Staff was very friendly and explained certain items on the menu in detail so I knew exactly what I was ordering. The House Bahn Mi is a pretty tasty and filling sandwich. And though I was pretty full after eating 1/2, I coudln't stop until the sandwich was done. The Bacon Bomb came out nice and hot and gooey. I would love if they came a bit smaller and kind of like a "one bite" type deal. The order only comes with one big one so be prepared get out the knife and fork to share or get 2 orders (I'd recommend 2 orders). The Spicy Pork Rice Bowl didn't disappoint either. Pretty decent portion of yumminess. There's an assortment of beverages in the upright coolers (no fountain sodas) and snack items along the counter to choose from. Honestly feel like this place is super overrated. The hours are so sporadic that I've been meaning to come try it for literal years, but it wasn't until this morning when I had a vehicle appointment nearby that I finally had the chance. I was pretty let down. First, the food is really bland and unseasoned and no amount of hot sauce really made it better. I had the California wrap, which is avocado with chicken, egg, cheese, peppers, onions. It was just fine, but I can and have made better at home easily. Second, I was expecting kind of an arcade vibe based on the descriptions and aesthetic, but this place basically just has a bunch of awkwardly placed TVs without a good space to use them and a ton of retro consoles I guess... you can plug and play yourself or something? It was not really clear what was for display and what could be played. Decent amount of nostalgia and memorabilia, but most of the actual play stuff is meh overall -- in fact, the main thing they had hooked up was one of those knockoff arcade pads with thousands of ROMs on it, almost all of which aren't suited for arcade pad. (Like, GoldenEye on an arcade pad, seriously?) Hopefully someone will open a diner / eatery with more inspired food, better and less cramped setting, and some real well-configured retro gaming setup in the area because this ain't it. 3.5 stars. While the food is good, I wouldn't recommend eating here too often. They have a lot of junky foods, the kind you might crave late at night. Lots of fried foods and carbs and cheese and spam. Of course, that kind of food is gonna taste good! The prices aren't bad, and are relatively on the cheaper side. but depending on what you order, you might feel like the portion is too small (you can still get pretty full and satisfied though due to the heavy nature of the food). Some items I enjoy are the loco moco, stuffed pancake, lemongrass banh mi, and tater tots. All in all, pretty darn tasty! The service is beyond impeccable - the staff are so nice and friendly! This is such a neat little breakfast/lunch cafe that offers a wide array of food selections. The breakfast burritos are on point and sandwiches are hot/fresh! The spam musubi is also an excellent side dish to add to your meal. There are lots of drink options and the food prices are very fair. The cafe has a vintage feel to it. Nothing fancy, but that's actually what's so comforting and nostalgic about this place. Of course the gaming corner adds to the vintage feel (they have old school games and consoles that you can play, including Super Smash Bros on N64). The only complaint I have about this place is that it's only open on the weekdays for breakfast and lunch! read more

I like the ambiance of this place, it's very laid back and a good place to get lunch. We tried the Mega House Steak and Cheese, Chili and Cheese Dog, Spam Musubi, and Mac and Cheese Rolls. We enjoyed it all. The Mega House Steak and Cheese Sandwich is huge, you can definitely share this. Filled with tons of meat, onions, green peppers, and cheese. The chili in the chili cheese dog was on point. Well seasoned and hearty. I was excited to see Spam Musubi on their menu, reminds me of Hawaii. It wasn't the best I've ever had, but still quite tasty and I'm just glad it's offered. The Mac and Cheese Rolls are madd good. Hidden inside Chantilly's business park lays Megabytes Eatery. I've wanted to try this place out for so long because of all the praise it received from both yelp, and personal references. Due to their M-F 7-3 hours, I was never really able to give them a try. That is, until today. When we first walked in, it looked like a normal cafe. It's pretty far from that, however. Some of the walls are decorated with computer chips, theres a gaming station in the corner (that has N64, Super Nintendo, and some emulator I didn't really look at), and food that tastes just as delicious as it looks, if not more. The menu has smaller than normal font, so at first glance it looks a bit intimidating. They