I'm disappointed by my experience at this furniture store. When I initially walked in, two salesmen looked directly at me but did not acknowledge or greet me. The atmosphere felt uncomfortable, and after noticing what seemed to be another staff member making a remark while looking in my direction, I chose to leave because I did not feel welcomed. Wanting to give the business the benefit of the doubt, I called afterward to see if perhaps there had been a language barrier or misunderstanding. I spoke with Liz, the cashier, who was exceptionally professional, kind, and helpful over the phone. Because of her professionalism, I decided to return to the store to calmly express my concerns in person. Unfortunately, that experience was also disappointing. While I was explaining my concerns to the general manager, one of the salesmen involved appeared to be smiling or smirking, which made me feel as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. Aside from Liz, the overall interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. Customer service should make every person feel acknowledged, respected, and welcome regardless of who they are. I am a skeptical, researcher when it comes to purchasing anything. I have been to AFW, Ashleys, MOR and Bob's searching for a sectional. After visiting MOR in Avondale, my GOOGLE search popped up Mega which I had never heard of and was close by. I figured I should check it out. Walked in, was greeted by Karla and given a brief description of the sectionals I was interested in. I was happy to hear they were on sale and in stock. I came back a week later. After getting a discount on the sale price I, I showed her the same discounted sectional that I had looked at from AFW, a difference of about $100. She checked with her manager, Greg, and they quickly honored the price savings to me. I am thankful they played no games and gave me the best possible price and service. The store had exactly what we wanted. Store was helpful and polite. Where the problem came in was on delivery. We purchased 30 days before they delivery date of right before Christmas. They didnt call or show up. Now the day after Christmas, I HAD TO CALL THEM, and all i get was we can try for tomorrow because we already have deliverys due today. My issues are 1) They should have called us to let us know why the delivery was going to be missed 2) After the fact, they should have called us to say sorry and let us know we would be the first one on the delivery 3) They should have actually said or been a little apologetic for the mistake and make an effort to correct. Not just giving us an attitude and we will get to you when we feel like it. read more

