I bought take out from this restaurant yesterday 1-9-26. I ordered general tsos chicken. Their version of this was a small piece (finger tip size) of chicken rolled up in a large breaded ball (mostly breading). Pretty much the only thing edible was the brown rice. I tried to reach the restaurant by phone but there was no answer. Definitely not worth the $12.75 I paid. My loss. read more

We were in the area today after going to the African safari drive-through so we wanted something quick for lunch before going back to the Detroit area. I saw on Yelp that this place had cheap hibachi, so we decided to stop here. It's definitely more of a takeout Chinese restaurant but they do have booths if you want to eat there. There are no hibachi tables so I'm assuming they just cook it in the back? Very confusing. I had chicken with cashew nuts and my boyfriend had orange chicken. We both got the combo plates and it was about $18 for two which isn't bad, although I think later I realized we could have got the lunch combos instead. The combos come with egg rolls, but they had shrimp in them so I skipped mine, and pork fried rice. Everything was tasty and very fresh although we were the only people there so that's probably why. :) Not a bad place to go for Chinese food overall. read more

So I have to be honest this was the worst Chinese foods I have ever had. Orange chicken was full of breading. House noodles had no seasoning on it at all no soy sauce nothing but two boiled shrimp and plan noodles that was it. The fried wonton was deep yellow full of very old grease and very tuff didn't even try to taste them. Very gross. The soup had grease on the top. We are not from here so maybe this area thinks this is what it should taste like. If I could give it no stars I would. Don't waste your money take a 10 minute drive and go to the next town. Took one bite and tossed everything out. read more

I got rice eggrolls and lo mein and I have severe food poisoning I can't even keep water down I am in the hospital and had to get shot in my butt. Play Manas I don't even know if the chicken is real chicken because it looks so weird this restaurant is a zero if I could know 0. Very friendly service. Very nice people. The food is good but they skimp on the meat whatever it is. Beef, pork, chicken. Little strips of chicken about an inch long in my chicken dish I got. There were only 6 pieces of this chicken in my whole quart of food. Same with the other meats. I don't go here anymore because of this. I don't expect a pound of meat but I expect enough meat in my dishes. Ridiculous! read more

Love this place by Kroger store. There is another Chinese place by Bassett's and that place isn't very good compare to Peking House. The food is nice and hot. I have not been disappointed yet by them. You have to pick it up or eat in. There is no delivery. read more

This is my family's favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. The food is pretty good, fast, and consistent. The restaurant seems to be family run and the service isn't too friendly; as it is takeout, I don't really mind the lack of a friendly greeting. For Chinese takeout, it has my vote for the best in the area. read more

A small family owned restaurant in the strip mall by Kroger's. It's somewhat small, and isn't fancy, but the food makes up for the appearance. It was great food, especially for the price. The General Tso's chicken had a good crunch with a soft inside, and was very well seasoned. The fried dumplings, however, were by far the best. The dipping sauce served with the dumplings was so good you could drink it. Next time you're in the Port Clinton area stop by and order up some Chinese. We'll definitely be back read more

I ordered the sesame chicken & took it home to enjoy. Opened it up, looked good, smelled great, until I bit into the first piece of "chicken". It tasted AWFUL, so I spit it out & examined it. Amongst the very dried up chicken was something I couldn't even identify. I put this piece aside and reluctantly took another bite. I immediately spit this one out, too. I cut the rest of this piece open to discover there was NO chicken in it. Only fried breading. I cut open a third piece to find more of the same: Fried breading with a couple strands of very dry chicken. I was very disappointed because I loved & missed the sesame chicken from Pattaya/Ginza, and I was told Peking House was owned by the same family. I've never returned food before, but I believed this should be an exception, so I headed back to the restaurant. There were a few customers in there and I didn't want to make a scene, so I stepped up to the counter and quietly explained my objections to my meal. The owners opened it up, and after looking through it, returned to me and said I could choose something else. I explained I didn't want anything else, just a refund. I mean, really.... Why would I want to put anything else from this place in my mouth when I had to spit out some part of a chicken that I'm sure human beings aren't meant to consume...? The woman said since I had eaten part of it, no money could be returned. OK, but I HADN'T eaten any of it. I only tried two pieces, both of which I spit out, and cut into a third. There were a few rounds of this same argument before I just had to turn around and leave, without my $10.25.Lesson learned the hard way, I guess. i really like peking house usually the food is good but tonight i ordered the chicken chow mein (to mix things up) and what i got was not chicken chow mein at all. it didnt even look close to what chow mein is suppose to look like, i usually dont post on yelp but it really upset me i was looking forward to stir fried noodles but instead it was just little chick mein pieces and all cabbage and onions and shredded lettuce and gross clear soup there wasnt even any noodles in it! it literally looked and tasted like a child didnt know what chow mien is and just threw something together. 10/10 would not recommend read more