sell sandwiches, subs, banh-mi, burgers, tacos, and many other things. They also have a variety of breakfast options. I had the spicy pork tacos, while my girl friend had the hot banh-mi. The spicy pork tacos were delicious and satisfying. Not quite so spicy as I had hoped, but that's where the sriracha comes in handy. The hot banh-mi was flavorful and filling. Not the best banh-mi I've tasted, but it definitely still one of the top. We also ordered a "Tots with Cheese Wrapped in Bacon" bomb. Initially, we figured it would be a bunch of tots with cheese wrapped in bacon, but when we were given the basket, we found that it was just a bunch of tots meshed together, with cheese wrapped in bacon. Not exactly what we thought we were getting, but it was delicious nonetheless. We totally disregarded the "bomb" aspect of the item. Living not to far from this establishment, I plan on coming back again in the future and trying more of the many food items available! read more

Megabytes is my go-to lunch spot whenever I find myself in Chantilly. They are open for breakfast and lunch, but close at 3pm on weekdays (however, they do open on some Saturdays (check their Instagram or FB page)! Everything here is great, from the asian-fusion subs to the rice bowls. Look out for their daily specials! I usually get the rice bowl for $7 that comes with an eggroll (and optional fried egg for $1 more). The owner is very friendly, and gave me two eggrolls today from when I wrote my previous review when they accidentally forgot to put one in my bowl. Kudos reaching out, and for the great customer service!! The guy who usually works the cash register at the front is great each time we visit too. I personally don't like breakfast burritos that are huge and almost too big to eat. The one I had came with hashbrowns, eggs and bacon. You can make yours with whatever you want. Their pancakes are delicious. They are a heavier pancake, but in a good way. Comforting breakfast food! My husband and I returned a couple days to try their lunch. I had the Philly cheesesteak. It was pretty tasty. I asked them to chop the beef up a bit more. I like more the minced meat vs. thick chunks of beef. I think the steak could have been a bit more seasoned though. The addition of tomato and lettuce was good too. If you're feeling a cheat day, get the chili cheese fries. So good! I do wish their had been more chili and cheese to cover the fries though. My husband had the spicy pork banh mi sandwich. He said it was alright. The onions were pretty raw and not cooked down. I think had the onions been cooked a bit more it would have been better. Got through about 60% of it and was full. Very affordable for that and a bottle of water for $5 and change. Their hours make me sad. I want to take my husband here but he works 6am-3pm so I'm not sure when I will be able to bring him! They have so many things that look amazing, I can't wait to come back! I was expecting some amazing greatness here based on fellow yelpers, but my overall first experience was not that great here. It could be that I didn't get the best items on the menu so I might come back and try again. I would honestly give a 3 and half star but I'm giving them a three star instead. This place certainly is unique and has an interesting vibe. The decor is all old tech theme w ninetendos and old Macintosh themed boxes, items, and books placed everywhere. It's pretty much filled with all the old 90s tech you had in your house and stored in the basement. The food selection is also unique and they offer options I don't expect like bacon wrapped everything and spam masubi and loco moco. This is where it starts to get confusing. The menus are hard to read and I could not find the tasty items I saw on posted from previous yelpers. This place needs to clean up the menu for customers so we know what's good. So I ended up ordering a Banh Mi sandwich and it didn't taste right. They didn't use a French roll and instead served the Banh mi on a Jimmy Johns like sub roll. On top of that the bread seemed a little stale. I also ordered a side of tater tots and it tastes like they don't change their deep fry oil often enough. Overall this place is on the dirty and outdated side. The technology decor is outdated, but so is their cooking equipment and soft drink machines, and grills. A fixed menu and updated appliances and a fresh paint job would go a long way for this small business. Also, the menu is too bloated. I saw all types of stuff from Vietnamese, Korean, Chinese, American, and Hawaiian dishes. I think they can cut out the food items they are not great at and focus on a couple of dishes that make them great and let customers know their specialty. Lastly this place is closed on weekends, so that's a bummer. If you want more business, leave at least one weekend day open. read more