This store is probably my least favorite furniture store I have ever been to. The employees were awesome and helpful, but the furniture on the floor showed a lot of defects and really poor quality. You can pick and choose wisely and get something that works, but over all it wasn't for me. I was really surprise on the prices they have knowing the quality of some of the furniture. First let me say, Eneida at the 99th Ave location was AWESOME! My fiancé and I had been living in our new home for 3 weeks waiting for a delivery from another furniture store that kept going on back order so we thought we needed to find something else. We found a sectional that we liked, Eneida was attentive and great. Upon completing the purchase, I was taken aback when asked to initial paperwork stating NO REFUNDS. We were however assured, we'd be taken care of in the event of a problem. We rented a U-Haul and picked the sectional up the next day (which was Saturday). We unboxed and put evet together. One of the three recliners did not operate. I immediately called to report the problem. I was informed someone from the warehouse would call me (keeping in mind, time was the essence since you only have 48 hours to report damage). I waited until Monday afternoon and eventually called back and was told to continue waiting but they would reach back out to the warehouse. A few hours later, I received a call from a young lady who appeared to have an attitude (I'm guessing because I called twice). This person had no compassion and told me I needed to send a pic or video of the damaged. I explained I could send a pic of the recliner but it did not operate so I wasn't sure what else to add. She then said, I need a pic as per the paperwork you were given 2 days ago. I took a video showin/explaining the problem as best as I could bad sent it. I waited until the next day and sent a follow up email as I got no confirmation they received the video. I'm now worried as they have zero return policy and zero sense of urgency in getting me a replacement recliner. Oh by the way, I just read their exchange policy and it states, the customer is responsible to return the defective/damaged item to them IF its even approved. They were so nice taking my $2000.00 but now I can't get anyone to reply. I shouldve went with my gut and not went through with the purchase after seeing the return policy. If it's too good to be true...it probably is. First- staff. When we entered, there was a man (I'm guessing the manager) who was loudly on the phone, never greeted us until we were heading to the back of the store..that should have.been my first red flag. Anyway, the sales associate we worked with was Eneida. She was very kind and not pushy at all. I would work with her again..just not at this location. Me and my husband visited the Avondale location, found a dining room set, and purchased. The sales associate and manager SEVERAL times assured us everything was in stock (as items not in stock was an issue we ran into with other stores). The manager went on to say, yes it's in stock and we'll have it delivered to you in 5 days. We're were excited and paid in full (again..too good to be true). So we again, pay in full, no financing, and leave. On day 3 (2 days before delivery) we get a call from the SUPER RUDE receptionist girl, who didn't even introduce herself when she called. She said well somehow the chairs to our order went missing. Like girl? So when I asked her what happened to them, she said "I don't know, but we'll call back when we can find out" Excuse me? So I pay over $1650 and you think "I don't know" is an acceptable answer? So...my husband and I end up calling because no one called us and spoke to the manager (John or something) and he was super defensive and couldn't give us resolution or explanation as to what happened with the chairs. My husband told him to refund our money, and his response was he would have to see if corporate would approve. Approve what? The fact that your sales team took a sale and knew items were not in stock?? False advertisement! So I tried calling corporate...no response. So at this point, I've disputed the charge with my credit card company and filed a complaint with the BBB. Oh but then..on the "delivery date", I got a text asking me to confirm delivery. Delivery of what? A table? No. The communication and CUSTOMER SERVICE at this location sucks, which is sad bc other locations we've purchased from were great. Went into the store looking for finance options. Was told to sign paper allowing them to run my credit. Was told what were my options, kindly declined offers that were given. A month later a credit card to mega furniture arrived in mail. I never consented to any credit card being open. Staff member told me I was signing to get my credit ran for the 90 day finance to see if I was approved. Credit card had my name misspelled, address was not even an updated address. They didn't have my correct phone number. And all this caused it to take a big hit on my credit. Returned to the store, and let them know what happened. They told me I would get a call from corporate, and I did and they were a pain to work with. I have not been able to get this resolved. When my husband and I went to purchase our bedroom set and mattress we were helped by Karla on may 28th we were told that our furniture would be here july 28 it is now aug 23 and still no furniture. The day of us purchasing our mattress that we picked out we were told that the mattress was in stock we would just need to wait for our bedroom set and we were okay with that but now we are waiting for our mattress to come in smh very upsetting that every time we call they push back our delivery date. I searched for months, looking for a living room set that I loved. I finally found it here- along with a dining set that I have been wanting for about 2 years! I stopped in three times, total. The first time, I don't remember who helped me. She wasn't really grasping what I was looking for, just kinda following me around. The second time I came in, Karla helped me. She spent a tremendous amount of time helping me find these pieces and getting me all possible discounts. I was unable to get the sets that I wanted initially (my own credit issues), however on the second visit, we were able to get me all of the pieces I wanted. This will definitely be the first place I stop when I'm looking for furniture, and hopefully Karla is there to help me! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because of the time it takes to receive items. I have been waiting a little over 2 weeks so far for two sofas, a coffee table, dining table, and four chairs. I will edit this review as necessary. First edit: 6 weeks later and I still have no furniture. I was told initially that it would take a maximum of 4 weeks for delivery. Now I'm being told that I would be called for delivery the week of the 13th, a total of 8 weeks from my date of purchase. I am not editing what was previously wrote but I will definitely not be shopping at this establishment any longer. do NOT come here. i ordered a special order from the kiosk and was told my vanity would take 4-6 weeks to arrive it ended up not coming until 4 months later. and told me the chair wouldn't be able to come until 3 months after the vanity itself was delivered. not only that but when they came and set it up the lights didn't even work. they said they'll come n bring one w working lights. never gave an eta when that would be. anytime i call they said they don't have the parts yet. here we are 7 months after i purchased this and no working lights. i paid almost 2k for a vanity with no working lights. and they won't even give half of my money back. what kind of place does this?? horrible company. read more

Thought we were getting a great deal, until our beds were delivered with no box springs. We were asked when purchasing if we wanted the bed and foundation (bed frame). After delivery, we found out that "foundation" to them is the box springs, not the bed frame. They have a clear price for the bed and a clear price for the bed frame. There is not one price in the store on any box spring. We were not told at all that box springs were not included with the beds, yet the price of the beds are the same as all other locations (that include box springs in the same price). The manager then tells us we can buy box springs for a discounted rate, WHAT A SCAM!!!! This was a horrible experience and I will never go back there again. If I could give zero stars I would and if I new this was the customer service I would be receiving I would have never bought from here. We ordered a couch and were told it might take 6 weeks do to covid. I called 4 weeks multiple times cause I kept being told I would get a call back never got one. Once I finally talked to someone they told me it was going to be on time. Then called on the 6 week (Same issue with no one ever calling me back like they said they would) to make sure it was going to be on time they advised me that yes it will still be here on time. I'm now on week 11 no couch no phone calls no updates. When I call they just kept telling me its going to be on time... which is the same thing they told me last time. Still cant get anyone to ever call me back which is annoying and rude. When you actually get someone they have no idea where your order is but if you get a different person they tell you part of your ordered has arrived but the other part of the couch hasn't and yet everything is still going to be on time! Which is what I have been hearing for 11 weeks now! Also Eric is never helpful and is always rude on the phone. I just want to talk to someone who can actually help me with this situation and let me know when my couch is actually coming. read more

