more

NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN!!! I ordered the desserts at 7:40PM and the ladies gave the items to a group of four people who ordered after me their order FIRST. The group of 4 also ordered a shave ice which took longer than what I order, but they received their orders first. This is not how you manage business in the food industry). What is WORST is that I received the wrong item in my order therefore, I called the shop and the manager (a lady) provided me with attitude. This is not the first time I received the wrong item. I did not confront the issue for the first time and since it is the second time, I was already speechless about the experience. read more
Alright, so I had their tofu pudding with taro... it was a huge miss! Their taro was big and chunky. I didn't like it at all. However, their shaved ice... amazing! It was a big portion so I understand why it was priced at $15. It can definitely feed 2-3 people. I got one of their signature shaved ice and it came with 2 different type of pudding, a few different types of mochi and a milky drizzle. The ice was refreshing and creamy. So excited to see a new dessert spot opening in sunset park! We tried the taro special with vanilla ice cream, grass jelly and taro paste & I was very impressed with the quality of their dessert. I have a soft spot for them soft mochi taro balls. We had something similar at Kulu but I think meet fresh does it 100% better. Great portion sizes and great flavors - we have already been twice in one week! My only gripe was that the shaved ice on the bottom was not as flavorful and I wish they would put more mochi/taro or ice cream instead of shaved ice. The interior was cute and the bathroom was clean. We dined in and also ordered to go and they packaged everything very well. Overall, a wonderful addition to the chinatown in Brooklyn! read more

Ordered many times from this location and they always got my order wrong. I always like to order extra sides and is always either missing or given me a wrong item. This time is even more ridiculous. Order their grass jelly signature with 3 extra sides. I was given a bowl of plain grass jelly with no topping and 2 sides only. read more
I ordered an icy grass jelly with red bean, taro, and boba to go. It comes with coffee creamer and I added a bit. It was so refreshing and delicious! The grass jelly and the ice underneath had a strong grass jelly flavor but wasn't bitter nor too sweet. The red beans were soft but still has a consistency when biting it and the taro was the perfect softness! The boba was chewy and not too sweet. This was definitely a great dessert/snack and I'd definitely go back. I shared the order with my parents because I thought the tub was too much for me to eat by myself! read more

What I love about Meet Fresh is their generous portions, and not overly sweet desserts. You're able to enjoy an entire bowl and still satisfy your sweet tooth. It's the perfect item for a hot summers day! At this specific location, we had a special: taro and ube with the ice grass jelly signature, a pudding and Q mochi shaved ice, and chocolate deluxe egg waffle. How beautiful do they look! read more
My first time trying this and I was very impressed with the variety of items, cleanliness, prices, and portion size. They offer bubble tea, waffle desserts, and customizeable Taiwanese shaved ice, sago, or dessert soup bowls. The expansive seating area and public restroom make it a great spot for a meet up or to study with an refreshing dessert at your fingertips as motivation. The desserts here seem to be more low-calorie and diet friendly compared to their American counterparts. Most of them are certainly refreshing as well. I ordered the Ube Milk Ice which was a shaved ice bowl with Ube syrup, ube and sweet potato rice balls, mini rice balls, boba, red bean, an a large scoop of Ube paste. There was a very low chance that I wouldn't like this because it had all my favorite things. I loved how it was the perfect amount of sweetness and the rice balls and boba were so soft and chewy. The textures here are a dream and even though it was a big serving, I almost finished it because of how light it felt. This was such a light yet satisfying dessert that I didn't even get a food coma after. I will definitely be back in the future when my sweet tooth calls! read more

This is one of the many chains around Brooklyn but consistently does well. Portions are large and definitely shareable with a group! Easy go-to spot for dessert if you just had dinner at one of the many great restaurants in the area. This location has plenty of seating and service is pretty quick. read more

What a fun place! I had the Mochi Milk Shaved Ice and my friend had Half Strawberry Half Mango. I thought hers was too sweet. But mine was just right! The ice cream on top was also good, too. The icees were about $15 each. I don't like any of the other toppings (mochi, jelly stuff) so the next time I visited I only ordered the shaved ice (which is flavored) with condensed milk. It was $10, huge and delicious. It reminds me of the Snow Cones I get in Barbados from the street carts. read more
New Taiwanese dessert place in the area, glutinous rice sweet treats and Boba drinks galore. No dine-in allow yet and counter staff were very accommodating about replacing shaved ice with honey syrup so dessert won't melt my takeout order. Got the Signature Taro / Boba/sweet potatoes sweet soup and liked it a lot. It has the right amount of chewy texture that makes it taste just awesome. Taiwanese dessert that just recently opened up in Brooklyn Chinatown. I've tried meetfresh in China before and loved it so was very excited when this place opened up. I've been there at least 5 times so far, first few times there were lines but i think they're starting to get less crowded. They have promotions every now and then. I once got a free dessert, and one time they gave free fluffy milk tea with order over $10. Everything is fresh and tastes good, the taro balls and boba are very qq and chewy. There was one time where they made a requested hot dessert cold. Sometimes they will give me a creamer cup and sometimes they won't so im not sure which dessert its supposed to come with. Other than that, they are pretty quick in making orders. Service is better than their manhattan location. read more

