A year and a half ago they replaced my steering boot and axle but screwed it up by installing the wrong size. After losing transmission fluid and the car having to be towed, they finally installed the right part. The manager at that time apologized and said the next time I come in for an oil change, it will be on them. Fair enough. Except... This morning I went in for an oil change - crickets. No record. Plus they charge $6.90 for shop supplies and $2.43 for a "convenience fee". And they compute the taxes on all of the above. So the $59.99 oil change became $74.52. The floor on the passenger side of our car was soaking wet. Meineke diagnosed it in minutes, I went next door and bought a new cabin filter, Meineke installed it and wet vacuumed the floor for no charge. They also fed us candy bars while we waited! I took my car in to them July of 2023 because my AC stopped working. A few weeks later not working again. Today is now the 4th time I brought it back and they are now telling me it will be 1500 dollars to fix it and they want to charge me 245 for the Freon after I paid 250 for it to be filled in July. It took them 4 times to figure out the problem? They also did work on power steering to my other car and I got the car back with a broken hose so power steering fluid is all over my engine. read more

This is my 2nd time here in the last 3 months. I have a Mercedes's ML350. I took my car there 3 months ago for when my brake light sensor displayed. Prior to coming here, I had made a couple appointments at other locations and brought my car there only to be told they don't service Mercedes. When I brought car to Meineke, I was greeted right away. They took the car in to do a quick inspection. Came back very promptly to let me know what is needed and cost. They were very thorough in letting me know how long the wait is as well. They texted me before the promised time it was ready. Today my wife took our car there to check on coolant sensor. They did a check again and told her they only had to tighten a clamp. Then filled up my coolant and told her no charge. Such kindness and generosity and professionalism. AMAZING!!! read more

My car needed an oil change and battery cleanup. I was scheduled for Subaru dealership next week, but I'm taking a car trip this weekend and wanted to have everything in order before going out of town, so made an appointment with Meineke. During the hour and a half wait, every single customer there was upsold with outrages price quotes for services that they did not originally bring their car in for. The owners were well rehearsed on how to pull on the heartstrings and create fear if the services were not immediately taken care of. In one case, they acted aghast that a customer was not hearing their brakes squealing, because they said all four were in need of a complete replacement. My husband is a retired professional driver and knew that my battery just needed to be cleaned. They tried to convince us that we needed a whole new battery with a 5-year warranty, but we are about to sell the car. The battery is fine. Another elder lady was being talked into getting $1,000 brake job, when new brakes would reasonably only cost half that. And they weren't even offering her new brakes, just working on the current ones. We won't be going back there, and have no idea how they got the 4.8 rating. read more

I am usually a skeptic when it comes to franchise repair shops. More times than not, they attempt to up-sale to drive the bill up. A few years ago, a competitor of Meineke on State Highway 200 attempted to sell me a new set of tires when I went in for an oil change. I had just purchased a set of tires a month earlier. I may have snow on the top of my head, but my brain hasn't turned to mush. On to my review. I look after elderly parents. The battery in their car recently went dead. It was a bit frustrating because the battery was only a year old. I was afraid it was the alternator. We had it towed to Meineke because that is where they like to do their repairs. Mike and Debbie went above and beyond the call of duty. The battery was bought at the auto store next door last year. They tested it, determined it was the battery and took the old one to the auto part store, and replaced it free of charge. They could have tried to sell my parents an alternator - but they didn't. One of the reasons I had the car towed was that it had bad tires. Debbie called me and related that only three tires were bad - not four. Instead of trying to sell me four, they only sold three. If they told me all four needed to be replaced, I would have listened. As opposed to trying to sell the most expensive tires, they recommended a less expensive tire that was still good. My parents don't drive much they didn't need expensive tires. Mike and Debbie are ethical, honest and a pleasure to do business with. The car was ready when they said it would be ready. It's nice to know that my parents' car is in good hands at Meineke on State Road 200. read more

Thank you for fixing our Jeep's brakes, front and back. I feel safer now. However, shame on you. You ask did an oil change. Jeep was not leaking when we brought it in. It began leaking oil day after brought home. We didn't think much of it thinking it was "overage". I brought Jeep by for you to check this leakage only to be told it's the oil pan and it needs to be replaced. How did it get damaged? It was fine when we brought it to you and no one mentioned it being damaged after oil change. Shaking my head. I'm hoping y'all can repair oil pan either free of charge or a lot less than estimate provided. Maybe the mechanic who did oil change damaged it? It leaked al over my in-laws driveway and they're not happy about having to clean it up. Neither are we. Do what's right and man up!! Update: Hey Meineke. I sent an email as you suggested with my phone number. I'm still waiting on your call. So I guess you weren't sincere when you mentioned you wanted to help. Update #2: We decided to let Meineke fix the oil pan as our trip out of state is coming up. You did a wonderful job and staff very courteous to me personally. :). Pulled up to Meineke off of i-75 with a sudden car problem (metal hanging loose on bottom of car) and the mechanics hopped out to help with no hesitation before I even approached the storefront. The staff and crew at Meineke are fantastic in service, experience , and courtesy. At 76, female, and no knowledge of car repair, I purchased a 2004 Ford Ranger in great need of renovation. For 6 months, every time the engine light came on for a variety of warnings, I was at Meineke. They were honest, fair, and great to work with. They got the truck to the point that it ran well and I was not afraid to drive it and be stranded somewhere. I passed it along, with confidence, to a relative who was delighted and now Meineke takes care of my Mountaineer for me. read more

This was a while ago but you remember good service where ever you go. I had a slow leak on a tire and the technicians spotted it right away. Instead of a plug which may have been cheaper the "shop" pulled the tire and repaired from inside out. It has been fine with no problems and surprisingly the cost was reasonable... The "crew" was courteous all the way through even when having to deal with my "cheap mode". read more

Went in for a tune -up, new plugs wires the works spent over a thousand dollars. Got home and the next day noticed a leak under radiator. Popped the hood and noticed a hair line crack on top of radiator. I took in to Meineke to have a look at and mechanic said stress fracture and would not take responsibility for maybe dropping a tool on top. I said didn't leak before I took into Meineke and no one would take responsibility . Very untrustworthy, and plenty of other auto repair shops in the area. read more