Bought a couch set from Mega Furniture, 3 months in and one of the couches from the set broke. We contacted them and after giving us a hard time, finally came to repair the couch (with repairs covered under warranty). 9 months later, the second couch in the set broke and although we had a warranty, they refused to come repair it, they did not honor the warranty. They said it was "normal wear and tear" although the couches weren't even a year old. This company sells cheap furniture and doesn't stand behind the warranty they have for you to purchase (it's optional, but thank goodness we got it so they could at LEAST fix one couch) Do not shop here unless you're willing to put up with broken furniture and headaches read more

Went to the store to look for a bedroom set. We had found one online that we liked, however it was not in store. They set us up on "layaway", and told us when we paid it off they would order it and deliver within 2-3 weeks. Unfortunate circumstances happened, we are not able to complete the "layaway" plan. I called the store and was told that they don't cancel "layaway", and I will not get my money back. I can have store credit, but not my money back. First of all, they have not even ordered the furniture, so they do not have excess inventory. Secondly, I have not received any product for the money I gave them so they are essentially stealing the money. Don't shop at this place, and don't fall for the so called "layaway" plan. read more

We bought a couch from mega furniture and we FINALLY received it over a month later. Of course when we received it, it was broken. Every time we recline it back you can hear it cracking and breaking. We have contacted them several times. A technician came out to look at it once and didn't do anything to fix it because he didn't know if our warranty would cover it. Ummmm this is how it came!!! So you just sell broken furniture to people and expect them to pay for the repairs??? Absolutely terrible customer service and we will NEVER shop here or any other location again. I purchased a bed set on 12/10/17 was told that I could pick up next day, my husband went to the warehouse to pick up the set and he was told that the merchandise was not going to be available for pick up until the follow week. So the followed week I called to see if the set was ready for pick up and I was told that I had to wait for another week. Every time I called I was told that I need it to wait for one more week. Today I went in to the store to tray to cancel my order and I was told that I can not cancel my contract. So, it has been 8 weeks already and I haven't received my bed set. The worse part is that when I went to the store I was told that I still need to wait about 3 more weeks. So is going to take about 3 months to get something that I already pay for (but they probably are going to call in three weeks to inform that I need to wait another year). This has been by far my worse customer service experience ever. I do not recommend this store to anyone. It should be illegal for companies to take advantage of people this way, but they are smart enough to make you sing a contract were you agreed that is a final purchase and can't be cancel. And just as an update today is 3/11/2018 and I still haven't receive my bed set. last time i went to the store they told me that i only had to wait 3 more weeks , well it has been 5 weeks already and still haven't hear from them. Then about a week later you can hear the track is probably off when it goes up and the arm is coming off. When I went to the store it looked like it was good quality but it's actually pretty shity. If I could I would rate this store a Negative number! I purchased a sectional for $2,700.00 and paid full price with a delivery date of 4-6 weeks. The store texted me 27 days after to inform me that there was an issue with the material if I'd like to modify, I disagreed and went into the store a week later. I spoke with the manager at the mega furniture store in Avondale and he was absolutely RUDE ! he had no empathy and did not want to help me out. I went in to get my refund and he verbally assured me that I would receive my check of full amount 24-72 hours from that date. I asked for a print out proving that the process has been started and that I will receive my refund by the date he promised and he denied to give me any kind of confirmation. I waited another week and did not receive the check so I went back into the location and once again the manager was so disrespectful and said that I would have to wait another 24-72 hours for my check. Long story short I was very upset with the service from the manager. He was very rude , disrespectful and showed no kind of common management manners. Very unprofessional!! I decided to take this issue with cooperation and Human Resources! My advice is to go to another other furniture store but this one. read more
