Manuel Sanchez is by far the best of the best contractor I've had the good fortune to ever work with. His integrity is second to none. I highly recommend him and Meja Construction, without any reservations. In the midst of the pandemic, my HOA advised me I needed to replace a portion of my cantilever beam at my front door porch entry due to dry rot. Because of the pandemic, it took one (1) year of painful interaction with 20+ contractors, sorting through varied proposed scopes of work, with quotes that ranged from either the job was too small or too big, or would cost anywhere from $5,600 to $30,000. Not one of the scopes of work was the same, and some entailed completely having to rebuild my front door entry. I was at my wits end at this point and decided to go back to the drawing board to try to find a new set of contractors to go through the process with. I'm so glad I gave it one more go around! Right out of the gate, Manuel Sanchez with Meja Construction asked for photos and a copy of the architectural/engineer drawings I had paid the initial contractor for. Long story short...as it turns out, all that needed to be done was a little portion of dry rot needed to be removed and repaired; NO construction nor destruction of my front porch entry was necessary! And, the cost for the repair was Less than what the initial contractor charged me for his required architectural/engineer drawings, (which cost me $3,000+). Charlie performed the necessary repair in less than a day and left my front entry good as new. (Please see photos herein.) Here is my candid experience. It is very unfortunate that I have to report that I did not have a good experience with this company. If you are considering remodeling, I would suggest obtaining several estimates and ask to see actual work of prior customers (not just photos). If I could give a zero, I would. Let me start by saying I hired Manuel to fix a leak in my shower stall. He charged me over $8000.00, doing a half assed job. Then the leak came back 5 months later. He came back to fix the leak again. He did another half assed job and the leak came back 6 months later. This time when I contacted him via phone, text and email, he ignored all of my requests. I had to hire someone to determine where the leak was coming from. Then I had to pay near $2000 to fix the water damage and the mold that had accumulated for 11 months. Then I had to pay someone else to fix the actual leak. This man should be out of business. Do NOT waste your hard earned money. read more