After reading the reviews on this place for a couple years and hearing 2 friends back up this place I finally had to stop in. Have been 3 or 4 times in 30 day period and this place is LEGIT. Everything is made to order so the food is always hot and freshly prepared when you get it. The $5 spam musabi is one of my favorites and always ask about the specials. The bahn mi sandwich has great flavor but a tad too much bread for me. Favorite item is their Loco Moco. Official state dish of Hawaii consisting of rice, spam, eggs and gravy!!! Pay the small fee of extra spam and you will not be disapointed??? Great atmosphere for a breakfast/lunch joint. Friendly staff and everything is set up efficiently and mindfully. Wow, what an incredibly first class team! Came in after I saw they had seafood pad thai as one of their daily specials on FB only to find out that was the previous day. However, Jin were more than happy to make a special order as they still had some of the ingredients. Not only that but I asked to make it spicy, add an extra egg, and some chicken and they did it without batting an eyelash! Unlike most other places they didn't charge me half the meal for the extra additions either. Now let's talk about attention to detail, they typically only serve their foods in styrofoam boxes/plates so after making the fresh pad thai they went ahead and put a bed of cabbage in the box to prevent the food from melting through. Came here today really just to connect to the Free WiFi and didn't want to go to one of those big name brand places. Tables and chairs aren't soft and cushy like you might find at other places but the food is awesome and inexpensive. Ordered 1 breakfast wrap and a coffee which came out to $3 and change. "Thats all?" I asked. The lady responded honestly saying they are small and really more like a snack. So I ordered another one. Now in expecting the size of a McDonalds sausage burrito off the dollar menu. However when it came out, I was pleasantly surprised. I've also tried the House Bahnmi sandwich which was pretty BIG, but lacked a little bit of the sourness I'm used to from the pickled carrots/radish, but it was still very satisfying. I loved the feel and decor of this place! The food was good, my quesadilla was good, but my Mom's Pad Thai was amazing! The cost seemed about right and I thought it was super cool that they had a bunch of candy and other products you could buy from their store. Deli meat, drinks, candy, chips, cookies, muffins, etc. they were playing Terminator on a tv and they also had some sort of gaming system set up in one of the other corners. The place was well packed for a Monday at 12:30 I'd say. There were people coming in and out, eating and taking to go. The food was really quick to get to everyone which was also nice. Huge proportion, great amount of rice but only downsize is, there were way too much cabbage and not enough meat to balance it. The House Banh Mi was bomb as always. Going off of a trusted co-workers recommendation I just had to check this place out and was not disappointed at all. I love little hole in the wall places like this they have so much soul and personality to offer. If the name alone doesn't offer any hints walking in and seeing the place decorated with computer components and old electronics will solidify the clientele they are trying to attract. There is a tv in the back connected to several retro gaming consoles so you and your friends (or fellow patrons) can play super smash and other games while you wait for your food. A tv up front was showing anime if that wasn't enough. The place is stocked with novelty drinks and food products from all of your favorite games and tv shows. It's just fun to try them out. The menu is a diverse mix of diner flat top and fryer classics with Asian inspired flair added in. The prices are very reasonable for the food you receive. They run daily and weekly specials which are extremely appetizing and the breakfast menu is not something to be passed over. During my visit I ordered their house bah mi which had the classic pâté and red cooked pork and I tried all of their available bao (musubi, fried chicken, red pork chasu). The bah mi was delicious, with the tender, sweet and savory pork being the star and the same can be said for the bao. The staff was very friendly and engaged in conversation beyond the usual "hospitality small talk". I will definitely be eating here regularly. A word of caution however, it is a deli style place so they close at 3pm after lunch service and are closed Saturday and Sundays. So be sure to make it out here in time.