There'sa bunch of seating within the store from tables with chairs to booths. The shaved ice mountain was huge and soo worth it! But the start of the show was definitely the Jasmine green tea! It was soo refreshing and had a really nice tea flavor that came through and wasn't watery. read more

This place is always our family go to dessert place. The signature dish comes in a gigantic portion which feeds the four of us. We always check in uaing yelp for the free melon drink. Yum. The menu is so big, ranges from hot to cold desserts. read more

Delicious taiwan dessert and drinks that center to freshness and clean eating. Their herb jelly is smooth and amazing. I never thought of taro balls as a dessert which caught me by the surprise to find how it was a perfect match with the herb jelly, creamer, etc. the purple and sweet potato Mochi balls were my favorite. The texture was mastered to perfection since it was so chewy better than a boba. Their double taro signature also has ice cream and brown sugar shaved ice. Overall it's a match made in heaven. Another one of my favorite is their refreshing winter melon drink with small Mochi balls. They also offer winter melon and milk tea drinks, waffles, pudding, Mung bean cakes, etc. Definitely will be back to try other delicious items. read more

We had it several times in China and thrilled to find one in New York City. I was glad that we ordered only one shaved ice because the portion was massive, enough for four people. Milky shaved ice was perfectly sweet and the Red beans and taro were nice accompaniments. It was delicious and very much worth the calories. The scoop of vanilla ice cream atop the shaved ice was a little bit too much for me and I think the dish could do without. it was still delicious. I wish smaller portions were available. read more
I am a huge fan of Meet Fresh and was so excited to see it come to Brooklyn! The taro and sweet potato balls are my favorite and were just as I remembered, but I was a little disappointed by the texture of the ice. It wasn't the soft, fine ice I remember, but the ice pieces were rather large and crunchy with not much syrup over them. Hopefully this was just a slip up because I have always loved their shaved ice. Can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu! Also there is no indoor dining here right now but we were able to eat at the counter by the window because luckily no one else was there. read more

Always get the grass jelly with Taro balls. Sometimes I would order Uber eats and get the egg waffle. Heat it up at home and it taste great. Chocolate egg waffle reminds me a little of lava cake. Crispy outside and soft inside. Place is clean for the most part. read more

Meet Fresh offers Taiwanese desserts. I love their desserts! It's always light and not super heavy. I can't promise the sugar content is low, but YOLO - it's dessert. Their shaved ice is a spectacle and meant to be eaten in. It comes on a shallow bowl and it is a generously towering pile of shaved ice. Probably not recommended to eat alone and best to share. My personal favorite is the icy grass jelly and I customize with herbal grass jelly and brown sugar boba topped with condensed milk and cream. They have adequate seating inside and always has room. read more

Massive portion for the shaved ice with various types of mochi! The ice cream was delicious with texture similar to frozen custard. However, the shaved ice was very chunky - the ice wasn't really "shaved" and when we were near the bottom, we had to actually break the ice apart. The tables were also not clean but I don't really blame them since we came late at night. Overall, I would not get the shaved ice again but I would try the other desserts next time. read more

We ordered the Ice Grass Jelly Signature, Red Bean Soup Signature and Mango Passionfruit Green Tea. The taro balls in both were the best. It was pretty packed and honestly quite loud for 7:30 pm on a Saturday. Would come back though! Pro tip: free wintermelon tea if you check in on Yelp. read more

Accommodating staff and open late with seating. Taro balls are fresh and chewy. Mango shaved ice was a joke, pretty on camera, pretty bad in person. Shaved ice looks impressive but taste like an icy with no flavor, the mango sauce tastes super artificial and sickeningly sweet. read more
Wow a tower of ice ! I don't know if this location is different from the rest but something is missing. We ordered the Taro Volcano (summer special) and it was indeed a tower of ice and its topping siblings at the bottom. We weren't even given any milk to pour over our dessert for extra flavor. When we asked for the milk, they only gave us one container which was clearly not enough for our party of five. The rest of the toppings was pretty average as well. Very disappointing.
