That time the service lasted less than 5 hours. I cancelled the service that week and switched to Verizon. I returned the modem I had on Jan 13. Then I got a bill for $108 because of the set up fee and "service period". I paid it just to not have to deal with them any more! Now 6 weeks later I'm still fighting a charge for equipment they say I didn't return, but it's the modem the technician took back with him during the service call but he never left me with a receipt. I've had no less than 1 call a week and multiple emails and even the text service. Each time I'm told it will be cleared and then the next week I get some form of a reminder to return equipment or pay the $240 fee. Now several weeks and multiple calls later I FINALLY am told I need a ticket to open a case... so the saga continues...

This is the worst possible communications company. They over sell their capabilities. They lie. The…read moreservice is literally so slow that I have to go home to upload data through my Verizon internet. I just had a class that had to be cancelled because the internet was down, but they claim they charge the ridiculous amount that they do because they are providing better service than what is provided to residential customers. They trap you in a contract that you can't get out of without paying the full price of the contract. I've never heard of any other company doing that. They know their service is bad. They trap you so that you have to stay stuck with their crappy service. As soon as I can afford to get away from them, I am dumping them. I'd be willing to bet if they told their customers they were released from their contracts, most of them would run as fast as they can. Do yourself a favor, don't sign with cox. They are overpriced, they over promise, and then you're stuck. I regret it everyday single day.

I was here at the Center for Innovative Technology for a training class that took place Feb 5th…read morethrough Feb 8th. The company that was providing the training is not located in this facility but leases the training room for specific classes. The building itself is absolutely beautiful. The technology? Not so much. Innovation. Not at all. Now I'm sure from all the security, like having to be buzzed in to the parking area, that there is great (and very cool) work being done in the tall building on the grounds by the companies housed there. However, there is a "public" space in the shorter building where companies rent out classrooms or the auditorium for events that is almost comical for how technologically backwards it is. The classroom we used was just a room with some generic table and chairs set up. The projector was on a cart in the middle of the tables with a big extension cord running along the floor from a wall outlet. To participate in the class, we had to bring our own laptops because the facility does not have computers in the classroom. We connected to the Internet through a very weak WiFi connection that was so slow it hampered our ability to perform the lab exercises that relied on that connection. We were each given a $10 coupon to use for lunch in the building's cafeteria which was not a good experience. We quickly learned to avoid anything other than the salad bar (which was actually not bad) and bottled soda/water. One day I made a mistake of grabbing a pre-made chicken salad sandwich to go with my salad. It had obviously been a leftover from a previous day as the top piece of bread was stale and the bottom piece was a mushy mess as it had absorbed all the moisture from the tomatoes. I noticed that no one from the big office building came there for lunch. Again, the facility is beautiful and might be nice to visit for a presentation in the auditorium but otherwise this facility really doesn't have much to recommend it.

One of the necessities of city living, is having some type of security system for your home. I researched several companies and decided upon a highly recommended one, in First Security. First we met the sales representative, Jeremy, who was quite knowledgable about his competition and of course his company. He shared the differences First Security offered and every one of his points of contention were quite valid. I believed his straight forwardness and honest approach and agreed to utilize their services. Now the installation. Larry Conner was their man. This man had so much knowledge about his company, the alarm company they work with and every little detail one could ever ask for. He had the entire system set up in about an hour and completely covered every detail of their system. I was totally able to turn off, or turn on any part of their alarm from anywhere in the world. That was truly a feature we just loved. In early December we returned to our home, to find we had no heat in the upstairs of our home. Since the entire heating system had just been installed, we were totally baffled why this was happening. Was it our alarm installation? Did the installation effect the heating system? We called Larry to discuss the situation. He agreed to come back to the house to check out his installation and to be sure it wasn't caused by him. In an extremely professional manner, Larry explained why it couldn't be caused by the new security installation. He was so concerned that we didn't have heat, he called us at least 4-5 times during the week to see if we found the cause. That was far beyond his job description, but we truly appreciated his concern. We finally discovered by an electrician, that the wiring for our upstairs heating system was done incorrectly and the original gentleman who installed it, came back to repair the problem. Everything ended well, but we were totally taken back by the concern of First Security, We strongly recommend using their services. Totally first class in every way.

For me it's those two things that really stand out. Customer service and "it just works." In terms of customer service, it's hard to do better. The company's response time to questions is very fast. That's pretty much what you want. As for "it just works," the Alarm.Com system and equipment they are a dealer for really gives you peace of mind. It's actually secure. I could not be more pleased to work with and recommend the company.

I was next in line so I knew it would not be a problem for me to get service. Now for all the others waiting and it was getting closer to closing. I have just 2 questions: 1) why did you come close to closing? You are expecting these people to stay after hours and help you? 2) why are you taking your lack of common sense on these people when they can't help you because they are closing? I have been coming to this location for years and never have I had a problem with anyone that works here. I have 8 lines on my plan and they always handle my requests swiftly.
