This is a good location, but it could be better....a lot better. Some of the pros: -Great deli service. -Fresh deli salads. -A lot of the other locations have switched to prepackaged salads, like Walmart, not this one, at least not yet. -Good meat dept. Very friendly and accommodating, if you need something sliced. -Self checkout moves rather quickly. Cons: -Out of many items. -Prices are now more expensive than Walmart on all but sale items. -Too many sale items require quantity purchase to get the sale price. read more

Hopefully someone from the Meijer supervisor team sees this, as I discovered there is no user-friendly way to leave positive feedback on Meijer.com- just wanted to say we've had two really standout experiences at this location in the last week and it's extremely refreshing. The young man working the self-checkout on the pharmacy side around 5:00pm (he was wearing a Thanksgiving themed headband) had the loveliest energy and attitude I've encountered in customer service in a really long time. Seriously, a ray of sunshine. He's a credit to your staff and I hope y'all take excellent care of him. Could tell that he loves what he does and he made a point to make our day brighter. That's saying something for working a busy day before the holiday! He could've just as easily been stressed or not taken the time to chat at the register, but he did and it actually made my day much better. Thank you! I'm sorry we didn't catch your name. Also, the gentleman who was bringing out pickup orders on Black Friday around 4:00 was so quick, friendly and cheerful- much the same as above. Seemed to be recently renovated and fairly nice inside. But went with the goal of finding a mens bathing suit and despite it being a beach town in August there were barely any bathing suits in the whole store... so maybe skip it if that's what you're looking for read more

Now they've moved the can return machines even further in the store. You literally go from one end of the store to the other to return the cans/bottles. They have been out of service from time to time lately. If you go on Sundays, this place is a madhouse. Getting a small cart is a rarity as they are snatched up so quickly. The guys out in the parking lot whose main job is to retrieve carts are more interested in talking with each other while smoking a cig. If an item is on sale that week, chance are the shelf where it displayed has already been cleaned out by earlier shoppers. Sure, you could go around to the red phone and call someone to restock the shelf, but why does a customer has to remind the employee to do his/her job? While the sale prices are pretty low....the day to day items can be found for less across the street at Wal-mart. read more

Went to meijer in Grand Haven to shop for groceries. While I was there I tried to return some shoes where the ilet for the shoelace had broken within a few days of buying them. The lady at customer services would not let me return them because I bought them at the Holland Meijer and told me I must return them to the store I bought them at. Unfortunately I di not have the time to drive all the way to Hollend to return them today but will now have to make a special trip to do this. When did this happen. Really walmart does not have this rule. Pretty sad. I have been a regular customer of Meijer for many years and am pretty disappointed in the customer service today. I always have loved Meijer stores. Great prices, great people and owned by a great family. But who the heck decided to reorganize this store in 2019?! It's confusing and senseless. Probably the brain child of some designer the thinks everyone shopping there beelines for the kombucha and organic kale. Not most of us. If its not broken, don't fix it! read more

I shop this store several times a week. Employees are uber helpful and always have a great attitude, the greeters know many people by name and always offer to help find things you need. I have returned merchandise and always had a cheerful and prompt resolution if something was not to my liking. I'm surprised at the prior really nasty review, but note it is years old and the person mentions being unhappy with something made no effort to return it. I've shopped this store almost every other day going on three years now, and prefer to buy everything I can here because of the service and how clean the store is. read more

After reading all of your reviews I guess I can't add too much. But Meijers is going backwards instead of forwards in customer service. You should try to follow Wegmans out of New York, rather than Walmart. Wegmans has happy people for employees and a good selection of items. My biggest issue is the good old favorite brands are gone and your shelves seem to be half stocked. Check out is terrible. You're not quite as bad as Walmart but you're headed that way. This comes From a customer that have shopped at Myers for 35 years. I have been shopping there since your store was located and Jackson and 31 and I followed you to your new location. It's not too late to change back to where you were. Take the store back from the bean counters and lead with your heart. read more

Meijer is great. How do they fit so much into their store? How are their prices so reasonable? How do they keep everything so relatively neat and organized? I don't live in West Michigan anymore. I live in Houston, where there are no Meijer stores. But if Meijer wished to expand, they could beat any of the big-box one-stop type stores currently operating in Houston (e.g., Walmart, Target) on everything - price, selection, value. Residents of West Michigan, and Grand Haven -- do you realize what a boon you have in Meijer stores? I'm sure you do. It seems a shame that big cities have nothing that even comes close. read more

Meijer is wonderful. I love their prices and the fact I can always find everything I need. However, recently the quality of service has significantly declined. A couple days ago I was at the deli and each item I asked for was wildly off. For example, I asked for 1/2 pound of turkey and she cut me over 2 pounds. When I asked her for only 1/2 a pound, she rolled her eyes and clucked her tongue. I was very offended. Lately the lines to check out have also been offensive, especially when you are shopping with children. I waited in line for twenty minutes last week with my two year old. Meijer is a wonderful store, but they need to get their ducks in a row and focus on costumer service. read more

Since I don't live in Grand Haven I only stop in here maybe once a year or so. It's pretty typical of what you would expect from a Meijers store with one nice exception. The thing that I think makes this store a little better than most Meijer stores is in my limited interactions with the employees here they always seem to be a little friendlier than at other stores. I wish we could trade our local Meijers for this store and most importantly it's staff. read more

I love Meijer. This location is clean and friendly. It carries more specialty goods than some other locations like Organix brand treats and some Annie's Natural items. Prejudice is fresh and clean, the shelves are well stocked and the staff helpful. I love mPerks and shopping the sales. We've saved almost $800 so far this year alone. Almost everything we purchase is the True Goodness organic Meijer brand, and we love it! read more

Asked for help from the individuals behind the counter in the meat department. Specifically for a particular cut of meat in a specific size. There was no meat in the glassed counter. However, there were multiple racks full of meats, I saw some of the strip steaks I wanted. The individual who spoke with me could not be bothered to look in the racks behind the counter but told me that there were some in the cases in the meat section, all of which were very small cuts. It would have take him less than a minute to look on the racks. Very poor customer service. read more
